Guest Reviews
A suite master é bem espaçosa e a cama é confortável.

- Herbert (9/5): A perfect blend of charm, comfort and personalized service made our stay unforgettable. - My stay at Las Palmas Hotel Boutique was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm smiles and truly personalized attention that made me feel like I had known the staff for years. Gloria, the team leader, sets the tone with her kind and professional demeanor, ensuring every detail is taken care of. Marcela wears many hats—waitress, janitor, and kitchen assistant—and does it all with an incredible attitude and heartfelt dedication. And Chef Leo is a true talent, delighting us with delicious meals crafted with care and creativity. The entire team goes above and beyond, offering service that is not only customer-oriented but genuinely human. I left feeling deeply grateful and will definitely return. If I had to mention one small area for improvement, it would be the room keeping, which could have been a bit more thorough.
- Marek (9/5): -
- Matt (10/5): -
- Anchise (7/5): -
- Jose Roberto (10/5): Totally recommend! - Fantastic stay, especially if you want a place far from the city centre chaos. We rented a boogie but the local bus stops in front of the hotel. Facilities are great, such a bucolic place to relax and enjoy after a beach day. Chef Leonardo's food is a BIG highlight - we had amazing dinners that made a huge difference in our experience. Don't leave without trying one of his dishes. Nothing major. Shower didn't have any pressure but it didn't disturb our experience.
- Yannick (5/5): - We loved the location, it is very quiet and far away from all the hustle and bustle. Great pool! Most options in the menu were not available and the interior of the Junior Suite definitely needs to be restored.
- JC Mena (10/5): Amazing stay—great food, friendly staff, and a peaceful, beautiful place to relax in San Andrés. - Staying at Casa Las Palmas Hotel Boutique was an excellent decision. The location is peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained—definitely a 10/10.
The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure you’re comfortable and treating you with kindness. The pool is spectacular—perfect for a swim after a day at the beach.
We stayed in a room on the second floor of the main house. It was lovely, very clean, and had a great view of the trees and pool through the window. A very cozy and peaceful atmosphere.
The food was outstanding. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, especially with Chef Leo—every dish was a delight. We loved the paella, pasta, and soups, all made with local ingredients.
We definitely want to return to San Andrés, and especially to Casa Las Palmas Hotel Boutique. Highly recommended!
- Ximena (9/5): -
- Felipe (10/5): An oasis on the island - Everything. Amazing pool, comfortable room with strong AC, the restaurant is probably the best on the island. Nothing
- Poppy (8/5): Very good -
- W4188TUesters (10/5): This facility fit perfectly for my family - We came to attend & help decorate for a family destination wedding. We paid for all of the ten rooms so that we can have the hotel to just my family and members attending my nephew's wedding. Out of ten rooms my family used seven rooms & two were for my nephew's friends from Texas. It was perfect. We needed space to make flower leis, lei po'o & flower arrangements. This place had plenty of space for us to use. TY to the owner Gloria & her staff for greeting us when we arrived with cocktails & home made pizza. My primary room was spacious, comfy, had wifi, tv, huge shower & a/c. No complaints. The pool was perfect temperature in the month of March. We played our traveling boom-box Plus daily body massages by Mari @ poolside. There were 13 in my family & we kept Mari busy. Winston the taxi driver/gardener was helpful in picking us up & returned us to the airport. The kitchen staff, chef in pm&am are ever so kind. Made sure we get our morning breakfast (included in the price) & checked in with us if we will have dinner on the premises. Maria (front desk receptionist) wears many hats too...she was our life-saver. She solved any questions we had & let us cut any flowers/leaves on the premises needed for the wedding. The Staff were beyond wonderful, helpful, courteous & sweet as can be. They were so patient with my crew especially to my senior parents. heads up: It is quiet at night time & morning. My family were the 'loud' ones ;) If you want some action you will need to drive 20 min to the next big hotel or 30 min back to downtown/airport area. BUT, we will return to the island & we plan to stay here again.
- Ade (8/5): Very good - A beautiful but dated hotel which is in need of some TLC. Despite the minor flaws and lack of coffee making facilities, intermittent wifi and no working TV despite raising the issues on Day 1of 7 I cannot fault the staff.
- William (9/5): Muy tranquilo - Beautiful room and hotel. Staff very friendly and great food and drink!
- Robert (10/5): Truly wonderful place to spend two weeks relaxing. - The location, style and tasteful and interesting decoration of the hotel is remarkable. The pool is first rate. The staff are outstanding. Leo and Martha provided first rate cuisine for the evening meal. Really outstanding. Literally nothing
- Cauê (5/5): Great hotel, but the master suite is not worth it. - The hotel is wonderful, and so is the staff. You'll eat better at this hotel than in most restaurants at the island! I traveled with my wife for the first time alone since our kids were born. We were looking for a "second honey-moon", so we booked the master suite. Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant surprise when I discovered the bathtub simply didn't work. The tub was the primary reason why we booked the master suite in the first place.
- Diana (8/5): Very good -
- priscilamA9209LT (2/5): Worst Hotel ever - Do not believe in the beautiful pictures. This hotel is terrible. No infrastructure at all. They booked me a room that the air conditioning did not work. The outside bath was completely filthy, impossible to use. The place did not even has a restaurant you can eat. In the end, I decided to get reimbursed cause it was impossible to stay in a room without air conditioning, I had to move to another hotel. Don’t waste your time and money there
- Jasmine (9/5): Superb - The staff is exceptionally helpful. The chef makes amazing food. Order the paella ahead of your stay. The pool is luxurious and clean. I chose this place because it was out of the way from tourists and loudness. We only stayed one night before departing to Providencia. The staff allowed us to store our extra luggage so we didn't have to bring everything to Providencia. The only thing I would mention is that there were a ton of giant millipede. Not a reflection of the establishment, just an FYI. You're in a tropical jungle expect bugs.
- Monica (9/5): Superb - Very quiet, comfortable, relaxing place
We had the chance to be there in a rather quiet period with just another couple of guests and we loved it. Service is excellent and there’s a chef available every night for dinner. The house has a lovely swimming pool and is 5 min far away from the beach. There’s not much around, you need to get a car or scooter to reach the nicest beaches or restaurants.
- Eric (10/5): Great value, and friendly service. - The serene location, it is quite and close to a beautiful beach
The service was great and I enjoyed the food. Nothing
- Rick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (8/5): Peaceful lovely place! - Beautiful location away from the madness of San Andres main town. Pool area is beautiful and Leo our friend the Chef... Wow! Fabulous meals every night, better than any of the restaurants in the town. The bathroom has been done to a high standard but seems like a long time ago so could to with freshening up, especially the bath area and above.
After breakfast and before dinner no food or drink facilities are provided so always need to keep your own stock, which is fine.
Also the plastic sunbeds would be much nicer if they had a cushion on them like the chairs do.
- Krisztina (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (3/5): nice looking place; but the staff steals valuables - nice location; nice house the staff is stealing; they stole my cash; and then one day later my watch disappeared
- juanfernand0e (10/5): Nice and quiet in San Andrés - The hotel is located in the south of the island, not too far from the San Luis beaches. It's a luxury private home transformed in a hotel, which means that it's quiet at night, perfect for resting and for families with children. The rooms are big, each having two to three beds, and are cleaned every day. Each room has a modern AC unit and a smart TV connected to the Internet, which is also optimal to entertain children at night. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and help guests to arrange taxi services in modern cars, and with honest and friendly drivers (which is not a given in the island). Breakfast is included and cooked by the chef Leo, which makes mean rices and sauteed seafood for dinner, not to mention the homemade pizzas. This is a family run place, and the owner lives on the premises, and they are ready to help guests in every aspect of their stay. This is a guaranteed recommendation for people looking to stay on the island without the hustle of the city center. A special mention to the owner's beach restaurant "capi beach", which offers great "fruta de pan" and it's located on a beach without people bothering you every two seconds trying to sell something.
- Dario (8/5): A place to rest - The Staff was amazing. Helena at the reception was extremely helpful, Leonardo in the kitchen is an amazing cook, and Mary the masseur was also great. The hotel staff makes guest feel at home. Food was great, the hotel is very quiet, and is close to some beautiful beaches. Don't forget to ask about renting a motorcycle or a bike. There are a lot of mosquitos in the area. The rooms are very warm and don't have nets for the windows, so the is no chance of opening them at night. However, the AC is the solution for all that. They don't offer lunch, so you need to pack your own food or eat outside.
- Marley (10/5): Perfect to come back - The place is beautiful, full of details and in a nace neighborhood where you are not closer to the center but the view and peace is perfect Everything was great
- Khalid (7/5): Good place - I liked alot the room, it's very comfortable and very quiet and relaxing place to stay.
I loved the chef, he is the best. One of the kindest person I met there at the island. I didn't like that the hotel its very far away from the center of the city, u need around 30 minutes with the Taxi and its expensive.
I didn't like that the hotel have not so much activities to do or to make.
- Joshua (10/5): Incredible, comfortable, beautiful, and friendly experience. - The property is huge, the pool is warm. The bathroom is great and the water gets hot so that’s definitely a plus. The room has a air conditioner. There’s a chef for all the meals who makes the most delicious food. The staff are the most friendly people we’ve met. We were able to rent a scooter from one of the women who run the property (I’d recommend asking a few days or weeks in advance) do your self a favor and skip a car rental because parking anywhere is a task. Can’t wait to visit again! There’s nothing about this property to dislike.
- Guillaume (10/5): Exceptional - The house is great, nice decoration, huge swimming pool, the landlord was very nice with us, helped for the reservation, renting a scooter, dropping us in the center or airport. There is a service of restauration in the night that can be usefull as there is not a lot of restaurant around the place. The place is peaceful. The location of the house is accessible by bus in 30mn (bus stop from the house at 10mn walking), the main touristic attractions on the island are more in the north, renting a motorbike or small car is better/needed, it is also part of the experience on the island.
- Julie (10/5): We would definitely come back to this paradise! - Beautiful, peaceful place, amazing swimming pool. Leo, the singing kitchen chef, makes delicious food. Also the cocktails were great!
Huge room with very nice terrace.
We had a wonderful stay! Not important to us but might be important to others: the bathroom looks very fancy but in the end only the normal shower function works.
The big windows in the room
could use a clean.
- Shaunise (10/5): I really enjoy the stay here, the Hospitality was amazing - The nature and pool. Fresh fruit trees. Its far from the center, however good if you want more of a Tranquil quiet experience.
- Kimberly (10/5): Feels like home. - The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The foos was delicious and the facility was beautiful and comfortable I do not have anything that I dislike
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (9/5): Superb -
- Josh (4/5): Beautiful place. But don’t waste your time until - It’s a nice house with upgraded atmosphere The management doesn’t listen. They are 30 minutes from anywhere and this means even needing a simple thing like a toothbrush, menstrual pads or a bag of chips would be a smart business move to offer on hand as a taxi cab is a 30 Minute wait. Even selling for more than anywhere else still saves the cost of the taxi and the wait. But they offer nothing. Messages to management go unanswered or not even acknowledged. The chef is a very nice fellow but even he seems to have his hands tied serving frozen seafood when they walking distance from the sea.
- George (10/5): Head Chef paid great attention to detail - beautiful and well taken care of
- Fernando (9/5): Superb -
- Malcom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Tranquil and luxurious for budget price - Fantastic service, great food from a passionate and talented chef and the place is great if you want some peace and seclusion. The bed was huge and comfy, and the place was very spacious and chilled. The road in is being laid so hard to drive down on a scooter, and the scooter we got from someone they recommended was a little temperamental and the smart TV isn’t so smart, but nothing that took anything away from all the upsides of this place.
- David (10/5): - The road was being worked on so it was a little difficult to access but at no fault to the owners. Overall, it was a beautiful and magical place! Would love to go back again.
- Hendrick (10/5): amazing staff, food and room. - staff was exceptionally kind and generous. the bedroom was super elegant and the decorations were great. the owner is really nice too. it was kinda far from downtown
- Your (10/5): Our home away from home! Best hotel on the island! - I cannot say enough amazing things about Casa Las Palmas. This was our second time staying here and it was even better this time! The staff is beyond incredible, they are so kind and accommodating. The hotel manager even remembered my birthday from last year!!
The rooms are gorgeous, the grounds are wonderfully kept, and we fall more in love with this hotel every time.
The chef Leo is a true artist. He takes pride in his cooking. His energy is infectious and the love shines through in his food.
This hotel is such a gem. It truly is our San Andres home away from home! Thank you to everyone!
- Dmitry (10/5): Exceptional - Chef Leo is outstanding, Michelin quality service
- Jonathan (8/5): Beautiful, but remote - Nice room with jacuzzi
Beautiful and relaxing surrounding
The chef was bilingual and was exceptionaly nice and helpful The wifi was at times not working
Didn't pay attention when booking the hotel, but it was far from the city center
- Santiago (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (7/5): Mayeb next time - The surroundings really looked great, staff seemed very helpful. We came in on an early flight, so it sucked that we had to wait till 3 pm to be able to access the rooms, even when we wrote in advance about our itinirary.
Unfortunately it was wasnt as close to the beach as we thought it was , so that was a downer.
I'd try again based on the helpfulness of the staff as well as knowing it would be a good place to rest and relax.
- Oscar (10/5): great place to stay - everything, great place to stay.
- Gerardo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fernando (2/5): - Check was done incorrectly and staff knocked on door with multiple people trying to kick me out and call police cause of the error they made . Waking me up at night . Horrible late night staff
- Richard (10/5): Our stay was magical and amazing! Everyone from the hotel admistration staff - Eliana, to Chef Leo and owner Gloria, eve - Everything! Never in my 30+ years have. been to such a special , magical and beautiful boutique hotel such as Casa De Las Palmas. The owner Gloria and her late Husband built a elegant palace that spared nothing to shine its tropical and luxurious radiance for all those willing to travel a little outside the tourist area to enjoy! The rooms are elegant, very spacious , quiet, beautiful and have amazing views of the property! The pool was so much fun and rewarding after a long day out sight seeing!! The kitchen and Chef was something me and my girlfriend looked forward too coming home every day we. visited breakfast, lunch and dinner! truly spectacular hotel. Nothing! I loved every part of it even the distance away from the touristy areas and airport.
- Floxypov (10/5): Exceptional - Big Rooms, Clean, Clean big Swimming pool, very close to the best beaches in San Andreas. Staff very friendly and polite. Very good Air Conditioners. They have hot water. 100% will be back, super value
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacob (6/5): - It was a very comfortable place that made it easy to relax. I didnt like that 1,800$ went missing from my room though that wasnt very pleasant.
- rolson407 (10/5): Stay in the comfort of home while in San Andres - Although this boutique hotel is a little off the beaten path and away from the busy center and highrise hotels, it's exactly what we were looking for. It's very quiet and comfortable. We found it easy to travel to and from the beaches/city center by taxi although I might consider a rental car on a follow up visit. I work in the hotel and restaurant industry and I can say the staff here are on point. Coming out for our first morning breakfast all of the staff greeted us by our first names. It feels like staying with a family rather than a hotel/resort. I can't say enough good things about the smiling, friendly and professional staff. We also saved money by booking tours etc through the hotel. We took a day long private pontoon boat tour that was very affordable and was an amazing experience. We found that even the dogs were the most friendly, often sleeping just outside our room door and adding to the sense of being safe at "home". Stay in the comfort of home while in San Andres
- Maria Araacelly (10/5): - Liked the property and seclusion. Unfortunately it is at a cost as your 25 minutes to town and that xould get pricey if your planning to head into town a lot. A bus does run every 20 minutes though at 1 dollar if that compared to 15 dollars. The breakfast can't beat as you get a choice and selection. Juice, fruit, bread and main course. Can't beat it. I did not the management treatment of staff though. But I enjoyed my staff.
- 850karimeh (8/5): Beautiful and far - It is a beautiful quiet hotel in the south of the island, which has beautiful landscapes. About 40 minutes by taxi($45,000)/bus($3,000) from the center. It is like staying at a country house. There are no eating options nearby, except for Punta Sur, which only serves lunch. Food at the hotel is extremely expensive for what you get (compared with other restaurants in the island).
The nearest beach is playa Charquitos, which is very nice, with shallow waters to snorkel, and it is at walking distance.
Staff is very nice. Although a couple of times the hotel was severely understaffed in the evening. At times it seemed there weren't any standards, but what they lacked in professionalism they made up in disposition.
There were a couple of power outages and the hotel doesn't have a backup generator, and the water runs with electricity, which makes it inconvenient.
We are a nature loving family, and at this hotel one gets to experience more of that wild side of the island.
We stayed for over a week, so the distance and being isolated was not great in the end. However I would recommend it for shorter stays.
- crusadere9 (10/5): Cozy Boutique Hotel - Stayed two nights, Reserved the Deluxe Suite. Clean, comfortable King Bed. Bathroom has Jacuzzi. Breakfast very adequate and good. Friendly staff and owners. If you are looking for a quite restful place this is it. We rented a buggy to travel around the island. We read reviews about the disorder by guests that don’t respect others in other popular hotels and we stayed away. With the buggy we were able to go anywhere, have fun and go back to a restful hotel. Plan on returning very soon and we will book there again. Thanks
- jonathanbS6781EA (8/5): Great hotel - I’d like to start by saying that this is a great hotel with amazing staff. The breakfast consists of fruits a freshly made juice and a sweet kind of dessert ( waffle, pancake ). Mari who runs the kitchen and house keeping is an angel to say the least. She does everything and even does massages which me and my fiancée loved. Her hand is smooth and she is a wealth of knowledge. The rest of the staff including the evening chef are very helpful and knowledgeable. We ate dinner at the hotel twice once we ordered a seafood soup which comes with rice and bread and the other day we ordered sandwiches which come loaded. The pool and rooms was well kept and the tv had many channels.
The reason I didn’t give 5 stars was due to the fact that the power went out twice and some things I bought in the fridge ended up going bad. As well as the distance from the town center is very far ( 1 hour+ bus ride ). The location is also a 10 minute walk from the Main Street where you can catch the bus.
TIPS: buy your trips from the town, it’s much cheaper then buying it from the hotel. However I would suggest renting the four wheeler from the hotel because for the same price as the town you get it for 24 hours and they deliver it to you. Also try Pavarotti pizza it’s amazing pizza and food and affordable.
- lisas0merville (4/5): Great place except for one member of staff - We haven’t ever been made to feel so uncomfortable by one person staying at a hotel before.
The female breakfast chef was rude so much so that each morning we felt more & more stressed going for breakfast. We asked the Hotel Manager If we had upset the ‘lady’ as we couldn’t raise a smile or Hola! Her behaviour in the end got so extreme we had no alternative but to leave.
Such a shame as all the rest of the team were the nicest, from Sandra welcoming us to Evan the ‘caretaker’ & the dinner chefs in the evening, they were all amazing & if we had the option we would of stayed 3 weeks not just the 1 week! The rating would be Excellent and not Poor.... I think if you are Colombian it’s ok to stay but certainly as English we felt we were singled out by her.
If the owner would like to get in touch then we will happily explain all of the incidents in detail. We are both from the hospitality & catering industry.
Great sized pool & in the quiet area of San Andres which was perfect for us. Excellent meals at night good quality fish and service!
- C2463ZUcs (10/5): The BEST birthday trip! - Casa Las Palmas Hotel Boutique was an amazing experience for my birthday. My mother and I left one hotel because of deception, discovered Las Palmas and we were treated like royal angels. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property it was nothing but smiles, professionalism and the most genuine hospitality. All of the staff, Gloria and her husband strived to accommodate my mother and I for my birthday and every expectation was met. Anything you need from a fresh meal, cold beverage, taxi service and even island tour is a snap away. I highly recommend anyone who prefers to relax in a home away from home, to visit Casa Hotel Boutique. The rooms are spacious, filled with life and culture, modernized, air conditioned, relaxing and comfortable. You can swim in her pool or take a short walk to catch the bus to the beach. The location is so serene that it's equally enjoyable to stay on site and enjoy the amenities. I will definitely be returning to Casa Hotel Boutique for the love and respect I received on my birthday. I owe the entire staff a lifetime of gratitude for the services provided to me and my mother on my birthday.
Sincerely thanking,
THE BEST HOTEL IN SAN ANDRES!!
- Camilla (10/5): - Excelente hotel, muito bonito e limpo. Gostamos bastante
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Over priced hotel in a poor location on San Andres. Transportation was not readily available. Hotel rooms were clean but the overall property was in poorly maintained. The hotel have food or drinks available to their patrons during the day. Dinner was very limited to one or two entrees. The area around the hotel is littered with garbage. There is no access to the beach. During our one month stay in Colombia this was the worse hotel we stayed in and the most expensive
- U6149UDemmah (6/5): Beautiful Room but a bit strange - This place is a little odd. When we arrived we had to try pretty hard to find someone to check in. The main house, whilst impressive is pretty run down, not that it matters too much as all the rooms are in a new building. The breakfast was nice and the staff were attentive apart from the building works which were going on right next to us and they didn’t think to start after the paying guests had finished eating breakfast before tending to their drilling. The room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished.
- CosmoKramer2 (4/5): Well below average - avoid! - This place flatters to deceive, the pictures look nice and the pool + main house have potential but are sadly lacking in routine maintenance. It also seems abandoned during the day with no-one around reception or pool area.
Worst of all was dinner, no menus, just one guy moonlighting as a 'chef' heating up some prawns and microwaved rice (clearly heard the PING!) and then charging us COP 96,000 for the privilege....an absolute joke.
Actually the most redeeming feature of this alleged 'boutique' hotel is being able to walk out to Cedar Point for a nice sunset or to Restaurante Coral View for some proper, well-prepared San Andres seafood.
Do yourself a favour and avoid this place like the plague!
- hammaburch (2/5): Bad service and aggressive owner - The grounds are quite nice and so was our room. The place is not conveniently located and down a unpaved road in bad condition.
The owner was quite nice but other employes did not seem to understand how decent service workes.
We asked the reception to call us a car to the airport. This was ordered more than half an hour early. Eventhough we specifically said we didnt want this. The taxi driver then wanted a higher price because of the wait. Milena , the reception manager respondible for this, told us this is our fault and we had to pay the difference. Then we also couldnt pay bottles of water on a hot day because she didnt feel like getting us change. While paying 470.000 COP per night i expect a better service and the staff not to be rude to me when they make a mistake and dont le me speak to their superior to resolve an issue. Too bad that because of this very rude behaviour we wont come back to an otherwise alright place.
... after this review was posted on the webiste through which we booked the room the owner called me the next day to yell at me. He insulted me and wouldnt want to calm down. After I hung up he continued to insult me via whatsapp (see screenshot). Not very professional..
Quiero regressar!!!
If you wanna relax, enjoy a place far from the crowd, in a familiar atmosphere, Casa Las Palmas is for you!
Everyone is always on a good mood, and ready to help you in anything you need for having more confort.
The restaurant is an side attraction, the food is really impressive , and the breakfast is one of the bests I ever had in a hotel!
Hopefully I will come back!
Deborah Freitas & Daniel Stuart
- lindawS3347UH (10/5): As advertised - remote, quiet, peaceful - I agree with other reviewers that the location is far away from central San Andres where all the action is but that is the point - it is away from all the crowds and noise! Obviously they did not do their research before booking! We totally appreciated the beautiful room with lovely wood wall cabinet, air conditioning, small refrigerator and a comfortable bed. Large windows gave us a view of their flowered grounds and pool. Good black out blinds provided us privacy and a good nights sleep. The pool was clean and large enough to swim laps. We had zero desire to seek restaurants and greatly appreciated the meals prepared by the staff in the kitchen. Breakfast was included but the kitchen staff would also prepare lunch and a chef was available every evening to prepare very tasty and memorable meals eaten outside in the quiet night. Yes, this was expensive but worthwhile if you want a special get-away. The manager will arrange transportation to and from the airport as well as vehicle rentals or tours. The only advice I would give future travellers is ask the cab driver to stop at a store so you can pick up water, wine, snacks, etc. This will save you from having to pay the higher price for these items at the hotel.
- 562nicku (2/5): Research. Location is horrible and condition is not good - We had a 4 night reservation that we immediately canceled upon arrival after seeing the condition and the location of the hotel. It's far away from everything. It was roughly a 30 minute drive (without traffic) from the downtown where EVERYTHING is. If the hotel had amenities to provide such as a beach, nice pool, bar, restaurant, or ANYTHING to entertain guests, I understand staying here. It’s down a dirt road that is a 15 minute walk to the beach. The neighboring properties are abandoned houses/lots. When talking about the location the owner suggested walking down the dirt road to a bus stop to get downtown. Do you research. Find a comparable priced hotel near the south of the island where you can WALK and enjoy what the island has to provide.
- cc_131191 (2/5): Worst place in Colombia, worst owners, AVOID !!! - Terrible experience: located in a very remoted area on the island with nothing around. You are stuck there and the owner will do all they can to make you spend money (and everything is very expensive). You just can't leave the house if they don't call you a taxi, which cost 20€ at least. The breakfast service is very slow: 1h30 on the first day to be served. And be aware, the owner is watching all that you eat! Be ware of not choosing too much stuff from the card and they might they something.
On the last day, we left the room early in the morning so that they can give it to other people. They said they will open a place for us to have a shower before leaving. When we asked, they aggressively show us the bath nearby the pool: only cold water, lots of mostiqos, 0 confort.
Bad people, bad attitude, bad energy. All they want is you to pay the more possible during your stay. AVOID and find another place with better people not only focus on your money.
- Ashley (10/5): Stunning villa - Thomas was absolutely amazing and made sure we experienced everything while on the island. I will absolutely be back!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet and secluded area in the island - The hotel is located in a quiet and secluded area in San Andres, perfect for who wants to relax and stay away from the buzz in more touristic areas in the island.
Te staff is extremely friendly and helpful, being that for giving hints and recommendation on what to do in the island or more unforeseen matters such as we got a bit ill and they prepared us some herbal teas. :) we really felt welcome and home there!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place - amazing staff and amazing service and welcome. Can strongly recommend, for a nicer and more authentic stay at San Andres, away from the all-inclusive resorts. Only challenge is the location, as you need either to take the bus or rent a vehicle/scooter to get around.
- PascalC1457 (10/5): The best place on the island - Absolutely what you excpect of a carribiean get away. Inbeded in a wonderful garden of flowers trees and palms, you gonna see iguanas and rare birds. The owners are so nice and helpful with anything. We got a very nice introduction on the whole island and very good recommendations for resteraunts and tours. Everything was super clean and the pool is perfect. You can reach the beach by foot. Best thing and fun though is to rent a golf car and explore the island from there. The sourth side of the island is really nice and quite, all away from the big mess in the center, and has the beautiful non crowded beaches. Go for the master suite it is absolutely worth it.
- N1305ZTjuanl (4/5): Poor election. Please go to decameron san luis or ms village, the same price. - I stayed in this hotel, in the main suite.
The problems began:
+ The room is very big and nice
+ The owners are friendly.
-The variety of breakfasts is very poor. Only one or two options.
-If you ask the waitresses to prepare something, they do not like it and make you feel bad.
-The hotel is very retired from EVERYTHING. If you are going to go out at night, or going downtown is difficult to return. Or you would expect a taxi costing 15USD or a bus that runs every 30 minutes.
-There are no beaches nearby to swim, they are lies.
-The jacuzzi in the main room is very bad neat, and full of mosquitoes. We do not use it after acquiring a skin allergy.
-If you're not a foreigner they do not treat you very well, it's a fact.
-we pay USD 185 per night. Never again. Please go to MS San Luis Village, Decameron San Luis, a lot better, better location, instalation, and two true hotels. I feel cheated with my money....pay too much for little service, ...
