Guest Reviews
- Anika (6/5): - Good easy location. Helpful staff on reception & great shuttle service. Rooms are very basic, small & the carpet needs updating. Bedding was good. We stayed for two nights towards the end of the season & food services on site were never open during the lunchtime hours listed - only option was to go to Perisher for food. Breakfast included is ok. Dinner is expensive and not very good. It was ok but would stay elsewhere.
- Bronwyn (10/5): - The incredible staff, comfortable accommodation and ease of access to the slopes make this the perfect family getaway.
- Nadia (10/5): - Love the staff here, always there to help us out. Retuning customer.
- Nadia (8/5): - Love the fire place
Love the breakfast
Staff was lovely
Heating was a bit too much.
Also, there should be option of Halal food.
- Gary (10/5): - We loved our stay, staff were excellent
- Nadia (10/5): - We came back because we just love it here. The staff is always friendly. Belinda and Sarah are also alaays making sure we have the best experience.
- Darryl (10/5): - The staff were amazing. Our car couldn’t start because the diesel fuel froze but they helped us to thaw the engine parts out and restart the car. Everyone was very nice! Little nice details we liked was the shower rack is heated so you get heated towels after a shower from a long ski day! Beds were super comfy! Can’t beat the location! Physically closest to ski field! Ski shop just downstairs. Private transport to Perisher from hotel. Can’t ask for more!
- Jess (4/5): - Overpriced.
Staff didn’t tell us when breakfast was.
Dinner was $170 for 2.
No sound proofing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfy and friendly on snow accommodation - We loved our stay at Smiggins Hotel, it was so lovely to be staying on the snow and see the slopes right outside our window. The accommodation had everything we needed. Staff were super friendly and helpful! The lounge area was a nice bonus as somewhere to rest during lunchtime away from the crowds.
- Meg (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Smiggins Hotel- the staff are so kind and friendly, the location couldn’t be better, the rooms are beautiful and warm and the food is absolutely sensational. What a wonderful family holiday! My kids said it was the best trip ever and cannot wait to return. Thanks Belinda and team for the wonderful hospitality.
- Lana (10/5): - Bistro and breakfast food was not up to standard, buffet was not self serve. Small sizes and spaghetti bowl had no sauce, large size was small. Snitzel at dinner was cold.
Rest of trip was great and coffee was good too.
- Robyn (10/5): First snow trip - young kids - Best place for a young family!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great all inclusive holiday. Ski out the door or a quick bus ride to Perisher. We will be back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - very good services. excellent location and nice food.
- Kasandra (10/5): - Thanks so much to the friendly staff at Smiggins Hotel. We stayed in a chalet with our little boy, which was a short stroll to the main building. Everything was spotless and the staff were welcoming, helpful and generally just appeared happy to be there. There wasn't much snow, but we made the most of it and had a great weekend. Thanks everyone! :D
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Always nice to be able to ski back to hotel in the end of the day

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Easy access to snow. Friendly staff. Great room. Nice food...awesome ribs.
- David (8/5): - Great place to stay with helpful and friendly staff. Family friendly and well organised. Reasonably priced for a snowfield location

- michael (10/5): BEST mountain accomodation - The best place we have stayed at on the mountain. Drive straight to the front door. Parking on the mountain. Clean comfortable but small rooms
- zahra (10/5): Amazing holiday - Very nice loves it!!! Can’t wait to go again!
Beautiful place to go
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel right on the snow which made it very easy to get the kids out onto the ski fields. Being this close to the snow, allowed the kids to have an afternoon rest before they headed out again for the day.
Caters to Children with kids club both during the day and evening.
- tracey (8/5): great location -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hotel right on the slopes - Such a lovely hotel with friendly staff. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent service.
- Piggy (10/5): In the SNOW - I honestly cannot say one bad thing about our stay at Smiggins Hotel.
It was great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): easy access - reasonably comfy and warm with lots to do
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel for the "on Snow" experience. - Fabulous long weekend for a family of four. The room we had was very small, but for a last minute booking we were well accommodated.
- Jordyn (10/5): Happy - Extreamly impressed with Smiggins Hotel.
Ski in ski out access very convienient
Service at the front desk was amazing
Comfortable rooms
Buffet breakfast had lots of variety
Fire place area very relaxing
- Donna (10/5): - We loved everything with our stay. The food, location, rooms and staff are all amazing.
- Natalie (10/5): Great location and great for families. - This hotel is in a great location and is very family friendly. Also love that you can park right at the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
- Greg (6/5): Good location but rooms are noisy - Great location, convenient, friendly staff. Rooms sound proofing is POOR. Noise from above and next door was to such a level that we were woken multiple times by people walking and talking. May as well have been in the room with us.
- Dylan (10/5): - Very good
- Gruevski (6/5): Very Close to Perisher, large room - Very disappointing at check in, was asked to pay additional $360 on top for our 3 night stay as I had two kids 6 & 8, and I booked room for two adults only, we travel regularly and normally our kids sleep with us, was confusing as lastminute site when booking room did say will accommodate up to two kids. Room was large with a double bed with two singles as well, has a stove and small fridge. Room was very dated, only an oil heater to heat room, bathroom was like stepping back in time, sliding door shower screen, mosaic floor tiles, basic tiles. We paid $300 per night initially but then were asked to pay an additional $120, so $420 per night is very ridiculous for this room, considering all we wanted to see and play with snow with the kids and we struggled to see this. There was ice which was made there for the skier or boarder. More suited for the young adult skier or snow boarder. Basic breakfast which included cereal, juice, eggs, bacon, tomato, hash brown was $72 for the four of us for the day. Not suited for families unless you smuggle your young children into room and cook your own food. Very over priced for what you get, luckily we were only there for 3 nights, many of our friends warned us to of how expensive it could be and we would be better off going to New Zealand to see snow. I think next time we decide to see snow I believe we will be taking our friends advice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location to ski both perisher ad smiggins. - We enjoyed our weekend. The dinners were really good food great location and facilities
- will (2/5): - I was ripped off severely and charged an extra $500 on check in for my 2 year old child.
Did not feel welcomed at all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a great time at the hotel the staff were friendly and the food was very good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Small hotel to stay for our ski trip - Room is not too spacious and not fully equipped.
- dragana (10/5): Close to the slopes - Hotel stuff very helpful, position of the hotel excellent
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel but squeaky door kept us awake in chale - Great staff, just fix the door in corridor in the chalet part of hotel
- Kath (6/5): The staff are wonderful - It's not at Perisher but close enough. Every staff member we encountered was personable, helpful, cheerful and willing to go the extra mile to please.
- Kerry (10/5): A holiday worth having !!, - fabulous the whole hotel was neat clean ,had a lovely scent through out.The staff couldn't do enough for us extremely friendly and the staff are like family. We felt so at home there and most of all I didn't feel it was over priced . The meals were fantastic. We booked for next year on our way out .
