Guest Reviews
- Brian (10/5): Had the best time! I will definitely go back - Loved the shore cottages! Enjoyed sitting out on the back deck watching the sunset This isn’t really a complaint, but it was a long walk to get to even the back entrance of the park! Still not a complaint
- Caswell (10/5): -
- Haley (8/5): - Location close to cedar point entrance, beautiful scenery and view of some of the coasters from here. staff was friendly and free shuttle bus, and nice kitchen area in cabin. Cabin was not totally clean, some dead bugs on the curtains when we lowered them and spiderwebs/ dust in cabin but that's not totally unexpected in a cabin though, so not a big deal.
- Chelsea (10/5): Beautiful place better than breakers - Clean cabin Prices are steep
- Carla (8/5): - How close it was to the amusement park. That we didn't stay a little bit longer.
- Alyssa (7/5): Was good enough for one night - Location Front porch wasn’t clean.. unsittable. Cottage was just ok. For the money I paid for one night I expected more.
- Diane (7/5): Okay if you just want a very close place to the park. - The location to the amusement park and waterpark is fantastic. The beach was a short walk. The price is way too high for the services and accommodations. They advertised your own pool but is really not close for walking distance, and was closed most of our visit. They said we could not use any other pool on their properties. My daughter got in the pool and was told immediately the water was too acidic and to get out quick! NO sign was posted! The so called sofa beds in the living room were as hard as sleeping on the wooden floor. Bathroom was tiny and shower was out of soap. NOTHING in the kitchen, no soap, utensils,...nothing, just small fridge and microwave. We had to get in the car and go to the office to "check out" a hair dryer. Small area over head (for sleeping maybe?) was only three feet tall, The pictures make it look bigger than it is. Early entry advertised three coasters but only two were running.Last year we stayed in their lakefront cabin which was nicer. Overall disappointing but we really appreciated walking to the park and beach.
- Gail (1/5): - Cabin was too small couldn’t stand up straight. Didn’t allow to check in even though room was clean Nothing
- Elvira (10/5): -
- Lenore (10/5): Loved the morning water views - The views and convenience to the park were fabulous They spruced it up but the beds were worn out
- Shannon (4/5): Nearly 500 dollars to freeze all night? - Location and space It was freezing and heat unable to go above 60
- Dayanara (10/5): -
- Athene (7/5): - That it was walking distant to cedar point. N/
- Ihor (10/5): -
- Martin (10/5): -
- Dawn (9/5): - Shuttle service, comfortable cabin ?
- Emily Schultz (10/5): -
- Holly (2/5): - These cabins are very outdated. We also entered our cabin to find hundreds of midges flying around it as someone left the outside light on that was attracting them. We paid a lot of money for this cabin and were very unimpressed. This was one of the Deluxe cabins.
- Zachary (10/5): - Really loved our 3 day stay here. My only (very small) complaint is the amount of spider/cob webs inside the cabin. Something that would be easily taken care of to make the stay that much more comfortable. The grounds are incredibly clean and visually pleasing. Fantastic sunset views and a great view of Cedar Point's best coaster. Being able to ride some of the world's best rides and only having a 5-10 minute walk to get back to the property is unbeatable!
- Chris (10/5): - Cabin was amazing. Quick walk to the park.
- Adam (6/5): - The structure is small and cramped. A normal size adult can barely use the shower.
- Briceno (7/5): buena - la cabaña en general esta muy bien lo unico malo la limpieza muchas telarañas
- Joseph (7/5): - Hour early entry Ne entrance closer to campground closer for walking distance closer to back of park would be nice no bus needed
- Katie (10/5): - Easy, quick walk to the park. Quiet, very clean. Staff was all friendly.
- Daniel James (10/5): - Good
- Leonard (10/5): - Being so close to Cedar Point and waking up to Magnum XL was awesome.
- Jessica (10/5): - Love the cabins on the water, fast customer service when we needed towels and pillows, I would suggest after 2 days doing a towel pick up and giving refreshed towels but when we called for more they were so wonderful at getting those right to us. The pizza was very good and such a nice option, hot tub and pool were clean
- Terry (10/5): Relaxing stay in a busy park - The Lighthouse Point cottages at Cedar point are a better deal than the Breakers Hotel. Only a 10 minute walk to park or short shuttle ride. It’s more private, great porch on lake and so quiet at night. (Coaster fans will enjoy the sound of Steel Vengeance) There is a grill, a parking space at your cottage and did I mention a porch on the lake. Plus early entry to park. No more Breakers for me.
- Roberta (10/5): - The futon was not very comfortable but I didn’t sleep on it so my review is very favorable. I wish we would have known there were no hangars provided. I would have brought some but we made do.
- Amanda (6/5): - Cabin was cute great location Clean better
Clean better
- Xavia (10/5): - I reserved the Deluxe Cabin at the cedar point lighthouse. I was nervous from some of the reviews but my stay was exceptional. Staff friendly and accommodating. No stove or utensils as stated in another review but you just have to bring your own paper ware including plates, cups utensils etc… there’s a microwave, fridge and sink. Beautiful pretty and walking/shuttle ride to water/amusement park. I loved the property. Pool and hot tub available. They provide pool towels so… beds hard but I did get extra pillows. RV space available right there and nice. Little convenience shop had a lot to offer. Including bags of ice. I was happy. Two full sized bathrooms right there and tubs look good enough to take a bath if you wanted. Heating/coloring on point. Showers are low but nice. pressure good and hot water if needed. I mean property RIGHT THERE on property of Cedar point and the water park. Can let the kids take shuttle to park and come back on their own if responsible enough. I’d love to come back. And I will!!
- William (10/5): - Close to park
- Carol (7/5): Delightful family experience. - Location and easy access to both parks. Cleanliness of parks and accommodations. Accommodation views were great. Musty odor in accommodations which could be from being closed up and feel in winters mattresses lackluster.
- Trevor (8/5): Lighthouse Point was the perfect place to stay at Cedar Point—beautiful lake views, clean and cozy cabins, and super clo - The cabins were clean, cozy, and felt private compared to staying in a hotel. If you’re visiting Cedar Point and want the convenience of being close while still having a quiet place to relax, Lighthouse Point is a great choice. I’d definitely stay here again. I wish the porch had more comfortable seating. It only had on large hard metal table.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The cabins are pretty nice, very close and cheaper than the hotel breakers. They were very short on blankets, luckily we had some in the car. We went to the pool the day we checked out and it was gross, tons of dead bugs like no one ever cleans it. More dead bugs in the bathrooms there and we had checked out already. But where we stayed was clean and I would stay there again.
- Jeanne (10/5): -
- Lourdes (8/5): - Liked the proximity to Cedar Point, walking distance. Pool was nice too. Didn't realize there were no utencils (basic items) in the kitchen like few bowls, plates, cups.
- Tammie (9/5): -
- Allison (10/5): - It was great!
- Ashley (10/5): - We love staying here when visiting Cedar point, lots of great benefits. Four out of five stars on cleanliness, but would stay here again.
- Litz (1/5): -
- Melissa (8/5): Great little getaway - The cabins are absolutely perfect for family vacations! (Or for a couple for that matter! ) They’re so quaint, and you really feel tucked away back in the serene environment and gorgeous atmosphere. Being close to the park where it’s easy to walk in and out really makes it a great element to your Cedar point vacation. Our biggest issue was that the deluxe family cabin with the loft, did not include a hairdryer. That just seems very strange, considering the smaller cabins along the water due. When we realize this at 7:45 AM, we called the front desk and they let us know there was nothing they could do because housekeeping does not open till nine. That was the only major hiccup in our stay. Lastly, in the wording, on booking.com. It does state “each cabin is outfitted with a private pool “, which is not true, lol. There is a pool on site, but definitely not for each cabin. I would also like to remind people that there is only paper coffee, cups, and we did not even have dish soap, which was maybe an oversight, but no plates or plastic/silverware of any kind in the room.
- Robert (8/5): - This was a cute and spacious little cabin. Our description from the listing said “Lake Side” and we were disappointed it wasn’t on Lake Erie, but only near a small pond.
There were a few ants in the kitchen area. We were careful not to leave food out.
We appreciated the two bathrooms, but the bath soap dispenser was empty and we had to go to the office for refills.
Overall, a nice comfortable stay.
- Mike (10/5): - Very clean staff was great
- Diane (10/5): - Our cabin was perfectly located. Short walk to the water park and entrance to the main park. The kids loved the bunk beds and we loved the ability to park our car right in front of the cabin. We will stay here again!
- Bruce (6/5): - They need to put cabin reserved parking signs up if you leave some one steels your spot . The out side further needs replaced or cleaned up. Need a place to put thash.
- Lynn (9/5): Superb -
- Roud (9/5): highly recommended for family or couples - the concept and view the sofa bed was old but still comfortable.
TV was not working
I wish the fridge has freezer
- Ryan (5/5): Passable -
- Michele (8/5): Overall, love these cute cabins. Very convenient to go back and forth to the park. - Very convenient location to the park! Very nice view and overall highly recommend for best park experience. Cabin was clean as far as bedding and areas that are open to the eye. Very, very dusty under the furniture and dust falling out of the vents. Refrigerator needed cleaning, especially the freezer. Only had decaf coffee in room, called guest services to bring regular coffee, they said they would bring some and never came.
- Michelle (4/5): Dirty, expensive, uncomfortable - Proximity to cedar point, walkable. Super overpriced for a questionably clean and uncomfortable room. Also, the “private pool” note in the listing is a lie, it’s a dirty, algae filled pond shared with several other rooms.
Staff is not well trained or knowledgeable about basic questions re: the property and park. Room was kind of dirty for the price paid. Found old snacks in the pull out beds, didn’t have enough bed linens to make the pull out beds upon arrival.
- Michelle (4/5): Overpriced, dirty, uncomfortable, easy park access. - Proximity to cedar point - easy to walk there.
- Rick (10/5): - wonderful cabin on the water!
- Jodi (10/5): Once you get there, you never want to leave! - Beautifully maintained, very walkable, close to the parks entrances. The camp store could be larger so that it sells more.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great experience overall - Our family stay was an overall great experience.
- Aaron (10/5): - Had a great time here with my family to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The cabin for us all perfectly and room for snacks and drinks for breaks between rides on a hot day. The early entry to the park was a huge plus! We will stay again.
- Jayme (6/5): - Cottages were outdated and dirty
- Kiley (2/5): - The room was dusty and dirty. The futon was bare and was only provided a sheet to cover the stained mattress with. Also, the shower never drained so you had to stand in a puddle of water everytime you took a shower. Also, there was bugs in shower and everywhere. Also, bed was very hard and the metal frame it sat on stuck out for far and was very sharp it cut my husbands foot. Very disappointed and won’t be returning.
- Stacy (9/5): Cute cabins and nice experience - Location was great. Walkable from Cedar Point. Had a lake front cabin. Beds not comfortable and only a double not a queen.
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (7/5): Convenient but pricey - It was great to be able to walk to the park. The location on the lake with a view of some roller coasters was terrific. Areas in between cabins were full of colorful plants with many birds. The shuttle system was confusing & not explained at all. Kitchen did not have anything beyond basic appliances. We're happy we stayed there but the price was very high. It would be nice to have food options right on site. An EV charging station would also be nice.
- Jeremy (8/5): Very good - The location and the pond. The bathroom was small for me I'm 6'-3" but was nice.
- Lisa (6/5): - Cottage on water with view of lake very nice. Cottage was clean. Pool was extremely dirty. 2 people in our house were sick after using pool. No soap in kitchen sink, only decaf coffee.
- Alaata (9/5): Superb - Love the location. To cedar point.
The air worked, which was great. They didn't clean it before hand. Had spider webs in the corners and there was a old towel we find by the kitchen light.
Yuck WELL WATER..
- Timothy (10/5): - Terrific experience. The waves from lake combined with Cedar Point amusement park make for an incredible time.
- Jamie (10/5): - Shower was small with some mold spots. View was exceptional and great location.
- Kelvin (4/5): - Cleaning is an issue ! Really needs a deep clean before they let a new family stay
- Mark (10/5): - Will definitely come back
- Ronda (7/5): Love the cabin but not the smell - Loved being on the lake and a great view.. This is our 2nd year. Loved that we can walk to Cedar Point and walk around the lake. The cabin we had this year was very musty smelling and mold growing on the vent. It also hadn't been cleaned under the sink area for awhile. I do understand that it is near the lake and damp, but a good cleaning would help. If anyone has allergies or breathing issues, you wouldn't be able to stay in this cabin due to the smell.
- Danessa (7/5): Great location, cute accommodations, needs more TLC with comfort, but would still recommend staying. - Location, location, location. The proximity to a side entrance gate and the ability to easily walk into the park made this the perfect location. The full-size bed in the bedroom was extremely uncomfortable. not only because it was small, but the mattress was very poor. I think they need to work through how to fit in a queen size bed by making the bunk bed frames less clunky creating more space.
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was very helpful and friendly.. The cabins are nice, clean and roomy. My family and I love staying there. There was nothing, I didn't like about the place.
- Mike (4/5): Does not sleep 10 people - Very uncomfortable - We received confusing, highly contradictory, incorrect, and overly complicated instructions about the check-in process. Also, the property is advertised as sleeping 10, which can only be true if all ten people are leprechauns or paedomorphic grey aliens, because the two queen beds 'upstairs' are under a roof that is only about 2 feet from the top of the bed. Even small children had a hard time sleeping up there. And if you are claustrophobic, this is a horrible sleeping experience.
- Katrina (10/5): - We stayed in the cottages on Lake Eerie, but all of the areas of Lighthouse Point looked very well cared for and landscaped. The Cottage was decorated nicely and we enjoyed sitting on our deck watching the boats go by. It was cloudy and cool while we were there but we did notice there would be no shade in the afternoon/evening. The cottages were very well designed and thought out. Our family of four (two young adult kids) were comfortable for three nights. My only complaint is that the cottage could have been a bit cleaner, but not in any way that would gross you out. All the important stuff was clean.
- Heather Marie (10/5): - Amazing experience! 10/10 unmatched camping spot
- Heidi (6/5): Convenient and cozy, but not up to cleanliness standards. - You simply can’t beat the location of the waterfront cabins. Within walking distance to the park, shuttles available, and a really nice pool and hot tub just for campground guests. The beds are also actually pretty cozy too. So while I usually love LP, unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience. My son has a dust mite allergy that we just discovered a few months ago. Turns out he’s a literal dust detector because he almost went into an asthmatic attack from the extremely visible dust. The bunk beds in particular were covered. Also, we came back to the room and had some snacks in a bag. There was a huge line of tiny ants crawling into the bag and all over the snacks, inside the room.
- Rhoads (10/5): Exceptional -
- William Chad (10/5): - Absolutely loved our stay in the cabin!! Highly recommend it and we will be back for sure!!
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phillip (10/5): - Its so close to the park. It’s really nice being able to park by the cabin! I love it at lighthouse point!
- Jacquelyn (10/5): - Very clean and family friendly
- Antonio (6/5): Okish - Perfect location to access the amusement park, very nice views of the lake from the cabine front porch Very old cabins in need for remodelling - the cabin we booked was supposed to fit 6 peoples (4 adults and 2 kids) but it’s a long stretch, there isn’t enough space and beds are too small - there are not even enough chairs to sit. Questionable value for money (but again, prices are dynamically changing so it really depends on the deal you will manage to get)
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Brandy (8/5): Very good -
- Kyle (10/5): - Loved
- Nancy (9/5): It was nice first time we ever stayed in the cabins just didn’t like the ANTS - The rooms were very nice -
We called out for food had them delivered as soon as we started eating the food - ANTS 🐜 SHOWED UP EVERYWHERE my daughter took her soda upstairs and a school of ants covered the soda kinda gross The ANTS 🐜
- jodie (8/5): - Close to park good customer service upstairs in cabin unusable good store luggage shower was so tiny so bath other rhan that it was great
- Kayle (10/5): Great family trip - Everything very nice Nothing everything was amazing
- Amber (5/5): THEY LOOK IN WINDOWS TO SEE IF YOU'VE CHECKED OUT OR NOT!!!!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!! - I loved how cozy it was and very clean. I did NOT like the fact that the cleaning crew came onto the porch at 9am (2 hours before checkout) to look in the window to see if we were still there. My family and I felt violated, especially for the fact the my 11yo daughter was changing at this time!! I told the lady at the front desk and I was told I would be compensated for the inconvenience.. I have not heard anything since and my daughter is still freaked out by this!!!!
- Lingjia (9/5): Superb - Beautiful lake view. Lots of space. Closeness to the park and the lake Mosquitoes
- Kelly (7/5): Good - Bath houses were immaculate. Cottage was nice, beautiful view on the lake So expensive...can only afford 1 night. Would have stayed longer but way too much money per night
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tara (9/5): Superb -
- Amy (6/5): Great location but needs an upgrade for the price. - Great location. Quiet cabin. The bed was slanted to the side. The tub drain was plugged and very slow to drain. The pool that was supposed to be open until 11pm was closed at 8pm
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Our cottage on the lakefront had a beautiful view of the lake. We loved the convenient shuttle service at the resort. Some problems we had were a very stained, dirty futon in the living area, blood stain on sheet, no regular coffee for the coffee maker and no hangers in the closet. The outdoor grounds were beautiful. The pool was nice but a little dirty. The resort needs to work on maintenance issues.
- Cheryl (8/5): - overall a wonderful stay but not very clean
- Lisa (10/5): - Location, Location, Location. The view from deck was beautiful, so relaxing to just sit and enjoy the view. The cutest tiny house ever and so well layed out. I would definitely recommend and return again. They have a shuttle to Cedar Point and Beach so can just leave car sit. Its so close you could even walk.
- Amanda (10/5): - Person a check in was wonderful and very informative
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Lori (10/5): Comfortable - It was close to the amusement park. Shuttle
And it was enough what we needed
