- Xiaofei (2/5): - Die Zimmer waren groß genug aber die komplette Unterkunft war unterirdisch schlecht. Das einzig gute war die Lage. In der Beschreibung hieß es es gibt Parkmöglichkeiten an der Straße was einfach gelogen war. Das empfohlene Parkhaus war auch grausam weil die Karte Zahlung nicht funktioniert hat, man musste in der Nähe Geld abheben, mit hohen Gebühren. In meinem Zimmer waren Schmutzreste vom Vorgänger zu sehen und sehr viel dreck. Es gab nur Gemeinschaftsbäder und Toiletten und die waren zum einen ekelhaft weil alles verschimmelt war und die Toiletten nicht nach Mann und Frau getrennt und dementsprechend sehr dreckig. Der Herd in der Küche hat gar nicht funktioniert. Ich würde diese Unterkunft nie wieder nochmals buchen.
- Hartmut (10/5): - Die Unterkunft liegt in einem Altbau, am belebten Jakubske Namesti, nicht weit vom Freiheitsplatz. Die Unterkunft ist zu Fuß in ca. 10 Minuten vom Hauptbahnhof aus zu erreichen. Die Gegend ist belebt und bietet zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten und Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten. Der Service vor Ort war sehr freundlich und gut. Der Check-in wurde mittels einer App gut vorbereitet und bescheunigt. Vor Ort war alles problemlos. Für Selbstversorger noch der Hinweis, dass zumindest eonige der Appartements nicht über eine Küche verfügen. Ich hatte nur einen Wasserkocher und auf dem Flur gab es Kaffee. Für mich völlig ausreichend.

(10/5): - 旧市街の中心地にあり市内観光に便利な立地です。大きな教会の目の前で眺望も良いです。ブルノ駅からは徒歩かトラムで15分ですが概ねなだらかな道で街並みが綺麗なので負担に感じませんでした。 部屋は専用バスルームのホテル&アパートメント両方に宿泊しました。綺麗に改装されており両方広くて清潔でした。冷房が無いのが心配でしたが27度なら風と扇風機で快適に過ごせました。アパートメントは洗濯乾燥機、キッチン、サウナがついて便利でした。シャワーブースの段差が高いのとシャワーヘッドの蓋が浮いてあらぬ場所から水が出てるのだけ気になりました。 周囲は人気の飲食店や簡易ステージが密集し特に金曜土曜は朝まで話し声や重低音が響き渡ります。私は観光疲れでよく眠れたのでデメリットに感じず、常に人がいる安心感で深夜でも街の散策ができました。 アパートメントですが営業時間中はスタッフが常駐しているしっかりしたフロントデスクでした。スーツケースの預かりサービスや問い合わせの返事も迅速で、雨漏り等いくつかトラブルがありましたがフロントが解決してくれたので問題ありませんでした。英語もバッチリ通じてとても親切でした。 夜うるさくても問題無い人にはおすすめです。ブルノへ行く際はまた泊まると思います。

- clarek253 (10/5): A gem right in the centre of Brno - Two of us were here for 12 nights while one of us was on a training course and I continued to do my online job. We needed a good budget hotel where we could feel comfortable and relaxed. We loved the old-style building, the wooden floors and tiling. There is a reception on the ground floor from 8 am until 10 pm. There are various types of accommodation, ranging from 6-bed hostel style to self-contained apartments. As we were on a budget for a longish stay, we opted for single rooms with shared facilities on the fifth floor. There is an elevator. The shared facilities, which include a communal kitchen, are kept spotlessly clean by a wonderful housekeeping team. On a longer stay I really appreciated being able to make a tea or coffee any time I want, have a light snack while working online, pop out in the morning for some fresh rolls. There is a convenience store right across the road from the hotel, and Billa and Lidl supermarkets just a couple of minutes away on Svoboda Square. There are pubs, restaurants and bars to choose from nearby, as well as the beautiful St. Jakub church right on your doorstep. Our single rooms overlooked the courtyard, so we had no disturbance at the weekends from late-night revellers.

- Alvaro (4/5): - the front desk is in another building, then you have to curry your items to another place 3 doors down. Parking is not available, it's a parking lot about 10 min walk away. I booked this place because the offered parking, not at all. I parked on the street and i asked the front desk person if it was ok for at least to get my luggage out of the car and she said she had no idea even though i took a pic of the sign to show her and kept saying to park in the parking garage. not sure if the get money for sending people over there but if you are dealing with tourists, you should at least know what the parking situation is literally in form of your property. Great location and thats about it. i wouldnt stay here again.

- Filip (10/5): Cozy stay in Brno centre - Very spacious apartment with a beatiful view of a nearby church. The whole place is very nice, clean and you can even use kitchen and laundry machines. Toilets and bathrooms are shared for the whole floor but we haven’t ran into anybody during our 3 day stay. If you are looking for a comfortable and not expensive place to stay in Brno city centre this could be the one.

- Anders Gunnar (10/5): - Den stora lägenheten med takterrass var mycket fin. Charmigt möblerad, ett separat sovrum, kombinerat kök och vardagsrum med diskmaskin, stort badrum med tvättmaskin. Terrassen har bara utsikt uppåt, mot kyrktornen, inte ner mot gatan. Ändå skönt att kunna sitta ute, och bra för rökare. Hotellet är också vandrarhem, och vi hade rum med toa/dusch i korridoren första natten. Fräscha, låsbara dushhytter, men en stimmig tysk skolklass som hade de övriga rummen och ockuperade de gemensamma utrymmena.

- Dylan (10/5): Fantastic apartment in the city centre - Stayed 3 nights in February 24, including the weekend. We stayed in the Classic Apartment, 1 Bedroom, City View. To start, check-in is incredibly simple and can be done online before arrival, so when you do turn up it's merely a case of collecting the keys. The apartment is about as central as you can get, it is right next to St James' Church. The check-in desk is in a separate building but this is only a few metres away and is not an issue. The main train station is 10-15mins away by foot and other transport links are all easily within reach (either bus or tram). You are alsosurrounded by countless options for food and drink. The apartment itself could not be faulted. Very, very spacious and comfortable, modern looking and with a lot of amenities. We were big fans of the coffee machine and really appreciated the washing machine (with easy to understand instructions on how to use). The bed was massive and very comfortable. The shower was also great. You would normally have a fantastic view of the church as well, but sadly it was covered in scaffolding during our visit. The only disappointment was that there is a nightclub that was open on the weekends and you could hear and feel the music throughout the night. Earplugs were provided, but they don't stop it all. In general we're used to sleeping with noise but this could be an issue for others, so bear in mind for weekend stays. Despite this, we would happily stay again and would recommend highly to others.

Very good and centric location, the parking is 5-8 min walk, better to use backpacks or hand bags .. Buttom line - it’s ok ..

- Philip (8/5): 48 hours in Brno - I chose the Apartment with Sauna, not for that reason but I wanted laundry facilities and a quiet unit. On the 6th Floor, the apartment is within a larger building of apartments, not just those of Jacob. The entry route may not attract, but I found it safe. The apartment itself is very spacious, condition dated but everything worked. Other units looked more upgraded. Location is excellent and despite staying on a Friday night, the noise from street level was not an issue. The sauna is a nice touch, used and enjoyed. Weakness - the bed and bedding could do with replacement. The TV is old but does the job and has netflix etc capability. Recommended.

- b2mishra (8/5): Excellent hostel - This place is centrally located, and is very cheap. I stayed in a single room with shared toilets. The place was sparkling clean. The toilets were cleaned multiple times during the day. It is walking distance from everything in Brno, including the train station.

The twin room was spacious and clean and had a lovely view, the living area was gorgeous and the staff were extremely helpful. The location is also fantastic, we could walk to everything we wanted to visit. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone.

Ausstattung zweckmäßig bis spartanisch aber OK. Personal ausreichend freundlich. Absolute Katastrophe - das Frühstück! Bei Ankunft mußte bestellt und auch bezahlt werden! Das Angebot am nächsten morgen war so unvorstellbar armselig, daß man sich auf der Stelle umdrehen und weggehen möchte. Beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Brno werde ich mit Sicherheit eine andere Unterkunft aussuchen.

Náměstí Svobody was just 5 mins on foot. Both the bus terminal at Brno Hotel Grand and the Brno hlavní nádraží can be reached on foot within ~20 and ~30 mins respectively. The room was clean and well lighted. The toilet seems newly renovated, it was very clean and well lighted. Reception staffs was friendly.

- 903cathl (10/5): Great location, friendly staff, character and space - One night only in Brno and so glad we decided on an apartment at Hotel Jacob. The location is very central. Our apartment looks across to Kostel sv. Jakuba, a beautiful church, and there are many places very close to find a beer to enjoy or a meal. The double glazing on the windows makes the apartment quiet when you need to sleep. The apartment itself is large, has a good sized bathroom, washing machine, and kitchen should you need one.

- Yvona (10/5): A fantastic place to stay! - Seeing our apartment on arrival was a wonderful surprise. The apartment is very spacious, clean and fully furnished. There's everything you need in the kitchen for light cooking which saves time and money especially when you're traveling with children. There's a washing machine and dryer there, too! The location in the very centre of Brno is perfect and you can feel the relaxed atmosphere everywhere around you. The staff were always very polite and helpful. The only drawback was the noise coming from the downstairs disco club (a bit noisy until almost 3 am) on Saturday night. Other nights were peaceful and quiet, though. The thick walls ensure you can't hear your neighbours and they can't hear you (or your noisy kids) either. I don't think l'd ever stayed in a better apartment than this! I can happily recommend the hotel to everyone.

- Ondrej (8/5): Apartmán s terasou - Hotel bylo těžší najít a dostat se k recepci poněkud "zvláštní" (nachází se v 5.patře). Na recepci však byl milý a přátelský personál a pokoj...jedna báseň. Možná by snesl místy trochu "obnovit", ale jinak byl krásně zařízený, uklizený, prostorný a člověku se ani nechtělo odjíždět.

Couldn’t fault the cleanliness, although a better (or second) pillow would be nice. Shared showers could have been cleaner, but I’ve seen much worse. Please get some thermostatic showers installed though, I was either frozen or scalded all in a single shower session! Lovely view of the small rural square from the windows, although the “standing bar” that spills out into the streets gets very noisy in the evening. No air conditioning in the rooms, so I had to leave the window open so thankfully I’m a deep sleeper. All in all though, this was a great place to stay, which I would recommend.

- WillRos (8/5): Good, but noisy customers. - The location is excellent since it's near everywhere you'd want to go. The noisy part refers to the other people who were staying there. The crowds outside on the square were expected and after 12:30am then they're gone so I have no problem in that respect since I'm a night owl. What is it with Spanish tourists though? I can understand one group of them who talked loudly in the main room until 3am, but they were gone by the next night to be replaced by another group of Spanish tourists who left at midnight and arrived back at 4am-ish and then proceeded to shout at each other. The reception stops at midnight so all I could do was to ask them to speak quietly which they did for about five minutes. My partner moved her room after the first night (Good job, receptionists!) and was very happy with the place so it was just unfortunate that I got lumbered with noisy tourists. Anyway, it's a good place to stay and after I asked for and got two extra pillows then I can't complain. If you're woken up by sunlight then take a blindfold with you (like the ones you get in long haul business class flights). Don't try to buy a blindfold in Brno because they will think that you're a pervert unless you buy one at Erotic City. Another story. That's it, really. I'd advise the management to have someone on reception 24/7 and replace the gossamer curtains with something that actually blocks light.

The woman at the reception was very nice and check-in was very easy. It was definitely beyond my expectations and above what you would expect of a typical hostel. Would definitely recommend to anyone (especially those who wouldn't consider hostels, since it was such a great price).

My room was a big room with double bed and shared bathroom. It's not a 5* hotel, but you should know what kind of establishment you book. I have nothing bad to say about the place.

- Anon (10/5): Great apartment. Central location. - Lovely stay in an apartment for six people. Two slept on a sofa bed, but this was made up on arrival and very comfortable. Helpful staff and a great location in central Brno.
- Itaewon-dong (10/5): Spacious. - I'd definitely come here again as the location is excellent and the apartments are very spacious and a little bit characterful. The Wifi was excellent. A bit of a treck from my room to the bathroom area but a negligible point in the scheme of things. Very helpful staff. Breakfast might be better skipping if you're after something substantial.

- jirza (8/5): Spacey Art Deco Apartment - Stayed in the Art Deco apartment and was very content. The apartment is perfectly located, really spacey (big bedroom + living room with kitchen), well equipped (including a washing machine, microwave owen, etc.) and has a great view of a square where you can go for a drink. I would definitely recommend the apartment, unless your priority is to stay in a quiet place (the pubs in the square are a bit noisy until late hours).
- Kenneth (8/5): Hostel-like facility with bonus services - Convenient to the town center, and walkable from the train and bus stations, I was surprised to find a hostel. With showers, sinks and toilets out in the common space, and no robes in the room, I was glad I was prepared. (I booked well in advance, so I didn't check before packing.) A Windows 7 Dell tower for common use proved useful for photo backup, despite the Czech language challenge. Laundry facilities, with the staff handling running the machines, providing laundry detergent, moving from washer to dryer very welcome. It was quiet at night, and only a bit noisy with early departures. The bed was comfortable, and there was enough room on the floor to leave a large suitcase open.
- X3193HEandrewm (2/5): Unhelpful and rude. - Attempted to book hostel through booking.com for a 3 day trip. Booking failed on the website so we booked a different hotel. Whilst on holiday i noticed jacob brno had taken €140 from my account, when i queried this i was informed we were charged for a no show. I have no record of booking confirmation in email and have spent 2 days on the phone with booking.com and the hostel. Both parties are attempting to shift blame to the other and no attempt has been made to give a refund or offer any remedy for the failure in the system. Even when challenged with the possibility of involving solicitors, the hostel insists it has followed the law and owes us nothing. Not the hallmark of good customer services in either organisation. Would not reccomend this hostel to anyone. Seeing over and over on the internet that people have had booking issues with this property. Not impressed.
- 361tanjak (6/5): Private rooms are good except for wifi - I booked a dorm but the hostel made a mistake with my booking and I was upgraded to a private room by way of apology. The room was large for a budget venue with a double bed, linen and towels, wardobe, desk, large sofa, and small table, and I was pleased to find that I shared a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom with guests from only 3 other rooms. The staff members I spoke with on arrival were very friendly, and allowed me to check-in early rather than just leave my bag as I had planned, but upon check-out I was served my the manager who was rather rude - first of all insulting my Czech language skills (I am not fluent but can hold a conversation), and then refusing to put my bag in the luggage room even though it is not advertised that an advanced reservation is required. Other small negatives were the weak wifi signal and a small amount of noise from the street below where there are bars with live music. All in all though, given that it's right in the centre with good, clean facilities, I'd stay again.
