Guest Reviews
- Juan (10/5): - Very unique boutique hotel. Like your in an antique museum. Super clean!! Spotless!! Excellent front desk.
- Maria E (10/5): Best place to stay in Tapachula - It was amazingly wonderful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Tranquilidad y buen servicio.
Ubicación muy buena del centro. Y parqueo accesible
- Bruno (10/5): - it is an hotel, of course, but also a art gallery, a home! Fantastic place, I love it.
- Miguel (8/5): - Some rooms have mold and is very noisy at the mornings and nights. They let children play at pool way beyond 9:00 PM.
- Mildred (6/5): Ok - It looked great but I was disappointed because my brother and his wife went there for their honey moon and I asked to prepare the room for the occasion and that didn't happen. I even called the hotel personally and they told me they would try do something to the room but didint happen either.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Tapachula de compras - Buena experiencia. Amabilidad del personal.
- Julian (8/5): - Different, well located and fantastic staff. For this guys it is all about service.
- Peter (10/5): Wonderful place - The hotel is full of Mexican folk art making it much more than a simple place to stay. The small garden in the interior courtyard is lush and green, with many of the local indigenous orchids. The food in the restaurant was great; I recommend the pescado veracruzano and the chicken mole. Service was a little slow at times, but no more so than any restaurant I visited in Chiapas.
- Ma.
- carlos (6/5): PERSONAL DESCUIDADO - ME PASO QUE RESERVE A TRAVES DE EXPEDIA Y EL DIA QUE LLEGUE A REALIZAR EL CHECK IN NO APARECIA NINGUNA HBAITACION A MI NOMBRE,
- Verified traveler (6/5): Secluded gem - Enjoyed the restaurant and bar. Air conditioning was appreciated. Owner stopped by and chatted. We learned that he lived in Bradenton for awhile.
- Raul Alberto (10/5): - Muy buena atención
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was wonderful and very relaxing! The place itself is very quiet and the pool is beautiful
- john (10/5): - amazing staff and fantastic owner.
- Verified traveler (8/5): One night in Tapachula - We stayed there for a night to catch the bus to Guatemala City in the morning. The hotel was nice and the restaurant is also good. More I can‘t tell because of the short time we spent there.
- Jose (8/5): Close to downtwon - Excellent Staff, small but really cozy. Decoration with antiques is an excellent idea.
- Albert (10/5): Wonderful stay, a quiet oasis in the city - We were in Tapachula for a wedding and spent a wonderful week here. Quiet, comfortable rooms and the pool area is lovely and comfortable for siesta. The owner and his staff were knowledgeable, helpful, conversant in English, even loaned us tour books and guides. It's about a 4-5 block walk to the square or the cathedral, we felt comfortable doing that.
The restaurant is excellent and breakfast is included. We loved the decor, every time we walked by we noticed something different. Rooms and hotel were very clean and comfortable.
Our single room "Ofelia" downstairs, just off the restaurant had a large bathroom and plenty of space. A little street noise through the bathroom window but was no problem when the bathroom door was closed. Air conditioner worked very well and the room was very comfortable during the heat of the day. Some friends were in "Frida Kahlo" upstairs, bathroom was a bit smaller but it was more quiet.
Great value, we will stay here again when we visit family in Tapachula.
- Mark (10/5): Great restaurant - Very quiet hotel just 2 blocks from Central Park. Excellent food at a good price. Would definitely stay here again.
- JUAN (10/5): - Excelente estancia
- TETZE (8/5): NICE HOTEL - IT WAS A NICE HOTEL VERY CLOSE FROM DOWNTOWN
FOOD WAS GREAT. I LOVE THE DECORATION IN THE ROOMS
- Luis (4/5): Not a family hotel, just a regular place to sleep - Nothing to eat on Sunday after lunch, no parking space, staff rude and hidden charges, I will never go back to this hotel
- Andrea! (8/5): Nice and cozy hotel with a great location. - it is my second time in the hotel and everything was great, the food is amazing and the service as well. the Only inconvinient that i foun was that the air conditioner of my room was not working so they chage us to another room.
- Pablo (6/5): Hotel centrico. - Pequeño, comodo y agradable. Ambiente familiar y seguro.
- steve (10/5): great option for a night in Tapachula - funky place, but clean and with a great restaurant
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gorgeous gem of a property. - Gorgeous gem of a property. Small, boutique colonial place with lush garden courtyard, pool, and -- perhaps the best part -- each of the 10 rooms is dedicated/decorated to honor a famous Mexican woman (Freida Kahlo, Josefa, Maria Bonita, etc.). Owner speaks great English, drops by breakfast (included and hearty) to chat, etc.
Restaurant has good food, variety, and bar has tequilas, Spanish wines, etc.
Located about two blocks from the town square, so very easy to reach.
I would definitely stay here again!
Desayuno rico, wifi perfecto.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful boutique hotel with excellent food - We stopped in this funny little town on our drive to Guatemala. Finding this hotel was truly like finding a diamond in the rough. The staff the food the room this place is really just super cool. Outside the hotel not so nice it's just a standard southern Mexican town but this hotel is something special. If for whatever reason you're going through Tapachula and you need to stay the night somewhere I highly recommend this hotel.
- Silvia (10/5): Beautiful hotel close to central park - The hotel is beautiful, full with antiques. It is small and that's an advantage because it is quiet. The restaurant's food is delicious, especially the melted cheese. If you need a parking space, it can be provided with no trouble.
- Elisabeth (10/5): Hidden treasure. - What an fantastic place.the family home is at on with ten bedrooms. The rooms all are decorated with historic photos and are named after famous Mexican women.the atmosphere in the hotel is fantastic. The inner garden with swimmingpool. The restaurant is well set up. The meals we had were of high quality, very tasteful...
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great staff! - They provide fresh seasonal coffee from the surrounding area. The staff was friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fun for a visa run. - The hotel is decorated like a museum but the room could have been cleaner.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hotel. They have a program to ensure a good sleep and it really works!!! this city is to hot and the air condition in the room it is absolutely necessary and the pool is perfect for lounging
