Joyce (10/5): - The Mohican is pet-friendly old fashioned styled "motel" that accommodated us and my 7lb dog. The young lady at the front desk at check-in was very nice and accommodating. We arrived a little earlier than the 3 o'clock check-in and she was able to get us settled in a half hour early. The pools, indoor and outdoor, and hot tub were clean and enjoyable. Clean bedding and towels. We loved having a "key" not a card to enter our room. Inside was a large, full sized room with two double beds, full sized bathroom with atub and shower, nice sized TV, a little table with chairs, small refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave. Perfect for our short stay in the area. In the back area, they had a basketball court, cornhole, volleyball nets, fire pit with Adirondack chairs. A small game room and a small workout area... very basic but for what our needs were, it was perfect. Afffordable, clean, accommodating...five minute drive to the Steamboat Company. Many restaurants with 5 minutes. I definitely would go back the next time I'm in the area.

Krystle (8/5): Family getaway - The motel is a bit dated. The tile in the bathroom was cracked and shower pressure lack luster but… Our room was very clean and quiet. The outside pool was wonderful, again a little dated but it served the purpose and was clean. There is a playground which was great for our daughter.

We used both the indoor and outdoor pools and while we stayed in a pet friendly 2 queen room, there was no evidence of odor of other dogs. Room was a nice size. Overall I think great value.

Mary (8/5): Wonderful stay - Staff at Mohegan was very friendly and welcoming. Our experience there was very good, but they have been slowly remodeling and are just getting up and running again as of Memorial Day, so little things that needed to be addressed were addressed by staff in a timely manor. The grounds are small, but very very clean, with 2 areas for those who smoke. There is a community firepit and grill available, with a playground and basketball. The indoor pool is very clean and recently underwent some rennovation, so is welcoming. There is a small hot tub which was also very clean and maintained. The location for us was perfect. We didnt want to be right downtown, so this was smack in between the malls and antique market ( st ann/ queensbury) and downtown. We lodged in the 2 bedroom condo with a full kitchen and it was very comfortable for 4 adults. ( there is also a large pullout couch in the livingroom if needed). Kitchen includes utensils, coffee pot, stove, toaster, fridge. Bathroom has hairdryer. If you plan on cooking and dont want to grill, i recommend bringing your own fry pan and a pot , as i didnt see either in the kitchen yet. Coffee pot is standard coffee pot, so bring filters and coffee when you go. There is also an outdoor pool in front of the office and a small game and exercise room off the pool area. Pets welcome for a fee. There's a 20$ service fee for each credit card charge so be advised to use card to charge mult. Rooms.( most venus now charge fee)

Verified traveler (4/5): Scammed - The day we arrived in the area, I got a call from the hotel stating that the room we reserved was not fit for our party size. The listing stated the room was sufficient for 5 people, which how many people we had. The woman insisted it was not and its the fault of the third party we reserved through (Hotels.com). She told us we would have to upgrade to the condo for $70 more. I asked if the hotel would waive the upgrade fee and she said that they could not. So I paid the 70 as she also said that we would not be refunded if we cancelled the booking. We felt completely taken advantage of. We would have stayed somewhere nicer for what we paid if we had known about this scam. Plus, the dining room floor, table and chairs were covered in the last customers crumbs, the curtains were riddled with holes, the door barely locked, and the walls were gross. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Verified traveler (6/5): Safe place to crash, not exactly a resort - Reserved a queen bed and 2 doubles which " sleeps 6"for a hotel "on the lake" . Got there after 3+ drive with my family of 6 and told I would have to take 2 rooms. I was given a discount but still cost $260 for the stay than I had anticipated. The room was really only to sleep not host a party but didnt have much choice. Either pay or find a last minute room in the area. Was also told the lake was aboit 3 miles down the road. Not exactly on the lake. So right off the bat, i felt like bait and switch action. Overall the place was clean for what you pay for. Curtains had holes and really need to be replaced. We had to figure out how everything plugged in, which switch did what and which breakers we had to turn on. Some of this is a little nit picky, but at $230 per night, weve stayed in much better places with a better overall feel. Some appliances didnt feel safe and one of the smoke detectors was pulled out of ceiling which felt like it was to save money on the battery. The indoor pool and area was clean and indoor jacuzzi was nice to have (but pretty foamy which could be from previous users not showering before entering amd not yhe places fault). For $200 per night, the place is sleepable, for 333 per night, I would expect more. (Yes, it came to $666)

You couldn’t flush toilet paper down the drain because they have a septic. Cleaning lady did a great job. Front office could be friendlier. We tried the indoor pool but it had leaves on it.

Steven (10/5): Excellent Stay - Rustic hotel just out side of Lake George, older place with lots of charm with decent sized rooms, AC worked great (90s during our trip). Pool and room were both nice and clean and staff was very attentive. There was no breakfast, but they did sell a small selection of snacks and drinks and had fresh coffee in the mornings. Plan on eating out or like us hit the Dunkin about a mile south for quick eats

Warm indoor pool, arcade, playground, basketball court, picnic tables with grills and and outdoor pool for sunning. Clean room with a variety of rooms to choose from. We stayed in a room with an upstairs and downstairs with two roomy beds and two bathrooms, great to have the kids upstairs and privacy for us downstairs with two porches to sit on and enjoy the evening.

Verified traveler (6/5): Stayed there previously. Nice indoor pool. - Toilet backed up. Phone not connected. No stsff on duty. Found the owners house and got him. Place was clean. Very old. No coffee or tea. Very basic for 160 per night plus taxes for 3 beds. Must admit it was a weekday and we were the only guests there. Not terrible. Not great.

Dennis (10/5): Excellent stay in superior location - Had an excellent two night stay. The staff was excellent. The room was clean and very comfortable. Would stay there again. A little pricey, but expected for the location.

Thomas (10/5): Comfortable stay - Nice little motel with 2 pools (indoor and outdoor each with hot tubs). Excellent service and nice family run operation. Parking a bit tight, but it was a holiday weekend.

Dee (10/5): Nice Hotel - I made the reservation but i couldn't make it ,but the rest of my party could. i called the day before and changed it to my sisters name and the young man on the phone was so helpful. My sister and her family were very happy and enjoyed there time at the hotel. It was her first time in the area and she can't wait to go back.
John (8/5): - Recently stayed at the Mohican Motel in the townhouse section. We stayed as a couple for 2 nights. The Mohican Motel is only 3 miles from lake george. The property ultra clean.....the owner and staff ultra friendly. Beautiful outdoor and indoor pools for the guest. The Rooms are very clean. Staff does a great job. Pet peeves.....1. Spiders in bathroom but understand this cant be helped for the area its in 2. Rug had a mildew smell to it which ignited my allergies 3. At night lights totally shutoff. If you are an out of towner easy to pass by area not lighted. It happened to us twice after spending night life in town. Otherwise place was great. I give it a 4.2 outta 5 stars.
Lorraine (8/5): Nice place to stay! - We arrived about 1/2 hour early. Our room was ready and available for us to occupy. We were given the keys and directions to our room by the gentleman at the front desk. Room was generous in size with a fairly large bathroom.
