Guest Reviews
- Anastasia (3/5): Poor -
- Tony (5/5): Affordable and basic - Location and varied breakfast No internet
- Waples (1/5): Bad - NOTHING I received a message on the day of arrival to inform me. " Due to technical issues with the room " they had arranged alternative accommodation.
I accepted the alternative hotel, although it did not fulfil my needs , due to the room being on the 5th floor accessed by a very difficult, virtually spiral staircase.
I had to negotiate the stairs the following morning at 06:60 hrs. with my luggage to check in for a ferry departure.
Overall, I was less than impressed by the whole experience.
- Robert (10/5): A perfect hotel in a superb location - Very friendly staff and close to all amenities. Everything was great
- Jane (1/5): Bad - This hotel is not open and we were sent somewhere else!
- Tanja (10/5): Exceptional - We got a message just before arrival that they needed to move us from hotel Bonaparte, to hotel Little Palace. So my review will be more for that hotel, as I didn't see hotel Bonaparte. Hotel Little Palace has amazing location, right in the centre, close to the oarking garage and also there is a delicious bakery nearby. What we enjoyed the most was the kind staff of the hotel, that made our stay very enjoyable and answered ever, request. Highly recommend! .
- Eriko (5/5): It’s ok overall. - the location was good for me. Bringing my suitcase up to the 4th floor was not easy. There was a big noise from the heater.
- Blazej (6/5): Pleasant -
- Vincent (7/5): Good -
- Liane (9/5): Loved my stay, slept very well and was in walking distance to city center. Nice sunrise view from my window over the roo - Location and Vintage Style Sometimes cumbersome opening/locking process to enter/exit the room, parking is rather suited for smaller cars (I have a Dacia Duster)
- Khaled (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (9/5): Superb -
- Tomas (9/5): Superb -
- Mickael (8/5): Very good - The person doing the check in at night was really friendly and helpful
- Thompson1 (9/5): Very enjoyable, I hope to stay at Hotel Bonaparte again. - The staff were great; Slava the concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful. Air-conditioning would have been welcome. :-)
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (3/5): Poor - There wasn't anything I liked. The fact I had to leave the key at the reception when leaving was ridiculous. Old building, poorly marked, hot inside the room (can't begin to imagine how hot it would be in July). The room very small, bathtub in the pictures but shower in reality. No hairdryer even though it was listed under room facilities. Breakfast was weird, had to dine with another person and it wasn't clear if I can grab a croissant from a basket on the table or was it theirs. In fairness, the croissant was tasty, but the whole experience was bad.
- Charles (7/5): Simple but ok for short stay - Central location, ok breakfast with bread, cereal, decent bed. Price is ok, you get what you pay for. Other guest was playing loud music late at night, so had to get up to ask for it to be turned down. It’s an older building, so no elevator. No issue, but just beware. Could’ve been a bit cleaners
- Yt (5/5): Passable - I booked a room with air condition which written in the room facilities but my room come with no air conditioner. I requested to change to a room with air condition and I'm willing to pay for more for a room with air condition but I was refused by the reception. I couldn't sleep for the night because it was hot and stuffy in the room during summer time.
- Jaš (4/5): Would not do it again - comfortable bed, good for one night They are saying that they provide a parking space which is somewhat true but we were travelling with a van and unfortunately could not park in the parking garage since it is only for vehicles under 1.90m of height. We asked them if they could provide us with another parking space and they said no and told us to figure it out on our own. We were driving around the city for an hour and a half as we were not able to find a parking space. We then parked on a hill,25 minutes walk from the hotel. It was also very noisy.
- Gillian (7/5): Good location, near the quay and a short walk to the railway and bus stations - Lovely room and value for money No major problems, only there was an odd buzzing noise which was not there in the daytime only when we went to sleep. The buzzing noise lasted a few seconds then silence and after about 15-20 seconds it started up again. The noise stopped in the morning. Thought it might be the air conditioning unit but when I turned it off the noise was still there. As we were in a hurry to catch our train the next morning I forgot to mention it to the member of staff at the hotel.
- Kensu (8/5): Very good - Handing my door key into reception every time I went out.
- Moody (7/5): Good -
- Achraf (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqueline (4/5): Very disappointing - It’s location Seedy, tired, stained sheet, not good
- Jacopo (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ali (7/5): It was Alright! - Stuff was very friendly they were excellent communicator and helpful. We were late and they waited for us until we arrive!!!
That was amazing for them to do that! Beds are VERYYY small
- Fedun (8/5): Very good - convenient location, room is clean and has everything you need It's noisy outside at night, making it difficult to sleep
- Harry (7/5): Good -
- Neli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gaspard (8/5): Very good - Location and property 4th floor without elevator
- Paul (10/5): Clean staff excellent - Location structure Nothing
- Adolfo (6/5): Pleasant -
- Walsh (5/5): Passable - Too many stairs for people with bad joints and next door were doing renovation. So not a great experience. As above
- Yan (8/5): Good location - Good location, friendly front desk staff. Room with two beds well-separated, perfect for room sharing with a friend. The room was clean even it’s a bit dated. No air conditioning, very hot in the room.
- Nicolas (7/5): Good -
- Albert (9/5): Superb -
- Esther (8/5): Very good - The reception very friendly, nice room, close to the ferry port for my further travelling.
Beautiful neighborhood in the old town part of Toulon. Nice bed. All good, maybe a bit out dated but for not a problem. It gave its Charme.
No elevator. For me okay but just fyi.
- Tiril (6/5): Pleasant - An okay option for a short stay if you’re traveling on a low budget, but if you have the budget to stay somewhere else I would. Except the floors, very clean! The floors in my room were absolutely not clean, but except that it was nicely cleaned. It’s an old hotel, but you still expect things to be in order. For example the the button to flush the toilet got stuck in “flushing” position several times and was very complicated to get up again. And the trash can in the bathroom was falling apart. But the worst part about my room was the lack of daylight. The steel curtains outside the window was not possible to open, and with no air conditioning in the room and 25+ degrees outside the air quality in the room was _bad_.
- Sylwia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siu (8/5): Very good - Little bit noise
- Carlo (10/5): excellent stay - everything nothing
- Drjoaofrias (6/5): Pleasant -
- Matthias (9/5): Great value for money - Great value for money. The room is small but clean and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is large with a bathtub and a clean toilet, which is all I wanted. At the price they offered the room, I had nothing to complain about
- Robin (8/5): Very good -
- Coates (10/5): Excellent location, staff and bed !! - Excellent location walkable to the train station and in the centre of the ville. Staff are super friendly and the bed was extremely comfortable. Absolute value for money.
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- Marcia (10/5): Exceptional - The bfast was wonderful and location central to the center city.
- Aleksey (10/5): Exceptional - It is very close to the centre. Clean room. Nice staff. Quiet place. Actually, it is mostly good than something else.
- María (9/5): Charming, convenient hotel in the heart of the city - Nice, spacious and airy rooms, with beautiful views Furniture a bit rundown
- Chengyu (8/5): Very good -
- Claudie (9/5): Superb -
- Cathal (6/5): Pleasant -
- Olivier (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yulia (9/5): Superb - Location, friendly staff, warmth room and very big blanket. Important for tall person. As always, if you choose old nice building, be ready to climb stairs. I was ready for :)
- Marelize (9/5): Excellent value for money - Very central, wonderfully friendly reception, well appointed, lovely room
- Neil (6/5): Small hotel close to the Harbour Side Restaurants. - Superb location close to the many harbour side restaurants. Clean room. Friendly receptionist. Booked twin room, but only double available on arrival. Difficulty getting room key one night as missing. It took some convincing to get access to the room.
- Magali (10/5): Exceptional - I loved everything from the moment I stepped in! Antonella got in touch before I arrived and kindly checked me in earlier as the room was free. She is such a kind host, speaks perfect french and English and explained where I could go in the city, and left me a map The apartment is AMAZING, on via Roma, next to the metro and historic center. Beautiful, spacious, comfortable and clean bedroom with all facilities needed (+ Nespresso machine, breakfast ), large bathroom with a bath, towels, hair dryer etc. This is the place to stay if you're visiting the city for sure. I will be back! Nothing
- Radek (9/5): Superb -
- Jarle (8/5): Good stay. Close to everything. - Nice people.Clean Close to the down Town.
- Gerry (7/5): Good - Great location and comfortable room Room on 4th floor with no lift
- Vivian (6/5): It’s not very good experience that staying in this hotel. - Clean, location is good One of staff who is at reception is not friendly, no patient, not willing to help solve problems. Others are all good.
And very noisy. If you are unlucky stay the room street side, in the weekend there are a group of people playing music, having party at square, drinking, screaming whole night.
- Vivian (3/5): Not worth the money. And not particularly clean. - The bathroom has been renovate, doe not have mold, and has good modern lighting. The sheets were clean and bug free. No heat in the room and it is chilly there at night. Phone did not work, two towels had to be returned as they were stained. A coffee tray was also returned as it was broken. I called the reception gentleman because of the heating and he said someone would attend in 10 minutes. No one did so I returned to reception and a very nice young man came up to my room and confirmed the heat did not work. He noted the extra blanket in the closet and said with a doubtful expression: "It might be ok. It might be."
- Thierry (7/5): Ok for a short stay - Convenient location by the harbor No elevator
- Alice (9/5): Superb - Great location near the port and in the old town. Spacious room, dog friendly and good value.

- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Rachel (6/5): Comfy room - Nice staff good location
- Peta (9/5): Superb - Loved the location near station, port, restaurants and right on the edge of the old town. Felt very safe as a solo female..Very friendly staff . Very welcoming to my dog. Room well appointed , although dated, this is reflected in the price though and is excellent value. Mug in room was very cracked and needs replacing.
- Adrian (8/5): Overnight stay - Very close to train station. Cheap and cheerful. Clean and all facilities required for a one night stay Little noisy outside but not a problem sleeping
- Mike (5/5): Passable -
- Bruna (6/5): Pleasant -
- Robyn (3/5): The property does not reflect reality!!! We only overnight thank goodness but the extra euros - View of the church from out the bathroom window and salsa music from the large courtyard near by Shower - ridiculously small could hardy close the door without squeezing into the corner. Electric lighting in bedrooms not connected. No TV remote …. Found under bed just before checkout . Very small room. In competent who unfortunately are not updated with guest agreed arrangement .
Fan needs a good clean as it is blowing dirt and dust is not good for anyone let alone asthmatics or breathing issues.
- Zhao (10/5): very good - a lovely decorated place, day and night is quiet, very worthful. Stuff are super nice and helpful.
- Nick (2/5): Poor - avoid if possible. We could not wait to leave!! - Filthy fans in the rooms. Only 2 of 3 rooms were of the type booked
- Jim (7/5): Did the turn - good breakfast Stairs a bit tricky especially with lighting

- Marie (8/5): Very good - Great location near the port Stairs
- Vitaly (7/5): Good - Centrally located, spacious room, a bit worn out, but still good price/quality. Didn't like the concept of giving back the keys every time you step out of the hotel. Had to wait some time before the hotel door was opened, as the personnel at the reception is not always right there.
