Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): Great stay for a getaway. - It was very clean and very quiet. I love that! The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. The staff were lovely. Its close to everything interesting. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.. The parking was a couple of blocks away, but honestly, it was not a big deal. The parking was secure and the attendant friendly.
- Donna (10/5): -
- Omar (10/5): -
- lauren (8/5): Very pleasant - wish there was one. dogs next door and bad acoustics
- Genoveva (9/5): - Ubicación
- margarita (9/5): -
- FERNANDO (9/5): - Las camas son muy cómodas. Sería bueno que tuvieran alimentos.
- MARCO ANTONIO (7/5): -
- Abraham (10/5): - Location
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- Karina (8/5): - Comodo
- Marianna (9/5): Superb - This was an old hotel with historical charm with some nice open spaces. The beds were comfortable, the staff very helpful, the showers were hot. The rooms were very cold. Albeit the weather was cooler that typical.
- Diego (6/5): - Really old hotel in the center of town. Parking area is several blocks away. If you have luggage, you should try and find a spot closer to unload luggage first. But I think a lot of hotels in this area have to deal with inconvenient parking. Unless you're staying farther out of town center. Room was small and didn't feel super clean. The lighting needs to be better, just change the bulbs to 2700k or something. Overall felt over priced for what you're getting. But not the worst place I've stayed at.
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Randy (7/5): Disappointed town square - Location The area outside of the hotel , especially the near buy square, has been turned into a dumpy looking permanent market. A better square is one block away without all the clutter.
- Daniel (10/5): - En el centro
- Ramos (9/5): Overall great hotel and staff, would stay again. - Property location is great. Staff was very attentive. Shower pressure and water temperature were not constant. Water temp would go from hot to warm and then cold.
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Noelia (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Comfortable rooms. Nice hot showers. Comfortable beds. Amazing staff.
- Violeta (10/5): Great experience. - Hotel Refugio del Angel was, by far, excellent to stay for a couple of days. The walk to and from the plaza in Patzcuaro was perfect for my latest 60's aged mom. Friendly staff at the reception. The fact that our room was by the stairs, right in front of the reception. Late at night we could hear loud people talking.
- Jorge (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eduardo (10/5): - Muy amables y todo muy limpio
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable beds, hot water, friendly stuff, good location.
- Dave (8/5): - Overall, a nice quiet place to stay. The location is easily accessible to everything around.
- Jose (10/5): Bonito - Nice hotel close to everything.
- Denise (9/5): Superb -
- Glenn (7/5): Good -
- Javier (6/5): - I liked that it was close to everything in the center of town...
- Maria (10/5): - Clean, personnel very friendly. AC for hot weather
- Jorge (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): - My stay at Refugio Angels was exceptional. The staff in particular went out of their way to assist me. This is an extremely comfortable property due to the care of the staff.
- Florentino (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bertha (9/5): very historical like wood finish - very nice clean water heaters mix during shower
- Uziel (7/5): I will never return, the stay is very expensive, for that cost in another hotel in the same center there would have been - its cleaning The access is terrible, I myself moved its chains because a person with a disability was carrying
because at the beginning we got her out of the car in the second row, there is no staff to help or facilitate
the entrance ramp is very high and unsafe
- Mendoza (9/5): Superb -
- Carol de (10/5): The Hotel is a Refuge - This hotel was clean, accomodating, comfortable and the staff was friendly. The only problem was that on Dia de los Muertos we could not easily access the hotel as parking, traffic, and even the GPS was a nightmare. If there's a way to explain or advertise the logistics about how to get to it, that would help. Once we arrived, however, walking uphill, the staff actually went with one of us back down to the car and helped us get closer and with our luggage. Not their fault. Just something to think about. The hotel is near the plaza, activities and situated well.
- Maria (1/5): Bad - The shower was big. Super expensive, rude staff. 2 towels, 1 roll of toilet paper and 2 small bottles of water for 4 people. Coffee, more toliet paper at a cost. TV was broken, a big circle on the screen, couldn't use phones or wifi in the room, staff said it was because the walls were made of concrete but we could hear evey neighbor, loudly. Kids couldn't sleep. Most expensive hotel I've ever had in the US or Mexico, super rude receptionist. Never again.
- German (7/5): Se niegan a facturar - Se niegan a facturar
- Grace (6/5): - The hotel initially put us in a large upstairs room with no windows. We were disappointed that there were no windows but it was a nice large room so no problem. We walked around town for a while and when we came back our room smelled like sewage! Our friend had the room next door and her room smelled fine. I told the front desk and no one seemed shocked or surprised or even interested in checking out the room. Anyway, the gave us a room on the first floor which was nice if a little damp.
- Roberto (8/5): Una estancia placentera.
- Jon C (8/5): - Nice stay...the Wi-Fi was a little spotty. But we had a nice stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location, just off the Plaza Chica was excellent. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. For the very reasonable price, this little hotel is great!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel bien
El estacionamiento esta muy legos dos cuadras
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Iin dow town Patzcuaro. 9nly inconvenience was the parking which is off site in a parking garage
- Juan (8/5): - Todo excelente
- Yorsh (8/5): - Great Hotel overall. Just one thing... Try to pick rooms in the second floor, else you will hear everything happening on the floor above.
- LILLIAN (8/5): - The hotel is well located, clean and nice. The service not so good . The bathroom too small
- PB (8/5): - Nice hotel, great beds, lovely hot showers. Located just around the corner from the Plaza so perfect location but still very quiet.
- mari (10/5): great hotel - The hotel room was a little cold, but the night receptionist let me borrow a small electric heater.
Great staff!!
The only thing I was a little desatisfied with was that they did not change the bed sheets without me asking them twice, I stayed for eight days.
☺️
- Andrew (8/5): Great experience. - Between Plaza Chica and Plaza Quiroga, great location easy to get around. Internet signal was week but the walls are super thick in this 18th century building. Beautiful old world feel, good breakfast a lite loud on the street side.
Loved it.
