CHECK-IN · Check-in during Low Season (April 1st till June 14th and August 16th till October 31st) : o between 15.00–20.00 o Late arrival only possible after notifying reception in writing or by phone call latest the day of arrival before 20.00. Even if the hotel has been notified, the guest will be charged 200 nok per started hour after 20.00. · Check-in for FIT’s during High Season (June 15th till August 15th): o between 15.00–24.00 o After 24.00 the booking will be considered canceled and will be charged as no-show if the hotel has not been notified. Contact the property to arrange check-in and for further details.
House Rules:
1. We are an non-smoking hotel which means it is not allowed to smoke in and around the hotel except in the designated smoking area's.
2. If staff has established that guests have been smoking during the stay or after the guest checked out, a fee of 500 nok will be charged for cleaning costs. The guest hereby acknowledges that his card can be charged for this purpose. In case this occurs and the hotel possesses of an email address, the guest will be informed.
3. If due to smoking or other reasons caused by the guest, the alarm system is activated, a fee of 3,000 nok will be charged.
4. In case of lost or not returned room key, the guest will be charged 500 nok.
5. Children are at all time to be accompanied by the parents or guardians and are not allowed to stroll, run in the hotel or disturb the peace and quiet.
6. Pets are not allowed in the Hotel. We offer no services related to animals.

Savnet fersk frukt til frokost, mener det var det tidligere! TV på rommet hadde gjort at bedømningen var blitt høyere. Ikke mange hoteller i dag som ikke har dette tilbudet. TV-stue er greit men fant ingen fjernkontroll og det var ingen å spørre. Bedre å øke prisen litt og ha TV på hvert rom.

- Karl (5/5): Staff was friendly, view was spectacular however the hotel is substantially dated & needs upgrade - Disappointed in the fact that the location that we were in had multiple fresh fruit stands, and the fruit that was offered was canned fruit cocktail, which for the price that was paid was completely unacceptable. For the price we paid for the room substantially exceeded the quality of the room itself. The bathroom had only 1 towel and there were two of us. The shower had no shelving for soap, or any personal items. Hotel needs updating.

Versuch zu renovieren ist unserer Meinung nach missglückt. Ausnahme Terrasse und Sauna. Nichts passt zusammen. Abendessen war ebenfalls mittelmäßig. Essen war kalt und nicht professionell.

- Victoria (8/5): - This was a great location with friendly staff and amenities. Breakfast was simple but good. We were able to rent kayaks. Would definitely stay here again. However, there is another much nicer hotel located closer to the heart of town that has a much more affordable sauna (about $10 USD vs $40 USD per person) that has a better view and restaurant. Pricing between the two is comparable, so if the other location has availability it is a better option than this location.

De activiteiten werden niet aangeboden of waren niet gratis zoals op booking.com staat.

Die WC Spülung war defekt und es dauerte ewig, bis man sie soweit hatte, dass es aufhörte. Das duschwasser schwankte permanent zwischen warm und kalt, das erste warme Wasser kam erst nach mehreren Minuten.es waren aber schon die beiden Busse abgereist, konnte also nicht an zuvielen Menschen liegen. Ich nehme an es liegt an einer schlecht eingestellten Anlage. Das Frühstück war sehr sparsam.....im Urlaub erhoffe ich mir einfach etwas netteres als Dosenobst/Dosenobstsalat. Brötchen gab es gar nicht nur sehr weiches Brot. Meine Frage nach einem Toaster: der wäre defekt. Ab 8.00 Uhr sollte es das 'grosse ' Frühstück sein. Wir waren 8.30 da. Ich mag mir nicht ausmalen, wie denn das Kleine war. Es gab ein kleines Stückchen Lachs in acht Pralinengrosse Stücke geschnitten für alle restlichen Frühstücksgäste...... Einen kleinen keks/ kleine Kuchen wie in norwegischen Hotels inzwischen Standard suchte man vergeblich. Einfachste Wurst und Käse. Das bisher schlechteste Preis/Leistungsverhältnis auf unserer Reise. Ich habe den Rezeptzionisten auf meine Beschwerden angesprochen, sein Kommentar: er wäre nicht der Besitzer, dann könnte ich das ja auf Booking.com bewerten. Was ich hiermit tue.

Hotel is verouderd en toe aan een opknapbeurt. De deluxe kamer die wij geboekt hadden was alleen goed qua uitzicht en afmeting. Had niets van luxe: ouderwetse inrichting, simpele badkamer met douchegordijn. De prijs die wij betaalden voor één nacht, 222, is absurd hoog voor hetgeen je krijgt.

I booked a superior room & it was large with a huge balcony & comfy wicker chairs. The room was clean & basically furnished but oh so dated. With a bathroom upgrade, change of carpet/curtains and some modern furniture it would be in a different league. Breakfast buffet was adequate for a small place. Coffee could be improved. We ate dinner here on both nights (limited availability anywhere else) and it was fine. There was no choice just a starter (soup), a main & a pud. We’re not especially fussy so that was ok. Not sure how guests with allergies or special dietary requirements would fare. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Yes I might stay again but it would be good to see it refurbished.

- Laila (8/5): - Fint hotell med fin beliggenhet. Skjedde litt lite, så savnet TV på rommet. Vanskelig å få kjøpt noe å spise utenom frokost og middagstid, siden det var helligdager. Ikke lett å forstå alt siden betjeningen bare snakket engelsk. Fine rom, rent og pent.

- Bill (8/5): - Really nice location in a small town. It is over priced for the accommodations, however i do not know prices for other places to compare. The view is definitely what you are paying for. The rooms are very simple and pretty dated.

- goyvaerts (8/5): een prachtige ligging in een zeer mooie en rustige omgeving... waard om enkele dagen te blijven - Grote kamer ,uitzicht op de fjord en rust ; Je komt hier heerlijk tot rust omdat alle kamers een terras met zicht op de fjord hebben .De jonge ploeg medewerkers is bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam.De Bar heeft een mooie selectie Belgische bieren, uitzonderlijk . zeeer luidruchtig toilet (vermaler) op de kamer. Door hun businessmodel is het avond restaurant enkel afgestemd op groepen ... (met slechts optie tussen "varken of kip" ) maar er is een leuk goed adres in de buurt als alternatief , dus geen probleem. Het hotel wordt langzaam opgewaardeerd , maar er is nog wel wat werk aan de winkel , de omgeving/ligging maakt echter alles goed. Toen ik boekte was enkel de duurste kamertype nog beschikbaar hoewel tijdens ons verblijf, maar voor die prijs krijg je wel veel ruimte.Geen tv op de kamer (wat mij niet stoorde ). De zeer sterke (luid verkondigde )opinie van de eigenaar over "levensstijl" moet je er wel bij nemen .

- Svein Egil (8/5): Topp beliggenhet, fint personale og bra rom, men skuffende mat. - Beliggenheten var strålende. Rommet helt bra. Personalet var helt topp Maten var ikke bra. Vi spiste to middager som var lite velsmakende og virket uinspirert tilslaget. Flau suppe. Frokosten var skuffende med tørrt, kjedelig brød, dårlig appelsinsaft, kalde hardkokte egg, ikke geitost, ingen tomater, flaut syltetøy. Hotellet satser tydeligvis ikke på å levere god matopplevelse.

- jorunn (4/5): Flott rom, dårlig frokost og uprofesjonell resepsjon - Flott rom med nydelig utsikt og gode senger. Stort rom med kjøleskap og vannkoker! Rent og fint Frokosten. Svært enkel- et slags brød som ikke var helt ferskt. Bare margarin- ikke smør. Ingen grønnsaker. Varmbuffeten besto av tomatbønner og hardkokte egg. De var nokså grønne kl 09. Det lå en lapp ved eggene om at det var Max 1 egg pr person. Tekst også på kinesisk!! Vi prøvde å nå hotellet per telefon flere ganger før vi kom uten å lykkes. Bare engelsktalende personer i resepsjonen. Noen timer etter innsjekk fikk jeg en telefon fra hotellet og bedt om å sjekke inn(!). Det hadde jeg gjort en del timer før. Og SÅ spør vedkommende om jeg kjenner NN ( navnet til en annen gjest(!)) og sier at hun må komme å sjekke inn. Klokken var da ca 21. Tilfeldigvis kjente jeg vedkommende og kunne formidle. Det viser seg at vi skulle i samme selskap neste dag og verten hadde vært innom hotellet og spurt om hvem av gjestene som skulle bo på Strand Fjordhotell. Og han hadde da blitt vist gjestelisten for aktuell dato. Dette er helt uakseptabelt med tanke på taushetsplikt. Svært uprofesjonelt
- francois (8/5): Superbe vue - L hôtel mérite une sérieuse rénovation mais les chambres sont très correctes avec une vue exceptionnelle. Belle terrasse dont nous n avons hélas pas pu profiter pour notre petit déjeuner vu la pluie. Petit déjeuner correct sans plus. Bon accueil

- Ann Kristin (3/5): - Kjipe fasiliteter. Slitt og med billige og upersonlige møbler og løsninger. Bærer preg av å kun tjene penger på turister som kun kommer en gang. Skikkelig kjip frokost. Personale måtte ringes etter når vi skulle sjekke inn. Vi så ikke spor av personale under frokosten. Selv om beliggenheten er bra, veide det definitivt ikke opp for oss på noen som helst måte.
