Guest Reviews
- Batler (7/5): -
- Darren (10/5): -
- Sunshine (4/5): - The location and price There was no staff on hand when we arrived had to call for someone to come after booking through booking..com you would expect someone to be there no coffee machines in room no information in rooms on where to eat or what is open don't really offer much for your stay
- Sarvesan (10/5): -
- Tracey (6/5): Overall an okay stay. - It is a nice location and they have made several improvements. Cleanliness, when using the pull out couch, the mattress protector was dirty/dusty and had stains on it. More attention is needed to open these up and clean them between rentals.
- Bruce (5/5): - NO BREAKFAST OFFERED I was in the last room farist from the office. The wifi did not work.
- John (9/5): We'd recommend it to our vriends - We were quite happy with everything.
- Catherine (7/5): Itโs ok but far too expensive for what it offers - Close to town centre No coffee maker in room
- Alma (7/5): Great location close to a TH and the plaza of the town. Dusty but comfortable. - Itโs In a great location! Staff friendly and helpful. So dusty.
- Vieira (9/5): Comfortable and convenient - Always a comfortable stay! Right in the heart of Wiarton.
- Colleen (6/5): - Pet friendly Thin walls, noisy
- Taylor (5/5): Fine for a one night stay when youโre on the road, but I wouldnโt want to stay here for any longer than that - Very handy to the highway and close to Wiarton It was rather grungy and needed some updating. The bed was very comfortable though.
A large group decided to have a very noisy party out at the fire pit, which was just off from our room. Thank goodness for the rain which sent them indoors.
- Svitlana (7/5): - I enjoyed all my spending nights there! It was clean, very polite stuff. The beds were very comfortable :) They probably need to change their lockers on the doors. It's hard to open the door
- Dr Sabrina Saunders (10/5): - Dog friendly. Recently renovated. Very comfortable
- Chaudhry (9/5): -
- Graham (8/5): -
- Eyad (1/5): Do not book even if this is the last place on earth - Nothing really Dirty and in a very bad condition, no facilities, and insects inn the room.
- David (8/5): - Location
- Daniel (1/5): We left after an hour! - Was travelling with a group of four and booked two rooms to stay one night. From the very first look, the rooms did not feel clean though they smelled of heavy cleaning products. So much so that we had to open the windows to let in some fresh air. The furnishing were old and did not feel clean or well maintained, missing light bulbs, hair in the sink upon arrival and so on. One of the room's layout did not make any sense, it had two entry doors and two bathrooms, an entrance hallway with a sofa which was meant to be the sitting area (no coffee/side tables or any other furnishings) and there was no TV in the room though you could hear the TV very clearly from an adjoining room (or the lobby?)The room had not been finished so trim around the doors and window was missing. The lobby was dark and like a storage area. The room rates did not reflect the condition and cleanliness of the rooms and were definitely not value for money. A very expensive booking for an unpleasant experience, our group decided it would be better to drive all the way to Toronto rather than spend a night here. This place may be fine if you are on a budget (though it wasn't chea) and just need a place to crash. It is not for someone looking for a comfortable relaxing motel on a country getaway.
- Alice (8/5): - Was able to have my dog with me
- Lori (9/5): -
- Rodrigues (3/5): Never again - Room was small and Cramped. Linens weren't clean. I was terrified we were going to get bed bugs although we didn't thankfully. Room was extremely overpriced. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Never again.
- Manjinder (10/5): - We loved our stay.
- Kashish (10/5): - Everything else was pretty good. Just the air conditioner was not working it was very hot during night
- RoseMarie (8/5): - The pool I had to leave a day early when I paid a full 4 day stay .. well, I was asked to leave the property.. I should get that one night stay full refund.
Please!! Help me
- Alan (5/5): Served as a base for hiking on the Bruce. Clean and quiet basic accommodations. - No breakfast. Mattresses and pillows were comfortable. Nice to have fire pits. Quiet except for fireworks one night at midnight. Met my expectations for a small town motel. Breakfast not available.
- cynthia (6/5): Fine for a rest - The staff is great and there have been several upgrades.
It is your typical motel a place to sleep and go.
It was close enough to go back to Tobermory but as usual the summer pricing is quite high
- Joanna (8/5): -
- Ruby (8/5): - It was nice place
- Carranza (7/5): - My mom visited us from Colombia and we stayed at the Willys Inn during my vacation in Tobermory. It was very nice. I felt safe with my family. The room was clean. It has a refrigerator and microwave, which was very useful. It has air conditioning and a large green area where you can barbecue and have a fire pit. We also enjoyed the pool, which, although small, we liked. Daily housekeeping is included. I highly recommend it.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Beautiful property, pool was wonderful! Room was clean and spacious. 3min to the heart of Wiarton.
- Thomas (6/5): - Could of been cleaner inside
- hans (4/5): - Rooms and bathroom, outside area were not clean
- Mane (10/5): -
- Charit (8/5): - Good place to stay for 1-2 nights
- Sameh (5/5): -
- Laura (6/5): - Mixed bag!
Pros: firepits and open grassy area were nice. Landscape was pretty, motel was quiet, staff were friendly. A/C was good, beds were decent, nice to have a pool.
Cons: pool was exceptionally dirty. Not only algae overgrowth but literally pieces of garbage floating around in it. Outside grounds also had a fair bit of garbage. Room had a broken smoke alarm hanging from the ceiling. Bathroom was kinda grungy.
- Sethi (9/5): -
- Reiger (10/5): - The staff there are great and helpful they even sell firewood for there fire pit was awesome and what the star and would gladly go back there in fall time and next summer as well cheers ๐ฅ
- Sonia (2/5): - We had originally booked an inn closer to Tobermory and they unexpectedly had a fire so we had to find something else very short notice.
This was 77 kms away and we had to do that roundtrip twice in order to do the activities we had planned. There was only a tiny fridge and microwave in the room and that's it. We stayed 3 nights and one of the nights it was $395. That was crazy expensive for what you get. We stayed in room number 5 and let me tell you it was an absolute nightmare. The entrance door didn't close well, it almost seemed like the door was too big for the frame, it was so difficult to close. The door had a hole under and bugs would come in from there throughout the day. The toilet seat was so loose i nearly fell off.. the sink was loose, badly connected to the pedestal. The spout in the bathtub was very loose.
And the tub was dirty. The towels had suspicous stains on them, almost like they don't use bleach to disinfect them properly.
The pool wasn't well maintained, the water was foggy and slimy.
The 3 nights we stayed there came out to almost 1000$, which is absolutely ridiculous for the conditions the room was in.
My honest piece of advice, please consider this hotel as a last resort. You're better off spending your money somewhere in better shape than this.
- Lisa (8/5): - It was a good place to be able to have my dog with me while travelling. The room was air conditioned so it was a nice reliefon a hot day, and there is a very large yard which was good for walking my dog around.
- Halfday (1/5): -
- john (10/5): - Good
- Gurvinder (8/5): - Itโs okay
- michelle (10/5): - All was clean, bathroom floor cud have been better but overall, a really great motel, no issues at all and great close stay for Sauble Beach lovers! The diner across street was great as well.
- Aswathy (8/5): - Good
- Nithin (10/5): excellent - friendly if there is a vending machine
- Janet (6/5): My Stay at Wiarton Willies - It had a lovely swimming pool. Beds comfy and sheets clean. Asked for a late check out and owner was happy to do that. No coffee machine. Fridge was leaking at the bottom
Room was ok but definitely not worth the amount of money paid fir what is a 2 star motel. Mixed reviews on trip advisor but i found the owners were friendly.
- Wei (6/5): - The facilities are old.
- Jalal (8/5): - Parfait

- Candice (4/5): - Check in was no problem, super friendly staff.
Room was very run down. Smoke detector and light fixture where hanging off the wall with just wiring.
All towels had stains on them.
Pool was decent but canโt use past dark as there were no lights.
TV had maybe 8 channels to choose from and not the option to connect Netflix or anything.
Had to ask for bedding for the pull out couches, and no extra pillows were offered.
For $250 a night, was not worth it. If I had known, I would have driven the extra 30 mins out of town to stay somewhere else for the same price.
- Shiming (10/5): - Very comfortable place to stay.
- Chris (10/5): Good value for the money - Great stay - priced appropriately
- Erika (10/5): -
- Julia (4/5): Decent - Check in was super fast, but walking into the room we were met with a massive moth and a big fly. The few towels that we pulled were stained with dirt, not to mention the floors having scuffs everywhere and being visibly dirty. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the green space outside with picnic tables was beautiful for star gazing. Didnโt try out the pool but the colour was more green than how itโs meant to be.
- Dave (10/5): - Accessible, open. Mulitple braai units so families can enjoy the evening braai some meat or just an open fire.
- Dheeraj (10/5): - It was amazing experience to stay there.
- Nicole (6/5): - Could have been cleaner. The white comforters on the beds had stains, the towels had stains, the tv was covered in handprints, the light switches were dirty, lots of dirt on the baseboards and walls. Beds were comfortable enough but glad we didnโt spend a lot of time in the rooms because they could have been much cleaner. The outlet in the lamp was broken, the door automatically locked so we had to make sure we didnโt lock ourselves out by mistake.
- Lucy (8/5): -
- Rhonda (6/5): Cute motel - Great location and rooms were clean Pool was green. Not sure why.. our kids would not even go in! Not a huge deal because the beach and splash pad in Wiarton is amazing.
- amanda (6/5): - Overpriced.
- CHOATH (2/5): Stay Anywhere Else But Here! - Do not stay here! We gave it a one star but itโs easily a ZERO. This place has been taken over by New Canadians with third world standards in hospitality. The Inn is advertised as newly renovated but our room was disgusting and unfit for anyone. Sure there was maybe some paint thrown on the walls sometime in the last few years and some shotty wallpaper behind the beds but thatโs it. The orange and chocolate brown furniture was right out of the 70โs and likely salvaged from some other derelict motel. It was so filthy I wouldnโt let my dog on it. They had put down some new flooring and tile as well but a ten year old kid could have done a better job. The floor was uneven, chipped, jagged and dangerous. The lamp in between the beds was rusty to the point I was fearful of tetanus and the shade was covered in mystery brown splatters. The advertised outdoor luxury in-ground pool violated so many safety standards. The gate was wide open for anyone to wander in including young children. There was no safety equipment anywhere, no posted pool rules, broken plastic patio chairs and the water was green, murky and so cloudy you couldnโt see the bottom of the shallow end. It again wasnโt fit for my dog to even swim in. There was a large outdoor area with fire pits and some BBQs. All the barbecues were broken and missing grills. We did try to make the most of our night and had a campfire but the whole time the owner operators were staring at us from their second floor windows. Creepy! The rooms were not clean, in fact I refused to take my shoes off and wore my flip flops in the shower. The air conditioner remarkably blew cool air but there was a towel on the floor to catch the leaking run off. A small television was bolted oddly in the corner of the room at the ceiling but not moveable so difficult to see from one of the beds. As an aside note they do advertise they are pet friendly but an additional charge of $29 was added to our bill a few hours after our arrival, for our 8 pound, well behaved poodle.
We typically do not take the time to write bad reviews but we were so saddened to see the decline of this Wiarton motel we have known for over 30 years we felt obligated to discourage all others from wasting their money.
Stay anywhere else but here. This place needs to be shut down immediately.
- Ahmed (7/5): -
- Oscar (8/5): Good Stay - Good place to stay a night if you are passing by this area
- Sanket (8/5): - Nice budget motel.
- Lisa (5/5): - It was nice being able to have all 6 of us in the same room. Beds werenโt super comfortable. The pullout bed had gum stuck to the bottom of it and there was dirty Kleenex and a lot of dirt under the couch. The bathroom was okay but not super clean. The clean towels came with someone elseโs hair on them.
- Ismat (5/5): The inn is an alright place if you just need to sleep the night - The location was really good and the outdoor facilities. The wifi was really bad, the toiletries seemed to be really old fashioned, no smart tv, also the fridge wasnt cooling well
- Kieran (6/5): - The lobby was a bit strange as there was a partition blocking most of it and it appeared that people were living on the other side. The motel itself was okay, if not a bit run down looking, but it was generally pretty clean and the staff was friendly/helpful. However, the air conditioner was LOUD and seemed to just be pumping out mostly warm air. My family and I were pretty uncomfortable and didn't sleep well tbh. Overall, not the best experience ever but we did get to see Wiarton Willy's home down by the lake and go for a quick swim before the storm rolled through town.
- Maureen (10/5): - Older motel, but very comfortable and clean!
- Dalina (7/5): Acceptable for the location - Location was convenient. Easy parking right by the door. The mini fridge had a freezer which was practical to freeze our ice packs again. We were also glad there was a niceowave available. The tiles in the shower seem recently redone but the cleaning job was botchs (there's still some gount on the surfaces. Tub faucet was flimsy and so was the sink. Not enough counter space.
- Betty Ann (8/5): - Property very well maintained. Rooms clean.
- Huiqin (6/5): - Loved the pool. The pull out sofa bed was a bit dirty
- Fiyyaz (8/5): -
- Shauna (10/5): -
- Prabh (10/5): - Stay was very comfortable, room was clean
- Anne (7/5): Vacation - Pool. And quiet No cofee machine
- Carmen (2/5): Very disappointed in the room! - The location to our hometown Wiarton and the pool were positive things. With a reasonable $25+tax fee we were able to bring our puppy on the trip and closely located to the cemetery we needed to be at. Was able to get in our room an hour early upon arrival Tolerated but disappointed. We stayed at Wiarton Willy's a few times a when we were younger visiting family. We also stayed 11 years ago for a family burial with new owners. The 2 rooms we rented 11 years ago were both musty smelling and the bathroom was dirty, had no toilet paper holders but we dealt with the smell being outside most of the time. Some of the reviews said there had been many improvements and updates to the rooms. We were relying on these improvements and took the chance for what we needed. We were only in this room for one night. The mini fridge was leaking when we entered the room and kept wiping it up. There is no toilet paper holder in this room either so it sits on the bathtub frame - not a big deal but you'd think they could buy wall holders after 11 years. The beds and pillows were comfortable to sleep on. HOWEVER, we found earrings in one of the beds and some unknown item near the feet end in the other bed so it was obvious that the bottom linens were not changed from the last guests. We slept on top of the cover sheet and hoped it was clean. When taking off the pull out couch cushions to prepare another bed, there was a big wad of soft pink chewing gum stuck to the cloth where the frame meets of the pullout couch. We decided not to use it at all. You can see inside and outside of the weird curtains when the sun starts to go down. We had to put a bedspread over the window curtain to block the outside light and to keep privacy from anyone being able to see inside our room. The room smelt like must so I went out and bought fragrant deodorizers. We did stay up late outside to have a few drinks and glad there was an ashtray outside the rooms. The air conditioner stopped in the middle of the night and we were sweating. I had to get up and turn it on a couple times. I'm glad we only were there 1 night and I will be booking elsewhere next year when we come back
- Patel (10/5): -
- JOBIN (8/5): - Good
- Mukut (4/5): Kinda okay, not awesome - It was a last minute booking and it was okay, but I was expecting cleaner room, better bed and table. Tobermory is an expensive place, I get that but when i am entering a room, i want to feel good.
- Mahal (1/5): - nothing everything
- Leszek (6/5): - Room was run down. Needs renovation.
- Jorge (7/5): -
- Mike (4/5): Overpriced - Was almost $300.00 and there wasn't even coffee in the room.
- Aziz (4/5): Not a Family Standard. - It was not as clean as the pictures in the ad.
- Mallory (2/5): - The first room we were offered when we checked in was not even ready. The beds were unmade, there was pee all over the toilet, towels everywhere, and there were tons of bugs. We were then offered a second room since that one was clearly not ready and disgusting. The second room we got was equally as disgusting . The couch had a huge dead roach on it and lots of crumbs. We explained that we were not happy with this room and they said there vaccume it. We return after the โvaccumeโ and we still find many bugs all over the room and even in the microwave! We asked for a refund and the owner refused to give us one or even just some of our money back for this terrible experience. The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional and the rooms where disgusting and pretty sure the bugs we found were BED BUGS.
- Larry (8/5): - clean quiet
- Pooja (4/5): Poor - Not good
- Jesse (8/5): - Nice grounds, pool, and available BBQ. Room was clean and updated. Cell reception in the area is poor, which has nothing to do with the motel, but the Wi-Fi is slow too. There's no smart TV's, and cable tv only has 17 channels. All first world problems, but it would be nice to have good internet when you're a tourist and need to search for things to do in the local areas
- Yianiris (10/5): -
- Darshit (10/5): - It was great and we enjoyed a lot over there
- Ndiwa (7/5): Short stay for us, we had good time visiting the peninsula. - Location was good, rest area was nice even though there was rain so we never got to use. Bathroom could be improved. Sofa bed looked very old and not so clean. Only sheets were provided. Quite a noisy AC.
- Bikram (8/5): - It was a good experience.
- Satya (8/5): - A decent place to stay.
- Peter (2/5): - Did not like property due to dirty room, consisting of dirty stained chair , dirty floors, dirty tub, tub surround was held with dirty rusty nails mold all over caulking around tub, water on floor, noisy air conditioner also had unpleasant odour. Room looked nothing like picture's online. Was so disgusting we left and went to another place to stay, without getting any kind of refund from that inn. Will never return there.
- Daniel (2/5): - Terrible noise from the reception, room. 22. No TV, no amenities. Noise continued until 1:30 am. In the morning nobody at the reception to complain about it. Was given wrong receipt with a lower price while the regular charge was higher.
- Mohammedi (8/5): - No breakfast available
- Bruce (6/5): - Very nice outside amenities, BBQ, Fire pit, swimming pool, but, sub-standard housekeeping, lack of Hair dryer and noisy Air conditioning.
- Rakesh (8/5): - Like: Close to Sauble Beach - 20 minutes drive
Dislike: Cleanliness.
