Val (6/5): - The room was okay but the bed was hard and the sofa bed was terrible. You couldn't sleep on it because you could feel the mattress springs throughout the bed. There were cobwebs everywhere, old curtains that should have been thrown out along with the sofa bed. The positive was the lake and it's beautiful beaches.

Thomas (10/5): - A lovely property to stay at for the price we paid. Parking was a bit difficult as our vehicle is quite large and the spots were quite small. The room was comfortable, we heard a lot of noise during the time spent - could have been the air conditioners from above rooms. The check in personal were so friendly and accommodating - we arrived 1 hour early and they let us check in. All in all, if looking for a place to sleep for several hours, the Sunny Beach motel met our requirements.

Convenient parking although it's very tight. The only suggestion I would make is having a TV in the bedroom, but there is a TV in the living area.

DeniseandMatty (2/5): - I stayed with them Thursday and Friday, Saturday they were fully booked (as I expected on a long weekend) but to return Sunday to Tuesday. The lady at the front desk was wonderful and as I had just had back surgery, the bed was quite comfortable and the room was clean so I could rest. On Sunday I had sent a message asking for an early check in and at 2:50pm they said "will do" & at 3:40pm I arrive to check in and was asked to wait outside. I thought how strange then a guy came out and told me they put me on a do not rent list... I ask why as I hadn't done anything for that to happen. I don't smoke or drink. He proceeded to explain that a housekeeper found something to do with drugs but wouldn't tell/show me what or where. No one called to say this they waited till 4pm and I was laying in bed recovering from my back surgery the week before. How embarrassing and very untrue. I told him he was wrong, I don't do anything like that and it must have been the person there Saturday night! I will never pay to be humiliated again by this horrible motel!!!

It’s old and very much like renting an old cottage.. staff woman I dealt with on August 19.th was so nice and helpful. I Wish I could remember her name. Mid 60s lady was as pleasant as can be. I thought she was the owner as she was so helpful and went above and beyond helping me. It’s Too bad not all hotels could have someone so nice working for them. I stayed in many hotels this vacation, and this lovely staff lady was far more pleasant and helpful than other hotels where I dealt with the owners themselves. I hope this employee is valued . She deserves it. Very cute area. I’d go back .

We got rid of the spider but we won’t be back… the staff were great in accommodating us with our late arrival, so thanks for that..

The whole place needs a complete Reno and even though they were discounted rates, it’s still a very old motel. obviously the best feature is the fact it’s a block away from the beach.

We were passing through town for one night & it provided for our needs. Staff was excellent, price was great & the location was great. Nice walk to the local along the beach. Wonderful to watche teams and families enjoying the summer evening playing ball and soccer etc. pleasant and safe.
Donna (4/5): - The room was not clean, baseboards had spiders, couch had many holes in it. It was rented to two people but only had 1 fork. On Saturday we did not have our room cleaned. Had to ask about in the evening and they gave me new towels, etc. Table around edges peeling. Could barely get around table as holey couch was near table. No room to move. No heat so had to get that started on Friday evening. No remote to shut off A/C so had to stand on couch and then could barely see it.. No counter space because microwave took up counter and then they had to put, coffee maker, all on top of microwave. WiFi all on top of microwave. It was not suitable for $222.00 including tax per night

Mattress in the bedroom was super comfortable, not so much the hide-a-bed. My friend said it was the worst bed she's ever slept on, might as well slept on cement. Phone in room did not work, had to have help come and get the TV working. AC was wonderful. Quiet, safe location.

Verified traveler (2/5): - Asked for family suite for four days, got no stove. Cell with a window that didn't open,is what we got. We went out for dinner and all other plans cancelled. Next day we checked out to move into another suite with a stove for 48hrs. We would have to move again if we wanted to stay. Jacuzzi tub and pool, yeah no.ok bye bye. No discount. Enjoy your stay... somewhere else.

This must obviously be run by a slumlord. And of course no one is around during the check out window each day. Just a note on the door to leave your room keys in the mail slot. No wonder they make you pay everything up front when you check in. We wont be back to any of the motels there owned by same company.

Overall the room was clean but much smaller "suite" than depicted. Property is an older facility with great proximity to the beach. Janet (2/5): - Had asked for a ground floor room, unfortunately all the kitchen suites were on the second floor we were in room 202 and the parking spot was as far away as it could be. We had called 2 days before arriving, explaining that my husband was recovering from knee surgery. They could have given us a room with a closer parking spot. Every piece of crockery was mismatched. We had 6 desert spoons , no teaspoons, 1 red martini glass, 2 regular glasses, no wine glasses, 1 tiny mug and 1 large mug. Poured water in the coffee machine and it poured right out the bottom of the machine. Requested a new macine from the receptionist who was sitting outside smoking, she advised me that she would send a new one to the room right away. We were out for a couple of hours, when we arrived back, no new coffee machine. Called receptionist she told us she'd forgotten, sent 1 straight up, somehow the pour spout was sitting right next to the handle at the back. We made it work. This motel is very old and jaded, with nothing being done to make it attractive. We have stayed in the cheaper basic room and it was fine, wished we had booked that again especially as we never used the kitchen. For some reason I understood that half of the money had been paid and we only had to pay the balance of around $177. Was advised that we still owed the full amount, which we paid.

Carrie (10/5): Helpful staff and amazing location - I was impressed by the extra mile all the staff went to make us feel welcome and comfortable, from offering to let us charge our EV using their AC charger by the office to letting us store our bikes in their shed, I felt they went out of their way to be hospitable. Location cannot be beat; 1 min walk to the beach and lake. The two bedroom layout worked well for us compared to traditional two beds in hotels. I would definitely stay at Sunny Beach Motel again!
Paul (10/5): - A quaint and humble property with amazing front counter staff.Walkable to the beach and park.
John (10/5): - Great place to stay, would highly recommend. They are also very considerate of theirs guests to make sure our rooms were good to go and we had parking too.
