The guesthouses off the main property were quieter. Rooms were quite small but clean. Breakfast was limited but good. Main guest houses were a bit rundown. Pool was small but okay. One guest pool was in the backyard of a guesthouse and not very inviting/ very small.

Marcia (1/5): Filthy rooms, termite problem, poor housekeeping service, desk clerks don't address complaints. - Location was convenient to shops and restaurants Room was filthy. Floor had not been washed between customers. Black smudges and stains were all over tile floor that came up with a wet paper towel when I wiped up some crumbs I dropped. They said they were sending someone to mop it but they hadn't come by 5 p.m. the night before I checked out when I told them to never mind at that point. Termite wings all over dresser. Housekeeping service (if there had been any) didn't happen until after 4:30 pm. because they said they had to clean check outs first and don't get to the other rooms until much later. The only visit from housekeeping was a bag of towels at the door. They never came in to clean. The caulk around the tub was more black than white. The door to the room wouldn't shut unless you locked it. Our dog got out before we realized that. The whole unit was very poorly maintained. When we were were leaving we asked some people leaving from a nearby unit if their room had been clean - they responded that their two rooms were both dirty and the bottom of the mother's feet were black from walking barefoot across the floor the first time. We all wore shoes inside the rooms. Front desk claimed my dirty room was very unusual. Apparently it was NOT.

Jennifer (1/5): Thankfully it was only one , wouldn’t stay again, wouldn’t recommend, wouldn’t visit Key West again. - Nothing, room 203, in loft space. Steep dangerous stairs as soon as you go through the door. Everything, stairs inside front door were dangerous, especially also when you had cases. Could only stand in the middle of the room. The toilet seat was stained & worn. Room smelt musty and got bitten though the night. States car parking with every room, in reality it’s street parking & you have to hand your keys over and they move your car around the streets if required, which ours was within an hour of arriving. We weren’t the only ones that weren’t happy another couple commented about the small size of the rooms and left a lot to be desired

Nik (2/5): The poor cleanliness and misleading accommodations made the experience a poor value for the price. - The freezer. Our stay was quite disappointing as the room did not reflect the photos shown online. Located in a dark, poorly maintained back area, the room featured a sofa bed instead of a standard bed and a very loud air conditioning unit. Cleanliness was a major issue throughout the property—from the floors and bedside tables to the pool chairs and breakfast area. Speaking of breakfast, the quality was poor with limited beverage options and lackluster service. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and not up to the expected standard.

Kayla (8/5): Overall nice place to stay, wished we knew we would NOT be in the area we thought we booked. - Liked that there was a parking spot included with room, liked the room itself- roomy and comfortable. Staff guy that answered phone was very friendly, but upon arrival to checkin area- the ladies were not friendly. We thought we'd actually be staying in a room near the main facilities, but our place was the furthest away from Duval St etc. Other days again- front desk staff- not friendly and acted like we were an inconvenience for our questions etc.
Kathleen (8/5): This room's central location made it very convenient, but overall it felt old and worn out. - The room was in an excellent location, easily walkable to restaurants, shops, and historic sites. The A/C worked great, which was certainly necessary during my stay. The breakfast location near the pool was beautiful and serene. A basic continental breakfast, but definitely a plus. The room needs a little TLC. The bottom of the bathtub was very slippery, so much so that I put a wet towel down so that I wouldn't be worried about slipping the whole time I was showering. I was well aware that the room was small and "basic", and I was fine with that. However, it looks and feels old and tired. It would not take much to make this basic room feel much nicer. All that being said, I would stay here again when I'm again in Key West.

Susan (8/5): Good place to enjoy Key West. - On Duval Street. Walk was easy and fun. Free parking. Even backed our car for us. Pool was beautiful and relaxing. Didn’t eat breakfast, but it looked yummy. Affordable. Our room was small and reminiscent of an attic. Positives outweighed negatives.

Joseph (8/5): A great place that I will be back to. - The staff were great. The location is perfect for walking the old part of Key West. Very good restaurants right across the street, two blocks from Ernest Hemingway’s house and the lighthouse. Great place to stay. Great breakfast. Parking is limited but that should be expected. The wild roosters will wake you up early but that is not the guesthouse’s fault. They runn free on the island.

tammy (7/5): If the do a little maintenance I’d come back - The front desk attendant was super nice and breakfast was good. Excellent location Rust in the bath tub you had to see everyone you walk in there. The ceiling needs painted really bad above the bed very ugly. Wall hanging missing in the kitchen area, just an ugly nail in the wall. The front porch has a lot of miss matched old furniture just lying around with dead plants, all easy fixes,not attractive.

Ilaria (8/5): Caratteristica e centrale guesthouse dove si respira l’atmosfera di Ley West - Posizione magnifica su Duval Street, centrale e con la possibilità di noleggiare la bici (20$ per un giorno, solo cash. Vicino c’è però un noleggio che fa pagare 15$). Complesso tipico di Key West, originale e carismatico, come la gentile receptionist sempre disponibile e allegra. Un plus il parcheggio. Carina la piscina. Aria condizionata molto rumorosa e colazione un po‘ limitata.

Michael (8/5): Amazing location. - Amazing location, close to many great bars and restaurants. Big spacious room. Clean. Very poor internet signal in the room. Limited hot water, only enough for a quick shower for 1 person. Then needs to be left to warm up.

Great size room but the AC didn't work well to cool the place down. I'd suggest to the owners on getting a different AC unit.

Ulrike (4/5): Sieht auf den Bildern besser aus als es ist - Der Standort an der Duval Street ist super. Ein Zimmer unter dem Dach .... heiß ohne Klimaanlage ... sehr laut mit Klimaanlage. Eine steile Stiege (Treppe kann man dazu nicht sagen) ins Dach. Der Koffer war kaum hoch zu bekommen.

Rebecca (10/5): Perfect and a good price for key west - We asked for a quiet room, it was sorted before we arrived. Breakfast buffet was good, had a good selection. Location was perfect. Pool was a bonus. The staff were always very helpful. It’s a quirky hotel in traditional style, not super modern but just what we were expecting. Would definitely stay again. Anyone looking for a modern sterile hotel would be advised to stay elsewhere. We loved it!

Peccato la colazione non comprendesse la componente salata e la frutta fresca fosse limitata nella tipologia. La struttura è un po' datata.

Wood (9/5): Cosy place, great location - The location was perfect. We could walk to every place we wanted to visit in Key West. Dining close by too. Very close to Hemingway's house. The room was small, yet cosy. A bit of traffic noise, but we slept well.

ANDREA (5/5): Guesthouse caratteristica; ma merita una ristrutturata! - Atmosfera che ti aspetti dalla cittadina, caratteristica e gradevole. Piccolo complesso costituito da varie casette annesse, una all'altra, cortiletti comunicanti, piccola piscina. Piacevole la zona piscina esterna, ed annessa area colazioni. Camera piuttosto piccola con letto queen, con spazio appena sufficiente per salirci e scendere. Finiture "catatteristiche" ma tutto molto datato; condizionatore vecchissimo e molto rumoroso. La stanza meriterebbe una ristrutturazione sostanziale, per finiture, arredi, impianti, ecc. - La mia camera era adiacente ad un bar con musica dal vivo, che sentivi come direttamente presenti ! Fortunatamente terminavano prima di mezzanotte. Rapporto qualità / prezzo : Non Classificabile.

Room 204 was a ratty looking room, very old, noisy through the wall AC unit that clunked all night right over the bed, bedding that was ready for the rag bin, old beat up furniture, bathroom that needed to be gutted, one small window on side wall of bedroom, room was like a dungeon

Mary (10/5): BREAUTIFUL - room was great. Breakfast was great, freshest bagels ever. The only thing that was not great was the location of our room, 215, in a cottage about 600 feet away from the pool and breakfast areas. This cottage was just barely accessible to a person in a wheelchair or using a walker or cane. Stairs and rocky roadway made it difficult to reach the room. If I had known about this at booking, I would have requested a room in one of the cottages by the breakfast lounge/pool. The other great thing was being permitted to leave suitcases, etc at the front desk after our arrival but before the room was ready. This allowed to us to look around in the area without carrying everthing. Notification that certain rooms were a hike down the street and not really suited for those needing mobility assistance.
