• THOMAS (10/5): - very helpful staff. I had read that rooms were a little tired but our ground floor suite was really nice. nothing really.
• Vicki (3/5): Not good enough for me - Good view from breakfast room Shower was good. Spa was good. Room doors don't lock automatically when you shut them, and the hotel staff don't tell guests. Many hadn't realised when I spoke to them. We arrives 4 hours before room was meant to be ready. I spoke to reception 20 minutes after it was meant to be available but kept getting told it would be another 20 minutes. In contrast, room needed to be vacated 3 hours before my taxi. Though I could stay in reception (it was raining heavily) there was no water provided. Room balconies are decorative only, there's not enough depth to allow you to sit on them to enjoy the view, and the carpet around the window is pockmarked with cigarette burns. The light switches are difficult to use, especially in the dark.
• Martin (8/5): Good hotel in a central location - The hotel is in a great location on the marina and a 10 minute walk into the centre of town. Although there is no access to a beach, with nice grounds and a good pool for swimming, it is an ideal place to stay for couples or a family. The hotel was clean everywhere and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast room on the roof had nice views and there was a good choice for breakfast. Although comfortable our only slight criticism would be that the room itself was slightly dated and could do with being refurbished; however we would stay here again.
• Lesley (10/5): Our stay was lovely and peaceful and the views are beautiful. - The breakfast was excellent, the location was very convenient and local to all areas. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness was to a great standard. The decor needs updating. There were broken things in the room like the lamp shade and picture. The painting was very flakey and there were some cracked tiles in the bathroom. There were stains on the carpet and furniture. Just needs updating however, the cleaning was excellent.

• Julie (9/5): Ece Saray mini break - The hotel is in a fabulous location, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highlights were the pool and the breakfast on the terrace with an amazing view. The rooms had a fabulous view too. We thought the rooms were a bit tired looking for the price, we had cigarette burns on our carpet and on the furniture which was disappointing. A stricter no smoking policy might avoid this. If the rooms had a facelift, it would be the perfect 10

• Julia (8/5): We enjoyed our time very much but by the end of the week were glad to leave the tired room - Breakfast was fresh and delicious with the very best view of the marina, the serving staff were delightful. Hotel location an views are superb, facing the sea and is quiet and peaceful. Bathroom was tired and paint work and tile grouting was grubby. The carpet in the room felt old and dirty.

• Suzanne (9/5): Fabulous stay as always. - We love the location right on the side of the marina and have been returning for the past 12 years. The views from the French balcony is amazing with the marina, bay and the surrounding mountains right in front. The pool area is fantastic with comfortable and plentiful loungers with or without shade. The staff are courteous and respectful from every area of the hotel; breakfast restaurant, house keeping, bars and pool. They are a credit to the hotel! There is plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet alongside the cooked option. The rooms are a little dated now with the stains on the carpets.

• Andrew (6/5): Good and bad - The hotel is in a good location with great views of the marina. Staff at the pool, bar and breakfast are friendly and professional, as is the housekeeping team who keep the rooms very clean. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the reception staff. Our reservation was confirmed by Hotels.com and prepaid, however on arrival we were told there was no record of the booking and they could not help us further. They said the problem was with Hotels.com and not the hotel itself. The second problem came in trying to speak to someone at Hotels.com. No telephone numbers we could find for support in the UK or elsewhere worked and we could not get through to an actual person to talk to. Eventually we found a chat option that wasn't automated and the chat agent contacted the hotel on our behalf to retrieve our booking. The hotel staff finally conceded they had the booking but under "Hotelbeds" rather than Hotels.com. They had already seen our passports by this time and the names on their "Hotelbeds" booking were exactly the same as ours on the Hotels.com booking. They refused to accept their error and said our booking confirmation was worthless as they search reservations by travel agent and not by customer name.Two hours were wasted at considerable expense to us trying to connect to various Hotels.com support lines using our own mobiles. The hotel handled this very badly and Hotels.com need to have easier ways for customers to reach them when there is a problem.

Delicious freshly cooked breakfast provided in restaurant on top floor terrace with wonderful view over the marina. Particularly like the swimming pool with the helpful attendant who laid out our towels on the sun loungers and served drinks. We have stayed at Ece Saray many times and plan to return.

• Nigel (10/5): Excellent hotel - The room was lovely, it had everything you needed. The views over the harbour and mountains from the room were amazing. The breakfast is good, great variety and lots of it. You have to point at what you want and the staff put it on your plate. I personally see this as a good thing. You know the food has not been poked through before. Without a doubt, it is the best hotel we have stayed at in Fethiye, and we have stayed at quite a few. There really was nothing to complain about.

• Doreen (9/5): Most of our days we relaxed at the pool and we had a few massages as well. The ladies at the Spa are doing a great job. - Although the hotel is a bit old it is still a lovely place. We spent most of our days at the swimming pool and the staff there really looked after us very well. Our room had a wonderful view and we had the most relaxing holiday ever! The smell in the room was not so good, something to do with the drainage perhaps. The rest was fantastic!

A luxury hotel such as you aspire to be should have smart staff with a good command of English and a determination to meet customer needs. The workers all have this but desk staff are not so helpful.

• Shafag (10/5): Exceptional - I am very happy that I choose this hotel which offered exceptional view from the balcony. Hotel staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious at a reasanable price. Hotel location was just perfect - few minutes walk to the city center. I loved to walk along the port. I loved view to the port in the morning, afternoon, evening and late evening times. I strongly recommend this hotel. If I happen to travel to Fethiye again, I will choose this hotel without doubt.
• Loraine (9/5): Idyllic setting - The hotel looks so pretty. The Mariner that it is part of is stunning. Swimming pool is lovely and the Pool man is so attentive to everyone Breakfast on the roof top terrace is definitely the loveliest setting. Drinks were expensive. Mini bar in the room was also expensive. For this reason, I chose to walk out, but would of happily stayed on site, had the prices been more affordable.
• Mike (8/5): Lovely but flawed - Location - simply wonderful, with room directly overlooking a stunning bay - wonderful. Just a 5 minute walk into the (very quiet) centre - which was very disappointing! Staff - super friendly, very helpful throughout. Room - good enough, with the usual lack of English-speaking channels, apart from BBC News. Minibar good. Pool - beautiful, with lovely bar. Only one thing - the breakfast situation is simply strange and just not acceptable for a hotel of this standard. Only a selection of cold meats, fruit and bread, with an omelette possible upon request. NO BACON, SAUSAGES, HASH BROWN, MUSHROOMS OR PASTRIES! I had to go into town for something to eat every day! And it is all served behind a plastic screen, straight from Covid 19 days! The room is beautiful but this fact alone will make me go elsewhere next time. Wi-fi also bad, needing to connect 'from scratch' every time you came back to the hotel.

If I had to really try to find areas of improvement, it would be to have USB charger ports on the desk or wall sockets but it really is nit picking. The hotel and location force you to relax and switch off. Breakfast was excellent and staff incredibly friendly. Most things are a few mins walk away. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

• Margaret (10/5): Fabulous 4th visit and will see you next year! - It’s our 4th visit and we will always return because it has large suite rooms overlooking the marina, it’s nice and quiet. The staff are wonderful especially the breakfast manager and Harun. The breakfast is excellent, as it has been every time we’ve been. Nothing although the rooms are starting to look a little tired around the edges - nothing a spot of paint and new carpet can’t fix!

• George (2/5): A huge disappointment - The swimming pool area and staff in that area were excellent Where do I start. When we arrived the man on reception looked like he should be working in the garden. He gave us no welcome greeting at all. Then mumbled that although we had booked a double bed ( we are a gay married couple) he was giving us a bed with two single beds. We went to the room (301 ) which looked shabby. The balcony doors did not close properly and there were dirty hand marks all over the door frame where someone had obviously tried to mend it. We asked for the door to be mended on 3 occasions but absolutely nothing happened. It turns out that room 301 is directly below the breakfast terrace and from 6.30 am each morning we were awakened by staff moving chairs and tables incessantly. Then there is the buffet breakfast which is bizarrely still all behind a plastic screen so you have to ask staff members for everything. Not surprisingly our check was also the unfriendliest and least courteous I have ever received. It was another guy with absolutely no social skills. All he said was, anything from the mini bar and that was it. No asking if we had a good stay or even a goodbye. Nothing at all. These two receptionist who checked us in and out should not be working face to face with the public. Interestingly two friend came to take us to the airport. They had stayed there five years ago. They said that the whole atmosphere had changed. Oh and the room carpets, decor, bathroom look filthy because they are in desperate need of refurbishment

Lovely staff. - This hotel provides the most amazing breakfast, the staff could not be more accommodating or helpful. The pool is kept so clean and the pool man is really lovely, could not praise him more. He really takes pride in his work and looks after guests to a very high standard.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is on the upper terrace and there was a good choice of food and drink. The pool included a jacuzzi and is a good size and well maintained. The room was a bit tired and in need of decoration and the A/C was a bit noisy.

• Thomas (8/5): - The property is in a fantastic location for the old town and is very quiet and relaxed. They have one of the best swimming pools, which is why I booked it. The hotel is dated and not the cleanest, so you're paying high-end prices but don't expect such quality of accommodation

• Verified traveler (8/5): Its a short break hotel .. - We loved the hotel and the staff are the best in Turkiye.the breakfast needs oh so fixing ASAP..its still the covid way ,,,,, the staff cant hear the choice and its very annoying repeatedly asking .also we cant understand why there is no soul at the breakfast. It was a Doctor surgery atmosphere..but we still love the slightly dated hotel .
