Guest Reviews
- Walt (10/5): - Friendly family managers greeted us at check-in. We requested a first floor room and they verified the room was clean before giving us the keys. The king bed room was large with a comfortable chair, fridge and microwave. There were nice lounge areas and chairs outside for relaxing or smoking. The breakfast was a nice set up with a hot area, waffles, drinks and cold options like yogurt. This is the nicest Ft Dodge hotel that I’ve stayed at in this price range. We will stay here again.

- Kristle (10/5): - Had an issue with payment; then issue with communication discussing and owner was so professional and respectful it was error they caught fixed and refunded before I noticed and was so good at helping and explaining to me! Clean! Nice rooms! Comfy beds! Must stay at!!’
- Bobbi (6/5): - The shower curtain did not close all the way and had mold on top corner of curtain. Checking in was not what I would consider attentive or polite. Limited breakfast.
- John (10/5): Unexpected Gem! - I was traveling back from Aberdeen N.D. and needed a place to rest up before hitting the road again. I was delighted to find the hotel so clean and well kept. I wasn't expecting it since I was just looking for a place that was affordable for some rest. Bathroom was clean and there was a deep bathtub great for some relaxation after eight hours of driving. Hot breakfast in the morning with plenty of options. There is a pool, although I didn't get a chance to swim. Nice beds, cold AC. It was quiet while I was staying. I highly recommend
- Teresa M (10/5): Wonderful staff - The staff was very attentive and wanted to make sure our stay was going well!
- Doug (10/5): - We arrived late after a long drive and were greeted and checked in quickly. Very friendly and professional staff. I would stay here again.
- Adam (8/5): - Need to sell alcohol at the hotel.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Would stay here again!
- David (8/5): - Room was very clean, shower, tub and sink were very clean and had very good water pressure. Walls looked like they were newly painted, carpet didn’t look worn or torn. Air conditioner worked great. Everything looked like it was well taken care of. Thanks for the cleanliness!
- Samantha (10/5): - Clean
- Kayla (8/5): - Breakfast wasn't very good and the hotel is right next to a truck stop.
- Kaylee (10/5): - Check in went smoothly, staff was kind and attentive.
- Ed (10/5): - Good value for the price. Complete breakfast and clean facilities with attentive staff.
- Julie (10/5): - Very new and clean hotel!! Nice staff
- James (8/5): - overall good. The toilet in our room needs some attention (it rocks a bit) but everything else was good.
- Heather (8/5): - Dissappointed the hot tub wasn't there anymore and the breakfast options, but everything else was fabulous!
- Tim (8/5): - Staff friendly and helpful. Room large and clean.
- laurie (10/5): - clean, quiet, comfortable. reservation made online and was easy on arrival
- Alicia (6/5): - Breakfast was ok and there was long dark hair on the bathroom floor. It was a place to lay our heads on our cross country move.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Service was excellent.
- Walter (10/5): - Everything thing was fine. Friendly and efficient staff. This is no longer a Country Inn and Suites. It is now Harmony.
- Jamie (10/5): - Clean, quiet, comfortable! Easy check in and check out and the continental breakfast was good. Great stay!
- Shelley (10/5): - Quiet and homey
- Paula (6/5): - all in all not a bad place, me personally probably won't stay again. They really need to up date there room descriptions. the bed was very hard I came home so sore I could barly walk. I stayed for 5 days and half that time the pool was closed for repair. I stayed her so my grandkids could swim as there is not much else to do at this time of year in Fort Dodge.
- Kristil (10/5): - Clean and nice! Amenities were excellent!
- Dennis (10/5): - This property was really nice and clean.
Very quiet and a great place to stay
- Mary (10/5): - Very nice hotel
- Jim (10/5): Good bargain - Nice property, clean and modern.
- Kendra (10/5): - You could tell the hotel had a great team of workers. They were super friendly and accommodating. They always had a smile and you could tell that they worked well together and really did a great job doing there jobs. The shower was pretty good with the endless hot water and good water pressure. There are a few upgrades that are needed. New beds and pillows would be great! And new toilets would really be nice. Maybe a few more pictures. The breakfast was a good selection and having coffee made all day was awesome. The pool could have been warmer. And the price for our stay was great! All in all it was a great experience! Thank you!
- Gaylen (8/5): - Property staff was very friendly and the breakfast options were good. The hotel's Wi-Fi signal was bad.
- Karen (6/5): the web site is not accurate - The morning gal was wonderful. She made sure we had breakfast before our early departure. The reason we booked this hotel was for the hot tub and the breakfast. After booking a non refundable night, we got an email saying there was not hot tub. Up date your pictures...you led us astray.
- Andrew (10/5): - Very clean and quiet
- Douglas (10/5): - Dry welcoming and friendly staff.
Good location.
- Michael D. (10/5): - Clean and remodeling
- Tim (6/5): - The pool thermostat was not working? Maybe? Anyway, the pool water was cold.
- Amanda (6/5): - The staff was great, they are in middle of updating which is good. But the bed was very hard and hurt my back and the satellite tv didnt work. Kept going out.
- sandra (10/5): - The person that checked us in was not very friendly or helpful. The person that checked us out was very helpful! We would stay again.
- Jill (2/5): - the property was good. Check out, not so much, they double charged us for the room. Called the hotel that night an all day today, still havent called me back and still havent corrected to double payment.
- Kimberly (8/5): - Staff liked didnt like the noise
- Andrea (10/5): - As always the wait staff was friendly and informative. The room was clean, we were notified of the remodeling that is being done. The continental breakfast could use a refreshing but overall the stay was fine.
- Mike (10/5): - The staff was very accommodating, polite, friendly, and made you feel at ease. I asked about dining suggestions she gave some great referrals.
Was not happy to find out there was no longer a hot tub as advertised and that the pool was closed.
- Mark (8/5): - The property was conveniently located near shopping. Breakfast options were great. The only things we had trouble with were keycards malfunctioning by not opening our rooms, and the curtains to block out the light from the street was very obscure. We ended up sleeping with blaring lights coming through the window the first night because of the obsurity. So if you stay here. The curtains that shut are behind the sheer curtains packed tightly out of noticeable sight.
- Daryn (8/5): Great Motel - Great place to stay.. with comfortable beds
- Carolyn (10/5): - The front desk staff were super friendly! Everything was clean and lovely!
- Nikole (4/5): - Bathroom was not clean. Gum on the floor and hair everywhere. AC sounds like a siren going off. Noise from upstairs was terrible
- David (10/5): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Loved this little place! Very clean and comfortable! They had fresh coffee all day! 👏👏👏👏
- Helen (8/5): - Pool closed. Fitness equipment not working. General condition some disrepair.
- Krystn (10/5): - Everything was awesome!!
- William (6/5): - Smoke alarm went off when we tried to use the heat. They gave us a different room.
- David D (10/5): - Nice accomodations
- Rae-Allyn (8/5): - Country inn and suites is always dependable- clean, breakfast, etc.. but this property is aged.
- Meche' (10/5): Very pleased - The staff was very nice an accommodated a couple special requests. Place was clean. Enjoyed our breakfast. Would stay again
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Overall room and especially the bathroom lacked basic cleanliness. The pool was out of order for maintenance which caused us to shorten our stay and go elsewhere.
- Ron (10/5): - Great stay
- Teresa (8/5): - I had said I wanted to pay at hotel. They don’t except payment of cash. They had to run a card. Which they did not tell me til checkout and the card I had on for reserve is not the one I would have paid with. The pool area needs update. Other wise a good experience
- Kevin (2/5): - Dirty. Smelled like mildew. Puffy seat on toilet with rips and broken. Moved from side to side when on it.
I wouldn't take shower cause it was so dirty. Air conditioner would not shut off. No adjusting it. It just ran the whole time. Would never stay here again. Not worth the money at all.
- Eric (6/5): - Hotel is nice and staff is friendly. There was a mix up With my room but they upgraded me for free and were very apologetic.
- Brittney (10/5): Not pleased - Very outdated, smelled like mildew, and the door keys had to be fixed 3 times. Hot tub is filled with cement and pool has ton of cracks in the bottom. Breakfast is cold items(cereal, muffins, bagels) plus a waffle machine. Front staff was really nice just unfortunate when you pay $150 for a room that is musty and outdated(carpet matted, no plugs available by bedside, and no bathroom vent)
- Mary (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Clean room. Nice breakfast. Convenient location.
Hot tub was shut down, so we were disappointed about that.
- David D (10/5): - Quiet
- Anne (4/5): - Dirty property, why no daily housekeeping service????? Waas told they only will do it every 5th day !!!! Banister on steps from 2nd floor wobbly (a liability) NO Elevator, dirty and OLD carpeting, had to walk down to main floor for ice (not good for seniors with issues), room not vacumned well. This hotel needs a total facelift!!!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR STAY HERE AGAIN.....NOT WORTH THE MONEY, AND THEY SHOULD REDUCE THEIR RATES FOR LACK OF DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES EACH DAY I PAY A ROOM RATE. A REAL RIPP OFF!!
- Erin (6/5): It was fine - The woman at the front desk was friendly. Room was clean. Towels were clean but super worn out, to the point of being really thin. Breakfast offerings were just fine.
The exercise room they say they have...a working treadmill, that is it. Elliptical not plugged in, so almost useless, the only other "TRX" type thing was broken. No mats, weights, or anything else at all.
- Kalynn (8/5): - Great place. Seemed a little pricey
- Janet (8/5): - Staff was awesome. No elevator. Pool was out of service. Found litter in our room and toilet needed cleaning. Breakfast was pitiful.
- trinida (10/5): - Close to everything. The staff was friendly and the room was big. The other guest were friendly on more than one occasion someone offered to help carry my stuff. The breakfast was good. I liked the fireplace with the coffe stand when you walk into the entrance. I slept great.
- Taylor (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and happy. This makes a stressful day much less stressful when you are greeted with smiles and manners! The property was clean. The rooms were big. It fit out needs for the short time we were there.
- Amanda (6/5): - Absolutely no hot water in the bathroom. Both times I have stayed here.
- Susan (10/5): Room 121 - The room was clean, though the sheets didn't want to stay on the bed. The view was a fence.
Even after they tried to fix it, we kept having issues with the key card.
Staff was friendly & helpful.
- Kimberly (8/5): - Last power on Wednesday the 15th stayed the 16/17! Very friendly staff! I would recommend them to others to stay! Could use some updating since it is 20 years old but overall it was a great place to stay!
- Heather (10/5): - Very nice and clean. Quite rooms but centered perfectly in town. Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating.
- Matthew (6/5): - There were no USB charging ports available, there was a smoking area right next to the front door where I had to walk thru smoke each time I entered or exited the hotel, no elevator so me with bad knees trying to cart my heavy bags upstairs was a problem, there was a light in a plug I couldn’t turn off and there was a weird odor
- Gigi (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful.
- Angela Dawn (10/5): - Very nice staff
- Melissa (10/5): - It was really just a nice place to stay
- Diane (10/5): Amazing - Best sleep i have had in months . Breakfast was good too .
- Samuel (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Will not return. Horrible breakfast. Cleanliness very low. Location old and tired. Needs a remodel. Only positive was the staff was friendly. However, when I asked about being out of pancake batter before 9, the lady was unhappy she needed to make more. The breakfast is a joke! Too expensive for what you get.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay - but needs a refresh - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property is a bit tired and needs a refresh. Our room was not completely prepared (e.g. no bath towels, cleaners left in room) but the staff immediately addressed the issue.
- Cori (8/5): Comfortable stay - While the hotel could use some updating/modernization, it was clean and comfortable and the room was a good size. The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
- Debbie (10/5): Great Stay, Friendly & Comfortable - Very friendly staff, no problems at all. Very clean facility. Just wished the front door was automatic.
- Jennifer (6/5): Stay - The room could of been a little cleaner.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No elevator. Cold coffee. Same biscuits and gravy breakfast every day. Broken sign on front. Full trash cans. Very limited housekeeping. However the staff are friendly. The a/c works. Good shower.
- Michael (10/5): - Comfortable bed linens and pillows.
- Christopher (6/5): - Pool and hot tub closed. If I would have known that would have booked elsewhere. Only hot thing for breakfast was biscuits and gravy
- Katherine (8/5): Pretty Good Stay - Only problem was the carpeting was filthy. Worked out in my room barefoot and bottom of my feet were black. Yuck!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Room I was signed up for appeared to have an issue or be unavailable. Another room with an upgrade of a fireplace was offered. The fireplace didn't work and there was no maintenance person on staff to address it. The jacuzzi tub had some sort of black sticky substance in it which got all stuck in my hair.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was clean.
Didn't like thin walls and noisy guests. Felt like we were part of the party all night. Some guests were propping open the back door and smoking allowing the smell to drift into the building.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The walls were kind of thin.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice place to stay - Friendly staff, very clean rooms, would stay again
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Pool, hot tub and fitness center all closed. Even if the gym was open, 2 out of 4 machines were broken. Little variety for breakfast. Super loud guests. Air conditioning semi worked.
- lorena (6/5): - the pool and the hot tub was no in service. it was the only think that I didn't like it about this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and friendly!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and professional. I felt very safe and well taken care of during my stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The pool was closed.
- Ronald Schmidt (8/5): - Room layout was nice. Thinking that even with covid situation breakfast could have been more.
- Rick (10/5): - We were in town to attend a funeral and requested a late checkout so we could change into traveling clothes after the funeral. They told us they were very sorry for our loss and to stay as long as we needed.
- SusanC (6/5): - Only one staff member was vigilant about mask wearing ... didn’t see a mask on a single other employee in four days :(
Beds were super hard so if that’s your thing you’ll be in heaven. Thankfully Walmart is close by so we bought a mattress topper so we could sleep without feeling our age ...
- Kimberly (8/5): - Pool was closed due to issues with chemicals. But staff were vert very helpful and pleasant
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant - Thank you for a clean nice room!
