• Alexander (10/5): - We arrived a little ahead of schedule but were welcomed and able to check in super quickly. The room was very conveniently situated in the centre of Lucca, with easy access to most things. The only downside would be the 6 flights of stairs to reach our room!

• Katia (7/5): Nice short stay in Lucca for the Summer Festival - Location was top-notch: really close to everything you might need for a nice weekend (+ the Lucca Summer Festival). Luana, the host, was really welcoming The bathroom: it had all we needed but being it detached from the bedroom, there wasn't any air conditioning - way too hot for these summer days. Stairs: I think it should be detailed better in the description that there were quite a lot of stairs to the room

• Gray (9/5): Views forever - The views are indeed panoramic. We had a few of a clock tower and a church tower on one side and the Roofs of Luca on the other. Because we were up so high, we left the windows open and could hear the sounds of Luca. It’s a small thing, but after a big day of walking the Via Francigena, there were a lot of steps to get up to the apartment. But the view was worth it.
• Matthew (10/5): - Lucca was a stunning city, and this aparthotel was really conveniently located. It was a beautiful place to stay too, and the host was communicative and made me feel so welcome. I’d highly recommend staying here!

Super quiet area, restaurants nearby and 20min walk from Lucca station. Host is super nice and reachable via whatsapp. Appartamento fantastico per andare in Toscana o in altre città vicine. L’appartamento è molto grande, il bagno è separato ma privato in il corridoio. In vicino all’appartamento ci sono molte ristoranti e ci sono solo 20 minuti a piedi per arrivare alla stazione di Lucca.

• Shirley (10/5): A cozy stay in a perfect location - A cozy and quiet suite for three nites in the heart of historic Lucca. Perfetto! Cool December nites were no match for our cozy room. The bed and bedding made for great slumber, and the hot shower was welcomed after long days of exploring and dining. A separate room for lounging over a cup of tea was welcomed too. 77 steps up to our suite were not a problem for us ( both seniors) but for anyone with mobility issues it would not be suitable. (The young host did kindly offer to carry our bags.) The climb is well worth it and affords lovely views of the rooftops and a tower whose clock always indicates 10:31😉

The 79 steps to reach the apartment kept us fit! The shower room was just outside the apartment, but this was not too inconvenient. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

Our proprietor was punctual, friendly, clearly explained everything we needed to know and was available if we had any questions. The apartment was ENCHANTING. It was truly more lovely than the pictures. The neighborhood was quiet, I enjoyed gazing out the windows over the rooftops as the breeze floated through the windows. Everything was comfortable and clean. Our host gave us a recommendation for dinner at a nearby seafood restaurant which was intimate and delicious. We couldn't have been happier with our stay in lovely Lucca!

The bathroom was just outside our room but the shower was large and it was still quite private since there are only 2 guest suites. Breakfast (coffee, cereal, pastries, toast) was served directly in the room at our specified time. The air conditioning kept the top floor room cool and the bed was comfortable. It is in an older building with many stairs but we wanted historic charm and we were pleased with our experience. Lucrezia was a very helpful and accommodating hostess. Thank you for a lovely experience!
• Steve (8/5): Great spot to be based in Lucca - Very good apartment, with nice welcoming people keeping it clean and provisioned. You need to be fit to make the stairs as it's at the top of the building but it's very secure and comfortable. If you're planning on making it up the towers and church domes of the area, you'll not mind stairs anyway. Lovely breakfast and very helpful people, Lucida and Rebecca, offering help with finding places and local amenities and services. It would be good to have a bigger fridge for full size water bottles and being British, we missed not having a small kettle in the room to make tea, but these are small quibbles really. Overall if you want a Tuscany base, especially if travelling by bike, bus or train, it would be hard to find a better location and place to stay.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a really nice place with a really nice view. I would have appreciated if somewhere in the description it said that I had to go up almost 70 stair steps. Like many hotels inside the wall you can not go in with your car so you have to carry your luggage through the city and then up the stairs. We were here one night so we just took the necessary things for one day and left the rest in the car. Breakfast was nice and the girl in charge was also very pleasant.

• marc (8/5): SEJOUR AGREABLE A LUCCA - 1ere nuit d'un voyage de 5 nuits en italie contacté par mail via hôtel.com puis surWhatsapp directement par Lucrezia notre hôtesse, cela a facilité "l atterrissage" dans la "zone a trafic limité" (une horreur en Italie surtout le lendemain à Florence...): tres gentiment elle nous a guidé l appartement au dernier étage est lumineux,spacieux le petit déjeuner pourrait être amélioré (pourquoi pas du pain frais il y a une boulangerie en bas de l immeuble)

• annalisa (4/5): Si ci può lavorare su!!! - Non è un appartamento adatto ad una famiglia,sempre se non si vuole dormire con le brandne, perché di brandine pieghevoli parliamo, tutti in una stanza oppure in salone con cucina senza tende oscuranti o persiane ... non credo sia nemmeno molto sicuro perché vecchio e di questi tempi non ci si può permettere di andare allo sbaraglio visto le numerose scosse sismiche !!! E comunque l appuntamento necessità di più manutenzione in generale !!
• Bruce (10/5): Central location, historic feel - The apartment had lots of windows and you could see sky and rooftops from all of them. Apartment had a small functional kitchen and there was a good grocery a block away. Bathroom was small but had everything needed. Decorated with furniture that matched the feel of the space. Simple breakfast served, which we supplemented with our own purchases. You will have to negotiate about 4 flights of stairs, but that was not a problem for us.

• Judith (10/5): Charming, historic bedroom suite in old town Lucca - Lovely comfortable bedroom suite in one of the very old historic tall houses, typical in northern Italy. The room was on the 5th floor, with no elevator, so other potential guests should understand this. But the location right in the middle of old town Lucca was superb for walking and seeing the sites. Grocery store, restaurants, all very close by. The owner was very kind and helpful, and the continental breakfast was brought right up to the room in the morning. The bathroom was not en suite, but was just outside my door and got my private use.

Sweetheart young hostess. Lots of stairs to climb...but well worth it!! Will definitely stay at again when back in Lucca.
• n2taka (8/5): 隠れ家のような場所 - いわゆるホテルではなく、普通の家庭を客用に改造したような屋根裏部屋です。 部屋の窓からは、ルッカのシンボルの一つであるグイジーニの塔が間近に見え、なんとなく得した気分になります。 部屋は５階ですが、エレベーターはありません。荷物は各自階段を持ち運び上げなければなりません。 いわゆるホテルではないので、ポーターはいませんから大きな荷物はちょっと考えものです。

• Annie (8/5): LOTS OF STAIRS - My boyfriend and my grandparents stayed at Altana Panoramic. Let me just say that if you're okay with walking up 9, yes NINE, flights of stairs to reach your apartment, the go for it! The views were beatiful and the charm to the apartment was really nice. Couple of warnings: If you have more than two people, expect a roll-away. I ended up taking the mattress off the frame of my roll away bed because it kept collapsing. The mattress itself directly on the floor was extremely firm and I felt like I was pretty much sleeping on the floor. I definitely don't think it's fair to charge extra for additional guests when the beds provided aren't adequate. The breakfast provided was some milk, cereal, and danishes.

• Cristina (10/5): Great B&B in central Lucca - The B&B was perfect. Location great - central old city of Lucca. Shops, restaurants, churches, history - all within seconds of B&B. The only thing to be aware of is that there are 4 flights of stairs to reach it. If walking or climbing is an issue then one might want to reconsider.. But then, most old cities in Italy don't have elevators. We loved it. Great view of old City.

Venlig pige kom og satte morgenmad frem, lavede kaffe, varmede mælk - og da vi satte det i opvaskeren mente hun at hun ville tømme den. God service. Kommer nok igen......

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Very much a B&B, please note there is no reception as such. Make sure you have your maps sorted beforehand! Lovely room overlooking the ceramic rooftops. Bathroom is not connected internally to your room but is no issue. Breakfast was provided in our room at our requested time. Very central location. Don't rely on taxi's in Lucca! The lady called them twice for us and they never turned up so we had to walk - is only about a 15 min walk to the station though.

• JON (8/5): - We spent 2 nights here and we had a lovely time. The only downside was the number of steps to get to the apartment and the pressure in the shower was very poor. Everything else was perfect for our short stay.
