Guest Reviews
- David (7/5): Comfortable and well-equipped family cabin accommodation in caravan park. - Well located caravan park with comfortable, well-equipped and spacious on-site cabin accommodation. Friendly staff at reception on check-in. Some traffic noise from highway.
- Alyce (9/5): -
- Anne (7/5): It was ok but I probably wouldn’t stay there again - Very clean Air con was noisy. Lots of noise through the night, not sure of the source - not human
- Leanne (8/5): - Beautiful area, well.maintaned Key fob missimg from key tag for power access, after hours helped to.locate a fob in a speedy time frame tho.
- Kelly (7/5): - Conveniently located, bed was comfy Cabin needs repairs.
Light fixture had wires and buld exposed, tap nearly fell off, towel rail fell off several times, aircons were average.
Would have requested another room if the park wasn't fully booked.
- Pryor (1/5): - Nothing Very out of date old and messy
- Courtney (6/5): Apart from the dirty plate and unmade bed was comfy and convenient for a one night stay travelling through. Pool area lo - Separate main bed room from bunks. Clean. Easy late check in. Booked for two children but only one bed in the bunk was made up. Sheets were there for other bed but had to make it myself after a long drive. One of the plates was dirty so had to wash plates before and after use. No tea towel to dry dishes to put away so didn’t use anything in the morning as I had to let them drain overnight.
- Caitlin (8/5): -
- Laura (4/5): - Cozy and nice spot I had no hot water in my cabin and tried to call reception unfortunately they were shut I rang the emergency number and left a message but they never got back to me
- Shari (8/5): -
- Cindy (9/5): -
- Wilson (5/5): - Quiet and pool was great Cabins need a tidy up. door on shower was hard to open and close. Very little water pressure. Bedrooms were small and beds uncomfortsble
- Debbie (4/5): -
- Hughsey84 (9/5): - Quiet and nice pool Nothing
- Lynda (7/5): Great location but needs some love. - Location The property had been let go compared to when we stayed several years ago. The gardens around the pool and reception were overgrown. The kids play area had been dismantled but the coppers logs and rubbish just left in the sandpit. If we had kids with us we would have been very disappointed. It’s very sad to see as it was such a beautiful park.
- Talisa (9/5): -
- Hero (10/5): -
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Karina (9/5): - Location and cleanliness of the cabin. Only issue we had was the main power point in the kitchen was faulty and unsafe, toaster tripped power when plugged in. Notified staff when vacated the property. otherwise everything else was perfect
- Sharlene (8/5): - Accomodation was clean and presentable Grounds upkeep needs attention.
- Jodie (5/5): - Great location. Close to boarding school The park needs a tidy up.
- Steven (7/5): Good - Cabin and pool The distance from town when you dont have a car or taxi service a real issue
- Benjarong (1/5): Do not stay here WARNING. - I like the country look, the pool was beautiful set up, just needs to stay cleaned as there was white specs floating everywhere and they don’t give you an extra towel. We had missing lights, missing blinds, broken blinds, broken fridge seal so kept opening up and things in the fridge did not want to stay cold. Cockroach was in the kitchen/ kids bed and bathroom, broken balcony part, no wifi to the tv or phones and no help from any staff. Staff don’t know how to handle complaints so it just seems rude and childish behaviour and lack of service. No conditioner for hair and what ever product they give you makes your hair almost rip out when you try to brush your hair. Asked staff if they could check if there is a hair dryer as our son had a school dinner event on that night, couldn’t even go check and didn’t know if there’s one. Spider web going from tv to lights so no proper cleaning was done, mould in aircon, mould in taps of the sinks, and bad smell when we first went in, had to air dry the place for a couple hours.
- Peter (8/5): Very pleasant - Self catered.
- Elizabeth (7/5): -
- Neil (8/5): Nice place to stay - Clean and easy to park Nothing

- Bek (4/5): Reception lady / staff were lovely. That’s about it. - The bed in the family cabin was comfortable The aircon didn’t work. The unit is old and needs replacing. The kids room doesn’t have aircon at all. The one in the loungeroom had to be blasting at 18 to cool the whole cabin down.
The shower door didn’t shut. No light fitting in the bathroom. Which by itself wouldn’t be an issue. But just highlighting how tired and unkept this place is.
The soap dispenser leaks all over the bathroom cabinet and floor. The pool , gardens and place in general needs a really good makeover . The pool furniture is brittle or broken . It’s in desperate need of some love. You could do 1 night here if you needed to. But if you’re staying in charters towers longer. Would recommend looking elsewhere

- SeanR07 (2/5): The smell of death emitting from the rangehood - The pool and the receptionist was lovely. The studio cabin was very uncomfortable and had an awful stench of death emitting from the rangehood. We tried to locate the smell once entering and soon located it inside the rangehood which had loads of gunk and burnt oily residue from years of build up. Very unsure if it has ever been cleaned. Ended up leaving the cabin at 4am because we felt nauseous from the smell. The floor in the bathroom also was very stained and revolting, we felt the need to wear shoes at all times inside, especially in the shower, from the fear of getting diseases from the grime. We were even tempted to wear shoes in the bed. I understand it was cheap accommodation but it's a basic human right to have fresh air and clean amenities.

- Rachel (3/5): Outdated and no longer the place to stay - The staff were kind even as we decided to leave. I have stayed at this park multiple times each year from 2005 - 2018. So, after coming back, excited to see the place again, I can say this is not the same place I knew. We actually handed our key back in as soon as we saw the inside and went elsewhere. I remember always loving this place, but now it is dated, dirty, with electrical wiring that doesn't look safe, with missing light covers. The floor was still wet and it felt like the cabin was going to fall. The lock on the door was also being extremely difficult. As sad as it is, this place needs some serious refurbishment.
- Sarah (6/5): - Pool was nice, and the cabin was a good size for 3 ppl. Pillows were soft. It's rundown. Towel rack broken, shower curtain dirty, bunk beds are small in length.
- Peter (7/5): -
- Helen (7/5): Perfect for a week stay to attend the cricket carnival - The pool area was lovely Very dated cabins, park needs maintaining
- Peter Shane (9/5): great stay - everything nothing
- Matsushima (7/5): -
- Nerrida (8/5): Great facilities, very comfortable and good value for money - Great facilities and kitchen items in unit, made it easy to prepare own meals, really good sized fridge and freezer. Couple of broken items -coffe table and second bedroom door.
- Megan (7/5): Pleased with our stay. Would love to see the grounds shown a little TLC - Good location. Has everything you need. Grounds is looking unkempt. Play ground was broken
- June (7/5): - Location, great bed Maintenance needed in cabin
- Tamara (10/5): - Was a home away from home.
Was nice to come back to after a long day Wasn't a dislike but only issue was how hard the entry is to find at night. Signage not very well lit
- Narelle (9/5): GREAT PLACE TO STAY -
- Reschke (7/5): Comfortable and clean but a little dated , the beds and pillows were good. - Cabin was clean and not too far from town .It was a quiet location with not many other guests. We thought our cabin was clean and comfortable and air conditioning worked welll but a little dated , I felt like I was on school camp.
- Ross (7/5): - Pool and Cabin were nice Grounds around the park looking a bit run down gardens need a good clean up loop
- Elizabeth (10/5): We loved the location, surrounds and especially the beautiful pool. -
- Leanne (3/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): -
- Scott (7/5): -
- Rebecca (10/5): Enjoyed our stay, so good for the family as space for the kids to roam. - Very clean, great for families and great area. Nil
- Yvette (8/5): - It was a nic place. The pizza night for fantastic. The playgrounds for the kids were not good unfortunately.
- Rena (5/5): - Receptionist was lovely, pool was a good size, location easy to find Grounds and gardens very unkept, playground broken with tape up, pool furniture broken or brittle, fridge kept freezing up, cabins outdated with chunks of lino missing. Outside bin wasn’t emptied at all over a 5 day stay.
- Dionne (6/5): - Booked a 2 bedroom to get away from kids and no aircon working in main room so had to leave door open for air flow.
- Julie (6/5): -
- Shaelee (4/5): - Gardens were very untidy looking, palm fronds laying around the park not picked up, weeds growing over the fence of the pool area.
- Eunsil (Cindy) (10/5): -
- Tamara (7/5): -
- Cindy (4/5): - Pool Is excellent, but the facilities and pathways are run down Security screen - screen damaged and torn, looks like attempted breakin.
Key didn’t lock glass entry sliding door. Felt unsafe area
Property looks run down
- Toni (9/5): -
- Cherie (10/5): Definitely a returning customer - Friendly on phone staff helpful highly recommended Cleanliness, quiet and comfortable
- Marlene (6/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): Will stay again! - Great location. Pool was great. Nothing.
- Thomas (9/5): -
- Raymond (9/5): -
- Ian (9/5): -
- Neil (9/5): -
- Swarbrick (9/5): - Space Nil
- Kerrie (7/5): Pretty good stay. Just a stable larger bed would be a great improvement . For our cabin stay . - Pool was fantastic, cooking and bbq facilities great. Park is lovely. Laundry was great. Our cabin was near main road so noisy and bed wasnt the best . Rolled around .
- Jackie (9/5): -
- Nicole (7/5): Prima verblijf - Leuke accommodatie. Prima bedden. Heerlijke warme douche. Zitje op de veranda.
- Charmaine (8/5): - Close walking distance to town. Bed was comfortable. Too close to the main road
- Joyce (7/5): -
- Sarath (10/5): Very nice accomodation - Very nice room and everything was okay None
- John (4/5): Charters Towers is an amazing city but the caravan park soured the experience - Great hot showers and comfortable bed Had plenty of facilities for caravanning folk but cabins were something from the 70’s! Bijou, minute ensuite need good clean. Noisy highway particularly early hours of morning,
- Mareea (9/5): - Location & presentation
Pizzas were good too Nothing
- Dave (8/5): -
- Carmen (3/5): Was not worth what we paid - Nothing The fly wire door had a whole in it the light above kitchen wasn’t working the single bed had springs come through so no way could anyone sleep on it and it felt dirty inside.
- Colin (10/5): -
- Megan (5/5): Disappointing - I recently stayed in a family studio cabin and was surprised to be charged an additional fee on arrival, despite having already paid for the room at the time of booking. This extra charge was explained as being “for linen,” even though the number of guests did not exceed the number of beds provided in the cabin.
To make matters more disappointing, some of the beds were not made up and the " linen" provided was a single flat sheet and a mattress protector.
- Karen (9/5): Will stay again. - Loved separate toilet. No coffee table.
- Findlay (6/5): Pleasant - Toilets were clean.
- Frank (6/5): Cabins need some TLC - We arrived on Wednesday which worked out really well as the staff do a wood fired pizza on the premises on Wednesday making it easier for dinner rather than going into town or cooking especially if you've been driving all day. WiFi was terrible. Kept dropping out every 5 minutes which made it really frustrating to watch TV or do work on the lap top.
For the city prices they charge we were hoping for perhaps a bit more but mainly it was all pretty basic.
The cabins really need some $ spent to upgrade them. They appear to be tired, worn and in need of some TLC.
- Susanne (10/5): Enjoyed our stay - loved it so much we stayed extra days. Thank you 😃 - Everything. Warm friendly managers(staff). Clean cabin, well appointed- great location.
Jane (manager) was extremely helpful and accommodating - when we wanted to stay extra nights. Really appreciated all they did for us. The TV reception was challenging. Just the area, not something Aussie Outback can remedy I’m sure.
- Maree (6/5): Pleasant - Booking. Com need to do a check of unit 7.
There is no working smoke detector. One cracked power point. One broken fluro, no tube. The exhaust fan in the shower is very dangerous with no protective grill. And the refrigerator ran 24/7
Very poor.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Lindsay (8/5): Very good -
- James (9/5): Superb - Great all round
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - A few repairs could be done in the cabin like blinds and remote for air con
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Imogen (5/5): Passable -
- Jessica (5/5): Basic and ok - Meals for $25 offered on a Sunday night for 3 courses Cleanliness of rooms were dusty and rubbish still from previous people. Clothes also left in cupboards from previous people. Floors dirty. Couldn’t lock window as tv cord was going through the window.
- Trudie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jim (6/5): I would stay again, however it’s a little pricey for one person. - Facilities were older but nice. Bed was comfortable. Staff were excellent. No front fence to stop ‘curious’ passers from entering. No cover for motorcycle to stop leaf and animal excrement from falling on motorcycle.
- Julie (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent Nothing
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (2/5): Would not recommend to anyone - The lady that helped us try to fix tv was nice Very out dated.Tv did not work then told they very rarely get reception. No fly screen so could not leave door open as was told it was previously broken.Light in bathroom did not work.
- Don (10/5): Exceptional -
