Alynn (10/5): My second stay at the Stewart House - A rare gem nestled in the heart of the Hudson, and overlooking the river, this house of hospitality is not to be missed. The historic Stewart House is warm, rich and tastefully updated with beautiful finishes reminiscent of the period. The staff is friendly and professional, eager to enhance your experience. The bar is warm and dark as in days of the river traffic and the dinner offerings are exceptional and reasonably priced.

Rita (10/5): - The boutique hotel style was very charming. The way the room and the noot were furnished brought back the good old days of the hotel in the 19th century. We also appreciated the flexible, self service breakfast. The room overlooking the Hudson and the park was a plus during our stay.

Austin (4/5): - The first morning there was no water to drink or make tea/coffee. The second day we noticed the whole milk in the nook was off and lumpy. There were also no English tea bags. I suggest someone checks the nook every day.

Moira (9/5): Beautiful historic hotel with lovely views of the Hudson River. - Beautiful property, lovely location right on the river. The tavern and riverside grill aren’t open Monday through Wednesday, and there isn’t a good-size common area or lobby for a group of more than 2 people to sit and eat breakfast or enjoy a conversation. The small nook in the hallway where breakfast is served has a couple chairs but isn’t a gathering space. I ended up eating my breakfast in my room because the tavern area was closed off. It would have been nice to have a common seating area downstairs.

Chelsie (10/5): Lovely Place for a Small Town Getaway - This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the river view was great. The owner was friendly and helpful. Delicious food at the restaurant. We were a little confused by the contactless check in and it felt weird at first. But the owner gives you a free cocktail with your stay and she was very welcoming once we met her.

Thin walls, hard to reach by public transport, food at riverside resto not great quality. No good hiking near village and hard to reach the Catskills without own car.

John (6/5): Clean, but warm/humid - Great location, clean, good yoghurt for breakfast. Good towels and bedding. Weak air conditioning. Some people left room doors open to try to get a breeze, but there wasn't much of a breeze. Hot and humid in the room. The shower had weak water pressure, better than a dribble but much less than normal. The toilet took a long time to fill its tank after a flush, so you need to space out use. If one person goes and then another right after, it won't flush. Rooms aren't well isolated from noise from stairs and other rooms. Carpeting might help or noise remediation (insulation for floors and walls).

Nancy (9/5): it was a beautiful respite and the bed was like sleeping in a white cloud - historic and the bedroom was spacious with a beautiful white bed and armoire, all white sheets and large white tile bathroom. it was light and airy. it was also by the water. no complaints. because of Covid the communal areas and breakfast and bar were not open.
