- Jill (10/5): Weekend getaway - Room was updated , everything new and clean
- Y (10/5): - Updated rooms. Super clean Only complaint was the pool wasn't ready. Not the resorts fault.
- NayB104 (10/5): Great Family Vacation at The Atlantic - This is a much delayed review regarding our very positive experience at The Atlantic in August of 2025. After having stayed at the Forum every year for the past 20 years, we were forced to book at a different hotel, when the Forum was very unaccommodating to our needs. As a result, The Atlantic is our new 'Go To' place in OC.
We booked 4 rooms at the Atlantic for 2 nights last August for our extended family. A special shout out to Hatixhe at the front desk for her assistance at the time of booking and during our stay.
The rooms were renovated and well appointed. Nice big shower and sink area. Two comfortable queen beds.
The location cannot be beat. Same block as the boardwalk with easy walking to boardwalk restaurants, shops, and attractions.
The parking lot is small and not the easiest to always maneuver. But, even though the hotel was fully booked, we were always able to find a spot (there is an overflow lot about a block away, but we never had to use it). [Note: There is one down side to the parking situation here; Because of limited parking, they don't allow you to park in the lot until your room is ready and you must exit the lot as soon as you check out.]
We found all of the staff to be very helpful and friendly. One of the rooms had a problem with the desk chair (the back was somewhat loose). We texted the front desk, and within an hour the maintenance staff was at the room with a brand new chair. You can't beat that for service.
Even though the weather was not great during our stay (the beach/ocean was off limits due to strong rip currents and we had to walk the boards and swim in the pool between periods of rain), we still enjoyed our stay at The Atlantic and our time together as a family. We will be back again.

- Robert (9/5): Nice room. It was clean with great shower. - Breakfast was not an option as the cafe was not open Room was smaller than we expected. I would have preferred regular cable TV.
- Frank (10/5): Very nice place, amazingly close to boardwalk but takes a moment to cool the room to liking due to area of ac unit - A wonderful property very close to boardwalk and worth it for that price alone, great shower and work for getting extra sand off from the beach the way it was built. Only real problem is air conditioning unit is a little low so that when trying to cool down room takes a little longer cause it hits the bed frame.
- Heather (7/5): It was perfect for what you needed to do shower sleep so you can get to the boards, the beach, etc. I do recommend the f - Close to beach/boardwalk Cafe in front of our room very loud
- Margaret (9/5): Paid almost $40o - Stayed here before when it was the Pavilion. Very nice upgrades. Super friendly staff. Very high prices. Air kept shutting off. Room was not that cool.
- Donna (10/5): - Very close to the boardwalk. Great location! Comfortable beds. Parking was very accessible. A few things needed attention in the room and the staff was quick to respond and outstanding. Thank you! The Ruku TV was extremely challenging to navigate. It was hard to find live tv Channels and content that we were searching for. We did try to call the front desk at one point but no one answered. We had to physically walk down to the office and wait for someone to see us on video. It is the off season for the Jersey Shore but if the hotel is open, the desk should be manned during the day. With that said we would definitely stay here again.
- John (10/5): First time for grandsons to be at the shore.we loved all of it - Location Parking availability
- Peter (10/5): - Close to Boardwalk.
- Ana (10/5): - We loved the location, the free parking, pool and the modern and new rooms. Our bedroom was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Can’t wait to go back to Ocean City and stay at the Atlantic or one of the other sister properties.
- Valerie (10/5): - Great location close to the boardwalk. Free parking.
- Terry (8/5): - Very close to the boardwalk!
- lorenzetti (9/5): -
- Michael (10/5): - Clean, nice, new, very good location. Nothing
- Mary-Therese (9/5): Great place, amazing location. - Lovely room, comfortable bed and nice window. Small but has everything you'd want. The shower is spacious and the bathroom overall was pretty nice. The hotel really is right by everything. My partner and I easily walked everywhere we wanted to go, both the boardwalk and Asbury Ave are a short walk away. The room can feel a bit cramped, and our large suitcase was difficult to fit neatly somewhere. The lights near the bed would flicker a bit, which was a little overstimulating if they were the only lights on. We had to pay a deposit for being under 25 we were not informed about before checking in.
- Erin (10/5): - Room was clean, great walkable location.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Everything was great The noise the fridge was making
- G6903ACadamm (10/5): Great room, great price. I would recommend staying here. - The rooms were beautiful. It’s a block from the boardwalk. You can walk to George’s for breakfast with minimal effort. The staff is courteous and polite.
- Chelsea (6/5): - We ended up having to check in late (almost when the office closed at 9 pm) due to a flight delay. When we arrived, the front desk person didn't tell us how to actually get to our room, so we had to figure that out on our own. Also, we had an early flight out and didn't know where we should leave our keys for the room, as they are physical keys.
The room was pretty standard - the AC unit is really loud and literally right next to one side of the bed. Water pressure in the shower was good, but we realized the carpet in the room was so disgusting that as soon as you walk on it, you're tracking dirt and debris in the bathroom and on the bed. The air handler is also incredibly loud and will wake you up in the middle of the night.
Overall, the hotel is OK. Front desk staff could have been better, but I understand they likely wanted to go home, and our late arrival wasn't the original plan. Walkable, so the location was great.
- Adam (10/5): Great spot and since the remodel, a very comfortable and clean place to stay - Clean rooms, killer shower, comfortable beds. The only niggle first timers to Ocean City might have is the view. Parking lot and street. But those that know the city KNOW that the location is FANTASTIC. One block from the boards and beach to the East and a block to the shopping district to the West. Loved it.
- Amber (10/5): - Clean property, staff communication, rooms re done and the beach down the block what more could you ask for?
Great stay.
- Kate (10/5): - We had a great experience!
Check-in was easy - fantastic staff - super friendly and accommodating.
Our room was extremely clean.
Quiet at night, comfortable beds, and we felt safe and secure.
The pool was lovely.
You couldn’t ask for a more ideal location!
One block from beach and boardwalk.
Would highly recommend!
- Lyndsey (6/5): - Staff at the front was not friendly the first day, but the second day a different girl was more please t
- Michael (10/5): - Very nice overall.
- Shanna (10/5): - We loved the location of this hotel. Also, modern and clean.
- gladysrW976CW (10/5): Accommodations at it’s best - My husband and I experienced the best accommodation to fit our stay. Very nice and quick response in providing the best service. We felt like a valued customer. Looking forward to another great experience!!!
- Christina (10/5): - I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The pool is awesome and there is a restaurant for brunch downstairs. Rooms are clean and the beds were comfortable. Amazing location if you want to be close to the boardwalk and beach. It was quiet at night.
- Robert (1/5): Horrible wish I could’ve gotten a refund. Unfortunately I looked at the pictures of your hotel and booked it. The pictur - The hotel is filthy dirty. The elevator has rat feces inside the car. The pool was so dirty. I would not allow my grandson to get into it. The staircases are concrete slippery and a hazard. If I could’ve gotten a refund, I would’ve asked for a refund the first day my stay there. Filthy dirty, rat feces, staff smoking marijuana on the back staircase
- Janet (8/5): Enjoyed our stay very much. A few issues, but most handled quickly and efficiently. - Enjoyed our time very much. A few suggestions. You could add a towel rack in the bathroom. It would be nice to have a couple patio tables on the pool deck with umbrellas for those of us who can't have too much sun.
Janet Morris A few suggestions. You could add a towel rack in the bathroom. It would be nice to have a couple patio tables on the pool deck with umbrellas for those of us who can't have too much sun. Also, the memory foam mattresses were terrible--lumpy, with dents on each side. Had to try to sleep in the middle (on top of the mountain) to avoid falling out of bed.
- W451TUpatricias (10/5): Great overall - Overall we loved the room, beds were comfortable and we had good quality sleep. Loved the big open shower and the sliding door to the bathroom. The pool was really nice but they advertise it’s heated but it sure didn’t feel like it but we still enjoyed it. Felt like there wasn’t enough parking but we managed. It’s a very short walk from the hotel to the beach and boardwalk which was a plus. They also had a very nice little coffee shop attached to the restaurant. We ate there once it was very good. Coffee was not offered in the room nor did they have it in the lobby. This would be a nice addition to the rooms if they could add it. Most places offer 24/7 coffee.
We enjoyed our first trip to Ocean City and hope to be back soon.
- Philip (10/5): - They agreed to refund our one night stay. I appreciate the hotels flexibility and service.
- Patricia (9/5): - Great location. Updated rooms. Water pressure and temperature regulation of the shower wasn’t great. Difficult to adjust. Pool area needs some TLC.
- Shanna (10/5): - Nice friendly staff. Clean and quiet. Loves the showers!
- Travellingman1960 (10/5): Thrilled with The Atlantic. - Rising from the ashes of the Pavilion motel, The Atlantic by Best Western did not disappoint. The rooms are clean modern and inviting. Definitely will go again.
- 839darleenn (10/5): This place keeps getting better year after year! - Rooms have been newly remodeled. Everything is clean and new.
Beds are comfortable.
The pool is clean and heated.
They’ve added a like breakfast restaurant with coffee which is very convenient.
The parking is easy.
The access to the beach and boardwalk is super convenient.
- anyabwilel (10/5): Great Family stay - This is our 3rd year coming up for our end of the summer family vacation. Rooms are top notch. Location is great. A two minute walk to the beach and boardwalk but also central to food and shopping. Most within a 10 min walk. Also a great new coffee shop across the street and a bike rental place less than 30seconds away. The pool is alway clean and well maintained and Brenda’s restaurant is our fav place for breakfast. Will be booking soon for next summer.
- Kamruz (8/5): -
- Rose (8/5): -
- Eugene (10/5): - The Atlantic was clean and within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. The staff is fantastic! Friendly and very helpful!
- Bonnie (6/5): Room was adequate but parking was not. - Bathroom was nice Parking
- Scott (8/5): Over priced - Room was modern and ok little expensive for what is offered
- ditta02 (10/5): Clean and comfortable - My husband and I stayed here for one overnight, and it was such a nice surprise because we tend to be super picky when it comes to lodging. The Atlantic was clean, comfortable, quiet, reasonably priced, and the decor was modern and minimalist. Couldn't ask for more. Planning another family weekend in OCNJ for next year and will definitely be looking to stay here again.
- Mindi (5/5): With the exception of location, disappointing and over priced - Location Aged furnishings. Furniture and carpet stained. Had a musty smell. Pool poorly maintained.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean, nicely renovated. Great location. - Room was very clean and in great shape. Hotel was recently renovated and staff were very friendly. Parking included in adjacent lot. Beach tags included. Easy walk to several restaurants and beach block access to the boardwalk. Very happy with our stay here.
- Sandra (8/5): -
- John (10/5): - Beach tags situation was confusing for overnight stay
- Kristine (6/5): - Found ants in the room the last day, and n
- Marlene (6/5): - It was clean and updated & the staff was nice. Good location, liked that we had free parking. The room was very small. Elevator needed a little updating but glad they had one.
- Carl (10/5): -
- 88krisannem (8/5): Excellent location - Walking distance to the boardwalk. Coffee shop across the street. Decent size pool. Friendly staff. Quick check in and check out.
- BarbaraMiller (10/5): Nice hotel with a great location in Ocean City - Nice clean hotel. We stayed for one night. The hotel has a great location. We had free parking and 2 beach tags. Our room was available to us early, so that was very nice. I was pleasantly surprised.
- 731richr (10/5): Highly recommend - We really enjoyed our short stay at The Atlantic. The room was recently renovated and was clean, bright and well done. The linens and bedding were clean and fresh, the bathroom and shower were amazing, and the water pressure/ shower head were perfect.
We had breakfast at the restaurant (Brenda's) and that was excellent as well. The standard coffee was not great but they have cafe drinks that were better.
Location was stellar, although we recommend heading to 1st Street for the beach because the beach near 8th is short and gets packed quickly.
- Carol (10/5): - The property was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance of the boardwalk and many restaurants. We had a wonderful time during our stay.
- Tanya (10/5): - Spontaneously picked The Atlantic for an unexpected one night stay and it was wonderful. Great location walkable to the boardwalk. The staff was friendly and even gave my kids a stuffed animal fish as a welcome gift at check in. We loved that the room and bathroom were very clean and recently renovated. Would be happy to stay here again!
- John (6/5): - Room was nice but house keeping never came to clean it. Beds were very comfortable. Pool was dirty and some pool chairs were broken. Was told I could smoke a cigar on the balcony then while smoking i was told I'm not allowed by different employee.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel was clean. Close to the boardwalk and beach
- joedO8636RG (2/5): Service was horrible and lied about applying best western gift cards to bill. - This hotel is completely mismanaged. I had gift cards from best western that I asked them to apply to my bill on four occasions. They said it would be applied and they never did. TV worked 50 percent of the time and phone in room was not operational. I am currently dealing with best western to get credit for the best western gift cards. Have sent two emails to hotel with gift cards attached and got no response. I would never stay at this hotel again.
- Jordana (10/5): - Was great! Clean room. All new updates.
- Sophie (6/5): - Doors to rooms are not safe. No safety deposit box in the room. Flimsy building so you can hear everything. Rude staff member on checkout! Wouldn't return!
- Mark (8/5): - I’m only not giving 5 stars because it wasn’t perfect for what it was (not a bad thing at all). Would’ve liked to have better wi-fi so could do some of the work I planned on while on the trip or used my phone at all (service wasn’t great for me in the room).
Definitely bring some multi taps because the outlets were all hidden and we had multiple devices we needed to charge.
Otherwise I can’t complain. Location was fantastic, they have parking onsite, beds are actually comfortable (which I can’t say about 5-star resorts, even) and everything else just worked out perfectly. Staff was super nice and the attached cafe was great too. Heck, they even get you a discount on bike rentals!
- Cailly (6/5): Family friendly-ish - WiFi was terrible which didn’t allow us to watch tv during the inclement weather. Beds were ok. Floors left the children’s feet dirty, but was a spacious apartment. Moderately comfortable.
- Huidi (8/5): - Very clean room, AC was a bit too loud.
- Jennifer (6/5): - The place was very conveniently located. However, we got to our room at around 9pm after we checked in and the door to our room was open and unlocked. I brought this to the attention of the front desk and they shirked it off as totally fine and didn’t even apologize. The bathroom was pretty and clean but the bar soap smelled awful! Also, people in the courtyard were up making noise until late like 1am. I had 3 little kids with me and this was quite disruptive:(
- Ian (10/5): - We really enjoyed the overall all location and cleanliness of the hotel. We will definitely be back!
- Cynthia (6/5): Disappointed - The location of the Atlantic couldn’t be better, but we were disappointed with some aspects of our stay. The internet was sketchy which made it difficult to impossible to watch tv. The pool was nice but some of the Adirondack chairs were missing chair planks. The room was relatively clean, but there were brown splashes on the wall in the bathroom. There was no bathroom at the pool or any towels provided at the pool. The second day we didn’t have maid service and apparently someone else was frustrated, too, and threw their dirty towels and garbage onto the walkway. It was still there when we left this morning. The remodel of the bathroom is beautiful and the rooms are freshly painted and carpeted. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets were a bit scratchy. The cost per night is more than reasonable, but we left feeling like you get what you pay for, and we won’t go back again.
- Suzanne (10/5): The apartment was great, super location, convenient parking, had an awesome time! - Breakfast was good. Kids liked it so much they asked to go back a second day. We did. We were given beach tags and had free parking. The apartment had plenty of space so we could spread out and relax. No change desired.
- Kevin (10/5): Like New Conditions - Spotless and like new throughout the room. "New Car smell" abounds.
Plentiful and quality towels and toiletries.
Nice size refrigerator/freezer and microwave came in useful.
- Roy (10/5): Exceptional - Clean room, walkable to the boardwalk and beach. Nothing
- Lisa (7/5): Good - The location was close to the beach and boardwalk. The pool area could have been cleaner. AC wasn’t very cold.
- Stephanie (10/5): - I've definitely found my new favorite hotel in OCNJ! I will be back for sure!
- Dawn (2/5): The location was perfect. The hotel not so much. It has potential but our stay was sub par. - The location was excellent! It was a two minute walk to the beach! The pool was nice as well. The on site restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced. There were ants in the beds! I had to walk a mile to get raid to spray the room. The phone wasn’t connected. I reported the ants to the office and it took me to threaten to go live on social media to get the room cleaned. The phone wasn’t connected. I told the office and staff stated it would be reconnected the next day and we stayed 4 additional days and it was never operational. We were also told the elevator wasn’t working but in actuality it was working. Each time I complained I was told the hotel was under renovation and all issues would be fixed. I couldn’t even get a receipt for my stay because the printer in the office wasn’t working. This is truly a no frills hotel.
- Carmen (9/5): Superb - Room was clean and newly remodeled. Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Standing water outside our room because of ice machine and air conditioners needs to be constantly swept away and is not safe for guest. That needs to be fixed.
- Goddess (10/5): Exceptional - The office staff and housekeeping were amazing!
- Harold (4/5): - Only thing we liked was the room and proximity to Boardwalk. Thats were the positive comments ends. No coffee maker or iron in room... Power went out 3 times, internet worked well for 1 hr after that Ruko TV became useless..Elevator did not work, so I had to carry family's luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs. Front end person to this day never told us about Elevator.. At check-in I was handed an antiquated metal room key. The sign said Hotel but it felt like a motel..Rooms window faced the walkway, felt very intrusive and unsafe. People constantly walking past the large window.
Called front desk for issues 3 times with NO ANSWER!!! Check out we had to wait several minutes for person to appear..
This MOTEL oops meant Hotel will never see me again..
- Jennifer (10/5): - Everything was nice!
- Jacqueline (4/5): - Sliding door into the bathroom came off the hinges and fell on my daughter. Told the front desk who sent maintenance who looked at it and said “looks fine to me just don’t close it” and left. No follow up from the front desk.
- jessicawE3386LZ (10/5): Excellent housekeeping, location, and layout. - Housekeeping were friendly, helpful, and efficient with service every day. The beds were very comfortable and the decor is modern. Steps from the boardwalk but quiet in the rooms. Loved our stay.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- xavier (8/5): - Very close to beach and boardwalk.
- ashlees794 (10/5): Family vacation - Highly recommend! Location is great, really close to the boardwalk. Stay comes with free parking and beach passes. Clean and staff was great.
- Ashlee (10/5): - Highly recommend, really clean, free parking and beach passes with stay. Great location, Close to boardwalk.
- J7725UAanitas (10/5): Better than expected! - We had a grad party in town and needed it for 1 night. The Atlantic/BW did not disappoint. Great service, great location and exceptional rooms. I read a lot of reviews before booking. It was a little pricey, but totally worth it! I know we will stay again, hopefully longer.
- Roupen (4/5): - Our second night, the cleaner cleaners the room and then left it unlocked.
On the second day there was broken glass by the pool on the second day.
On the 3rd day it was 5PM our rooms still weren’t made. There were no towels we couldn't even shower.
We checked out a night early so we could go home and shower
- Jamie (8/5): - Family friendly; great pool and beach access
- Antoinette (8/5): - The pool was clean room was nice don’t like steps to access room but over all the stay was peaceful convenient parking I would stay again .
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - We liked the size of the shower and how close we were to the beach. The walls are super thin. We could hear a normal volume conversation from the room next to us.
- royq519 (10/5): Amazing little gem!! - We needed to sneak away to a beach location for a few days and found this gem that we will be returning too next year.
First, the location is perfect. You make a right out of the hotel onto 8th street and a couple minutes later you’re on the boardwalk or the beach.
The rooms are very nicely done. The A/C is amazingly cold. Perfect after a day in the sun. The bedding feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud. Four perfect pillows for each bed. There is a large smart tv, a tall mini-fridge that worked great! There is a room phone and a wall sconce for lighting between the two beds in the room we were in.
There is a desk setup with a chair if you’re so inclined to work instead of enjoy the shore. There is an open area for you to hang clothing. The rooms are very simple which is all you need sometimes.
The bathroom door is a sliding barn door which was nice. The shower was very nice and spacious. Shower head water flow was spot on. The bathroom comes with a blow dryer.
The Pool is placed perfectly so that most of the day, It is in the sun. Pool is available from 9am-9pm. You can enter by steps and a handrail in the shallow end or by the ladder at the deep end which is 8’ deep. There is plenty of seating and lounge chairs around the pool.
Outside of the pool area is a sitting area or a courtyard so to speak with patio tables and chairs with umbrellas as well as patio couches and coffee tables. We played Yahtzee at the courtyard.
The hotel has three levels. The top two floors can be accessed by many different stairways or by one very small elevator.
Attached to the hotel is Brenda’s Cafe. We had breakfast there every morning and lunch once and I definitely recommend. I mean why not? You don’t have to leave the property or drive anywhere. Now, tbh, if the food was not good, I would not have even mentioned Brenda’s Cafe.
If all you need in the morning is coffee or lattes, right across the street from the hotel is Holiday Coffee serving La Colombe in cold brew, lattes and I would also presume hot coffee too but we just got the cold brew with caramel and left a little space for the half and half.
If some biking is what you need, on the diagonal corner of the hotel is bicycle rental for the whole family including surreys.
Overall, I really couldn’t be happier to have stayed at The Atlantic. Looking forward to staying again next year and making It a full week.
- 4everthetraveler (10/5): Fun newly renovated Inn. - We had a short two night stay and found the rooms well appointed. Our room was small but the new renovations made great use of the space. The king bed was comfortable, but we wished for softer feather pillows. Hotel reception desk was welcoming and helpful. Tons of free parking and a great location. Enjoyed our time there.
- 459giuu (2/5): This place should be demolished. - We had a litany of issues with the hotel. The major one was with the plumbing. The sink leak was so bad that all the towels were wet, we discovered this upon check in. This was fixed in 10 minutes. The shower handle fell off while bating my 5 year old, he wasn't thrilled with hot water in the face. The toiled gurgled all night, which made for a pleasant aroma. When I complained about this to the front desk they said try not to use the bathroom as the humidity is causing problems. Please use the bathroom across the street at the next hotel if you need to use it.. When we asked to speak to the manager. THEY SAID WE ARENT ALLOWED TO CALL HIM ON HIS DAY OFF!!!!!
- Sharon (2/5): - Half the time the elevator didn't work (scary), the door to our room stuck and didn't open or close properly (more scary), the kids playing in the pool were allowed to scream at the top of their lungs until 11 PM. This is just a start. I could go on to talk about the hair in the shower that was there our entire day or how the cleaning crew barged in the room without knocking at two in the afternoon. Worst of all… The manager was EXTREMELY rude.
Again, this is just a start
- Lily (8/5): - It was convenient to the boardwalk and everyone was friendly
- 46jaymet (2/5): Worst hotel ever- don’t stay here. - Condition of the hotel is poor. Faulty plumbing (shower, sink, and toilet). Staff didn’t care to fix issues, didn’t offer any compensation but rather told us to use a bathroom across the street… when we asked for the manager they said he couldn’t be contacted on his day off… this place is a dump run by people that don’t understand the meaning of ‘hospitality’.
- Douglas (8/5): A very nice room. - Clean, recently renovated room with very friendly and accommodating staff located within one block of the the boardwalk. While also recently updated, the facilities outside of the room felt old and less than clean.
- suesW8566QO (10/5): Wonderful people - I was scheduled to stay 1 night with my severely special needs daughter. My daughter was really struggling so we were unable to make it to the room. I returned the keys and the beach badges and explained we wouldn't be staying. They called me and told me I was getting a full refund and told me they were so sorry I had to go thru that. Such understanding people. I highly recommend. Plus if you have a special needs child and they are able to handle a hotel, give this group your business because they truly are good people.
- Robin (10/5): - Everything was perfect, the only thing negative was the ice machine was out of order.
- knight02 (10/5): This recently renovated motel was a welcomed surprise. - Recently renovated motel was a pleasant surprise. Rooms were clean. Bathroom was spacious, shower had good water pressure and temperature. Short walk to beach and boardwalk. Air conditioners could use an upgrade and a coffee maker is a must. Will return in the Fall.
