- Michael (4/5): - It is OK for a Marysville Motel. The rooms are clean and have been slightly updated, but it is still an older property. Lots of construction workers and other long-term guests. The people running the hotel were nice but there is only so much they can do with this older motel. The breakfast is awful. Wal-mart purchased bulk pastries, pre-packaged breakfast sandwiches, and daily mix for gravy. Blech.

- Janet F (6/5): - The property hosts were accommodating in explaining things such as the TV remotes, before entering the room. The room was outdated but clean. If I had any negative about the room that would have been the need for a new faucet in the bathtub.

What we got was small handicapped room with queen size bed no sauna or hot tub a toilet area you had to step out of to wipe your ass very unsatisfied we had reservations 3 months in advance so bad we decided to only stay for 1 night instead of the 3 we had planned for
- Brian (10/5): Surf stay - Had a room off the interior hallway, and it was better than expected. Very clean, quiet, and everything working as it should. Breakfast was not extravagant, but more than adequate, except the coffee did run low and dry by 8:00am, but I will definitly return if motel is needed again in the area.

My husband did say the biscuits and gravy were cold. BUT most important to me is cleanliness and my room was spotless.

- Robert (6/5): Back Sleepers Paradise at a Good Price - Decent, but not great hotel. Good value for the price. Mattress is very firm, so if you're a back or stomach sleeper you'll love it. If you're a side sleeper you'll hate it. Area is quiet. Plenty of parking. Good location in Marysville with easy access to everything.

And the doors are all updated with locks that you just wave the key over, no metal key and no need to insert a card. Has direct tv, microwave and Deirdre. Air conditioning worked very well for July. Also, outside was a broken down car so again while the room was fine service was fine he’s getting in and out was fine. You may want to look somewhere else first.

- Eugene (6/5): Fair ti poor second choice motel - Motel is apparently owned by people of Indian descent who are living up to their stereotypical reputation of milking everything possible out of a property before it collapses. Old , thin sheets, poor pillows, worn out furniture, ect. Surprisingly, the breakfast was quite good. The only large, national chain motel around was booked over Memorial weekend which didn't leave much other choice.

- Verified traveler (6/5): No waves at Surf Motel :( - It was a no frills hotel. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked. The TV wouldn't come on and the continental breakfast consisted of a packaged cherry cheese Danish - nothing else. It was fine for one night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hoping this isn’t the best Marysville has to offer - What do you expect? Nothing about this motel builds up expectations. It was sufficient for a place to sleep and nothing more. Entering into the vacant lobby and seeing the dated condition, I left with no desire to see more. We did not bother to check out the breakfast since the drab vibe left me wondering if the quality of the food matched the quality of the room. Next time in Marysville, I’ll try somewhere else.
- Alyssa (6/5): - The bed was hard and stiff. You can tell it is in need of of update but for town and conscience of being close to family it is a 2.5 to 3 stars. Breakfast is ok but you best get up early to have fresh or I would stick to ceral and milk and prob get coffee in the room.
- Sam (10/5): No better choice - I visit Marysville several times a year for work and I only stay here. It’s not possible that it’s not the best option. It’s very clear the owners take pride in their motel and the level of service they provide.

- Charles (8/5): Less than expected - Breakfast consisted of breads, sweet rolls, weak coffee, and Walmart bagels. The cream cheese presented was in a communal container, not individual self serve. Can you say health code violation? Could not see any cleaning staff save for one person (mom?). The owner (I presuming here) walked out of a back office in a tee-shirt and kaki pants, barefoot, during checkin. He sat down in an open chair near the stairwell and began asking questions in an Indian dialect. The son and mother shooshed him back into the office. While the sheets and bedding appeared clean, I question whether the bathrooms and floors were sufficiently cleaned. There was a soap cap in the shower stall from the previous owner. The rooms must have been recently remodeled as it had newish shower, bathroom fixtures. Beds/mattresses for my room were not stained.
- Sam (10/5): Love this place - Stay here several times a year when visiting local customer. Run by a simply delightful woman and her polite, courteous family, this place is a gem. Well lit rooms, micro, decent fridge, tons of outlets, plenty of towels, great soap, guest laundry. Just all around 'nice touches' everywhere you turn at a fair price.

Do I get a reimbursement? We travel some, this room had the absolute smallest bathroom that we ever experienced.

We did not want a smoking room, management went out of their way to get us a room...even offered to put us up in the next town since all hotels were full. Breakfast was poor, juice machine was broken. Room was clean, comfy, and mostly quiet. No slamming doors throughout the night. Will stay here again next time.
