Important Information

The bar and restaurant are shut on Sunday evenings and all day on Mondays. Breakfast will be served as usual on these days. Check in is from 4pm daily. Please note the Inn is closed for Food & Beverage on Sunday & Mondays, except for Breakfast.

Laura (9/5): Would recommend for Vobster Quay visit. - The divers' (takeaway) breakfast was a welcome surprise! The room was clean and comfortable. The host was welcoming and friendly. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're at Vobster Quay, which was within walking distance. Only things that are beyond the control of the hosts: phone reception wasn't very good in the area, and there's not much else around in terms of restaurants which just requires advance planning when you don't have a car!

It was the ideal spot to relax and spend quality time with family. We felt completely at ease and truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, a lovely way to start each day. The overall atmosphere was cozy and serene, and we appreciated the little touches that made the experience special. isabel (7/5): Fine for what we were looking for - Everything was fine but the bar closes early and in the evening there is no one about but good for what we were looking for as we spent most of our stay outside the hotel. The room was very cold. Central heating not on and heater provided was not sufficient to make the room cosy.

Ashleigh (10/5): The Bunkhouse - We had a fantastic two-night stay at The Bunkhouse. It was delightfully quirky, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully peaceful—just what we needed to unwind. The hot tub was a luxurious touch, perfect for relaxing under the stars. Each morning began with a lovely continental breakfast, and the service throughout our stay was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A hidden gem we’d happily return to! It was great!

Mathew (8/5): - Overall we were very happy with our stay here. The inn itself is lovely, the rooms are clean and tidy and the food was really nice. It's in a good spot to explore the area by car. But there is not really anything to do within walking distance of the inn. Our initial plan was to park up, check in and then sit outside and enjoy a drink or two in the pub. However, for quite rational reasons it no longer operates as a pub and only really serves as a dinning area for guests. So it is only open in the morning for breakfast and in the evening for dinner. There is also no outside seating, so whilst the location is amazing. The options are to sit on the grass outside the front of the pub or inside your room. Again I assume this is because the

Le fait d'avoir peu voir pas de connexion n'a pas été un problème, cela nous a permis d'apprécier encore plus les lieux, de passer des soirées sur la terrasse à jouer aux cartes avec les enfants, une reconnexion à l'essentiel !

"Breakfast included" was boldly displayed, however on arrival I was informed that a continental breakfast was included but there would be a £10 per person supplement for a cooked breakfast. This is totally unacceptable as we only booked on the basis of breakfast availability as part or a touring holiday. The additional £20 further eroded value for money. Upon completing the breakfast form, I found that it wasn't even a continental breakfast with no meats or cheeses available... Very poor. Furthermore, we were hungry on arrival before 8.30 on a Saturday evening but the pub was closed and lifeless. Although the bed was nice and clean, the accommodation was tired and in need of a good deep clean. Plumbing also needed attention with a very slow draining shower

I'm not sure why we even were allowed to book it with 3 kids. - much, much smaller than the photos make it seem. No way to be inside without being in another person's space -my kids in the bunk beds room compared it to sleeping in a closet

Ashley (8/5): A wonderful getaway - The building and landscape were gorgeous. It was lovely to park up and see the chickens, sheep and visiting pheasant "Lucky". The room was comfortable. I like that the owner had implemented a natural waste system. The owner was also very pleasant and accommodating. There wasn't anything that was bad. The walls were a bit thin (noise from the corridor) and a smart tv would have been nice for some netflix. These are just small suggestions. They did not take away from the overall experience.

The owner (Peta) made us really welcome and booked our discounted Longleat tickets... lovely lady. Very nice continental breakfast... lots of cereals etc. But I'm a cooked breakfast fan and I'll be honest was a tiny bit disappointed when I realised there was an extra charge if I wanted egg & bacon. But the continental breakfast was still pretty good. Nothing... if you're looking to get away for a reset then this is the place... very quiet and peaceful surroundings... Cheddar Gorge, Longleat, Bath and lots more to do nearby.
Familly (9/5): Will visit again! - Our stay was great and we are definitely staying again when visiting the area, the room was very spacious, clean and welcoming (2 small heaters were on when we arrived and the room was warm). The breakfast was great, we had the cooked options with fresh eggs. The hosts amazing, giving us all the extra information needed. Ample parking space. Self checking was very easy. Loved the chickens and sheep. All was good, nothing negative to say.

Melinda (7/5): Good - It's quiet, peaceful, but so much so that it's almost spooky. We arrived around 7pm and met the first person/staff at breakfast at 9am the next morning. This isn't such a bad thing, but when you arrive in the dark and although you know in advance that it's self check in, but still, when you have a flashlight hanging from your room key.. and you stumble into some strange backyard, the key doesn't seem to open the porch lock.. by then you've already regretted your reservation twice.. then using the right tactics and effort, the lock finally opens.. you feel relieved.. this feeling lasts until you see that no matter how many minutes you let the hot water run from the tap, it's still ice cold.. then the sink tap heats up on the third try, but the bathtub tap still doesn't give hot water.. aha.. it's installed incorrectly.. great, there's hot water.. lots of it.. you feel relieved again.. the stained horrible carpet and the huge flies in the corner on the ceiling are no longer so bothersome (it's mid-February.. I don't even understand).. The bed is clean, though. The bathroom is clean. The room is really big. The radiators are hot, there are two heaters available, you can make it very pleasantly warm. The breakfast is plentiful. This accommodation is worth the price once, but I definitely won't go back, especially because the road from Bath was a complete nightmare. There is only hedgerows along the road for miles, the road is winding and so narrow that if there is oncoming traffic it can be very dangerous.

Our two little girls where our flower girls at our wedding and this was a joint honeymoon to spend some quality time together. The wood for the hot tub was to damp to light the first night but was quickly remedied the second night.

George (10/5): The Vobster Inns youngest ever guest and parents. - We stayed in room 1 which was very spacious and made travelling with a very small baby a lot easier. The host Peta was so welcoming and helpful and made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The location was great for us as we went to a wedding nearby. It's in a lovely setting. There isn't very much phone signal but the hotels WiFi is good. The breakfast was great aswell. There are no negatives for us.

Jessica (10/5): Lovely quiet little chalet. - I really liked the fact that you could hear no traffic noise, no pub noise and no people noise here. We parked the car right near, we used the BBQ, the breakfast was nice. We had personal trouble lighting the hot tub burner but the owners of the inn very kindly helped us out. I was unwell the second day and my partner bought me breakfast to the chalet from the inn and the owner let me sleep in past check in a couple of hours and was really kind. They gave us a future discount if we stay again due to us not managing to light the hot tub and me feeling unwell. These people are so nice. There are some little chickens on the hill near the chalet too. The place is a 20minute drive to Longleat safari park and the centre parcs spa. There is a large Asda no very far away too where we bought the BBQ meat. If you want to stay somewhere quiet, run by nice people, near some attractions and close enough to a supermarket then this is it. The BBQ is under a covered porch and there are outside chairs so you could still have a BBQ and a hot tub even if it's drizzling. Nothing.

Diluni (10/5): I highly recommend this place for family holidays. - The owners at this glamping place were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to major attractions.My children had a fantastic time at the Vobster Inn.

Colin (8/5): Very good - Continental breakfast was lovely. Room was cosy and clean but walls a little thin. A quick game of Boule after breakfast added to a lovely overnight stay in a quaint village. Nothing to add.
