Guest Reviews
- Tracie (10/5): - Staff were super friendly. Great location. Good price.
- Nancy (10/5): - Very quiet and laid back atmosphere.
Rooms are very clean but small.
Beach and pier is a short walk.
Restaurant on premises. Not fancy but food was good and prepared quickly.
Would definitely stay here again
- Roy (10/5): - Rooms are clean. Manager Juanita is excellent
- Daniel (8/5): - Very quiet at this time of year after beach season. Very small room for two without amenities which I don’t mind
- April (10/5): - We always stay at Seaview and are treated like family...soooo convenient to be rt on the beach (and private access to the beach AND pier)...restaurant rt upstairs...no need to ever leave if we don't feel like it!
- Hubert (10/5): - Everything was superb. Loved the private beach access and fishing pier. Very serene and peaceful. Definitely will be staying here again in the future.
- Jerry (6/5): - No place to lay your toothbrush or other toiletries. No ice machine on premises. Room did not even have a small coffee maker!.
- Eugene (10/5): Beach Stay - Quiet and relaxing. Beach, fishing pier and restaurant all in one place. Excellent
- charles (10/5): Cute and Clean Motel - Had bad experiences with beach front motels in the past but this one was nice and clean. It did not smell like ocean. The staff was amazing. The restaurant next door was very good. Will definitely come back.
- William (8/5): - The staff was great very quiet somewhat small rooms but what makes up the difference is the 24 hour bait and tackle shop for the 24 hour pier fishing inshore fishing if you like and a perfect old school fish and chips or whatever you want to eat diner on location Some of the best food I have had in a while
- Jeffrey (6/5): - Very small room, no cup or glass for drinking, one little tiny bar of soap, no hand towel just shower towel. It was clean and the shower was good.
- Luz (10/5): - Everything was perfect I would stay again
- Lila (10/5): - Private beach access and its own pier. Very quiet and convenient.
- Sarah (8/5): - Prime location for fun on the fishing pier! Standard room accommodations, nothing too fancy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice motel! - Cute little ocean front motel with pier and restaurant - friendly staff, cute rooms- just enough. Fridge and microwave in room, comfortable bedding and great views.
- Kevin (8/5): Seaview pier and motel - It was perfect for the price. Great staff, clean rooms, cloe to the beach, and the pier restaurant was awesome!
- Kimberly (10/5): Cozy - It was perfect for our weekend getaway. The bed was very comfortable, everything was clean and the AC worked great!
- luther (10/5): - the resturant next door was great beach access great room was very clean
- Rachel (10/5): - Simple hotel. Great location with good parking and beach access. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not bad - It was ok. Small room. Small sink so not much room for toothbrushes and such. It was ok.
- prashanth (8/5): - Lallngoodnonly issue is room is very small for 2! People it is small were total 4. 2 teenage kids and parents. But we can use outside tables for coffee or snacks but overall had great time . Front desk lady was good and polite . She does lot of hard work all the best
- Betsy (6/5): - The room was very small. Had no table or chair. No coffee pot. In bathroom had no where to lay your stuff had a petals sink. Would have been nice to have somewhere to put my hairbrush and toiletries.. Like the locations but not the room. Staff very friendly.
- Jamie (8/5): - We loved the easy, private access to the beach the most! No big crowds! The building is older and without the expensive frills of other hotels i looked at, but clean and serviceable. Staff both at the hotel and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Safe area, could leave our chairs and towels hanging and not worry about them. Not much in the immediate area but very close to shopping and great eating spots. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to spend some simple quiet time on the beach!
- Faye (10/5): - The view from my room was excellent, very comfortable beds, very clean. It's not a fancy hotel but very comfortable, clean, quiet and relaxing. I love staying here. The front desk are very nice and informative.
- Krista (8/5): - I wanted to stay here because it was right on the beach and I could open the window and sleep to the sound of the waves. The room was clean and quaint. The windows are supposed to open and I guess they technically did. It took all my strength to open the window and it wouldn’t stay open- it kept slamming down when I stopped holding it open, thankfully no body parts were in the way because it would’ve broken my hand if it slammed on it. There was a light on the pier that started blinking, 1 second on, 1 second off- over and over, from 9pm until the sun came up and the light came through blinds all night.
- Mitchell (8/5): - The people were great, the location was great but me and the bed were not compatible. I didn’t sleep well. My friend had no problems and slept like a log.
- Jaleesa (8/5): - Great location, Oceanfront and right by the pier
- Jackson (4/5): - The bare bones room did not even have a glass (or paper cup) for taking medicines. Also no Kleenex, no coffee, no hair dryer, or any of the other things most hotels include these days. Also, there were unwelcoming signs all over—with many exclamation marks—threatening horrible consequences if any of their rules were broken. Easy access to the beach was the one positive.
- John (10/5): - The staff were quite nice... I had a whather jolly good time.
- Taneisha (6/5): - Let me start by saying the staff there was wonderful and the property is on the beach. But, this place has way too many rules. I can understand no fish or fishing gear in the room because you don’t want to have a stinky place. The rule about sand and no beach attire or toys in the room because of cleanliness. Umm the place is on a beach and the parking lot has sand. Similar to everyone else, the rooms are small but they were nice and cozy. But, it was not ideal as I was traveling for a wedding. So they had no irons and you are not permitted to use blow dryers there. Which is crazy because you are on a beach. If you are booking a place to go fishing or stopping through, this place is great. But, for me going to a wedding it was not ideal. I was too concerned that I was going to break a rule and be charged for something.
- elizabeth (10/5): - It was ver relaxing and what we went there for
- Carole (10/5): - Small but clean and affordable rooms. Ocean front. Nice staff.
- Bruce (10/5): I’ll be back - The room was modest and aged but was very clean. They passed the bedbug test as well. The location and layout of pier and restaurant access was unique and absolutely beautiful.
- Kristin (4/5): - Upon arriving, the floor the office is located on smelled of strong cleaning chemicals. Then, once getting to our room, we were met once again with strong chemicals (like the room was doused in pinesol) on top of a musty scent. As the evening went on, the cleaning scent dissipated however, the musty scent became stronger and more of mildew. The motel was sold out and there wasn’t another room of affordability nearby so we suffered through another night and opened the window when possible and ran the overhead fan. The scent seemed to be coming from the carpet. Everything else was fairly clean. The carpet was both visibly and physically filthy.
- Barbara (10/5): Great place! - Great little place to stay right by the pier.
- Kayla (10/5): - Last min desiom
- Anthony (6/5): - It was a very small room. There were no toiletries for a shower. The hostess was pleasant. Very basic property
- Mark (10/5): - The staff was very pleasant and the location was perfect. Very clean and the view was great.
- Mariyah (10/5): - Amazing and super friendly staff. The seaview pier restaurant has delicious food.5 stars.
- Grazi (6/5): - On water, at the pier. Restaurant at the property. Really convenient and very CLEAN
- Shara (10/5): - Very clean property. Bed comfortable. Leather recliner seat in room. Lady who checked me in was very nice.
- George (8/5): - Room was very clean. Beds could use a mattress upgrade.
- Inho (4/5): - The room smelled terrible
- Shelley (6/5): - The property is older but it is kept clean. The furnishings are out of date but the staff is very friendly. I wish there wasn't so many steps (not handicap accessible at all) and it would have been nice to have a balcony or better way to see the ocean from the rooms.
- Patricia (10/5): - Staff was great and the rooms very clean
- Warren (10/5): - Great property, beautiful ocean view.
- Michael (10/5): - Awesome place and amazing service when I arrived.
- Debra (8/5): - I enjoyed my stay only thing I wished they had more mirrors in the rooms especially when you got teenagers getting ready all I once .
- Veronica (10/5): - Wonderful place secluded friendly local fishermen every thing was fabulous
- Jason (10/5): - Room was large enough for 2 and clean. Right on the beach and pier so going to the beach was very easy. Restaurant at the peir was good and reasonably priced. Will need to drive if wanting to go shopping or eating at places other than the pier. Only negative was our clothes and items were slightly damp in the room but this could just be due to the high humidity of eastern NC. Very nice overall and we enjoyed our stay!
- Julio (6/5): - The reservation I made was a room with two beds, they only gave me o e bes.
- Diane (8/5): - No coffee maker in room, no ice machine for guests! Juanita in the officewas wonderful
- Teresia (10/5): - Great place
- Kenneth (10/5): Nice place on the beach!! - Booked for an overnight fishing trip with wifey. Worked out nicely. The room was clean, updated and well maintained. Small but convienent for a place to sleep at the ⛱️. The restaurant nextdoor is delicious and reasonable. Will book again.
- Lisa (10/5): - Seaview Pier and Motel has the friendliest staff ever. No matter how many questions we had they were all eager to help! Beach access, fishing, relaxing with no hassles!! Who could ask for more!!??!!
- Valeri (10/5): Get a way for a few days - We are visiting this place for 3rd year on the row. It`s nice and we love it.
- Tony (10/5): - This is a great hotel with an excellent location for a true fisherman. The price is a little high but for the convenience to the pier and restaurant you make your choice.
- Amanda (8/5): - Great access to beautiful beach. But the room is tiny. we also were on the second floor above ground level without an elevator. My legs got a workout coming and going.
- Duane (10/5): - It was great trip
- Gert (8/5): - Beautiful location, don"t need to go anywhere as there is a restaurant next door
- Judy (10/5): nice place to stay - the room was very clean and the bed was fantastic very nice to see the pier from window
- Megan (10/5): - Great location for my family. Pier and beach area was perfect . My only simple complaint would be no curtains on the window for us who like to sleep in .
- Chris (8/5): - old and right on pier. great view an easy access to pier.
- Gc (10/5): - It was comfortable, convenient. Didn't like that we had to leave our fishing rods and coolers outside
- Kathy (10/5): Beautiful for a wedding - I was here for my daughter’s wedding and the beach was perfect!
- Terry (10/5): - Will stay again.
- Veronica (10/5): - Cutest little room very quiet and relaxing the pier is awesome private beach area restaurant right beside the pier highly recommend and will return
- Laurie (10/5): - Clean rooms and loved looking out at pier and ocean
- Michael (10/5): - 👍
- Michael (10/5): - Very clean and great mattresses!
- Rianna (10/5): - We enjoed our weekend stay. Especially liked the fact the beach, pier, and food is all in close proximity. Surf City was about 15 minutes away, but a nice drive.
- Sandra (6/5): - THE BAD. First a foremost you MUST understand this is a small MOTEL with no amenities. There is not a hanger for clothes or a place to hang clothes nor is there a drawer to put folded clothes in. There is one small towel rack in the bathroom and a pedestal sink in the bathroom that you can’t even hardly set a toothbrush on. If you stay here be prepared to live out of a suitcase. If you are on the first floor be prepared to hear every step on the second floor and down the hall. THE GOOD. The Location is right on the beach at the pier. The beds are VERY comfortable. The place was extremely clean. The staff nice. There is a restaurant next to hotel but I did. Not eat there. You CAN NOT walk to any nearby shopping. If you want to fish off a pier as your only nearby fun then this is the place for you.
- Kelsey (10/5): - Very nice staff. Clean rooms. Oceanfront
- Craig (10/5): - Clean, quiet, and friendly staff.
- Nicole (8/5): Great for a short stay - Overall, this was a nice, no-frills room for a short stay with our kids. If we were staying more than two nights, I think it would have been a little too cramped and unpleasant. The beds were very comfortable, AC worked, it was pretty clean, and the shower had hot water. We don’t need much more than that. But a few things would make the room so much more functional and less frustrating. More hooks for hanging damp swimsuits and towels would be helpful as well as a shelf or vanity in the bathroom. The pedestal sinks offer no room to store toothbrushes and other toiletries. Stuff was always falling off into the floor. Everyone we came in contact with was very helpful and friendly, which is a huge plus!
- Heather (8/5): Loved the Ocean View! - Loved the ocean view from my room! Enjoyed the easy beach access and having the pier and restaurant right next door too. I'll be back!
- JOAN (10/5): - It was right at the pier. Very quiet. People who worked there were very nice. Inexpensive and it was all fine. It was dated but neat. Second time we've stayed. We enjoy staying there!
- William (8/5): - Great location. Helpful staff. No frills. Small rooms. Good beds. Clean given how easily sand is tracked in. Convenient to attached restaurant.
- Collette (10/5): - Easy check-in, easy, close parking, simple room, great beach and pier access!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - On the beach in a quiet location, was perfect for a quick getaway.
- Woodrow (6/5): - This was a four-star price property for two star property. Absolutely no amenities.
- Laura (10/5): Small but Cheery Room in perfect location - This small hotel was a great find for us! We loved the location - right on the beach with anytime access to the pier. Beach is gorgeous. Our room had 2 double beds and that was almost all that could fit in the room. The bathroom was also small. We knew this from the other reviews and the listing so no surprise. The room was really nice with a fresh paint job and really delivered to us very clean.
- Danielle (10/5): Shirt family trip - Staff was incredible and so helpful! Hotel was clean and comfortable. Fantastic location right on the beach! Would definitely stay here again!
- Donna (10/5): Enjoyable - Very cool environment & clean. Staff professional and friendly. The area is beautiful and the restaurant next door was pleasant and had awesome fried pickle spears.
- Donald (10/5): All in One Location - Fishing pier, restaurant & motel all in the same location. You can park for your vacation & never have to leave. The food was delicious & the staff was friendly. The motel was simple, clean & comfortable. The fishing pier is very well maintained & is a great place to be for some serious relaxation & fun. Always enjoy my vacations @ the Seaview.
- Kachu (10/5): - Very simple and peaceful place
Easy access to the beach
Enhoy my stay and will go back
- Joseph (8/5): - This is a good overall t budget beach experience.
- Jason (10/5): - Good
- Joe (8/5): - Would stay again
- Susan (10/5): - The lady at front desk was very nice and professional.
- Deborah (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- Marcus (10/5): - Very nice people and it’s like a family owned mom and pop business very cute and convenient and very reasonable 90 bucks a night.
- David (10/5): - Cute little beach motel. Came with free access to walk on the fishing pier which was so nice. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was so nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this plane and I will stay here again.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Beautiful little get away. Very relaxing. Staff very friendly
- Sam (6/5): - It was clean for sure but no one was there over night and couldn't get an extra blanket as owner leaves for the night. Very noisy. Could hear every move from upstairs as it's just an old old place and not insulated well. Could hear the people talk clearly two doors down. No room at all in the bathroom they need a shelf to put stuff on, just a small sink. Just not for us.
- Joan (10/5): - If you’re looking for a great spot right on the beach this is it. If you want luxury, it’s not the place for you. Small, dated rooms. Minimalist bath. But you are at the pier. It’s clean and everything you need for an overnight stay
- Irene (10/5): Amazing place to stay - We have an amazing stay, the room big enough for us. The ocean view was great easy access to the beach and pier.
- Jerry (10/5): - We loved everything about this place from the clean room, friendly service, easy pier access.. everything was fantastic! Can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this place but will for sure be going back! If you love to relax and fish this place is for you!
- Lonnie (8/5): - Convinent to the beach and fishing pier
Room was old and out dated but I was there only to fish so that was ok
- Ray (8/5): Short stay but worked out great - Nice place small rooms but your own the beach not in there much would go back
