- Paula (8/5): Good comfortable safe stay - Good friendly staff I felt safe as a solo traveller Towel change didn’t happen
- Tamara (8/5): -
- Zoe (8/5): Would recommend!! - Great location for our needs and lovely room with very comfortable bed and super dinner and breakfasts. Very friendly and helpful staff and nice pub atmosphere. Attractive William Morris decor. No housekeeping for second night and heating was a bit random
- Rachael (8/5): - Staff really friendly & efficient.
Food was excellent. Pricey for single occupancy room.
- Alexander (8/5): - Comfortable and welcoming. The room was a bit on the cool side and we missed having a warm radiator in the ensuite to keep the towels warm.
- Melanie (9/5): - Great location! Room was super comfy and clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful! Walking distance to town centre, Sherwood Forest etc Nothing! I loved staying here!
- Nick (10/5): -
- Jeanette (10/5): The Dukeries Lodge - Everything the location, the lodge was amazing loved the interior, all the staff including Tracey were very helpful and polite couldn't do enough.lovely breakfast a great variety of choice.we had an evening meal one day and sunday lunch the next and both were top class.we dont normally have a dessert after but we couldn't resist. very clean had everything we needed. We like to watch a bit of telly before going to sleep and the fact you could watch anything was brilliant including Netflix etc which is very rare in places like this. Cant fault it at all in fact we have booked again in August before we left Nothing
- Anita (8/5): -

- DEBORAH (10/5): We had an excellent 2 night stay here . - Situated near to Sherwood Forest centres and RSPB in the middle of Edwinstowe . Staff were friendly and efficient and very helpful. Food was v good . Room comfortable
- Robin William (8/5): Good position, staff pleasant and food good. - Good menu. Room quiet Check out time a bit early (10) but we were not hassled about it.
- Michael (10/5): - Everything was great Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): Mid week stay - Perfect stay, wonderful accommodation. Nothing
- Antony (10/5): Exceptional weekend break - The location, the food, the people. A great place to stay when visiting Sherwood Travel light, there is no lift and all rooms are on the first floor
- Sharon (10/5): Superb staff! - Friendly staff, especially Cobi, Phoebe and Tracy who served us so well, with patience, kindness and a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, so compliments to the chef (even gluten free lemon meringue pie, wow!). I cant bring my well-behaved cockerpoo, as dogs are not allowed to stay overnight. Sad
- Sophie (10/5): - Amazing decor, clean rooms and lovely staff! Easy to find and good parking
- karin (10/5): -
- Linda (9/5): A friendly, very pleasant stay - Friendly, welcoming staff. Lovely decorated. Large car park. Very tasty breakfast All the stairs, particularly ones in the bedroom
- Pam (10/5): Greeted and served by happy staff all very helpful would highly recommend - Freshly decorated spacious bar and dining areas . The bedroom was comfortable and a good size no noise or disturbance overnight The shower huge great water pressure Nothing all very high standard
- Sarah (10/5): - The building was lovely and the room was nice. Great breakfast and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
- Sivyer (4/5): Not satisfied at all... - The food was good. The bed was tiny for 2 adults - a bare 5foot - if that is even what it was .. we were staying for 4 nights and it was very uncomfortable in that tiny bed and tiny room...
No sheets or towels were changed at any time in those 4 days - on one day rubbish was removed and the cups washed ... that is just one day in a four day stay ... this is supposed to be a hotel...
- Pyper (8/5): -
- Gina (10/5): Amazing building, beautiful room with an excellent shower, very friendly and helpful staff and the food was fantastic! G - Beautiful historic building with discreet modern touches
- nessa (8/5): Good hotel - Lovely rooml food was Amazing and surrounding ..lovely historical building .. lovely staff Not gd on Disability access not well informed on website of No lift a lot of stairs quite a struggle fir me ..

Room had all the amenities needed
Bar area is lovely
Decor lovely Room was a little on the small side but fine for one night
- Jackie (4/5): - The loo had a paper saying it was clean but it was anything but. I reported this and was told they may have a drain problem. Wasn’t offered anything in compensation, or even an apology
- Russell (8/5): -
- Price (10/5): - Everything Zero
- Frank (9/5): Friendly place with good facilities - The room and the ambience of the place Slight delay with breakfast due to 'walk ins' coming in for breakfast
- Merel (9/5): Robin Hood atmosphere and good service - The Dukeries Lodge not only looks attractive on the outside and inside, they also have good service and spacious, well equiped rooms (even for single travelers).
Their location is close to Sherwood forest and there is a bus stop right in front of their door, which makes is a good location to visit for people yraveling by public transport. There was nothing negative really. If I have to think of something the bathroom was quite worm and I couldn't find the thermostat and the buffet-part at breakfast could have offered a bit more choices.
- Trevor (9/5): -
- Goodman (10/5): Modern , new , comfy an excellent staff service - Lovely All good
- Jacqueline (8/5): -
- john (9/5): -
- G (8/5): - The staff were all friendly Found it odd our cold water came out hot from the tap unless it was run for a considerable amount of time, forgot to mention it to the staff as we only stayed one night.
Whilst the staff were lovely when we ate in the evening we weren't asked if our food was OK, not did we get offered coffees at the end of our meal, just minor irritation but attention to those make a difference 😀
- Charmaine (10/5): Had the perfect night away! - The property was stunning, all the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and the location was perfect! Nothing.
- Susan (10/5): -
- matthew (10/5): -
- gail (8/5): Beautifully decorated hotel - Very convenient. A beautifully decorated hotel, our superior room was really special. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was disappointing: my avocado and poached egg was very good but my partner’s eggs Benedict weren’t that good. There was no fruit, yogurt or toast and the coffee wasn’t great
- Anne (9/5): Nice one night stopover - Friendly staff, nice room
- Richard (8/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): Nice hotel and location. Shame that bar shuts so early - Nice hotel in a great location Bar shut at 22:30. And couldn’t get a drink so if you like a nice evening with a meal don’t be surprised when they stop serving drinks
- Belinda (8/5): Beautiful spot yo see the local ruins. - Great dining. Wonderful views. Parking close by. Warm and well appointed rooms. Lots of stairs and hallways to get to public areas.
- caroline (8/5): It was good value - we liked the venue, food and staff. - It had a great location for us to be at Sherwood Pines for a bike race. It was clean, welcoming and the evening meal was good. We had 2 rooms and the double bed in room 3 was very uncomfortable.
- Clive (9/5): Comfortable stay on my short visit to Edwinstowe - Recently refurbished to a very good standard. The room was very comfortable. All of the staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Paula (9/5): very warm and comfortable stay - The evening meal was very nice and a good price, the room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly not was to much trouble. there was nothing I didn't like.

- Iain of Kent (9/5): Good food , smart rooms & plenty of parking - we ate in thear/restaurant . food was tasty wholsome & reasonably priced - Breakfast was fine not a great choice on the cold products but cooked choices were fine & you could mix & match.
whats also good is theres a seperate hotel entrance so you dont have come through the bars if you dont want too. I think as id chosen a superior double, i expected a suitcase stand & tissues in the room.
- Chris (9/5): -
- Marie (10/5): Great place to stay. - Staff were excellent. The hotel and our room were lovely and it was spotless throughout. We had breakfast and an evening meal in the restaurant and the food was good value and tasty.

- Anna (10/5): -
- Ellie (8/5): - Location was excellent Bed was too small- my husband is over 6ft and it was a small double bed- for the price I’d expect a king size bed
Food in the evening was limited as many items not available
- Margaret (8/5): Warm, comfortable and welcoming - Friendly and helpful staff. Well furnished and clean. Food good. Coffee poor and whilst food generally excellent we had some very soggy broccoli.
- Alexander (9/5): Great, short stay in a really welcoming hotel. - Our 3rd stay this year. We really like the Dukeries. Staff were friendly and efficient. Dinner was excellent and breakfast most satisfying. A room to the rear of the hotel would have reduced the early morning traffic noise from Rufford Rd.
- David (9/5): - Comfortable, welcoming and smiling staff, good parking, hot breakfast!
- Shaun (10/5): -
- Lorraine (9/5): -
- Freemo101 (9/5): - We ate dinner in the bar area which is clean, tidy, warm and cosy top marks for all.
Breakfast was excellent.
Plenty of parking spaces in car park.
We will definitely be back in the near future. Our only slight niggle would the bed side lights did not work there did not seem to be anywhere to switch on, on one of the lights the bottom part of lamp was missing.
- Susan (8/5): Lovely change to Christmas, just a shame the bar closed at 4pm. - It was a lovely property. Looked as though it had been newly refurbished, good blend of old and new. Staff all very welcoming. Food good.
