- Hacer (6/5): - We stayed here for vacation purposes. I preferred it because it was next to a quiet park and away from the city. The hotel was clean, quiet, and nice, however, it really lacked some basic necessities such as at least one bottle of water per person per day, clean disposable slippers, and a kettle with cups to make tea or coffee to relax after a long day. The rooms were also a bit cold. For this reason, I cannot say that I was very satisfied. I have stayed in hotels abroad for many years and have never seen such shortcomings.
- Shyli (6/5): - The rooms do not have air conditioning. Which is okay because they did provide a fan. When housekeeping came 2 days into our trip they took the fan. We called the front desk to ask if we could get the fan back and they said it was in a room that was locked. But we could open the windows because it is cool outside. The windows had no screens and we had so many big bugs come into our room. We caught four of them in a cup and took them to the front desk to show them. Then they said they could get us a fan the next day. We declined house cleaning one day, but asked the front desk if we could get coffee because we did not get house cleaning. They were not able to give us coffee because it was also in a locked closet. The area was nice and there was a grocery store nearby. You had to take a train to get anywhere. The front desk staff in the evenings were very kind and apologetic of our problems, but they were not in a place that they could resolve them because they did not have access to the locked room. But they did their best to try to assist us.
- Michael James (6/5): - The drapes didn't close completely and there was an exterior light shining into the room. Pillows were super soft and provided little neck support. The evening bartender was rude and had little customer service. He seemed to be upset with you for being there. Gym facility is not located at the hotel but is a short walk away. Staff didn't want to help with any event planning or knowledge of the area. Will stay somewhere else for next year Oktoberfest.
- Phillip (10/5): - Hotel abuts a park. Very friendly staff. Nice rooms. Never ate breakfast there as 29 euro seemed high and less expensive restaurants were 10 minute walk. I would stay there again.
- Hampus (6/5): Bra läge men hårda sängar. - Bra läge nära tunnelbanan och mataffärer och enkelt att parkera gratis på gatan. Lugnt område så vi kunde ha balkongdörren öppen på kvällen utan att störas. Tyvärr otroligt hårda sängar och ingen luftkonditionering så rummet var väldigt varmt på kvällen.

- Razvan (4/5): - Everything went well until after we checked out. We booked through Expedia a stay without breakfast because we don’t eat breakfast. After checkout, on our way to the Airport we received an email and Amex notification that we were charged an additional approx $360. Upon contacting the hotel we were told they charged us breakfast even though we didn’t have breakfast. They also charged us $8 for sending the electronic invoice for that charge.
- Henning Friis (10/5): En sjældenhed - en hyggelig perle - Et super hyggeligt lille hotel. med en familiær og meget rolig stemning. En uovertruffen service, af personale, som virkelig ønsker at gøre forskel overfor deres gæster. Meget hyggelig restaurant, bar og "bibliotek" hvor man roligt kan sidde og nyde sin middag.

- Gideon (10/5): - This hotel is not in the city centre, but public transportation, grocery shopping and dining options are good. The building is adjacent to a large park and there is a fitness room close by ( no charge). Staff are very friendly and helpful. For our purposes this is a good and relaxing alternative to the extremely crowded city centre.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Technisch nicht gut. Überteuert - WLAN sehr langsam. Auf dem Zimmer nur in Fensternähe Telefonempfang, ansonsten max Edge, kein G5, in Zimmertürnähe kein Handyempfang. Auswahl an der Bar und Essen sehr gering und ziemlich stark übertrieben im Gesamtverhältnis. Schade!

Green space in the immediate vicinity makes this more relaxing than the overcrowded city centre. 10 minute underground train ride to centre and railway station.

- MAJID (2/5): - Apparently it is ok to have a 4 start hotel in Munich without have air conditioning in the room. This was a surprise, the only good thing is that I was staying for two nights and the weather was reasonable cool. For the price I have payed It was not worth it at all. I would not even pay a cheaper price if offered. The hotel location is remote and nothing is close within a walking distance. Expedia should make it clear in the description that there is no air conditioning in the room. This will avoid mishap for customers and avoid having them mislead. It was an ordeal for me. Would definitely not recommend if you are a light sleeper ! The manager of the hotel was really something, completely ignorant of a customer concerns.I would have cancelled my reservation if it was refundable which was not an option when I booked through Expedia. Truly a disappointing experience

- Umut (10/5): - Wir waren anlässlich des Fußballspiels übers Wochenende im Parkhotel Rothof. Unser Aufenthalt war wunderbar. Das Hotel liegt im ruhigen Bogenhausen allerdings auch nur 10 Minuten von der Innenstadt entfernt. Einziges kleines Manko war der Balkon dieser hätte ein wenig sauberer sein können. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und dieses Hotel herzlichst weiterempfehlen.

There was on-street parking for free that was always available for us over our two-day stay, and there was a (not-free) garage in the hotel as well that we didn't use. Only negative? Clearly there were smokers in the room beneath us who smoked on their balcony, which came up to our floor and meant we had to close our windows and couldn't use the balcony whilst they smoked. Probably unavoidable unless the hotel prohibits smoking on balconies.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Gutes Hotel für Geschäftsreise - Ich war für eine Geschäftsreise dort, weil mein eigentliches Hotel überbucht war. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt während einer Geschäftsreise war das Hotel in Ordnung, gutes WLAN und sauber. Das Zimmer lag leider direkt an der Hauptverkehrsstraße, daher musste ich das Fenster geschlossen lassen. Es gibt aber auch Zimmer mit Fenster zum Innenhof. Das Frühstück habe ich nicht in Anspruch genommen, kann es also nicht bewerten. Im Vergleich mit anderen Business-Hotels wäre es mir jedoch zu teuer, da bieten andere das gleiche für einen geringeren Preis.

Despite arriving at mid-day, well in advance of the usual 3pm check-in time, we were given an upgraded room and were made to feel most welcome. Breakfasts are excellent and were appreciated by both ourselves and our daughter and partner who live locally in Munich. Becoming dab hands with the integrated Munich transport system - a bus stopping just outside the hotel.

- Judith (8/5): Beautiful spot, convenient and large rooms - The garden setting is beautiful. The rooms are large and comfortable. And the breakfast had lots of variety and was open till quite late in the morning if you wanted to sleep in a bit. It was unseasonably hot during my stay, and perhaps a fan or air conditioning would have helped with overnight comfort. Saying that you could leave the garden door open with the Venetian s down and take advantage of any breeze.

Dessverre hadde ingen av de 3 rommene noen airconditionen og nettene varm nokså varme men uansett kan hotellet anbefales. Veldig bra beliggenhet i forhold til offentlig transport.

It is a five-minute walk from a subway station and an Aldi's supermarket. Odeonsplatz in the heart of the old city is only five subway stops away.There is a nearby, interesting open-air market on Thursdays. The staff is very friendly and efficient. In my view, it's far superior to the big chain hotels.

Unser Zimmer (901) war perfekt, Blick in den Park. Hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet, sehr guter Service. Einziges Manko ist die Tiefgarage, die, wie bei fast allen Hotels, zu teuer ist, ebenso wie ein offener Parkplatz (€ 16.- pT). mit extrem enger Einfahrt (mit nem Smart kein Problem :-)). Weiterhin sehr schöne Sportanlage (Fitness, Tennis etc.) mit nettem Restaurant. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert

- Yana (10/5): Beautiful surroundings and royal breakfast - HotelROthof is massively underrated. Probably it's because they've just done the refurbishment (some of it may be still underway). I didn't expect much when I booked it, however I was up to a nice surprise! The room was big, comfortable and clean. It had a balcony and was overlooking the park, splendid view. The breakfast was taking place in a nice conservatory, also facing the park. The choice of food was huge, better than in 5 star hotels! And the cantine staff was really doing their best, offering great coffee and looking after me. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, 100% value for money and more. Will be glad to come back!

- Bevinahally (8/5): Nice hotel, Helpful staff - We checked-in on a hot day in Munich. The hotel does not have AC and we were given a room on the third floor - it was uncomfortable and the Wi-fi did not work on this floor. The staff were very helpful and switched us to a lower floor the next day. The weather cooled and rest of our stay was very comfortable. The train station is about 1/4 mile and takes about 10-15 minutes to get to Munich city center. The restaurant at the hotel is nice. Our kids used the tennis courts during our stay.
- John (6/5): More customer care is needed. - 3 main points - 1. Our son and his family live in Munich so, over the past few years, we have stayed at the Rothof around 5 times but they do seem to be aware of this. I am surprised as good hotels should acknowledge the return of good clients. 2. The hotel's restaurant was crammed for breakfast, with a queue outside, waiting for empty tables. Clients were having to share with other residents and it brought embarrassing communication problems on all sides. This is more usual for a B&B and not for an hotel which has considerably cheaper and quite local competitors. I recognise that it may be a high season problem, but they need to consider "glassing in" their seated patio area adjacent to the restaurant 3. There is no AC, and no fans in our room which made the hot weather (30+ degrees) quite difficult. We should not have to ask if fans are available. There is no compelling reason for us to continue to use the Rothof, especially as it is not convenient for the Airport train. Our daughter, her husband and our grandchild travelled to Munich with us and stayed at a new and much cheaper hotel quite close to the Rothof, but with easy access to the train. They have recommended it to us and we will consider using it, or a competitor, on our next visit.

Outstanding breakfast buffet included with the room. 45 minute cab ride to airport. 10 minute walk to subway. Room for 4 people and a small kitchenette. Only drawback was lack of A/C but with the windows open it was fine.
