• GrandTour30162063351 (2/5): Beware - Would not stay! My kids and I were staying for a soccer tournament. Chose this hotel because it had an indoor pool for the kids. Checked in and ask about the pool and was told it was closed for renovations. Nothing was posted before booking. As soon as we got to the room, I checked everything over. The toilet had what I’m guessing was cleaning acid all over seat (still wet) I wiped it up and it took paint/coat off the seat. Tried to flush and toilet wouldn’t flush. Tried 5 or 6 times to no avail. Went and told the front desk and they said they had no other rooms available and maintenance could maybe get there the next day (Saturday). We had to have a working toilet so we decided to check out right after we had checked in and stay somewhere else. Tried to get a refund and it was denied. Workers weren’t rude but their toilet not working was apparently our problem. Would highly recommend looking elsewhere when choosing a place to stay, or risk eating $165 for a room you didn’t use…

Rooms clean and comfortable Our room was located by the elevator and you could hear people talking so loud until 1:00am. The room was very noisy. Did not like that. Would hope further away from elevators would be much more quiet and peaceful

• Joe (6/5): Remodel along with further staff development - The outside of the property was in the process of being repainted, I appreciate that fact. My issue was with the lack of knowledge y the night staff. The struggle of booking to a third part I believe more training would be helpful and encourage your night manager to help with more professional communication to their help line while trying to find a solution. I felt bad for the people on both ends of the call.

She fixed whatever it is after 40 minutes saying its something to do with "taxes" Also the pillows weren't comfy at all

• Susan (2/5): - We had reserved a room at the La Quinta and when we got there it had changed to a Comfort Inn and Expedia didn’t notify us. We tried to contact Expedia but they hung up on us 5 + times. I won’t use Expedia again because they don’t stay up to date with the hotels. It was in a very shady part of town and we were afraid our car would be broken into and Expedia had given it a 4 star. Be aware!

Outside entry of hotel needs some attention but I suspect that is from the recent change in management and will get attention. Bed was great. Room was large decent and clean. Breakfast was fine. Staff was great and attentive.

• Cheyenne (1/5): Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else - Parking to hotel was quick and easy. It was dirty and ran down. The lobby had a few spots that needed repair and the windows must have been leaking because there were towels on the ledges. The leather chair in our room was peeling and was missing half the leather on the seat. We didn’t get fresh sheets, which was apparent from a big wet circle from someone sitting either after a swim or fresh out the shower, this was only on the sheets and padding layer, the comforter layer above it was dry. Originally front desk service was nice enough, until I had to call back about a simple billing concern and they were so rude from the moment they answered the phone. Considering I didn’t even make a fuss about the dirty sheets which is gross and opted to just remove them myself and get to bed without a complaint. I try not to be a bother but it’s a no for me. For what it’s worth the breakfast was good and check in/out was quick. Location wasn’t one to envy with the views but it is nearby many things with easy commute.

• Erika (4/5): Safety Hazards Galore - I don’t even know where to start. First, based on the reviews and photos, I thought this would be at least a clean hotel. Well there was black mold in the shower, scratches all over the walls and headboards, electric outlet covers are missing, smoke detectors are hanging from the ceiling, solid 2 inch gaps between the floor and front door to each hotel room, the list goes on. I’m shocked this hotel is actually still standing after the storms rolled through. The staff was nice, however I’m not sure how much longer they will have jobs considering there is a “tax notice” taped to the front door stating the sale of this property due to taxes owed. Breakfast was fine, lots of packaged items, fruit and coffee. Would not stay here again and would definitely not stay here if you’re even a tad worried about cleanliness or safety.
