- Schmee5291 (6/5): Don not get first floor room - Balcony rooms that face the lake on the first floor. I highly recommend not to get. you are so close to the restaurant people they’re looking right at you they might as well share their dinner with you so it’s not private at all
- Jason (7/5): -
- Kristin (10/5): Top notch service, with gorgeous rooms and amazing views of the lake! - The hotel is beautiful and the room is gorgeous. Extremely comfortable bed, massive tub and large room. And the best part is how attentive and kind all the staff are at the hotel from the manager to front desk to housekeeping and the restaurant. There is nothing about this hotel we don’t like. We love this hotel.
- Amina (10/5): - Everything from the courtesy staff to housekeeping and the restaurant. N/A
- Catherine (10/5): We will return - The view was beautiful
The cleanliness was outstanding
The staff was great The drinks & friendliness of restaurant staff was great but the food was just ok.
- Maureen (10/5): -
- Plumber1 (10/5): Loved it can't wait to go back - Great I liked everything
- Zhao (10/5): -
- wendyvR5636NG (10/5): Wonderful stay! - Wonderful room, quality decor and incredible lake views! Great restaurant! Our one-night, off-season stay was really superb.

- glA9702AY (8/5): Excellent retreat by the lake with reasonable price! - We recently booked a suite at this hotel and were pleased to find room 301 to be perfect for our needs along with a bottle of complimentary champagne! The room's cleanliness was impressive, with a spotless and clean environment throughout. Its location is conveniently situated, being only a 6-minute drive from Lake Geneva's downtown area. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Additionally, the onsite restaurant, Oak & Oar, offers a variety of dishes at reasonable prices, which we found to be quite satisfactory. We can envision the hotel being particularly lovely during the summer months with its views overlooking the lake. However, we did encounter some issues with the heating system, as there was only one outlet in the living room, which necessitated keeping the master bedroom door open to warm the space. The photo of the room category on the hotel's website accurately represented the suite. Despite the heating issue, we would consider staying at this hotel again due to its excellent location, competitive pricing, and luxurious amenities. The suite's amenities, including a microwave and fridge, made it easy for us to bring leftover food from restaurant and prepare our own meals. For those seeking a peaceful retreat by the lake, away from the crowds, we highly recommend this hotel.

- R7581WLheidih (10/5): A hidden GEM in Lake Geneva - I have stayed there many times, it was one of our favorite places to go. The walk starts at the bottom of the hill and always is very enjoyable. Since my husband passed away 8 yrs. ago, I still come up to the Lake and love it. Very relaxing, clean and always friendly staff!
- TedW1949 (10/5): Great Lake Geneva stay - Great location & view from our room balcony of Lake Geneva
Special Valentine Day dinner at Oak & Oar! Lobster Bisque, Filet, Red Velvet Cake with Chocolate Cherry Dark Rum martini
- Amy (9/5): It was amazing!!! - It is beautifully and perfectly located to anything you may want to do (dining, shopping, exploring, etc). It was like a spa environment w/o the spa prices (robes & chocolates on our bed). It’s the little things/touches that put them over the top with me!!! Nothing. We arrived late and were warmly greeted by staff.
- dwilbrandt (10/5): Best in Lake Geneva - Love this place. The service was good, the staff friendly and helpful. The food was good and you can't beat the view.

- Inspire26912165702 (10/5): Perfect Winter Getaway - Beautiful hotel. Luxurious room. Amazing lake views. Loved the plush bathrobes. Excellent restaurant. Friendly staff.
- Road30582981762 (4/5): Bad experience but will return - We have stayed at this hotel multiple times - its a short drive from our home and its a nice "staycation" which is why we decided to go for NYE. This experience was not good! Bar/Restaurant was horrible and the 2 night min was excessive. We will be back but hopefully it will be a better experience.

- ldb60 (10/5): Best Birthday at the Geneva Inn - Just got back from staying at the Geneva Inn and it was beyond wonderful. The staff was so friendly and the room with the lake view was just amazing. I was celebrating my birthday and it was so sweet to be greeted with a glass of champagne as well as a bottle waiting in our room I felt so special ❤️ Had dinner at the redone Oak and Oar restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and affordable which we appreciated. Can’t wait to return hopefully in the spring. Was sad to leave but look so forward to another stay.
- jenniferdS8838EL (10/5): Great girls' weekend! - Loved our girls getaway at this beautiful boutique hotel! It was cold outside but the warmth inside was appreciated. I loved my room which was large in size and slept well. The restaurant had delicious food with wonderful views. Downtown Lake Geneva was minutes away with shopping and additional places to dine. We'll be back next year for sure!
- Sandra (10/5): - Clean, festive, restaurant was gorgeous, price was wonderful, view was amazing overlooking the lake. Large spacious rooms
- Currie (7/5): -
- Laine (3/5): I mean fiine... - Location was decently close to downtown lake geneva They had decided to close the restaurants and I was told upon arrival. The restaurants were one of the main aspects as why I chose this hotel as I had had a 7 hour drive prior to arriving and did not expect to have to go back out into snowing and below zero temp weather evening to try to find a restaurant. . They also impose a 300 room deposite which cannot be addressed any way except upon arrival on a credit card. I tried to pay cash as ive had bad experiences with that deposit not being removed from my account in past situations. . My card has a 500 limit set on it daily to prevent theft situations. I wasn't expecting to have to come up with almost 700$ for a two night stay and had to go back out to my car again to get another credit card. When I finally did get up to my room on the 3rd floor my room key then did not work. It was just a lot of added aggravation I didn't need .
- Gomez (8/5): Nice quite stay - Food Just for sleep n eat that all u can do
- Mark (9/5): -
- danjfrank25 (10/5): Great place - Beautiful stay with my wife. Could not think of a better place for us to get away. The room was well put together with a nice front room and large bedroom area with walk in shower and perfect tub. Cannot wait to go back.
- hollisb33 (2/5): Mildew odor in room - I stayed at the Geneva Inn in October. The room we were given (214) had a very pungent mold and mildew odor that gave me itchy eyes and headaches. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We did complain to the hotel but they felt the odor was just fine. Stay elsewhere.
- Amanda (8/5): Very nice, would recommend - Very clean and very nice I thought it was a little bit closer to downtown, but that’s OK… Just had to use our car and was not planning on that… Also, it was a little higher than we wanted to spend, but we were overall happy with our stay
- Nancy (10/5): - Everything, it was a beautiful relaxing place. Love the accommodations and had a fabulous dinner.
- urbangirl211 (8/5): Two days in Lake Geneva - Location was great. Atmosphere was very nice. Rooms....some still need updates like the TV. Value....everything pricey in Lake Geneva. Cleanliness, except for the balcony off our room, was good. Noise level....heating/cooling is VERY noisy and takes forever to cycle off and if you have the fan on, it makes a ticking noise. BUT, after calling front desk to see if we could turn the heating/cooling totally off so we didn't have to listen to it, they were able to control manually and shut off so we had a peaceful next night. Otherwise, you do hear some noise from other rooms, I guess, but not bad. Service was outstanding! Amenities....meh.
- Lynda (10/5): Fantastic - Everything, particularly location Nothing
- Marshia (10/5): - It was a very nice area and very quaint. There was some issues with the restaurant. Food took a long time to come and then it was cold. The waitress did the best she could.
- barry (8/5): - Beautiful, spacious great view We were charged a late checkout fee. We asked for a late check out. After spending money on two rooms including a suite it would have been nice to have that fee waived. Also the toilet and the toilet paper holder is too close to the toilet.
- Carol (7/5): Pretty hotel - The location and the restoration of the facility. Our room was overlooking the parking lot on the first floor, and it was very uncomfortable because we couldn’t leave the curtains open or people would’ve seen in the window. For the prices they charge they should’ve included breakfast.
- Amanda (10/5): -
- Christine (10/5): - Wonderful stay!
- Quest59205851382 (6/5): Great hotel, subpar staff - Fantastic location, great views of lake. Staff in September was C+ at best in terms of knowledge and professionalism. Great dining.
- asiantrekker (4/5): Beautiful view but many problems - The Inn is located 2.2 miles from town (approximately 10-minute drive). The lake view room was spacious with a beautiful view of the lake. Now for the negatives:
· At Check-In you must sign a bunch of papers with little explanation of what you were signing.
· The Receptionist was frequently absent, leaving a card saying that she would be back “shortly”. This was also the problem with the lobby coffee bar.
· The thermostat could not be regulated in the room. We were told the boiler was not working or perhaps it was not turned on for the next season. As the room was freezing, we requested a space heater and extra blankets. This was unacceptable for a 4-star hotel with rates over $350 a night.
· The bathroom was very small for a “luxury” hotel. The huge bathtub, by contrast, was in a prominent position in the bedroom which looked a bit too funky for our taste.
· Many things needed a coat of fresh paint.
· It was a surprise for us to find that breakfast was not served at the Inn. However, there was a small coffee bar in the lobby-reception area where you could purchase some breakfast items to be either taken to your room or outside weather permitting.
· Unfortunately, The Oak and Oar restaurant will not allow you to reserve a table by the window. Even with a confirmed dinner reservation, it is a first come first serve system for a table by the window, so plan to arrive early for dinner if you want a table with a view.
· The menu at The Oak and Oar is very limited in “heathy” choices. Another negative was the slow service.
Despite the location and lovely view of Lake Geneva, we would not return to the Geneva Inn. There are better choices for the price.
- Jennifer (10/5): Absolutely beautiful hotel with amazing views. - The Geneva Inn was absolutely beautiful, everything about it was gorgeous. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was lovely with an amazing shower. The views were amazing and the location was great. Staff were super helpful. Loved walking along the Lake Shore path. Oak and Oar had beautiful views over the lake and the food was delicious. Can’t wait to come back.
- Richard (10/5): - Super nice
- sandra (9/5): -
- Q467GAedwardr (8/5): All was well. - Attended a family wedding at the Lake Geneva Country Club. Location was fine close the Lake Geneva facilities shops, etc. and the Country Club.
- Robert (9/5): -
- BlueDemonGene (8/5): Lake facing balcony room is very scenic and plays well for a romantic getaway - Balcony views of the lake are amazing. We reserved about a month in advance, ahead of the Labor Day weekend and so knew that our lake-facing rooms would be limited. Sure enough we landed on the last remianing room, which was on the first floor, closest to the lobby. Still, the views were magnificent because the property sits atop a hill. Only drawback is that we were quite visible to the patrons eating in the restaurant as our balcony was partially exposed to them. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The screens to the balcony require some getting used to operate as they hinge on strong magnets and springs, so you need to be able to pull and control the handle; otherwise they act as slingshots and slam loudly into place. They are absolutely necessary to keep all the lake dwelling bugs out. Great location away from the busy downtown area and convenient access to the walking path around the lake - a terrific activity while staying at the property. For the cost, wish they had a pool or a jacuzzi in the room (plenty of space for it), especially after a day-long hike around the lake. Only complaint is that the TV in the room is very archaic to operate.
- vita (7/5): -
- jjcin (10/5): Cozy and quiet - Stayed here 3 days on vacation. Stayed in a lakeview room. We drank coffee every morning on the balcony. It was quiet and relaxing. Hotel is at edge of town so it was quieter than other hotels. Staff also friendly.
- BRIAN (10/5): - Extraordinary experience. From welcoming champagne to cleanliness of room to friendly/enthusiastic staff. Marvelous in every respect.
- Kate Adametz (6/5): - Beds are small double beds and rather firm. At $359/ night, queen size beds with pillow tops would seem more in line. Also found a dirty robe in the closet, hung up as if clean. Overpriced.
- masaaki (9/5): -
- Joseph (3/5): -
- jrbsiu87 (10/5): Great stay at the Geneva Inn - Beautiful little hotel right on the shore of Lake Geneva. Well appointed and comfortable rooms. Great location to explore everything Lake Geneva has to offer.
- Mary Pat (6/5): - Not enough outlets in room, terrible parking, over priced for no amenities...
- Jim (10/5): - Fantastic view , comfortable bed
- johnvailtokyo (10/5): Always nice - Stayed here again and the view was worth the price. Very well maintained although I would say our mattress was a bit indented.
The nice restaurant is very nice… especially the service… and the trout! It was locally caught and prepared in healthy style.
- U7710TJbrendak (10/5): The Geneva Inn found my 1000. Cash and returned it from laundry room - The Geneva Inn ……5 STARS.
A busy wedding wknd left me with a lost Drivers license, 1000 cash , platinum AMEX card and debit card. I GUESS IT GOT LOST IN THE COMFORTER. Lol.
Laken from the front desk called and said the girls in housekeeping found it !! Bless these sweet people. Yes I tipped them well. There is still kindness in this World.
Your valuables are safe at Geneva Inn. Thank you for the surprise phone call when we arrived back in Florida ❤️❤️
- Kym (10/5): - Friendly reception. Great service. Gorgeous views from the private deck. Clean and safe. The hotel restaurant was closed for remodeling. Construction next door. Walkable path on the lake connects all around the lake.
- Abbey (10/5): -
- Jane (8/5): -
- ALEKSEY (10/5): - Resort and its location is excellent. Make sure you reserve the lake view room.
- Cierra (10/5): I wish we could have stayed in Lake Geneva longer, it was a perfect get away for the weekend - Gorgeous view, peaceful neighborhood There is nothing I disliked
- Teresa (4/5): NOT GOOD. - It was in the lake The air conditioning has clearly seen better days the rooms were very humid. The floors in the bathroom/showers are a high gloss tile. I’m amazed I didn’t slip and break a hip. I’m sure I’m not the only person who has mentioned this.
The restaurant food is lacking. They can’t even make a BLT sandwich. The bacon was cold the toast was cold. Overall the foods not good. They do not serve breakfast. Since they are so off the beaten path that’s an issue. You can’t walk anywhere.
We were a party of 10 we made reservations 4 months in advance they screwed up the reservation and made it for Thursday rather than Friday. They shoved us in this room that was no better than a diner. Lastly, the waitress included the gratuity which is perfectly acceptable, unfortunately, it was not brought to our attention which it should have been so she was tipped twice. I would have felt better about it if the service was good m.
- karenpL4618EB (8/5): Lake views to savor - Quiet inn with amazing balcony views of the lake! Easy access to the lake front walking path. We enjoyed the whole area and this inn was a nice refuge from the crowds in town.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- aschafer21 (6/5): A Four Star Wanna-Be - Lovely view and big rooms that can't be beat. While our stay was acceptable, for the nightly price, we found essential things lacking (fully functional air conditioning, ability to regulate blower; no breakfast; more seating or small couch).
- Kelly (10/5): - Every detail was perfect! From check in to check out, we had a wonderful stay
- William (4/5): - Booked a lake view room but our room faces parking lot. Very disappointed
- Don (6/5): Rooms updatwd but balcony is so dirty! - Room was nice except no mattee what we did for hvac temperature it never got colder or warmer. The balcony would have great potential if it was cleaned. It was filthy and we didnt want to sit in the chair as they were covered in dirt. It really needs some cleaning!
- Kathleen (9/5): The Geneva Inn is the perfect destination for a luxurious weekend getaway. - I am a big fan of The Geneva Inn. It is a beautiful property in a fantastic location. I noticed an unpleasant smell in the area. It was beyond the hotel, too, so perhaps it was the water?
- Andrea (10/5): - Loved the quiet part about the hotel. The views were amazing. Unfortunately our experience in the restaurant was not so good.
- William (6/5): - A couple doors in our room looked beat up. Service on our room service wasn’t correct. Otherwise…ok.
- chantelleb0 (10/5): relaxing anniversary stay :) - IT was a very relaxing and beautiful setting...we highly recommend the walk along the lake into town and west from the hotel as well :) especially in the early mornings ;)
- John (8/5): - Great place. Was under construction when we visited or the score would be higher.
- ZTraveler84 (6/5): This is Not Luxury - This was not “luxury.” While the balcony view of our suite was wonderful, nothing else measured up. Room 301 needs attention. The kitchen had no supplies, not even a towel, and the ceiling was peeling. The weatherstripping on the door to the balcony was also coming off. There were black marks on the walls, cabinets and door frames. There was no deadbolt. The living area furniture was mismatched and there was no art on the walls. The bathroom door hook was falling off. These are things that any hotel employee could easily see and report so they are fixed. There’s just no quality control. We were very disappointed, especially considering the steep price we paid for luxury. I expressed my displeasure at the front desk and all I received in return was “we’ll leave a note for management.” I haven’t heard a thing since. So much for the guest experience.
- Anita (10/5): - Very spacious renovated room. Exceptional view, quiet neighborhood, cozy balcony, beautiful restaurant in the hotel with good food, drinks and prices.
- marilyn (4/5): - Very mediocre room for the price. Not even a cup of coffee offered for breakfast. Overpriced!
Nothing extraordinary.
- James (10/5): - Great views of Lake Geneva and Nice restaurant with views!
- 325kristinee (10/5): A Beatiful Retreat in a Superb Location - This was one of the most beautiful waterfront hotels we have ever stayed at! The Suites were absolutely gorgeous. The entire staff provided world class hospitality and service. The perfect destination for a getaway. Enjoyed the water views from the balcony and all of the amenities the property had to offer. We will definitely be back!
- Kristine (10/5): - A truly elegant property with gorgeous lake side views. Well appointed interior design and decor, thoughtful architecture, courteous and attentive customer service. No detail was left unsaid. What a beautiful place to stay, thank you!
- Brenda (10/5): - Beautiful... Wish we would've known to make reservations to eat at the restaurant downstairs.
- Chris (8/5): - The room was nice and clean. The Lakeview option was the best part. The staff was super friendly and helpful. But for the price, the room should have more luxury options. You are basically paying for the view. There was no microwave in the room. The restaurant opened the day after we arrived. The food was ok, but nothing special. They have two parking lots so plenty of parking. The boathouse bar and grill is in walking distance and has great food.
- Timothy E (4/5): - Total scam/misrepresentatio. Charged me full freight and the hotel was under construction…no dining or food service.
- Kristin (7/5): staycation - I love the quaintness of the hotel. It's beautiful. the rooms are nicely renovated and the view from the balcony is breathtaking, however there were so many bugs it looked like a wall. we couldn't enjoy the balcony or the weather. the bed was very very firm and the thermostat was hard to control. we did love the coffee maker in room and the option to buy from the mini fridge. it was pretty costly for the room and would have liked to be able to enjoy it. the restaurant was under construction which wasn't ideal but we were hoping the coffee/ breakfast bar was open and it wasn't either.
- Voyage779283 (2/5): Terrible - The new restaurant was launched; when I arrived I was told they restaurant had a soft launch for friends and family and they kicked out. I spoke with the so called manager and she was terrible!
She told me the restaurant will officillky open Memorial Day weekend; when I said I’ll make sure I won’t be coming back, she said good night
- Lorena (6/5): Weekend getaway - The view to the lake was great. But the room was lacking in a lot of things. The remote control wasn’t the original for the tv so simple things like turning up the volume or changing the channel was an inconvenience. The bathroom door did not latch. The main door didn’t have the second lock. The showers were great. The beds were comfortable
- Lance (10/5): - The staff was friendly and very helpful, the inn was very clean and the lake view was spectacular
- Theresa (5/5): Passable - The room was clean Booking got my reservation wrong. I asked for a Lakeview, and they gave me a non-lakeview room. I had to pay $75 to upgrade to a Lakeview room. Then. we had to go out to eat because their restaurant is under renovation. No breakfast served a paid grab and go was offered. No microwave nowhere in the hotel to warm up your food. The hotel is very expensive with no amenities, no hot food. No pool, no microwave, nothing.
- James (10/5): - Fantastic Hotel!
- Marisela (10/5): - The hotel looks great, I love the view, just tinny things on maintenance, like wallpaper was a little loose in some places on hallways. I was expecting to have food in the hotel, but restaurant was closed and it is something that I didn’t know beforehand.
- Kristin (10/5): - After a 2000 mile journey, my husband and I decided to make one final stop before heading home. We managed to snag a last-minute deal on a king-size lake view room with a soaking tub. The complimentary glass of champagne at check-in was a delightful touch. Our room was stunning—immaculately clean, quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The balcony offered an amazing view. We appreciated that the hotel was just off the main drag, so we weren't disturbed by town traffic, yet it was easy to access downtown where we enjoyed exploring the restaurants, shops, and walking by the lake. We will definitely return, especially once their new restaurant opens.

- Liz (6/5): - Pros: beautiful view of the lake, room was a nice size
Cons: the pillows were clumpy. Would expect nice down pillows for the price of this hotel, found a nail clipping on the bathroom counter after checking in, cigarette smoke came through the air vent both nights of our stay (we couldn’t open the balcony door as it smelled out there as well), checking out there was a TON of dirt and dust piled up on our brand new car in all the crevices that we now need to get our call detailed as it even got inside the car a bit due to them using leaf blowers inches away from our car and blowing debris directly into it ( they had our license plate so could have easily asked us to move our car)
- Dmitri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Albert (10/5): - A very nice place to stay.👍😁
- Allen (10/5): - The view of the lake was amazing. Easy to get to downtown Lake Geneva. Staff were attentive and polite. Great place to.stay.
- James (3/5): Hampton would have been better stay at lower cost - 1st floor facing parking lot circle. Restaurant closed.
Asked for higher floor was on 1st, parking lot looked empty so not sure why that could not be accommodated
- Brett (10/5): - Beautiful property! Staff was friendly and attentive. Offered wine upon arrival. My only dislike is bed was too high.
