- Sandra (10/5): Excellent comfort, hosts and value! - This property is excellent on every level. I booked for 2 nights and stayed for 6. Was incredibly comfortable and creative here. Quality linens, soft comfortable bed, AC, airy and very clean. Room had good balcony and quality chair to contemplate the mountains. Pretty quiet. The host family are amazing with their guests. Breakfast quick and delicious. I felt very welcome and positive staying in the rooms. Room on 4th floor so there are stairs to climb (no lift, as typical for area) but not overwhelming. I stayed in other Pokhara properties and this one is the best by far!! Nothing.

Ο κύριος Guru, ο ιδιοκτήτης, είναι και οδηγός trekking και μας έδωσε πολύ καλές συμβουλές για διαδρομές στην περιοχή. Το πρωινό επίσης πολύ καλό! Θα το ξαναεπέλεγα άνετα

Owner himself was very active along with his family . Good stay . One room 103 was not having mirror in the room . TVs were not functional.

- George (9/5): Family-owned hotel with a welcoming atmosphere - It is a family-run hotel in a nice and quiet street. On a small hill off of a main road, so it is easily accessible by walking. The property is conveniently located near restaurants and shopping areas and is convenient for sightseeing. The owner is Mr. Guru who is very helpful with information and advice. He introduced us to his famiy members. Breakfast was provided and served in the hotel's beautiful and relaxing garden, with many flowers and trees. Although there is no elevator in the property, the staff kindly carried our bags up to the room on a high floor, which was much appreciated. Overall a comfortable and relaxing stay at Hotel Guru, and would certainly stay here again. This is NOT a reflection on the hotel itself, but unfortunately the mountain view from the "super-deluxe room with a mountain view" was obscured by clouds. We were able to see many para-gliders floating from a high ridge, but were only finally able to see the mountains on the way to the airport after checking out. I have come to realise that when travelling in Nepal, the "glorious mountain view" is seasonal and entirely dependent on the whims of Mother Nature (yes, maybe for 5 minutes, or not at all). On a clear day, the mountain view from the hotel window would be majestic !!

Zimmergröße, Dusche mit Abtrennung und Regendusche. Balkon zum raussetzen. Preis / Leistung... Alles perfekt. Guru und seine Familie helfen wo es geht ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Auch die jungen Putzdamen sind sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist perfekt und man kann auswählen, was man essen möchte. Die Lage ist ruhig aber dennoch nah am See. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!! Da fällt uns nichts ein.

Great location near the lake/cafes - This is a family run hotel managed by Guru,his wife and son who were very good hosts kind and courteous too. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel and the front garden is kept very clean including the rooms. Hot water available for the shower,comfy beds and a kettle available. Breakfast was a choice of eggs and toast,yoghurt and muesli too. I am of Indian heritage and love Masala chaii! Guru's wife who was always smiling made me not one but two mugs of delicious Masala Chaii every morning during our stay for breakfast. We had to check out at 7am on our last day Guru's wife made a breakfast box for us. The location was near everything, the lake, ATM's,tour operators,restaurants/cafes,shopping and plenty of salons/massage parlours. We were both vegetarians and found plenty of vegetarian/vegan and Halal options too Nothing.

Прекрасное расположение, до лейксайда 5 минут, но ночью тихо. Горячий душ и кондиционер - после трека звучит как фантастика. Владелец отеля Гуру встречает своих постояльцев как дорогих гостей и помогает советом и организацией досуга - все было очень просто и на высшем уровне, очень благодарны за это.

They also arranged my laundry while I was away in the mountains. They also have suggestions and tips on how to get to places. All in all, very pleasant experience.

Lage zentral in Lakeside, wenige Minuten zum See, aber dennoch ruhig. alles bestens!

- Martin (10/5): Warm welcome at hotel Guru. - The hotel is ideally located close to the lakeside but situated in a calm, quiet and safe area, close to numerous restaurants and convenience stores. Checking in was prompt and was done by the owner Guru, who along with his family are incredibly friendly and helpful should you have any questions. My room was spotlessly clean, had a huge bed and benefited from a balcony which had distance views of the snow capped mountains. An appetising breakfast was served in the pleasant and shaded garden. I fully enjoyed my four night stay at the hotel guru, and can wholeheartedly recommend a stay at this friendly establishment. Nothing.

Everything was exceptional, from the staff to the room, the location, and even the breakfast. The main tourist area of Pokhara is just a 3 to 5 minute walk away, and everything you need is nearby. The rooms were spotless, the staff was warm and helpful, and the service was excellent. Most importantly, the owner was incredibly kind and genuinely cared for our comfort. The hotel truly reflects his personality. It is welcoming, thoughtful, and the best in every way. It was a pleasure to have such a host, and the entire stay felt special because of it. Definitely recommended!

What makes it so special in my opinion is that Mr Guru, the owner, was for a very long time a mountain guide. He thus, provided me with very good advices on what and how I should proceed and organize myself. Unlike other hotels he is not selling tours but just kindly sharing his knowledge. It was possible to adjust breakfast time, because we were leaving really early for a trip. Also Guru (the owner) helped us a lot with our trip, when we had an issue with our guide, who got sick on the last minute. He did not need to do it, but we really appreciated the help, it helped us to decide what to do no complains

They prepared us early warm breakfast, as our bus was leaving early. They could arrange the bus ticket to Chitwan. We booked the mountain view room, where the picture shows the Himalayas and I extra asked on chat whether the room offers view of Annapurna range. Despite the photo and confirmation our room was on the opposite side and looked at the small, bushy hills. Unfortunately the view was the main decision factor for hotel selection, thus it was a pity not to have the promised view.

The staff are very caring and Guru the owner is very helpful. It’s an easy couple of minutes walk to the main areas. It has a clean modern bathroom with a curtain/glass inclosed shower with plenty of hot water. The refrigerator and balcony are added pluses. They serve a great large breakfast inside or in the garden. The owner, Guru, is determined to make your stay enjoyable. He arranged my transport to Ghandunk and when I returned then to Besisahar also. This family owned hotel will certainly meet your needs as a great place to stay in Pokhara. As a avid traveler and I've been to Pokhara many times, this has been the best hotel I've stayed. Highly recommend.

The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with a comfortable balcony. It has everything needed even for a long stay. Excellent Wi-Fi, a small refrigerator, and a kettle, along with convenient closets, make it feel like home. The hotel is managed by wonderful, attentive, and responsive people who are pleasant to talk to and whom you can rely on for many issues. The hotel is located close to, but slightly away from, the bustling waterfront, so you can enjoy both the city's atmosphere and some seclusion. There are small shops, restaurants, and hair salons nearby. Next time, I will definitely stay here again. I like everything.
