Ceremony on the Bay Beach, Cocktail Hour in the Courtyard and Reception back on the Bay Beach, with after party at the Dive. Thanks to the attentive staff: Kerry, CJ, Rich, Jamel, Joey, Carleen and so many others, our vision was brought to life! All the details they provided, from the romantic beach setting and decor, to the decked out golf cart, to the amazing suite for us and rooms for our guests, and of course the food and cocktails, which everyone is still raving about; our expectations were surpassed in every way imaginable. Thank you everyone for helping to create such fantastic memories. We enjoyed every aspect of our wedding weekend and you are ALL Rock Stars! Cant wait to see you next season!
Curiosity02277645090 (10/5): Perfect Indian Summer Weekend at The Palms! - We booked a last-minute anniversary/family getaway to Fire Island for a long weekend in early October, and we are so glad we chose The Palms Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. A big thank you to Joe, his wife, and CJ, who went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and seamless. Their hospitality made a great trip even better. The location is ideal — just a short walk from the ferry, restaurants, shops, and the bay. The beach was also very accessible, and the staff made it extra convenient by preparing a wagon for us daily with chairs, towels, an umbrella, and cold water — such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. We especially loved starting our mornings with a ride around the island on the complimentary bikes provided by the hotel. The grounds were beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, and our suite was both spacious and cozy. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the property was clean and well-maintained throughout. This trip was exactly what we needed — a peaceful, easy, and fun escape. We’re already looking forward to our next stay at The Palms!
S346VMmarcs (10/5): The gem of Ocean beach - This was our third time staying at the Palm Hotel. We will not stay anywhere else on Ocean Beach. First and foremost, the hospitality is top notch. The staff could not be nicer and more inviting. After a short ferry ride you feel like you’re on vacation immediately upon arrival. They have a text message service so you can easily communicate with the staff about meeting you at the ferry for assistance with your bags or any questions you may have. There are several locations depending on your requirements and all are close to the ferry , town and beach. The rooms are clean and updated. A wagon, beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach chairs and bottled water as well as bicycles are available free of charge. Included breakfasts and discounts to local stores/eateries are added bonuses. There is also a private beach for guests to enjoy. A review would not be complete without mentioning Joe, one of the owners of the Palms. He has made our stays so much better and has gone out of his way to be accommodating. For example , last summer I needed to cut our reservation short at the last minute due to an unexpected surgery, he was willing to quickly give us a credit towards a future stay. His first priority is to make his guests feel welcome and relaxed. I cannot say enough good things about every aspect of the Palms Hotel. Staying here on your trip to Ocean Beach will be an added bonus all around.

V3782AYlaurenr (6/5): You get what you pay for - In a nutshell, you get what you pay for. The hotel was just okay. On the plus side, they have all the things you need to enjoy the beach and rental was seamless (chairs, umbrellas, wagons, towels etc). Cookies and champagne (complementary) each day was a nice surprise. On the downside, walls are paper thin and quiet hours were not well enforced. Because the doors are old, you have to pull them shut super hard to close them and we were repeatedly jerking awake from hearing doors slam. Housekeeping also left our door ajar day one, assuming because they did not shut it hard enough, which left us feeling a little unsafe. Luckily nothing went missing because the room was open at least three hours. The hotel had lots of mosquitos and our legs look like we went camping. We got smarter at the end of the stay and started shoving towels under the doors to prevent all the mosquitoes from coming in. The rooms were not very well cleaned, we noticed a lot of sand in the sheets the day we arrived. The complementary breakfast was at a sports bar a few blocks away and consisted of cold pancakes and bagels. The private beach area was also a few blocks away and was a few couches in front of the marina (no ability to get into the water). It smelled bad and was poorly maintained so we spent no time there. The hotel was also having a sewage issue so the entire back patio was closed the whole weekend and the first floor smelled really foul.
geez2019 (10/5): Couldn’t have asked for a better Labor day weekend getaway - I cannot thank the staff and managers enough for how amazing and clean this hotel was. We visited Fire Island for the first time over Labor Day weekend, and they made it 100% worthwhile. Even though we didn’t stay a full 2 nights, we were given 50% off our second night since we had to leave early for school the next day—a gesture we really appreciated. From start to finish, the service was outstanding. Paul met us at the ferry with a cart to help carry our belongings, had our rooms ready early so we could enjoy the beach all day Saturday, and even set us up with chairs, umbrellas, and towels on a wagon. His work ethic and professionalism truly stood out—early the next morning I saw him cleaning windows and preparing the grounds before most guests were awake. It’s rare to see that kind of dedication, and it left a lasting impression. We stayed in the Coral Suite, which was perfect for our group of nine—comfortable, spacious, and homey. While we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast at CJ’s restaurant, our room was cleaned and refreshed with fresh towels, making it so easy to start our day. Later, we requested bikes for the kids and adults, and both Paul and CJ went above and beyond to accommodate us. CJ especially made my 9-year-old feel included by kindly encouraging him to ride a smaller bike with training wheels, turning what could’ve been a disappointment into a highlight of the trip. Another unique touch was the daily 2–4 PM champagne and freshly baked cookies—such a charming detail that set this hotel apart. Every request, from more beach towels to luggage help at checkout, was met with a smile and genuine care. I would like to sincerely thank all the staff and managers for their hard work and effort in making us feel like family. Our four kids had a blast, the adults felt completely taken care of, and we left with memories we’ll cherish. We will definitely be coming back every year!
M2387EXirisd (10/5): Quiet, clean, and Xpretty hotel with great amenities! - My friend and I stayed at The Palms for two nights; last Sunday and Monday night. We had a wonderful time. It was so relaxing. The weather couldn’t have been better. We came at a great time. It was the perfect getaway. The room was very quiet, clean, comfortable and a convenient spot to all. We were so excited to have the complimentary champagne and chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon - which was absolutely delicious! Our stay included a nice, hot breakfast. We loved Pat at the front desk. She was so friendly and very accommodating. Also, the students that worked there were so kind and helpful. The owners were so nice and took great care of us to make sure our stay went smoothly. They did a great job making accommodations for us. We had such a great, fun and lovely time. We will definitely be back next year!

Kaitlin (4/5): - Outside bay area was nice but the service was terrible. To start we checked in at 11 on Friday, was told we would get a text when the room was ready and we did not. Ended up getting our room keys at 6pm if it wasn't for us calling and asking. The next morning we asked for new towels and nothing was brought to our room. Sand everywhere on the floor when we first got in. The building seems old and simply not kept nice. 2 beds were squeezed in a room thats a size that fits 1. Not a great experience and it was a pricy stay so was expecting more than what we got.

It could not have been better. Joe was wonderful with every question I had. He also helped arrange a catered dinner for Saturday evening in the courtyard. The staff could not have been more accommodating. It was a truly wonderful experience and we and our friends hope to do another weekend together in the future

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond — genuinely attentive, friendly, and ready to make our stay special. The rooms were incredibly spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Every detail felt thoughtful, and the 2 PM toast and cookies quickly became one of our favorite daily traditions. It was such a charming touch that made us feel instantly at home. The amenities made enjoying the beach effortless — everything we needed was right at our fingertips. And with shops and restaurants just steps away, we were able to explore and indulge without ever worrying about transportation. Our stay was relaxing, fun, and full of wonderful memories. The Palms is truly a gem, and we’re already talking about coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate, recharge, and enjoy the best of Fire Island!

Staff were incredibly helpful and kind, carrying and storing our luggage and always offering us more water to drink. They had quality beach gear and wagons to carry it in. The private beach was on the bay side, right outside our room. The staff brought us delicious cocktails and offered us more towels and water. Will definitely come back!

The room was clean, spacious, and in the perfect location — just steps from the beach, shops, and restaurants. What really made our trip so special was the staff. Everyone we encountered, from the maintenance guy to the front desk at check-in and the lovely woman who helped us check out, was warm, friendly, and welcoming. Their hospitality made us feel right at home, and we can’t wait to come back!

CJ picked us up at the ferry and was so sweet and helpful every day! The entire staff goes above and beyond, everyone is so friendly. The amenities make it even more special; getting a wagon filled with beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and waters, using the bicycles, the breakfast, food and drinks, and especially the champagne happy hour every day! anthonybL4520TZ (10/5): The only place we will stay moving forward - Staff was amazing and helpful, we stayed in main, room was on the small side but all we need was a bed and bathroom. Room was cold no smell of that island mildew you get at summer places. Nice hot shower and great water pressure. Chairs, umbrellas, towels water and ice for the beach along with bikes and a lock. They have BBQ you can use and they other buildings you can use the property staffed. Hopefully can get back this season but will be there next if we don't.
emstraveler349 (6/5): Not Bad, not Good - I’ll agree with a lot of the lower reviewers and the money doesn’t support what is provided - however FI is expensive so it comes with the territory. Staff was nice and helpful. I got eaten alive by mosquitos in the room, part Fire Island part the rooms fault as there were gaps by the old AC unit. Bathroom door didn’t close. Right as you open the room door which also didn’t close without slamming it, you hit your bed. The breakfast at CJs the next day was 25 minutes late and had hair in the food so we left. All in all for the hotels on Fire Island it’s probably the best but don’t expect much.
casasmt (10/5): Tidal Suite - The Palms Hotel Fire Island - My wife Suzi and I (a.k.a S&M) have enjoyed visiting Fire Island for day trips, but it has always been on my bucket list to spend the weekend. After researching options and accommodations, we settled on The Palms Hotel for our first FI weekend. We opted to invest in an elevated experience so we elected to upgrade to the Tidal Suite. The hotel is located at a great location overlooking the sound. The view from the suite's private deck was great and the sunsets were very romantic. The master bedroom featured a large comfortable bed, ceiling fan, air conditioning, and a spacious closet. The linens and pillows were comfortable and so was the bed. The bedroom met all our vacation comfort requirements. The bathroom featured a full-size shower, standard toilet and appropriate sized sink. The bathroom was stocked with toiletries, a hair dryer, and plenty of towels. The great room featured two full-sized beds, ceiling fan, air conditioning, and full kitchen to include a full-sized refrigerator and freezer. The suite didn't have a dishwasher, but it was just my wife and I so washing 2 wine glasses wasn't difficult. The suite had a television, but we were on FI and had no intention of turning it on. We brought a waterproof sound speaker with us so to be able to listen to music while sipping wine on the private deck enjoying the sunsets. In all, the suite provided the perfect ambiance for us and met all our expectations. The staff were polite, prompt, and professional. They exceeded our expectations and provided excellent service quality throughout our weekend. From greeting us at the ferry terminal with a wagon to transport our luggage to our room, to the champagne and cookies at check in... there were no shortage of smiles, superior service, and genuine hospitality excellence. We would definitely stay at The Palms Hotel Fire Island again. We'd like to send our deep and heartfelt appreciation to the entire Palms Hotel staff, management, and ownership for creating a romantic weekend filled with a series of new Moment's That Matter! Thank you.

The hotel was beautiful and clean, and the cabin was very spacious. Pat, Kerry and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful. My kids loved the fresh homemade cookies each afternoon and the continental breakfast at CJ's was delicious. Being able to use The Palms bikes, wagons, beach chairs and towels made our trip a breeze. We can't wait to come back again soon!

The location is perfect, beach chairs and bikes were refreshed with new ones this year, and the room is nice and clean. The breakfast is at CJs, (I do miss the Greek yogurts from years past though) and the staff is friendly and accommodating. We will return in June next year as always!

kimberlysJ826JL (10/5): Excellent customer service - My 13 y/o daughter and I stayed in ajoining rooms in the main hotel yesterday, June 2025. The rooms were updated, everything was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, sheets were soft and the staff was friendly. Their chocolate chip cookies tasted better than Rachels Bakery (sorry Rachel). We had poor weather so the beach wasn't and bay area wasn't an option. We were expecting poor weather for the next two days so I thought it was worth a shot to request to reschedule our trip on another day. To my surprise the owner Joe graciously honored my request. He also gave us a larger room with a view overlooking the bay because he wanted us to enjoy our experience. He is the epitome of what excellent customer service looks likes. Although the weather dampened this trip we are looking forward to creating memories in their lounge areas in a few weeks. Now that my daughter is a lil older and we can easily take a 1-3 night trip, the Palms will always be my go to hotel. Thank you, Kim

The staff was terrific and went beyond what you would expect. Due to my husband’s disability and the weather not being good they delivered our free breakfast to our room. Every possible request we made was filled.
jendvs (2/5): Zero thoughtful details - Wow, high price for sub standard room . The bayside efficiency was very small and stuffy, with zero thoughtful details that one would expect when paying these prices. Although there is a window to see the bay, you can not open it even a little. The other window in the room was so broken that if you did open it, the sash came crashing down. Considered putting something underneath to prop it open, decided against that idea because screen was totally broken. But worse was turning on the air conditioner (not because we needed to be cooler, it was just so stuffy in there ) it sounded like a freight train in the room. Like hard to really have a conversation with my friend kind of loud. Cycled on and off all night making it difficult to stay asleep. TV with broken bracket mounted on the wall, facing the opposite wall, so you would have to turn your head at least 90 degrees to the left to see from the bed. The bathroom was dark and tiny and when you turn on the light, another roaring fan like an assault comes on making it really unpleasant to stay in there. We brushed our teeth in the dark. One good thing was the water pressure in the shower, very satisfying. But no shelf or anywhere to put shampoos or soap when showering. I've never been in a place that has a refrigerator and a microwave, but no way to make coffee/tea in the room. For a beach place, strange that there is nowhere to hang wet things to dry either in the room or outside. Bay beach area was a mess, plastic bags, garbage bags, wet towels strewn around, I took pictures but will spare everyone from posting. The young support staff were delightful, so helpful. It is the beginning of the season and I hope they don't get worn down. I would advise them not to ask "did you enjoy your stay at The Palms? " when checking us out.
gabrielleorefici (10/5): A Perfect Bachelorette Getaway at The Palms! - I stayed at The Palms Hotel in Ocean Beach for my friend’s bachelorette weekend, and we could not have asked for a better experience. We stayed in one of the cottages, and from start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrated. From the complimentary bottle of champagne to the thoughtful photo op they set up for us, every detail felt personal and intentional. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the team was always attentive without being overbearing. They truly made the bride feel special—which, let’s be honest, is the whole point! Another huge perk: The Palms is fully stocked with everything you need for the beach—towels, chairs, umbrellas, even bikes. It made traveling light a breeze and let us fully enjoy the Fire Island experience without the stress of overpacking. The bride (and all of us) would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend for group getaways or anyone looking for an easy, elevated beach stay!

Kerry Weldon, the manager of the hotel could not have been more accommodating. We had a large group and she took the time to treat every single guest as a VIP. The owner of the hotel also went out of her way to make sure that we had an unforgettable weekend. I would highly recommend the Palms Hotel in Ocean Beach for your next destination.
paritas2019 (10/5): My favorite place on Fire Island - I’ve been coming to The Palms Hotel on Fire Island for over 15 years, and they never let me down! From the moment you arrive, it’s clear they’ve thought of everything to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. For starters, the free breakfast every morning is a great way to start the day. They also offer fruits, cookies, and champagne in the evenings, so you can always enjoy a little bubbly. Plus, the lounge chairs outside are perfect for soaking up the sun or just relaxing with a good book. One of the best parts of staying here is the personalized service. When you arrive by ferry, they pick you up in a wagon and whisk you away to the hotel, steps awat, so you don’t have to worry about carrying your luggage. You even get a wagon full of beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and water – everything you need for a day at the beach. And if you want to explore more of the island, you can take out one of their bikes! Speaking of the beach, their private beach is one of my favorite spots. Picture yourself floating in the bay while they bring you drinks – it’s pure paradise. The hotel even offers a great discount at CJ’s for rocket fuels, which is the perfect refresher after a fun day out. It is walkable to all the bars and restaurants in Ocean Beach so you don't have to worry about getting back to your bed. The Palms Hotel is my go-to spot on Fire Island, and after over 15 years of visits, I can honestly say it’s an experience that never gets old. Highly recommend!
Amy (10/5): - Gave an extended weekend trip to my sister and brother in law for their 59th birthdays. They had an amazing relaxing time. They are repeat visitors at the Palms because it is second to none on Ocean Beach. Bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas provided making it stress free. Staff is always accommodating including assisting with luggage at the dock. They took their own boat and the staff still met them and assisted. They had one glitch, the AC in their room suddenly went out (which is unfortunate but it happens). With no stress, they were moved to a cottage which was a substantial upgrade. Management is all about customer service. Highly recommend a stay.

The schedule could have been just a little better planned to leave time for breakfast around the events. But the events were nice and worth attending. The room was small but it was really charming. It was right in front on the walkway. Idk what that would be like in the height of summer but it felt like very 1800s in the slight off season. Room very clean and the staff was nice. Sergio at the private beach was above and beyond…. Setting up umbrella, making sure we had water, taking pic. Really nice guy

911gsg (10/5): Only Place to Stay in Ocean Beach, Fire Island - I have been a guest at The Palms Hotel for over two decades and this summer was by far the best experience I've ever had. I stayed there on two different occasions. Both times the service was absolutely amazing. Keri, who has been at The Palms for as long as I can remember, probably more than 20 years, is accommodating, friendly, and just the best. She, along with Pat, Isabella, and many others, make you feel that the hotel is your home. Any request I had was immediately taken care of. Owners Joe and Carleen really have turned this hotel into the only place to stay in Ocean Beach. Their staff is well-trained and friendly. I absolutely love the recent changes they have made at the hotel. Many rooms have been updated with new couches in most suites and new air conditioning units. I used their bicycles each day and was thrilled they bought all new equipment for the beach including umbrellas, chairs, and wagons. I totally took advantage of the complimentary champagne each afternoon in the renovated lobby and complimentary breakfast at the restaurant across the street. Rocco works so hard at the restaurant making sure everyone gets their food exactly as they ordered it. One time I had poached eggs with toast, bacon and potatoes. Another time I indulged in the French toast because it just looked so good I couldn't resist. It was totally worth it! Upon checking in, you receive a card that gives you 10% off at all the affiliated establishments in Ocean Beach. This includes ice cream stores, restaurants/bars, and markets. One night I went into Scoops to get my favorite flavor ice cream, Peanut Butter Twist, and Yamoosh (spelling is probably wrong) was working behind the counter. She recognized me and said with a grin on her face, "Aren't you staying at The Palms?" We laughed together because she was the person who met me at the Ferry to help cart my belongings to the hotel. We chatted the entire way because I am always interested in meeting people, especially from other countries. She asked me that question because she wanted to remind me to use my card to get 10% off my purchase. I would have totally forgotten to use it if it weren't for her! So cute! As the title of this review states...The Palms Hotel is the only place to stay in Ocean Beach. I can't wait to go back next summer.

792stacyl (10/5): Excellent getaway - Just got back from The Palms hotel and I just loved it!! This place is a gem on the island. You can only rent houses for a week, so if you need a few days away, this is your place. It’s reasonable. The staff is courteous and helpful. It’s spotless! The linens are clean and they feel luxurious. AND you have access to bikes!l I would highly recommend!

I was moved to another room and all good. Staff was amazing, felt more like friends . I would definitely come back and I would refer them to friends. The ease of getting to and from the ferry was awesome! Check in/ out was great! Very accommodating and genuine.

Donna (10/5): Worry free too notch stay - We booked a last minute girls weekend over labor day. The Palms at Fire Island providesd a beautiful experience! Our room was ready upon check-in, 3 hours early! The hotel kept in contact with us via text the entire experience, towels, bikes ,beach accessories, water, whatever we needed was immediate attended to. Hotel was clean, we had a large courtyard with plenty of seating and a plentiful breakfast! Security was top notch. People stated rooms were small on other reviews but we had no issue at all. Room was as expected . Room was high priced but that is as expected for Palms property and the staff and amenities did not disappoint!!

Joseph (2/5): HIGHWAY ROBBERY - From beginning to end, their entire approach is focused on convenience for hotel and not the customer. No one can access the rooms before 4:30pm even if they are ready! Staff is rude. Forgot to give us lock for trolly, towels and beach equipment. The King size room was tiny. Air conditioner was SO LOUD…we had to turn off because it was too loud. Room was dirty but they tried to cover it up with a very gross citrus scent that is sprayed all over. Breakfast doesn't start until 8:30 am and at that time, they are sending you a text message telling you you need to vacate the room by 1lam. Notwithstanding that the next ferry is at 12:10pm. Whole experience was awful. It's expensive also and not worth it in any way, shape or form. This Hotel is a miss for sure!!!! BTW I have a broken femur and a service dog and notwithstanding all that they gave us BY THEIR OWN ADMISSION the smallest King they had - notwithstanding my point of comfort being key in my situation -

Peter (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE - IT'S A RIP OFF AND POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE. I'm traveling a lot and this was my worst hotel experience ever. To enter or leave the hotel we needed to wade through a ankle deep puddle of canal water (yes, you read that right). The hotel didn't notify us about this in advance and didn't do anything to resolve the situation. In addition the rooms were so tiny that we could hardly open up our suitcases. On top of that rooms were dirty with hairs in the leaking sink and smelly blankets, we woke up covered by mosquito bites and the "great view" that was advertised was to a dark wall that was only two feet away from the windows. They were also freezing cold and we weren't able to regulate the AC. As if that wasn't enough the rooms were super noisy. We woke up every time when someone was walking in the corridor and constantly heard noises from the reception. Due to the backyard being flooded we needed to take our breakfast while standing in the reception. The food quality at breakfast was also quite poor - the watermelon was rotten Positive reviews are fake - the hotel promises benefits in case you leave a positive review. The whole place is a scam - do not go there.

Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels and wagons at your convenience. You are able to leave your bags at concierge after you checked out, so don't have to rush from the island or carry bags with you.

As seen on the website I booked the room on, the amenities included 2 Kings and 2 Doubles, however, what we got were 3 doubles and a pull out couch. When we tried to use the pull out, there were no sheets to put on it and the mattress itself was filthy with dirt. The dishes available to us to use in the small kitchenette were dirty as well, and there were bugs in the utensil drawer. There was also only one bathroom to share between 8, which is near impossible. Housekeeping never made our beds, they would simply just drop off towels and take out garbage. We did enjoy the private area at the back of the hotel, and the staff members were super sweet, but the room itself was highly disappointing.
Verified traveler (8/5): - We stayed at the Palms Bungalow building and had a very nice stay. Just be aware that the rooms are quite small (typical of a FI or NYC hotel room). Only a few feet on the outside of the king bed for walking space. It would be impossible to eat in the room without eating on the bed. Beyond that, The room and hotel itself is clean, we loved access to the bikes, staff is friendly and helpful, especially Amy at the Bay Bar. Would definitely stay again but in a larger suite.
Verified traveler (4/5): - Check -in was at 4:30pm yet our rooms were not ready until almost 6pm. The general manager/owner , Laura was absolutely unconcerned, aloof and unapologetic about the situation when i mentioned it to her. Keycards constantly didnt work. Breakfast was only readily available on the first day because they were guests staying at one of the cottages. When they checked out, it appeared that the rest of us guests staying in what they call "mini or junior suites" (which is quite deceiving as these room are so small and no sitting area, simply 2 rooms with an adjoining door) there was no breakfast unless you went hunting for a hotel staff to scrunch together a couple muffins and coffee. The hotel manager only appears to care about guests who stay in the overpriced bungalows and cottages. If you stay in a regular room she has the most demeaning/ cold attitude. There was constant banging of doors and what appeared to be the sound of moving of furniture while we were in our rooms. Thankfully we didnt spend alot of time in our room. i received an email from the Palms asking for feedback which i sent weeks ago and never received a reply or apology for the myriad of issues that were problematic during our 4 day stay (wifi didnt work, shower in my mum's room didnt work on the first day, key card issue almost everyday). Unfortunately the GM is also the owner so there is no recourse in addressing her lack of ability to make EVERYONE staying at the hotel feel appreciated and welcomed.

We understand hotel is there to make money but they should not have rented the surrounding rooms out when it was going to be like this you pay a premium price but could not be in the room even for a quick nap

At 10:45 Sunday there were 4 parties on line waiting to check out but NO ONE was at front desk. This same manager finally showed up at 11:05 with the same rude attitude as previous day. Unacceptable, but kudos to Dan (or Don?) from outside bag check etc., who tried to help out at desk. ( Note to owners: he seems like better manager material.)

Verified traveler (6/5): Small Quarters! - It's a good idea to find out the size of the room you are booking. Ours was approximately 8x7 (no kidding), so after a twin bed is factored in to the floor space, there is very little room to move around or stow luggage. From the foot of the bed to the outside wall, there was less than 18", and the other direction no more than the width of the door into the room.

Verified traveler (8/5): - Let me preface this review by saying I have lived in Manhattan for the last decade so I am VERY used to small spaces. But the room we stayed in was absurdly and unacceptably small. I came for a girls weekend (all of us aged 30) and we had 4 of us in 2 queen/full beds. The room actually consisted of 2 rooms with a sliding door in the center. Each room was so small that I could stand in the middle of the room with my arms extended and nearly touch all the walls. I could deal with that (as I said I’m a New Yorker and we were barely spending any time in our room) if it wasn’t for the fact that the rooms weren’t exactly the cleanest. When we arrived sand was covering the floors, there were stains on the headboards and under the bed was just plain gross. That being said, the beds were comfortable and the staff was so extremely nice (although it’s made of of mostly teenagers who didn’t know what to do, but it was endearing). The hotel was something we would deal with although for $600/night it’s the worst value I’ve ever gotten. Just absurd. Should be priced at $150/night and then at least you get what you pay for. The saving grace of this hotel was the private Bay Beach. While super tiny, it had a lovely view of the harbor, super comfortable chaise lounges and floats in the water where we spent most of our time, sipping on rocket fuels. And of course there’s Chuck. He runs this place and is THE nicest guy in the entire world. His service is incredible. He made it worth it.
