• Paul (8/5): Amazing Staff! - The staff at Hotel Luxor are absolutely amazing and a real credit to the organisation. A special thank you to Sara who couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful from the moment we walked in to the time we picked up our cases to leave, and to Awais who kindly made us a cup of tea every evening after a full day of exploration. Thank you also to Sonia for providing us with a lovely breakfast every morning, and to Sharon and all the housekeeping staff for making our stay so comfortable. The Hotel's proximity to the railway lines can be an issue if you are a light sleeper.

• Wyatt (5/5): Staff was nice and accommodating. - Staff was great but sadly the negatives outweigh the positives on this one. AC locked at 77 F or 25 C. If you opened the two sets of doors on the balcony to let in cold air, you just heard the trains that are literally a stone’s throw away. Walls are so thin we heard everything in the other rooms. Bed was hard and reminded us of dorm room mattresses from college.
• Geoff (9/5): We were warmly welcomed at check in by Sharain and Adriana who personallytook us to our room and provided us with local - A very clean and spotless spacious room with a lovely shower and toilet area and the bed was so comfortable and room temperature was perfect.for our two night stay in Florence There was nothing I disliked as outside noise was at a minimum and even close to the train line it wasn’t a problem also a fantastic view across to the big wheel with light displays at night

Anche il bagno è grande e funzionale, con una doccia molto confortevole. Il personale è impeccabile: gentile, attento e sempre disponibile. La colazione è abbastanza buona e abbondante; migliorerei soltanto la qualità delle torte e dei cornetti, ma la sala è accogliente e ben organizzata. La posizione è perfetta: vicino alle principali attrazioni e comodissima per raggiungere la stazione. Nel complesso, un soggiorno estremamente piacevole. Consigliato! Migliorare la qualità della colazione

Very small, nothing like the pictures. The breakfast was also underwhelming, I don’t recommend booking with the breakfast.
• vickimZ5043GO (8/5): Your base for exploring Firenze - We needed a place to stay for two nights in Firenze without breaking the bank and the Luxor fit the bill. Signora Sara was a great host, checking us in, taking us to our room, and arranging for a nifty EcoTour of Firenze. The breakfast was just perfect to start the stay (try the macchiato...you won't regret it). The only reason we give this four stars and not five is the very unconventional arrangement of the hotel (by U.S. standards) and some extra steps we had not anticipated given some of our mobility impairment. Walking distance to Stazione Santa Maria Novella (had we been more fleet of foot) was perfect.

The area is very downgraded .The hotel is in a building near the rails of the main station of FIRENZE and it is very old.In order to go to the reception,you had to go out of the building and enter in a short of a shop area.There was not even toilet paper enough for my 2 days stay in the WC.The breakfast was very poor and when I went down at 9.00 oclock in the morning there was practically nothing left to eat and no replacement .In the room there was a machine for coffee but not coffee ...when I asked they said that they were short of tablets .I chose the hotel as it was near PITTI but in order to arrive there you had to pass from a very dirty and busy bridge where the atmosphere was unbearable and I had a hard time to breathe.DEFINETELY NOT WORTH FOR THE 220 EUROS I SPENT PER NIGHT .

• RajbirJaglan (10/5): A good convenient hotel near station - We visited in start of June. We were looking for a hotel near to the station, from where we can drag our luggage, as in following days we needed to make several day trip to Pisa and Venice. We made Florence as base camp. Contrary to other reviews we find this hotel quite good. we took junior suite on first floor as we had two kids. It is hardly 50 mtr from station, you can walk along tram lines. Yes, it is near station and railway lines, but that didn't disturbed our sleep, as there are no train during night, so that aspect was fine. For vegan like us, breakfast always have option of bread, pastry, fruits etc. One thing that I find interesting is :They provided free coffee in their bar down stair, as many times as you want. Regular elevator is not there, but do have lift to take your luggage to your room. anyway, it is just the first floor. Overall I find their service and amenities and location that suited me well
• Aliriza (6/5): - Good value - you get what you pay for. It’s on the southern side of the train station, abit of a walk but overall fine
• Deepu (6/5): - Plumbing leaks in wash basin.
• Maria (10/5): - We had everything we needed, great location, good breakfast and the staff was very kind.

• Adam (6/5): Pleasant - Breakfast was simple but good. The air conditioner would not go below 24C / 75F. We tried opening the windows at night but it only let mosquitos in. Very uncomfortable to sleep in. The next day we tried to leave the windows open during the day to cool off the room but the cleaning staff closed them so we arrived back to a very warm room and another uncomfortable night of sleeping.
• Margueret (9/5): Superb - Spacious room, no issues whatsoever. Receptionist Sarah was lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay! Nearest convenience store was like 6 or 8min walk
