Guest Reviews
- Alain (10/5): - Les bungalows - le personnel - la nourriture -
- Samuel (8/5): Lovely staff, delicious food and authentic tour! - Very well kept property, extremely friendly staff. Strongly recommend the tour as we feel we really had an authentic view of the Mekong people. Food was very delicious, they were very accommodating when I was unwell. To be expected given rustic nature of stay but the toilet for the bungalow is outside of the room and there are lots of mosquitos. But mosquitos are to be expected when you come to the Mekong (they do provide mosquito net and coils!).
- Molly (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the peace and quiet of this beautiful home stay. The staff was wonderful and the meals they provided were great. We did a bike tour and boat ride and exploring with host Nih and it was the highlight of our trip. We loved taking the bikes for free use and biking the island to explore on our own as well. We will be back and highly recommend this place.
- Zeljko (8/5): Very good -
- Themindfultripper (10/5): Amazing property and wonderful hosts - Loved the rustic vibe of the homestay. The food was fresh and delicious. The homestay members were extremely helpful and accommodating, all the while ensuring that we were having a good time. They were so thoughtful to pack us a hearty breakfast with fresh mangoes right from their garden because we had to checkout quite early.
The tour arranged by them to experience the local market, handicrafts, and fruit garden was truly a pleasure. Sau who was our local guide is a wonderful woman.
Nhi and Nhan were wonderful hosts who helped us navigate through the unknowns and were always just a chat away for any help requested.
I would highly recommend staying in this homestay and experiencing the local scenes in a cycle.
- Gregor (9/5): Warm, friendly and helpful! - We had a very warm welcome at the homestay. Dinner and breakfast are prepared on our wishes but this might depend on the booked tour (we went to the market and asked about some fruits which were part of the dinner later).
The staying was very good, the family made everything possible and gave us coco nuts for our way back to HCMC.
We also booked a 2 days tour with Nhi. She is a wonderful guide and brought us to a several places (fruit garden, jack fruit cake bakery, fishing with us, market...), she also helped with transfers a lot!
Overall a pleasant stay of 3 nights and highly to recommend! Nothing serious just some remarks: Check the pay options as credit cards must be charged with taxes. The area is nice but you should really book a tour to see everything. On your own it will be hard.
- Jed (10/5): Our favorite stop in all of Vietnam - This was the best accommodation we’ve had, hands down. The food was EXCEPTIONAL, the garden beautiful & peaceful and our hosts were warm and welcoming.
Our river tour with Nhi was an absolute highlight - we saw and experienced so much.
Yes it’s rustic and doesn’t have all of the comforts of a city hotel, but that’s the point!
It was the only time we felt that we truly got away from the tourist traps and experienced the real Vietnam. Nothing at all
- Anthony (10/5): A hidden gem near the Mekong River - To start the property was a gem of a place, it was truly a rustic yet sophisticated homestay. Beautifully decorated for Tet and surrounded by trees and gardens, it was a really relaxing and comfortable place to unwind. We had stayed in a bungalow, which had everything you needed, mosquito net, aircon, comfortable beds, and a very rustic and cool bathroom/shower area. The bungalow came with a small porch out front, which was nice to hang out and have a drink, either in the morning or evening. The staff was really attentive and exceeded our expectations, and the host was welcoming with a great personality. She helped organize a tour for us that ended up being a highlight of the trip. Ask for Nhan Dinh, one of the best tour guides I've had in a while, really attentive and spoke really good English. Was eager to answer a million questions we had, and was just a great guy to spend the day with, he felt more like a friend than a tour guide. The homestay was also a short bike ride to the end of the island where you can watch an amazing sunset, make sure to bring a headlamp for the ride back! We managed to ride our bikes back, but some areas were really dark, had to use our phone's flashlight. This was our first time exploring the Mekong River area and the homestay really provided an exceptional experience. Can't think of anything...
- Franco (10/5): beautiful relaxing stay in mekong nature - Wonderful rustical lodges in a beautiful garden, perfect to relax and enjoy the nature.
Friendly people, and a super tour guide.
