• Ajith (8/5): Comfortable stay in the heart of Mangalore city - This property is shutting down in two weeks, apparently never to be back. We have stayed here twice over three years and had a pleasant experience both times. Their food is particularly well done, so are the room sizes. We stayed in a suite and had ample space for all our requirements. The air conditioning wasn’t all that great, just about ok. WiFi too had some ups and downs. Yet given the location, the overall comfort and the staff this was worth it. We might have stayed again if the hotel were to still be around.

We believe your booking .com but these type of hotel pls do not recement again... if not we have to choose other booking agent. which you please not. timely maintain as per standerd
• B (9/5): Staying in Moti Mahal is pleasure and cozy cool and comfort.. - Good location , well connected, a very famous name since past few decades . Name spells positive signals. The restaurant requires tasty food items and fresh and hot . Coffee requires more aroma. It is just ordinary..overall OK

Maya the cleaner was excellent Moti Mahal requested 50% of payment a few weeks before check in. They threatened to cancel the booking if this payment was not paid. This was not mentioned in the payment specifications hence caused a lot of concern whether it was a scam. They did not acknowledge receipt of the amount in spite of several messages to them and WhatsApp calls. Also when I contacted booking.com to investigate, the communication went directly to the hotel. So I'm not sure whether Moti Mahal is linked to booking.com even though I booked through booking.com.

• Sharma (2/5): Not worth for the value paid. - Location Any thing and everything, zero value for money, the bead sheets, pillow covers, the quilt cover, the closet are not clean, there is no refrigerator in the room, no iron and board in the room, the TV is not working, it goes on in comparison to the low cost hotels in the same radius with good comfort condition.

• Vinitha (3/5): Terrible , Stayed jus for an hr n vacated - Nothin Musty room, bed had silverfish, rooms need a total revamp including bathroom. The tap for the basin was so wonky . Windows need to be changed to sound proof. Lots of outside noise heard inside the room
• Carol (7/5): Read all the reviews! - After reading the reviews we decided to give the hotel a try but we found they were true. The reception area and the lobby look as though they’ve been maintained but once you get towards your room you can see how unkempt the hotel is. The room was in need of some TLC and the bathrooms definitely needed some attention, esp the toilet pans! We ate in the non veg restaurant throughout our stay, food good and the waiters couldn’t be nicer. Breakfast a choice available. Staff were generally very helpful but a couple of the women on reception could be with some customer training. I’m sure if a little money was spent the place would look good from a freshen up. Dated, cleanliness of rooms, torn carpets outside in hall areas, stairs broken on the complete top step on second floor so big step down to first step down (real trip hazard),wooden flooring in room damaged and lifted up.

No hangers in the closet. Not enough creamer packets in the room. Enough sugar packets. Bathroom exhaust fan does not exhaust enough air-mirrors fog up when taking a shower-tell tale sign.

• Alphonso (10/5): Exceptional - I have known MotiMahal since my childhood. For the first time we stayed in. Excellent staff, food choice, breakfadt, room service etc. I had been an intl traveller. I rate this hotel very comfortable. Their restaurants have variety and quality. Response from front desk or room service was the best All was well. But hand towels in bathroom and toilet rolls must be provided in time. Dont allow customer to call for it. Small change but it will upgrade the status
• Shakeel (6/5): can be a better experience - Food Quality Air-conditioning was not good at all. Need more maintenance generally, The doors are worn our with termite attack. No fridge in the room.

Main entrance door could not open. had to try so many times to enter. Looked like door lock was broken into. No safe, no fridge. Bedside cabinet only one side. other side nothing. Ceiling fan also had fungus. toilet flush not working. Underneath sink full of fungus.
