The room size exceeded expectations, and the queen bed, while on the softer side, was still easy to settle into after long days out. Air-conditioning worked perfectly (a non-negotiable in Taipei humidity). The bathroom is simple but spotless, with hand soap, shampoo, and body wash provided. Do note: in line with environmental efforts, there are no disposable amenities like toothbrushes, combs, or shower caps, so come prepared. Good practical additions: mini fridge, in-room safe, rubber slide slippers, and a proper luggage rack (small detail, big win). --- 📍 Location A solid win. About a 5-minute walk to Dongmen MRT station (interchange for red and yellow lines), which makes getting around the city easy. The neighbourhood is quiet, almost surprisingly so for Taipei. There’s a 7-Eleven just 2 minutes away, and you’re within walking distance of several well-known areas without being stuck in the chaos. --- 🛏️ Room & Comfort Spacious and peaceful, especially with the window facing a back alley (no street noise, just calm). The only trade-off: thin walls. You’ll hear housekeeping or neighbouring rooms if they’re active. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing. --- 🚿 Bathroom Clean, functional, and reliable. Strong water pressure with consistent hot water (bliss after a long day). Bonus points for the built-in bidet. Always appreciated. --- 🧑💼 Service Friendly, efficient, and easy to communicate with in English. They handled luggage storage smoothly on checkout day, and we lucked out with an early check-in at 11am. --- 🍽️ Food & Drinks Breakfast was included in our stay, but we didn’t try it (too many good food options in Taipei calling our name). --- 🏨 Facilities Fast, reliable WiFi. No complaints.

- CHI FEI (6/5): - 早餐簡單、衛生、還不錯吃 房間也算整潔乾淨 門口的停車場的服務先生，人非常讚，在我們沒車位、不知道怎麼辦的時候跟我們說對面巷子裡的停車場應該還有位子，真的是無敵感謝這位服務人員，同樣都是該飯店員工怎麼會差這麼多，謝謝您！ 我們訂2間房只需要一個車位，但在初三晚上約6點入住時，櫃檯小姐就說停車位都全滿了，當初就是因為有停車空間才選這邊的，他們的車位很少，給大家參考…… 停車位已滿已經很尷尬了，問櫃檯小姐附近是否有停車格或停車場、合理收費價格約落在多少？櫃檯小姐居然都只會罐頭回覆叫我們自己上網搜尋……… 在下雨寒冷的台北夜裡，令人更心寒！ 早餐簡單乾淨不錯吃，但是吃早餐的位子一樣很少………

- Mark (7/5): Not returning. There are better options. The rude receptionist is a major reason. - It was clean, breakfast was above average. We enjoyed how it was cooked and prepared every morning, having stayed for 2 weeks. The room was very clean, no sign of bed bugs. The janitress kept the room clean every day. Although she had a sick habit of sticking hair she found on the bath tub on the wall. Reception was cold. They kept on refusing us extra bottles of water. I stayed in nearby chaiin hotel which had a better location than this because in citizen the mtr was far away, and they always gave us bottles of water. Also the place where you could go to eat was closed. You cant eat there like in most other hotels in taipei.
- Chung-Hung (8/5): 先不提WiFi，進出口讓人替稍嫌太多尾的錦鯉感到遺憾的水池與流水，是間很有個性，令人第一眼就印象深刻的旅館， - 建築物雖然比較有年份，lobby稍微擁擠，然而房間內設備該有的都有，不花俏也沒有多餘的東西，使用起來也夠了，沒有不方便的地方。提供早餐的配菜，也令人覺得不豪奢，用日語的"十分"來形容最貼切，服務人員也很盡責。 或許是2樓的關係，浴室的水量與水壓真的沒有話說。 WiFi連線經常出現斷線後，再重新連上的現象，很困擾。 這一點算不上不喜歡，只是覺得比較奇特。非餐廳工作人員穿著制服頻繁進出帶著各式器皿拿早餐的食物，是在其他旅館不常看到的情景，表現出這家旅館的特有文化。

- Kyeong Woo (9/5): - 방은 매우 깨끗했고, 중간 크기 캐리어 2개를 펼쳐놓고도 자유롭게 돌아다닐 수 있었습니다. 조식은 메뉴가 다양하지는 않았지만 맛이 좋았어요. 역에서 숙소까지 가는 길이 생각보다 멀었습니다. 가는 길은 오래된 시장이어서 밤에는 벌레를 마주쳤습니다. 침대는 푹신했지만 조금만 움직여도 흔들림이 심한 편이었어요.

- Caroline (9/5): Séjour confortable et agréable, hotel très bien situé - Très bon séjour, nous étions 3 et la chambre était de taille correct très confortable, la salle de bain était d'une très bonne taille, très propre. Nous avons utilisé la machine à laver située sur le rooftop et c'était très pratique. L'hotel était très bien placé mais très calme. Le personnel très gentil. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et varié. Le seul point faible était la climatisation qui était difficile à régler et l'air arrivait directement sur moi, et maintenant j'ai un rhume. Nous avaons essayer de régler la climatisation sur le plus faible possible (mais indispensable car il faisait 30° à l'extérieur) et ça n'a pas vraiment fonctionné.

Staff speak enough English for foreign visitors to have a comfortable check-in. Noise cancellation wasn't great, had a weird damp-y smell and cigarette marks (dated), facilities were limited.
