- jandkv2017 (2/5): THEY CHEAT YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY! - Do NOT stay at this hotel. We booked 2 rooms -one via their direct website and one via phone directly to their front desk. They double charged us for one room and then refused to refund our money, claiming we booked 3rd party, which we DID NOT. Also, both sets of key cards were deactivated at random times throughout our stay, resulting in us being locked out of our rooms and requiring trips to the front desk. Not sure what kind of shady operation they are running there, but it is definitely not good for customer service. You will save time, stress, and probably money, by staying somewhere else.

Room temp was good as it was warm outside. Breakfast could have been better but they have other options in town. We ate at McDonald’s as the other places were too full to accommodate a group of 6.

Hot tub temp could have been a little warmer, but everything was clean. Breakfast was standard. This hotel has nice hot water for showers, which is a rarity for hotels. We look forward to coming back again.
- Tracey (2/5): - There was not any hot water from check in Thursday until sometime later Friday afternoon. I was not told or made aware of it by the front desk at check in, but by other guests who had already checked in. No apologies or attempts to make it right were made. Myself and 2 young kids had to get ready for a wedding with freezing water- very very brutal. When we walked into our room someone had clearly been sleeping on top of our sleets/ pillows- there was dirt/ crumbs on the bed with an indent of were someone clearly was. This was Thursday and we had to get to a rehearsal dinner so I didn't say anything. Also- my In laws said their rooms were dirty so I would be chancing getting a dirtier room that what we had. We didn’t die- and your only option is this hotel if you want to stay in Mora- they clearly know that. If you can choose to stay in a different town- I’d highly suggest it. …now I’m just hoping we don’t have bed bugs!

- 542drewj (2/5): bad experience with check in. faulty cards and rude clerk - showed up and was sent to my room on 2 occasions without working key card. I prompted to just be let into the room with a master key or housekeeping key after about 15 minutes (it is late and we were tired) and was told there is no such thing as she continued to mess with a faulty machine that wouldn’t program the card. eventually she reached in her pocket and gave me a master key and was told to bring it back down immediately. I had to wait 25 min before I was let in. clerk was rude too. bad experience

Everyone was pleasant, the coffee was ever flowing in the entry area, and the breakfast good. If I return to the Wardens area I will definitely try to stay here again.

We really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, just the right temperature and clean. The huge windows made us feel like we were in a mountain lodge resort while we enjoyed the warm water.

We stayed here for a funeral and the manager and staff were always friendly and helpful. It may not be a huge town if that's what you are looking for but if you are looking to relax and be treated well 100% where you should stay if you are heading to the area!

All of the staff we talked with were very nice and wanted to help however they could. Minor things: microwave on table made the table unusable. It should be moved next to the wardrobe. Lounge chair: Arms looked dirty and need to be cleaned. Breakfast: It was good with a lot of options. The waffles were really good. Would've been nice if someone checked it periodically and stocked as needed. We will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Got charged several times for my room and had to wait a week to get my deposit back. Do not stay here a total nightmare and should have gone all the way to St. Cloud but roads were terrible the day we traveled.
- Roam829319 (4/5): Not what I was hoping for. - I am not sure what to say. This is the ONLY hotel in Mora (we sstay because we have family 5 minutes away). We have been coming here off and on for years. It has slowly becoming a slimy, grimy hotel. No cleaning staff (the can not seem to keep them employeed), all of the staff were new. This seems like a manager/owner problem. The manager on deck has only been there for 4 weeks. I had to ask for fresh sheets, due to someone else's hair under the sheets, buy my own cleaning supplies. I was afraid to eat the waffles because I did not think that with this much lack of attention to the cleaning, the batter was probably moldy. Weak coffee, awful bedding, linens. pillows, etc. Everyting is just a little bit grungy around the edges. A couple of the nights we were the one of two rooms booked. Horror movie level creepy. I am hopeful that the owner can find his mojo and get this back to what it should be.

- Earl (6/5): NEVER AGAIN!!!! - I used to be a GM at a different hotel so I do expect my hotel room to be up to par when I am paying over $100 for the night and I have to say this room looked very poor to me! Comforter on the bed was wrinkled really bad, the walls were awful whoever painted the walls had no idea what they were doing at all paint was all over the tiles and shower area in the bathroom, all of the ceilings throughout the room. The battery went dead in the smoke detector and it started chirping really loud and so we called the front desk and the Front Desk Attendant came down and you can obviously tell she was sleeping at the desk and so she could not find any batteries so she told us it was hard wired so we she be fine for the night so I stopped her and told her we were not going to sleep for the rest of the night with a loud chipping shound so she went to look for a battery again and found one thank God. When we went to go outside for a smoke there was tape on the door so it wouldn't lock the door which made us feel a little unsafe. We did decide the next time we come up for the night we will be staying elsewhere. People pay decent money to stay somewhere that is safe and clean and tbat is not this hotel at all!!!

- S3846OWkatiej (2/5): One Step from a Fleabag - Between the awful smelling hallways and our room, the key entry that didn’t work, the disgusting muck in the sink, the mold on the shower head(we didn’t even use the shower it was so gross), the poorly vacuumed carpets (stuff around the edges), the worn secondhand furniture, the metal sticking out from the wall from a ripped down painting, and worst of all, someone’s dead grandpa’s recliner complete with oil stains on the headrest, the $211 one night stay was a disgrace. The response from the owner didn’t even include an apology. We were forced to stay here because we went to a wedding at a barn venue outside of Mora. I wouldn’t book that place because there’s nowhere else to stay within 40 minutes except from a few Airbnbs which the family reserved before guests had a chance to find accommodations. This hotel is for emergencies only.

- Karen (2/5): - Poor customer service! I had a room booked for 2 nights for my son. When he returned for the 2nd night his key would not work. He went to the desk and was told they assumed he’d left. They claimed his door was propped open and because he’d taken his stuff with him that he’d left. He never checked out nor did he pickup the cash deposit he’d paid. They reset his room key and when he went to the room it had been stripped. No bedding, no towels! He went back down and was handed towels and bedding and had to make his own bed! When I FINALLY was able to reach the manager who had not returned my calls she argued with me about several things. Horrible customer service! I was told she would have to speak to the owner to see if they’d do for us. I have serious doubts that the owner will care any more than the manager does!

I was in the pool less than five minutes because it was filthy and some black spots on the bottom of the pool moved when I swished my foot towards them. The hot tub was dirty and had cracks on the bottom. Unreal. Yuck. On their website, their pictures look a lot different than mine.

One concern was inadequate access to functioning electrical outlets at the bedside table for TWO CPap/BiPap machines. We needed to use our own adapter to adapt the one which worked. The very low height of the toilet was also a problem we needed to adjust to. Any remodeling needs to take toilet height into consideration.

Most of the rooms in this hotel are used by construction workers working near this area. Price was somewhat high for the quality of the hotel. It could have been a lot worse but it was Okay for a one night stay. Breakfast was the normal waffle machine and a few hot items to include sausage links and paddies.

Staff… great.. cleanliness and detail poor. Was very disappointed as we drove a few hours and paid a decent amount for the room. We stay in alot of hotels and this one was sadly the dirtiest.

- heatherkV5027JD (8/5): Spacious Accommodations - The room was clean and spacious ( bigger than a studio apartment). We would stay here again. We went down for breakfast with plenty of time to spare and there was nothing left and no staff to ask about refilling.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Just keep driving - The people were nice enough and the bed was fairly comfortable for a hotel bed and that’s the only good things I can say about this place. I have only 3 requirements that a hotel needs to meet: it needs to be clean, have hot water, have toilets that flush (honestly, a comfortable bed is just a bonus). This place stuck out on all 3. The room smelled strongly of stale smoke which was a little ironic since it was made clear upon check in that we would be charged a $250 cleaning fee if we smoked in the room. That fee may get charged but I’m not sure any actual cleaning ever gets done. The room felt damp and dingy. The carpet looked like it hadn’t had a good vacuuming in quite some time and the tub had some gross looking stains. The toilet didn’t flush completely so when we woke up in the morning, there was a strong smell of urine. The icing on the cake was there was no hot water in the morning. Not showering wasn’t an option so I had an ice cold shower. If I had this to do over again, I would have just sucked it up and driven the 4+ hours home rather than stay here.
