• Chun (9/5): Wonderful stay, great onsen, good food - Excellent location next to the lake. Close to the shopping street. Great in-room onsen (both indoor and outdoor). Super friendly staff. Things are a bit dated but understandable for a property with history. Could not contact the hotel before check-in to arrange car transfer (phone was busy), took taxi instead.
• Shoon (10/5): Pampering moments - We booked the family room with 2 bed rooms and private baths (indoor and outdoor) for 2 nights. Room was spacious and nice. We enjoyed the private baths. Breakfast and dinners for both days were sumptuous and delicious. Our host, Takeuchi san was extremely friendly and considerate. She remembered our preferences and tried her best to provide us with advice despite the language barrier (by using the translation apps). We really enjoyed her service. Location of the Ryokan was very good. It was located beside Lake Kirin and we were able to enjoy quiet walks around the lake every morning before all the tour buses arrived. Within walking distance to the floral village too. Although it was quite a distance from Yufuin station, pick-up service was provided and we just needed to call the Ryokan using public phone at the Station.

• Ju Yeon (10/5): - Great place to experience a traditional Japanese ryokan. Food was excellent, and it was very close to the lake and shopping area. But the room was too cold to stay in icy Winer. If I go again, it will be either in Spring or Fall.
• Hyunjin (10/5): - 전반적으로 아주 만족합니다. 체크인 2-3일 전에 전화로 알러지여부 숙박객 등등 확인전화해주시고, 테크인할 때 영어한국어 가능한 직원분 계셔서 의사소통 편했어요 ! 아주 간단한 일본어할 줄 아시면 더 의사소통이 편합니다 1. 숙박시설 : 조금 노후화되긴 했지만 깔끔해서 괜찮음! 료칸내에 산책하는 느낌이 있어서 아주 좋음 2. 위치 : 송영서비스 잘 되어있어 체크인체크아웃시 아주 편했음. 긴리코 호수 30초컷. 조금만 나가면 간식이나 음식점 기타 관광지 다니기 편함 3. 음식 : 일단 회와 야키니쿠가 진짜 맛있음. 다른 건 처음먹는 고급음식이라 좋음. 일본 처음가는 남편도 식사 엄청 잘했음 4. 료칸 : 객실내에 온천수 잘나와서 좋음. 다만 노후화되어서 샤워기가 터져있었음 ㅠ 그래도 온천수를 이용해서 씻을 수 있으니 괜찮음!! 5. 화장실이 1,2층 두개 있어서 좋음. 1층 화장실은 좀 추웠으나 비데가 아주 따뜻함 재방문 의사 강력하게 있음! 복층말고 단층 객실도 있음 좋겠지만 아직 젊어서 괜찮음 ㅎㅎ 어르신들 묵으시려면 객실내 계단이 좀 가파를 수 있으니 조심해야함. 유카타 입고 오르락할때 키 작은 분들 유카타 밟아 넘어지지않게 주의 필요
• Yip (9/5): Superb - Beautiful resort nestled between Kinrin lake and Yufuin Floral Village. Huge mansionette with bedroom on the upper floor, lower floor has a large cabinet, tatami lounge area, indoor and outdoor onsen with seating outdoors. Facilities, service and meals were very good. Was a little difficult to find at first as the carpark was away from the main street and the name in Japanese was different from what was shown in the booking. The salmon was too over grilled and is cold at breakfast on our last day.

• Sunha (10/5): Exceptional - The staff who came out to meet us and carried our luggage as soon as we parked in the parking lot, and those who helped with our luggage when we left and saw us off until we left the parking lot, were all very kind. The room was spotless and nice. The private open-air bath attached to my room provided a fantastic solo hot spring experience, and the quality of the spring water was so good that it made my skin silky smooth. Excellent dinner and breakfast think it would have been better to inform me that if I choose to pay in Australian dollars instead of Japanese yen, there is an additional charge of 3.5%. Other than that, there's nothing to fault.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the shopping street and the Lake. I will definitely consider staying at Nanakawa again on my next visit!

• Christina (9/5): Indulgent but peaceful and relaxing, private onsen was a highlight - Located within a 3min walk of Lake Kinrin and 5-10min walk of Yufuin Floral Village, Kutsurogi no Yado Nanakawa was part of a wider complex of other ryokan, so we actually dined at its sister facility. You had access to 4 public onsen facilities as part of the wider complex along with two private onsen in your room, which was a highlight - we were grateful to have an indoor bathroom and shower facility to prepare, and an outdoor onsen to soak. It was a quiet and peaceful complex, beautifully designed with traditional Japanese styling, and we did not feel disturbed by other guests. This was a massive room with tatami, huge ceilings and upstairs western bedroom, easily could accommodate a whole family or large group if needed. Thoughtful amenities including skincare and lotion were provided, along with two types of haori for walking around in cooler weather. The kaiseki dinner featured high quality seasonal ingredients and beef shabu shabu as a main, and a breakfast that featured western salads as well as Japanese dishes. Parking was provided by the ryokan, which is great because it's located in the center of a lot of tourist activity. Definitely the most expensive of all the ryokan we stayed. The lighting during dinner was quite stark and bright, it made the experience feel a little clinical. Ryokan was a little tricky to get to, mostly because you're driving through crowded streets, but there was plenty of parking once you reached the complex
• Kit (10/5): Nice stay - Very spacious, the room has 2 storey, upper level comes with a 2-bed bedroom and a toilet. Lower level is the living room, toilet, indoor onsen with shower. There is an outdoor private onsen next to the mini garden. The hotel is right next to the famous lake, which is very good if you would like to get up in early morning to see the mist on lake. The onsen is very comfortable, worth spending more time in it. I arrived at the hotel before check in time (3pm). It was really nice that they store our luggage, but i cannot book the dinner and breakfast in advance. When i was back to hotel at 5:45, i was told only one timeslot was available for dinner and breakfast.

• Manami (10/5): - 施設は少し古いのですが、宿泊した部屋は改装されているのかとても綺麗でした。部屋に内風呂と露天風呂が付いていて、しかも源泉かけ流しで最高でした。何度も入浴しお肌もツルツルで湯布院の温泉を満喫しました。 食事も美味しく、器や盛り付けにも凝っていました。特に大分牛のしゃぶしゃぶは美味しかったです。 お料理の時のお世話をしてくれたスタッフさんは、若いのに言葉使いが良く気づかいも細やかでとても快適な時間を過ごさせて頂きました。 到着の時の駐車場までのおで迎えと帰る時のお見送り、本当にお客様を大切にしている気持ちが伝わってきました。今までに宿泊した旅館の中で上位に入る旅館です。 もしまた湯布院に行く機会があればまた泊まりたいと思いました。
• Phyllis (9/5): Good food, good hotspring and good location - The food is so wonderful, very delicious. There are four common and one private hot springs and the condition is very nice. There are maps everywhere and you will never get lost. And, we can have our meal at a very private room. Also, they offered transportation for us to the train station, it's very good. If there is massage chair provided, it will be even more satisfying.
