Guest Reviews
- G864RSjennyc (10/5): A most welcoming, beautiful, clean location with services which really enriched our holiday and experience of Marrakech. - The location of the Riad was excellent, ability to access the square, museums and sites was good. The atmosphere upon arrival and always was very welcoming and calm. We really appreciated the welcome meet with review of everything on offer. The rooms and the actual Riad were beautifully decorated and the accommodations were comfortable. It was good value for the costs, since all the extra add-ons in the room (toiletries, water, fridge) and also the cleanliness made for a comfortable stay. We were never disturbed by noise, and the services were very good, especially in the restaurant, reception, and housekeeping. Nothing was a bother. Also to receive a complimentary bag with some toiletries and food for our journey to Essaouira was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated. We will definitely return and will recommend Riad Anika to others.
- CharlesLD123 (10/5): Super Riad in Marrakesh - Friendly, helpful and considerate staff. Comfortable rooms with excellent Morrocan decor.
Great breakfast and dinner.
Highly recommended.
- Y1079RAjohno (10/5): Clean & comfortable Riad with wonderful staff. - Just back from a wonderful stay at Riad Dar Anika.
Whole place is very clean and well maintained, our room was spacious and very comfortable. The Riad is a tranquil place, once you go through their majestic door you escape the hustle & bustle of the medina in to an oasis of tranquillity. The surrounding area is very noisy but once inside you don't notice any of it.
Location is excellent too, close to the main square and souk within the medina but also easily accessible from transport if getting dropped off or picked up for an excursion.
The staff are incredible, from the moment we arrived until the we left, we could not have been made to feel more welcome, every single member of staff had a smile on their face and always offering assistance. I would also point out we visited during Ramadan and even although we were not fasting the staff involved in the preparation and serving of food were wonderful.
Take advantage of the welcome briefing, it's not mandatory, its not a sales pitch but you will find out all sorts of useful information and recommendations from the staff.
Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to any friends or family visiting Marrakech.
- JuanA4754 (10/5): Great experience! - I had an incredible stay at Riad Dar Anika in Marrakech. The ambiance is clean, quiet, and cozy, perfectly reflecting the city's rich history. The location is impeccable, and the staff is both professional and friendly. A special shoutout to Fatima, one of the managers, whose attention to detail and quality recommendations truly enhanced my experience. Highly recommend!
- timwK8336US (10/5): Exceeded Expectations in Marrakesh - Our stay at Riad Dar Anika in Marrakesh truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made us feel completely at home and were always happy to help with anything we needed, including arranging easy transportation to and from the riad.
The traditional Moroccan breakfast each morning was a highlight — fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Our room was very comfortable, peaceful, and thoughtfully appointed, making it the perfect place to relax after exploring the city.
The location in the medina is excellent — close to everything yet tucked away enough to feel calm and private. It made getting around very easy while still enjoying an authentic Marrakesh experience.
We could not have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend Riad Dar Anika to anyone visiting Marrakesh. We would absolutely stay here again!
- aureliol344 (10/5): Excelent place to stay in Marrakesh. - For me it was the perfect place to stay. Just in the heart of Marrakesh, but didn't have to walk around with suitcases. The Riad it's perfectly located. Inside the Riad everything is calm and nice and the people at the Riad was very kind and helpful.
- Cruiser399317 (10/5): A stylish and very comfortable. place to stay - We loved our stay at Dar Anika, it¡'s a very elegant and stylish place with a beautiful lobby / pool area and a lovely lounge with a very welcoming fire in January. Everything was comfortable and stylish, the staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfasts were the best we had during our time I Morocco and hot tea and refreshments were available every afternoon. we would recommend Dar Anika to anyone.
- 117simonw (10/5): Great location. Tranquility in the city. Walking distance to all central locations. - Great location. Ayoub, in particular, was a gentleman who went the extra mile each evening to make us feel at home. Highly recommended.
- kayrD6196LW (10/5): Warm hospitality - The decor was stunning and the staff made guests feel genuinely welcome. Breakfast was generous and the location was convenient for sightseeing.
- Odyssey25879 (10/5): A truly wonderful piece of Marrakesh - This Riad is a fantastic place to stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Marrakesh. From the moment we stepped in to the time we left we felt most welcomed and at ease. Fatima a greeter and front desk person as well as Mohammed in the restaurant were absolutely fantastic people and they were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are splendid and the location close to many attractions.
- santiagogJ1488ZV (10/5): The best staff!! - This place is amazing and the vibes inside are everything. The staff works so hard to keep the experience in this place unparalleled and they make you feel at home. Its super relaxing and the smells (good) everywhere make you get a real taste of Morroco.
We departed very early and the staff even went above and beyond to give us a goodie bag with breakfast items. This is just a little bit of an example of the care they have for their guests. Excellent staff and super super safe.
- Traveler2504 (10/5): An excellent choice made exceptional by the staff - Charming small riad. Limited range of facilities but does have restaurant, lounge, pool and hammam on site. The welcome and hospitality were exceptional. They spent a hour sitting with us outlining the city, sights, recommended places and asking for our interests. Staff were entirely excellent from the front desk to the restaurant staff. They were more willing to help even on little tasks than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
Located 10 minutes walk south of the souks in the Medina area, so close enough. Nearer a main road than many so taxi is easy to use. Noise was never an issue, except of course you are in the middle of a bustling Muslim city so expect an early call to prayer and some street noise at times. Marrakech is not really a late night city. Most street restaurants close by 9.
There are 4 or 5 exceptional restaurants within walking distance, the hotel staff made good recommendations and were always happy to call for a table.
Breakfast was offered as a set menu with limited choices but they were so accommodating to us for individual requests. The restaurant was not busy at all. Free afternoon snacks available in the lounge. Tea and coffee was offered freely.
- johnh14627 (10/5): Great Riad, good service, great location - This was a beautiful building with lovely service.
We arrived, but waited a bit, but were then given a super useful tourist briefing whist we drank tea.
Breakfast was tasty and efficient. And the room a quiet luxury away from but close to the bustle.
- Sightseer19877482421 (10/5): Simply perfect, thanks for everything - Simply perfect.
Location top easy to find, and to reach, in the middle of the medina. Really close to many of the most popular attaction.
The staff was kind, prepered and helpfull from the begining of the stay till the very end.
Clean Rooms great breakfast.
Didn’t have the chance to try the hammam but we will next time.
Maybe the wi-fi might be slow in the rooms but not a big deal.
What else to say, they help us making great memories of our first trip to Marrakech, and if will be back it’s thanks to them too.
- ID576207 (10/5): Excellent base for Marrakech - This is a quiet location, but very accessible by car, which is good for drop offs and pick ups, far more so than many other riads in the medina. Bear this in mind, particularly if you have an early flight. It is easy to walk from here into the main part of the city, although the most straightforward route might not be suitable for the elderly, the disabled and small children, owing to narrow areas in the city walls, though which traffic flows. Also worth noting are two Barid Bank ATMs, within an easy walk - these are the ones which don't add additional charges for non-customers.
There was a very peaceful relaxed atmosphere, and the staff genuinely all appeared to enjoy working there. I found everybody friendly and helpful.
The room was very spacious, and was replenished with dates, biscuits and fruit every day, and importantly, with bottled water. In addition to the foods placed in the room, breakfast was excellent, with variations each day, and was one of the highlights. Staff got my breakfast ready early on my departure day, which was much appreciated. There are also complimentary afternoon snacks, which were also very tasty.
I felt the experience overall was very good value for money, no complaints whatsoever there. Very clean place, with a lot of pride taken.
Some minor street noise, but nothing serious. Airport transfers and the usual help with restaurants and guides etc are also available.
- dani_ls896 (10/5): Fantastic location and excellent hospitality - “Dar Anika has a really incredible location — right in the centre of the medina but completely peaceful once inside. The staff were exceptional and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, helping with transfers, bookings, and everything we needed. The riad itself is beautiful, authentic, and full of charm, and breakfast on the rooftop was one of our favourite parts of the stay. It’s the perfect combination of warmth, comfort, and Moroccan character.”
- MaryPorch (10/5): Perfect location for exploring Marrakesh - Highly recommended! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful and the location is brilliant for a first-time visitor to Marrakesh. It is easy to get a taxi or be dropped off just outside the Riad, you are a five minute walk in a straight line to the main square and several of the other key sites to visit are less than a five minute walk, including the Bahia Palace. The beds are comfortable and the rooms a perfect temperature. The traditional design of the building with inward facing rooms ensures quiet calm despite the bustling streets outside.
- J5924DIelenav (10/5): Your Perfect Home in Marrakech - We visited Dar Anika in October, traveling as a family (4 adults and 2 kids) and we had the best experience ever.
The riad is beautiful and perfect in any detail, offering the charm and authenticity of a traditional Moroccan home and a very warm atmosphere, paired with all the comforts you can wish for. The staff went above and beyond to help, assisting us with bookings and catering for kids, always with a smile!
The rooms are huge and clean, with delicious treats waiting for us every day. Location is also great, as it is within walking distance from the medina, the souk, the main square and just around the corner from the Bahia palace.
We really found it hard to leave, and cannot wait to be back soon.
- leahh563 (10/5): Authentic, luxurious, and perfectly located in the heart of Marrakech - A perfect riad in the heart of Marrakech – my favourite of all
Dar Anika is my absolute favourite riad I’ve stayed in. It’s small, elegant, and right in the centre of the Medina, truly the best location in Marrakech. You step outside and you’re surrounded by all the colour, sound, and life of the Medina, yet the moment you walk back through those beautiful old doors it feels like you’ve entered another world…calm, quiet, and full of charm.
It only has a few rooms, which makes it feel so personal and exclusive, almost as if the whole riad is yours. It’s very authentic yet luxurious at the same time, the perfect balance of tradition and comfort. The rooftop bar is wonderful, like stepping into a little French bistro. It’s perfect for afternoon Moroccan tea and dates or a relaxed drink in the sun or shade, with views over the lively Medina; chaotic, colourful, and fascinating to watch from above.
Breakfast is another highlight, with freshly squeezed orange juice, great coffee and a selection of warm pastries and crêpes. Everything feels homemade and generous. The staff are exceptional, welcoming and always happy to help with anything you need, from transfers to restaurant suggestions.
They also recommended visiting The Secret Garden, just a few minutes’ walk away in the centre of the Medina. It’s an absolute must — another little oasis and a magical find. I’m so glad we went.
Dar Anika has a warmth and intimacy that’s truly special. It captures everything that makes Marrakech magical, and I honestly can’t wait to return.
- yoshik720 (10/5): Convenient location and cozy for stay! - Very convenient location so you nevrr lose yourself.
warmful and helpful staff, was nice to have bath tub in our room and was running hot water well.
And breakfast was the best one during our trip, fresh fruitsalad, fresh bread and good quality of egg selection.
Cleaness is,
lets say that they can be better
I see hair in bathtub.
They should care little those kind of details.
AC was broken for change direction wind so it was bit annoying and cold but nothing big deal.
Highly recommended to stay here anyway!!!
- sariaha2023 (10/5): My beautiful visit to this gorgeous hotel - I stayed in this gorgeous riad in the medina of marrakech. The staff was incredible and extremely helpful and ready to help at all times. The food was just great! There were so many flavours and dishes to choose from. So safe to say i encourage and deeply recommend you try this hotel.
- Jaroslaw (10/5): - We had a great stay there. The staff is excellent. Everyone is so nice and accommodating.
- Travel18819818667 (6/5): OK, but I’d stay somewhere else next time - We really wanted to like this riad – it has some good points, but overall our stay was just OK.
The positives:
The location is great: close enough to walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa and explore the souks, but also near a main road where taxis can pick up and drop off easily. The staff were genuinely lovely – always available and very kind. I also appreciated the free bottled water in the room, and the welcome biscuits on arrival were a nice touch.
The negatives:
Unfortunately, there were quite a few small issues that added up. We stayed in Room 7, which is on the ground floor right next to the housekeeping area. Buckets and equipment were being moved around all day, so it was noisy if you wanted to rest during the afternoon. You could also hear toilets flushing, showers running, and things being dropped in the rooms above, as all the floors are tiled.
The fridge didn’t work, and after a noisy night listening to it hum, I ended up unplugging it. The safe wasn’t secured to the wall, which didn’t feel very reassuring.
The bathroom had almost no space for personal toiletries — even the soap and shower gel had to sit on the sink edge, meaning you had to reach out of the shower to grab them. The mats on the floor were quite grubby, and the room overall looked a bit tired and in need of some TLC.
There was no natural light since the only window opened onto the main reception area and had been blocked for privacy. The check-in process also took much longer than expected — we were given tea and a snack, which was nice, but after travelling we just wanted to get to our room.
Finally, the “rooftop pool” is actually just a small jacuzzi, and it was empty during our stay, even though it was high season.
Overall:
A decent location and lovely staff, but the noise, tired room, and a few practical issues meant the stay wasn’t as relaxing as I’d hoped. It’s an OK riad, but next time I’d stay somewhere else.
- 352salmat (10/5): Amazing stay - I had a wonderful time at Riad Dar Anika. The staff were super friendly and always made me feel welcome. The riad is beautiful, very clean, and full of authentic Moroccan charm. The location is perfect — just a few minutes’ walk from the main square and the souks, which made it easy to explore the city. I also loved the breakfast and the calm atmosphere inside the riad after busy days in Marrakech. I would definitely come back!
- Heidi (10/5): - Clean, comfortable rooms in a lovely setting.
- Naternaq (10/5): Restful nights in Marrakech - This riad has a traditional atmosphere both in its public spaces and its room. It is located at the beginning an alleyway lined with shops that leads to Jemaa-el-Fna Square and the web of streets and alleyways that make up the ancient shopping area of Marrakech. At the same time, the location is also on the edge of a more modern commercial area. The inside is a quiet retreat from the busy city. The rooms are clean; the service is attentive. The breakfast is traditionally Moroccan. The area iseveeral restaurants, including Mezal which is a good place for lunch. Make reservations early in your stay. Also try the in-house restaurant for dinner, we found the food to be very good. This restaurant doesn't service liquor, but you can have drinks at nearby Kosybar before dinner.
- simrans767 (10/5): Amazing riad experience - An amazing experience, staff were wonderful and the stay was 5/5 experience would definitely recommend to stay here!!
- Mallory (8/5): - Charming riad in a great location. Layout of the room we had was strange and too tight for two people. Daily breakfast was good and the pool on the main floor is a nice amenity.
- Karen sarur de la (10/5): - Amazing staff
- benjamin (6/5): - The common spaces are fabulous. Truly exceptional. The breakfast is excellent. We received a request from a hotel to dine at the hotel's restaurant for $60 a person for what looked like a very average meal that one could find elsewhere for half the price or less. Good thing we ignored it as the restaurant space is depressing and deserted at night. Our room was minuscule which I was aware of but the furnishings in the room looked like they were purchased at a swap meet, totally out of character with the furnishings in the common spaces.
- Mary (10/5): - Beautiful old world charm in a fantastic location. We felt like we were taken back into Marrakech of the nineteen forties. A unique and charming experience.
- Judith T (10/5): - One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s 300 years old and perfectly located in the old city. The pool is perfect after a day of touring. The experience was filled with so much charm and hospitality, I felt like I was in a film from 1940.
- 765kimberlya (10/5): Lovely, traditional hotel in the Medina. Very close to shops and good restaurants. Hospitality was first rate! - Can’t recommend this riad highly enough. Lovely, charming accommodations, conveniently located in the Medina near shops and great restaurants. Top notch hospitality. Great breakfasts and dinners in their terrace. Clean, comfortable rooms with traditional decor. Don’t be put off when you first come into the neighborhood. It looks a bit rough but is very safe. And once you enter the riad, it’s a warm, welcoming environment. The front desk will do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible and will assist with arranging your excursions.
- Alexey (10/5): Would book again in a heartbeat! - Excellent stay at this beautiful hotel. Fantastic location, clear rooms abd great breakfast. The staff was amazing and made my wife’s birthday into a very special celebration. I highly recommend this place!
- Mehran (10/5): - Nice guest house in the middle of the old town
- barbara (10/5): - Excelent service
- Kari (10/5): - The staff were extraordinary and it was well appointed. We were there and it was very hot and the air conditioning in the room worked but we wished it had been colder. That was about us and we have no complaints
- David (10/5): - Simply Excellent in every category. Highly recommned.
- lisasG6098KR (10/5): A Warm and Luxurious Stay at Riad Dar Anika - During our 12-day Morocco tour with Aisha Morocco Tours, we stayed at the charming Riad Dar Anika in Marrakech. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family — the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home.
The riad was full of character, with beautiful Moroccan décor, cozy rooms, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the city. Breakfast and meals were excellent, with fresh and delicious options every day. What impressed us most was the personal attention: small gestures of care that made us feel truly special.
Riad Dar Anika was more than just accommodation — it was an experience of Moroccan hospitality at its best. Highly recommended!
- Emily7458 (10/5): A beautiful sanctuary with modern comforts amid the hustle and bustle of the Medina - This hotel is a rare gem: a place where you can immerse yourself in the local culture and simultaneously enjoy modern amenities that make travel relaxing and easy. I particularly liked this hotel's location! It is a potent juxtaposition of a beautiful, authentic, private, secluded, comfortable & quiet respite, AND the vibrant, vivacious, ancient and beautifully chaotic Medina (walled city) life as you step over the threshold of it's ornate & secure entryway. I would return to Riad Dar Anika in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and authentic stay in Marrakech.
In addition to its stunning beauty, what also set this place apart was the intuitive, welcoming and genuine service of all the staff members. One of my favorite things was going up to the terrace every morning for breakfast ( which is included!) and being surprised by a delicious and ample spread of traditional Moroccan breakfast food, served along with the familiar breakfast of the western world. The hospitality and attentiveness of the staff at breakfast was one of our favorite experiences of our stay. A special thank you goes to Issam, Younesse, Ismail - thank you for the freshly squeezed orange juice each morning, the endless cups of min tea, cappucino, iced late or whatever coffee drink our hearts desired. Thank you to all the women in the kitchen who cooked the freshest food for us every morning: the savory soups, the spiced beans, the crepes, pancakes, eggs any style, omlettes, fresh yogurt with honey and lemons, a surprise of different fresh fruit each day, decadent dates, and pretty much anything our appetites desired- you truly spoiled us! Shukran!
I also loved thar Riad Dar Anika has four levels for guests to peruse and enjoy: the main level is stunning, luxurious with its open courtyard with a glass-enclosed and air-conditioned "family room,' and a relaxing and refreshing little pool- which is perfect for cooling off during scorching hot days of July in Marrakech! The guest rooms are on the 2nd level, outlined with charming views of the courtyard below and beautifully furnished for relaxation and taking in the beauty of this magnificent hotel. The 3rd level has the breakfast parlor, kitchen and other cozy areas to sit & relax, the 4th level is the rooftop terrace, which is a great place to welcome the morning, stretch, do yoga and take in a breathtaking 360 degree views of the Medina and to observe the hustle and bustle below, whilst enjoying the quiet and private atmosphere of Riad Dar Anika:) The terrace is also a great place to lay out and get some sun, to take an afternoon nap or to look at the city and the starts at night. We thoroughly enjoyed every nook & cranny of this hotel and really made the most of our stay there. We also very much enjoyed the massage services and the hammam service at the hotel, it was wonderful and convenient!
I would be remiss not to mention the front desk staff, particularly Marietta- the lady in charge of this fabulous establishment, "Mr. Magic:)(sorry i don't recall your Moroccan name ;) and every one who made sure we were safe, comfortable and happy every moment of our stay. After a week-long stay, it wasn't easy leaving a place of such beauty and comfort and all six of us truly wish we can go back there someday soon! I also wanted to mention that the rooms were nicely air conditioned, have great storage, including a safe, and the bathroom is updated for the the western traveler- it is quite spacious and comfortable. As a family of 6 , we rented 3 rooms, all next to each other and we all agree on how fantastic our stay was at Riad Dar Anika! I hope you will stay here when you visit Marrakech and enjoy it as much as we did!

- Vacation18550079291 (10/5): Amazing Riad! - I cannot say enough about the staff and hospitality at Dar Anika! The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious every morning. The Riad itself was stunning and very clean. The location was perfect with easy access to the Souks. It was also the little things from the welcome tea to the departure care bag that makes this Riad so special. I would 100% stay here again and recommend them to anyone going to Marrakech!

The service here was incredible and the staff and super friendly. The staff even ensured that we were given a fair price with taxi drivers and helped us to arrange quad biking, camel riding and an evening show. I would highly recommend the Dar Anika to anyone looking to stay in Marrakech.

- shadowlordc (8/5): Nice and clean looking - A lovely escape from the busy medina! The riad is charming, clean, and full of Moroccan character. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The rooftop terrace is perfect for relaxing. Highly recommend for a calm and authentic stay in Marrakech.
- Brian (10/5): Wonderful hosts in an elegant property. - Very welcoming hosts. Attentive service. Provided suggestions for areas to see and restaurants. The property is beautiful and well kept. Would certainly recommend this property and will return if we are in Marrakesh in future.
- crane237 (10/5): Perfect in Every Way - My friend and I stayed at Riad Dar Anika for two nights at the start of a weeklong trip across Morocco and it was, in many ways, our favorite hotel of the three we visited—super comfortable, convenient to everything, and affordable. Dar Anika provided an unsurpassed level of care and service, starting even before our arrival. Hind at reception promptly and professionally arranged our airport transfers, emailed helpful info about the airport (which is lovely, small, and newish), and communicated with us in transit. Upon arrival we were served tea and snacks, and Hind sat with us for as long as we needed giving (excellent) restaurant recommendations, suggestions for sightseeing, and other tips. Our rooms were comfortable, thoughtfully appointed, and very well air conditioned—in fact, they had the best AC we experienced in Morocco, which is saying something since the temperature did not drop lower than 103 on any day of our trip, and hit 112 in Marrakech. Breakfast was outstanding every day, and every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and kind. In Fez we splurged on a luxury 5-star French hotel, and while it was utterly gorgeous to look at and a wonderful experience, it really didn’t surpass Dar Anika on any level of service or cuisine. When we left the Riad for our next stop, a 3-hour drive away, we were gifted a care package of fruit and sandwiches to tide us over on our journey, and Hind texted me the following morning to make sure we’d arrived safely in Ouzoud. Do not miss this Riad.
- howah2025 (10/5): joseeeeef - My mom Our stay at Dar Anika was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled with such care and attention to detail. The riad is stunning, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere truly special. A very special thank you to Marietta, the wonderful manager, whose kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth made our experience unforgettable. We felt incredibly well taken care of. Highly recommended – we can’t wait to return!
- familiawitch (10/5): Excepcional experiencia in a beautiful boutique hotel - From the minutes we arrived at Riad Dar Anika we felt instantly at home.
The staff were amazing and could not have done enough for us.
The building is beautifully designed with great attention to detail.
We stayed in a delux room which is a beautiful calm space, we slept so well.
Breakfast was a voyage of discovery every morning but we loved it and were constantly surprised.
We would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Riad Dar Anika.
This gem is in an awsome locación everything is in walking distance.
With such excepcional hospitality you will not want to leave.
- Y9798AJsamuelb (10/5): an oasis in the city - A lovely place. The facilities are very well maintained, and the staff is very efficient in customer service, all very friendly. We'll be back soon! Thank you.
- Samir (10/5): - Great set up
- wassim (10/5): - Amazing service everyone is very nice and willing to help. Located in the middle of old Marrakesh where you find numerous shops and restaurants.
- Mark (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay in this boutique hotel. The location was exceptional and the premises top notch but it was the amazing staff that will bring us back. They were so attentive and so caring that you feel like you are staying at some seven star hotel. We loved our time here and we will be back.
- christiaan (10/5): - Staff was super friendly and helpful in every way!
- 191dayam (10/5): Above and Beyond Amazing! - I would give this place a 6 out of 5 if I could - in summary, it was our first trip to Marrakech/Morocco and they took care of us in every single aspect!
We opted to use their airport transfer service, and they were excellent in communicating with us beforehand to set this up. We used it both ways, and they were extremely timely and we had the same lovely driver both times. They welcomed us warmly with tea service even though it was late at night, and saved their explanation of the city for the next day. Mehdi and the other woman who works at the front desk (I don’t know her name!) were both EXCELLENT and happy to help us whenever. Even though we had done our own research prior to coming, Mehdi gave us a thorough walk through of quite literally everything we needed to know. They also always had afternoon tea and snacks and took such good care of us. Wonderful human beings!
The riad itself was also beautiful, well taken care of, and in an awesome location. It was right at the edge of the medina, just down one long street from Jemaa el-Fna square, but still accessible by car as it is again at the edge of the medina. It felt very lively and was an excellent place to even just hang out during the day. Breakfast was awesome every day, and they have a beautiful terrace with lounging chairs.
Overall, it was the perfect place to stay for our first trip here and when we come back, we will definitely be staying here again. For anyone who wants to try a riad and is unsure (versus a hotel) this is an excellent place to go. Very luxurious offering, and staff who gets to know you by name, and in fact reviewed everything else we booked to ensure they could offer the most help possible.
I cannot say enough about this place! Will be recommending to everyone I know :)
- Road39000111956 (10/5): Loved it! - AMAZING HOTEL AMAZING SERVICE COULDN’T RECOMMEND MORE!!! The staff go to the ends of the earth for their guests!!!! If you are visiting Morocco stay here! Great location, great rooms with AC! Would 100% stay here again, also airport pickup and drop off is a huge help!
- fpkroll (10/5): Great boutique hotel with amazing service - A great small boutique hotel, beautifully decorated, and extremely friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast is traditional and tasty, they are always at your service and can arrange everything like pick ups, transports, they give you the best shopping addresses. An amazing stay
- tichz2020 (10/5): Thank you all at the Riad Dar Anika, you are special! - We had a great stay at this lovely hotel that is conveniently located in the heart of Marrakech and provides a great base to all the main tourist attractions and restaurants. The rooms and facilities are eloquently decorated and kept spotlessly clean. The hospitality was special from the start where we were welcomed by the polite and charming Mehdi in reception and till the end where we were given a cute packed lunch to wish us farewell on our departure. The breakfast was also impressive, traditional and plentiful with attentive staff that couldn’t do more for you. If you’re looking for an authentic Riad experience with a truly personal touch then this is the place!
- SheilaM458 (10/5): One of the best experienced of our lives - Review of Riad Dar Anika – A Truly Exceptional Experience
Staying at Riad Dar Anika was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. The warmth and hospitality of the staff were beyond anything I’ve encountered before — they welcomed us like family, with genuine kindness and attention to every detail.
The breakfast was simply outstanding — a rich, beautifully presented selection that bordered on perfection. Every morning felt like a small celebration of flavors and care.
The facilities were excellent: clean, elegant, and full of authentic charm that made us feel immersed in the soul of Marrakech. The location of the Riad is also ideal — close enough to the heart of the city to explore easily, yet peaceful and serene inside.
A special thank you to the director, Marietta, for her exceptional leadership and her unique way of caring for each guest. Her presence and dedication truly elevate the experience — you can feel her heart in every detail of the Riad.
I wholeheartedly recommend Riad Dar Anika to anyone looking for a magical and deeply human stay in Marrakech.
- VodkaQueenNL (10/5): Amazingly luxurious! - We arrived in the afternoon for a 4 night stay. We were sat in the main area next to the pool and brought tea, biscuits and milk while our cases were taken to our room. We were welcomed warmly and shown all the good areas that we should visit or do for our stay.
The room itself was small, but very lovely. There is no window, which may not seem ideal, but given the high temperatures in Marrakech, this is actually a bonus and keeps the room cool. Bathroom was lovely, with toiletries provided in reusuable containers. There was also a small fridge, safe, bottles of water, fruit and biscuits.
Breakfast every day was amazing! I really looked forward to the breakfast every day. It really set us up for the day - we never ate lunch during our time in Marrakech as we were that full!
Each night, our room had a turn down service - I didn't know this was still a thing! Another small touch that made the hotel even more special.
We also indulged in a hammam session and a massage afterwards - highly recommended!
All the staff work really hard to provide an unforgettable experience and we really didn't want to leave. We had about 20 minutes before we had to go to the airport and the staff insisted on serving tea and briouat before we left which was delicious.
This was our first time to Morocco, and I am sure we will be back again and for sure, in this hotel!
- Joy Pine (10/5): - Such a beautiful riad that is conveniently located to everything! The staff were all wonderful and the riad was gorgeous. Will stay again!
- 638matthewg (10/5): Great visit in Marrakesh. - Amazing visit. Very warm and welcoming staff. Trusting, knowledgeable, helpful, caring, great food, great location, etc. I would definitely come back to visit and would highly recommend the stay there. The massage was perfect. The tour guy was very helpful.
- Olga (10/5): - Very relaxiing and good location
- Sotirios (10/5): - Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating
- Edgar Allan (10/5): - Everything about the property is great. Firstly, the personnel is top notch. From Megi, Ayob, Yusuf, Moha, Mohammed , Mustafa and the other guys/ladies that we didn’t personally talk to but was still very helpful with our needs. Riad is well kept and tidy. Location is most accessible.Thank you for making our stay unforgettable.
- Alfonso (10/5): - Everything was excellent but I was not aware of any specific preferential treatment or having vip privileges
- Samira (10/5): - great staff and service. everything was great. only issue was hot water did not last long enough for shower. but nonetheless would highly recommend this hotel!
- TimB929 (10/5): Last night in Morocco - Traditional Moroccan Riad. The hospitality was top rate and we had a fabulous last evening in Marrakech.
Our room had an authentic feel to it and was clean.
The breakfast was a great way to start the day.
The staff provided guidance to all our transportation needs.
- TKrobath (10/5): Blown away with the service - Absolutely amazing. The service, the room, breakfast, the treats…WOW. What an experience.
We booked this at the very last minute based on, probably other reviews. The Riad Dar Anika did not disappoint. We had never need to Marrakech or Morocco so had zero idea as to what to expect.
If I ever come back, I’d definitely stay here again.
- Martin (10/5): - Great experience overall !
- ANGELOS (8/5): - Excellent service
- Suzan (8/5): - Excellent location. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our room had a smell- but we were moved to another room with no problem. Great stay.
- jackieherdman1 (8/5): Beautiful Riad, 3 nights would of been enough for us. - Beautiful Riad. We stayed 5 nights but probably 3 nights in a Riad would have been long enough for us. The rooms are very dimly lit which adds to the atmosphere and the are no TVs so we spent very little time in our suite and at £250 a night was very expensive. There is a small terrace with sun beds on top of the Riad. The small indoor pool is more for atmosphere? We had some issues with the hot water on a couple of occasions, I think it runs out. The staff were friendly, if a little slow although reception were very good and helpful especially Medi who arranged a great trip to the Atlas Mountains for us and recommended excellent places to eat.
- catherinebS3369XL (10/5): An Oasis of peace, kindness and impeccable service - My first trip to Maroc, Marrakech. From the moment I arrived Younis and Ahmed welcomed me as if welcoming their own mother. I felt very safe and looked after by all the staff. The ‘the Three Graces’, (they know who they are) at the reception desk, were constantly helpful in answering all my questions. And I had many. The staff in the restaurant, Moustaffa and his companions were so attentive, always smiling and eager to make sure I had plenty to eat. Then ‘my Angel’ Mohammed accompanied me to the Bank and the tour bus despite me being late! All the staff worked so hard to keep the hotel spotlessly clean, my room and bed were so comfortable, and the fresh snacks each day were delicious. The staff moved about so quietly and silently whether in the restaurant, or in the corridors, this produced a wonderful sense of calm and peace. Mr Antonio went above and beyond taking time with me to give me some of the history of Maroc. It gave me a wonderful understanding of the people, which was further enhanced by the staff and meeting people as I visited different places. As I was leaving a fourth ‘Grace’ appeared with a gift for the journey, what a lovely surprise. But I have to apologise as I forgot a framed picture I had of my husband and the reception called the driver and we went back to get it. I don’t know if there are many hotels who would take the trouble. A wonderful Team.
Soukran, AllahEftdik🙏 Beannach, God Bless you all. Que le Bon Dieu et Bon
- Tiara (10/5): - From start to finish the staff was incredible! The complimentary 4 course daily breakfast was delicious. And the complimentary tea or coffee around the clock was excellent as well. The property has a great location next to the souks. This experience was 10/10. Highly recommend
- Diana Helen (10/5): - The staff were excellent. They went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible
- Benjamin (10/5): Can’t Miss!! - Fabulous in every regard!! Excellent stay and dining experience. They also

- R1057WXsusanf (10/5): Beautiful Riad, Excellent Service, Fantastic Location - My wife and I were thrilled with our 3 night stay at Dar Anika! The hospitality and service were outstanding starting with the welcome tea and Marrakech orientation by the concierge. The traditional Moroccan breakfast served each morning was delicious and so good that we even decided to have a traditional dinner at the Riad one night. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. The entire staff worked together to provide us with a 5 star experience! Thank you!
- Ian (10/5): Amazing little gem - The most amazing hotel, everything was perfect.lovely rooms and fantastic breakfast.
The staff are the best, friendliest and most helpful I have encountered in many years of travel.
We are sorry to be leaving and will return
- Andrew (10/5): - The property was well located but just outside the hustle and bustle of the main shopping area. The Rijad was very well kept and the service was excellent and they couldn’t do enough for us. The Free Hammam was a good benefit and having not had one before would highly recommend having a go.
- Gillian (10/5): - Hidden away behind an impressive door is the calm oasis of Riad Dar Anika. We were made so welcome. The furnishing authentic and it really felt like you were staying in a grand person's home. Lovely touches like an evening snack and a bottle to warm the sheets just added to out seance if being well taken care of. Location is great for visiting
the main attractions of Marrakesh and we would highly recommend this lovely Riad.
- Lydia (10/5): - As a single woman traveling to Marrakech on business, I needed a location with good access both to the old city and to roads. 24 hour front desk service really helps with security. One taxi driver, concerned when he saw me I walking in the opposite direction of the Riad dar Anika when he dropped me off, called the reception to let them know. I was only going for a walk in the medina, but it was nice they looked after me. My room had its own private terrace, lit with candles and decorated with beautiful flowers when I arrived at night. The room was clean, the water was hot, the bed was comfortable, the location excellent and the price more than reasonable. I did not have much time for sightseeing, but whenever I had a spare hour, there was plenty to see nearby. While I did not dine in the restaurant and had only the most basic breakfast, I appreciated the freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade yogurt, and local pastries. I booked airport transfer with the riad, and they surprised me with a packed snack for the plane. Many thanks for a lovely visit.
- Afrin Hasnain (10/5): - Had a great experience. It was close to the market and every thing around where i had to go was a walking distance
- Michele (10/5): - The staff at Riad Dar Anika were excellent. Attention to detail was exceptional! Hot water our bed when returned from our evening meal to a welcoming drink and snacks after. long day walking through the Souks. Even a lunch bag provided on checking out for our journey to Agair. We loved everything about our stay. A real hidden gem and haven in the madness of Marrakesh. Would definitely return. Thank you. 💕💕💕
- Edmund (10/5): Great service - Our stay at Riad Dar Anika was fantastic. The staff were very thoughtful and attentive. The riad is conveniently located for all the sites and is not far from the main road making it convenient for taxi access too.
The building is beautiful and well looked after. The room was small but had everything we needed. The riad is quiet and peaceful and we slept very well.
Breakfast was very good and on the day we left they packed us a lunch for our long car journey.
- Saud (10/5): - Clean place and the staff members are very friendly.
- Richard (10/5): - The staff were super attentive and helpful. They even gave us a snack to take with us for our train trip.
