They came right over to try to fix it, but couldn't. Couldn't get LR tv to work at all, but was able to watch smart TV in bedroom after he adjusted input settings.

• James (8/5): Good value if you can handle "spartan" appointments. Clean and well kept. - Room was very clean and well maintained. Appointments were basic, but very functional. For the cost, as a "last minute" solution, it was very good. Again, for the cost, not much more should be expected. This property was likely built in the 1960's as a motel and has held it's "old school" charm in that regard. The guests (we saw) were kind and the area was ok, even at night.

We went to get shampoo and the office said they didn’t have any and to come back, we went bak after maybe an hour and it was locked. All the lights were on. The workers seemed high on something and when we wanted to change rooms we couldn’t because no one would answer the phone or unlock the door so we could talk to someone in the office. Horrible stay. 0/10 stars for sure. Nasty place

• Stacey (10/5): I had a great stay at the Regency Inn & Suites in Sarasota - The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed for a relaxing visit. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to the Sarasota airport, local restaurants, shops, and the beautiful Sarasota beaches. It made getting around the area simple and stress-free. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I checked in, and they were always helpful whenever I had a question. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay. I appreciate the hospitality and would definitely consider staying here again the next time I’m in Sarasota. There was nothing I would change about my stay; they only missed cleaning my room one day, but it was resolved quickly.

• David T (2/5): Almost like camping out. Not comfortable. - It was clean inside. I thought I was staying in an up to date nice place but this place was a tired worn out many decades old roadhouse. TV did not work and remote fell apart. Had to get a repairman in late at night. This was the same cost as the Holiday Inn without the modern experience. Disappointing.

Jon Baugh, the manager, has always treated me with the utmost respect and dignity which I appreciate very much.

• Alison (5/5): Ok, but wouldn't stay again - The style of room. I liked that it had a kitchen/living room and separate bedroom. On opening the door we were immediately hit in the face by an overwhelming smell of disinfectant that had been used to clean the floor, although it should have been used to clean the light switches and doors which were very dirty and full of grubby finger prints. The kitchen tap was broken and just hanging in place, there were holes in the wall, missing light bulbs and it was a bit scruffy looking and not well decorated.

I was said...this room is taken. Excuse me? She says oh! I was just given this room im so sorry. Then she walks out and im thinking...ok. hope you get things fixed. I havent even been checked into the room for 30 minutes at this point. Then i hear banging at my door. "You need to check out. This room is already to be used" What? "Come out maam." I opened the door a crack and I said i am not dressed. I just got here. What is needed? And he says. "Get dressed maam come out." I got clothed and went to the door opened it and asked... what is the problem? You just gave me this room. I have already paid. What is wrong? And he is the same that helped check me in. He says...today? For 2 nights? I said. No for one night. "Oh sorry sorry. It is fixed" and he leaves. Later i asked for a late check out and was told No. They dont care of the inconvenience of having had me scared that someone else was able to get the key and check in for the same room. Rhey also didnt care about rhe inconvenience of wasting my first hour of relaxation. Not good business. Make sure to take your own towel to the pool or you can buybone for ten bucks at the office 😆 What i did like... spaciousness of the suite. Almost cleanliness... someones tissue was still under the side table.

• Rebecca (2/5): Won't be back! - I knew this was an older, more quaint hotel so I was prepared for it to be a little run down, have a certain smell, etc. The room was clean-ish. The smell of overpowering cleaning supplies told me they were trying to cover up the old smoke smell that lives in the hotel. We had a lizard and mosquitoes in our room, ok - not too big of a deal, we're in FL. Our air conditioner quit working. I called the front desk and after Bill looked at it for 30 minutes he tried to mansplain that it was cutting off because the table was in the way...eyeroll. He offered us another room. Once we got into that room the smell from the people smoking outside was coming in. Once again, I called the front desk and told him we could no longer stay and needed a refund. At midnight, and after dealing with the AC issues for an hour, Bill told me I was being "ridiculous." Look, I get things happen that are out of your control, but not having AC in FL is not being "ridiculous." Bill, you really should find another job if you think people being able to sleep in a smoke-free and cool environment is being "ridiculous."

• Enery (1/5): Un fin de semana de halloween “ - Nada todo sucio con tela de arañas en las pantallas de las lámparas de noche eso es peligroso para dormir bien los rosa pies sucios y supuestamente era un suite habitabitacion nada confortable es una pena las cortinas en mal estado no se podían abrir ni cerrar pelos en el sofá ajenos a uno terrible No me gustó nada pobres las toallas solo dos malamente y gastadas los roda pies sucios ,lámparas con tela de arañas y polvo viejo de no limpiarlas nunca las cortinas en malas condiciones sucias y no rotas nada confortable pelos en el sofá sobrecama con hueco de quemadura de cigarro humedad destilando del aire acondicionado terrible todo el área regular un mal aspecto en los alrededores y los huéspedes son personas que viven ahí prácticamente no son turistas por eso las malas condiciones

The king bed was nice in appearance and comfortable. Housekeeping is not daily, and upon request only. I would stay here again if visiting the area in the future.

But the beds were good, and the shower was nice (the bathroom was small, but adequate). There was also Wi-Fi that worked well. I found it very good for the price, perfect for spending a night and resting before hitting the road.

I don’t know if he’s the owner or if he just works there but he was very rude over the phone the day before check in when I had a question and the same man was rude again the next day when we arrived.

• Summer (8/5): I had a quick, relaxing getaway. Thank you! - I liked the close proximity to the airport and Lido Beach. The room was large and very clean. The staff was super nice and helpful. As a single woman, I did not feel very safe, but I would come again if I was traveling with someone. I did not like the stained bed covers; it would make a world of difference if those were replaced!

The old man the works the front desk is a little grumpy. The room only comes with 2 towels. We always bring extra from home. We also cook breakfast in the room which is nice. Motel is nothing new or fancy but nice for the price
