Guest Reviews
- Felix (10/5): - This is an exceptional find near the centre of Penrith. A spacious and comfortable guest house, great value, a short walk from the centre of town, with private parking, excellent service and a variety of delicious breakfast choices. Mark and Paula are lovely people and excellent hosts, kind and considerate, and very attentive to the needs of guests. Many thanks to them for a top quality B&B experience.
- David (8/5): - Good value ensuite room with a lovely welcome by the helpful owners. Breakfast menu is quite limited and served promptly in your room. Note there is no dining or sitting room.
- Cindy (10/5): - A great location and a very comfortable property with proprietors that were amazingly accommodating. Fingers crossed you get some warm cookies upon arrival and the breakfast is spot on even if you are not a vegetarian.

Breakfast served in the room which was different but not unpleasant.

Breakfast was lovely and brought up to my room.
A good place to stay along my journey north.
- Sara (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay at Norcroft Guest House. The staff members are kind. I was able to check-in early and was so grateful for that. I was offered a slice of lemon cake on arrival (delicious!) and offered fruit to take on my last morning when I wasn't going to be there for breakfast. The breakfast was tasty and delivered to my room at the time I requested. I would definitely stay here again if ever in Penrith in the future. Thank you! My only suggestion would be an upgrade to the mattress and pillows.

- Heather (10/5): Lovely hotel with welcoming friendly owners - I was given a very warm welcome and offered a homemade cookie ( very delicious). I stayed in.room.8 a single small but more than adequate, everything was provided and the room and bathroom.were spotlessly clean. The hotel requires that you pre-order breakfast for delivery at a chosen time slot, the next morning it arrived bang on time and was lovely and hot with everything you could expect. Thanks for a great stay

On arrival we where offered Triple chocolate muffins, they where delicious and fresh, we also put our order in for breakfast in the morning.
On the morning a freshly cooked breakfast was brought to our room, could not fault the food or the service.
Mark and Paula where very helpful hosts.

- David (10/5): Great 1 night stay in a family room - Great stay at this guesthouse. Lovely hosts, very clean and comfortable family room with bunk beds for kids. Breakfast brought into room, tasty, as were home made oat cookies on arrival. Overall great 1 nigth stay and would recommend and return if in the area.
- JOHN (8/5): - Good location close to town centre and not far from railway and bus stations; good breakfast; good show

- Pauline (8/5): Visiting Family - Room was lovely and clean and hosts very friendly and welcoming. Your breakfast is brought to your room, which is a lovely touch. I stayed in a single room right at the top of the house. If I had one little thing to say, it would be the lack of a mirror in the bedroom to get ready and do my hair, but other than that, no complaints.
There was private parking at the back of the hotel which is a bonus as Penrith can be difficult for that.
- Sandra (8/5): - Really nice and helpful would definitely stay again
- Aliona (8/5): Excellent! - I had a fantastic stay at Norcroft Guest House. The staff were friendly, the service was great, and breakfast in bed was a lovely treat and the bed was huge. Highly recommend!

- Craig (10/5): Nice one night stay - Was staying over after hiking Helvellyn a 2”30 minute drive away from Penrith. Warm welcome from the hosts Mark & Paula who even gave me a home baked cookie on arrival which was a nice touch. I stayed in a basic single room which was perfect. Pre-ordered breakfast for a set time which was delivered to my room on time and was delicious. Will definitely stay here again when I return to the Lake District.
- Julia (10/5): Fab place to stay well worth the money - Lovely little hotel, host's really friendly and helpful, lovely breakfast brought to room at time you ask, room clean and comfortable, could do with mirror in room for when you use hairdryer, will definitely be back.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Only slight criticism is id like bacon and proper sausages for breakfast, however location was good. Free parking. We got some fresh cookies on arrival which were amazing.
Id definitely stay here again if im ever in penrith. Mark was an amazing host.

- Barry (10/5): - A traditional bed & breakfast. Great communication from the hosts in advance, and they were very helpful on arrival sorting out parking and fresh water to take up. The room was comfortable and clean. I didn't have time for breakfast, but it would have been served at the room (you pre-order the night before). The hosts were very friendly and I would stay there again.
- Phil (10/5): - Lovely hosts the cake was a nice touch. Comfortable room and tasty breakfast. Will be back again. Thanks
- James (10/5): Excellent Stay - I would highly recommend, Paula and Mark are great hosts

The breakfast is even brought to your room in the morning at the specified time of your choice which was awesome. Food was excellent and hot. Overall fantastic value for money. And half the price of the local premier inn. Cant recommended this bed and breakfast enough.
