- Carolyn (1/5): I would never stay here . They will steal your property, - Nothing. I paid for 8 nights and was explicit about the day I was to leave. The staff locked me out and I had to repay even though I had already paid. I left my Apple ear pods and I used the find my App
They refused to give me back my ear pods even though I saw his little daughter or granddaughter with them in her ear. I filed a police report.

- Stanley (8/5): Okay stay - Room was hot. It would be nice if AC was on. No coffee in room
- Sony (6/5): - The hotel is situated a little away from hotels and restaurants nearby. No coffee maker in the room. No breakfast. In general.roommwas clean. Ok. You get waht you pay for.
- Isabel (8/5): Very good - Clean and nice
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disabled we have a problem? - I'm disable. When I got there, they already booked me a room upstairs.Without asking did I need to be accommodated. For a little more money, they put me downstairs. Parking was nowhere near close to my room and it was pouring down rain.. At first I was.
Impressed by the size of the room and how it looked until I got bit up by bugs. I requested more blankets and was asked to come pick them up at the office.Until I reminded the lady i'm disabled. I was given a room on the other side of the building where there was no Handicap. parking accessible to my room. Which means I have to walk for a bit In the rain before. I could access my room . I was informed it was the only room they had left.. The parking lot had a grand total of maybe seven cars.. It was quiet.there. The
Ice machine was out of order. Pictures are in Google review.
Go there and look.

- Chandru (8/5): - Property and Room was very clean except brown water came in bathroom faucet for few minutes. Otherwise it’s very quiet and good stay.
- Desiree (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (3/5): Won’t stay there again - Old furniture the toilet were not properly cleaned Dirty
- Lee (1/5): Bad - Nothing Bugs in the room
- Michael (2/5): Almost did not stay as no one was at front desk for 25 minutes when I arrived. Hotel common area not air conditioned, ro - Location No one at front desk past 12am.
- Ralonda (1/5): Bug infested - Nothing Immediately after checking in we noticed that this place had an infestation of bugs. Bugs were all over the ceiling, although I was unable to capture them all. I have pictures and videos and management is still in denial. I was refused a refund. I called back regarding the matter today. Someone hung up in my face and refused to answer after I called back. I have filed a complaint with the Department of Health. This is unacceptable.
- Ricky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Armando (1/5): Bad -

- Ramos (1/5): Bad - We got there at 1230am amd it was closed. We rang the doorbell. The manager finally woke up and came to the door in his boxers and told me he was closed. I told him I had reservations amd he told me it was closed amd to cancel.. at 1230 in the morning driving 7 hours and had to find other accommodations.. the manager was very rude.
- judi (4/5): - The staff was fairly rude. Not enough towels
- Jose (8/5): - Got charged extra for a down stair room which was on other side without no parking or ice machine.
- Cory (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (5/5): Passable - The bed The service
- V. (5/5): Passable -
- Juanita (6/5): - Upon arrival, the attendance was not very friendly. She was nicer in the morning. Perhaps she was tired.
- Jane (4/5): - The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile! Hairs in the bath tub. Grossness around the toilet (use your imagination) stains and splatters of God knows what everywhere. Mattresses in poor shape. Not worth the cheaper price if you like cleanliness..
- Joanna (7/5): Good -
- Lionel (8/5): Good for an overnight stay. - Served the purpose for a one night stay. Very clean room. Reasonable. Good if you need to stop and rest while travelling. Nearest restaurant is a few minutes away. It was quiet. HVAC worked well.
- Judy (8/5): - Unable to park by room.
- James (7/5): Good -
- Felix (8/5): - Good
- Gregory (10/5): - We were a little suspicious of cleanliness, but after inspection it was clean. Not that someone who is picky could find something. It was clean and that is the main thing. It appears they are recovering from pervious damage. As there is some unfinished construction. So over all it was pleasent and would stay there again.
- Mohamed (3/5): Poor -
- Damonique (10/5): Exceptional -
- Castruita (10/5): Exceptional - The size of the accommodations and the amenities inside. Family owned and run without additional staff, so they are short handed sometimes.
- Jane (6/5): - No coffee maker , phone or hair dryer in room. Room was dirty with finger prints everywhere, ring around the tub, dirty windows and it smelled bad in the lobby. Bed had a huge dip in the middle so I ended up with a sore back. It was very hot in the hotel, thank goodness for the air conditioning in the room! It was like walking into an oven in my room! First and last stay for me!
- Patricia (8/5): - The beds were comfortable. No USB plugs. Housekeeping services good. Room cleaned daily and fresh towels daily.
- Tanada (8/5): Excellent stay - Great value, great stay. Huge room, 2 bathrooms, excellent for the money. There was a very bad smell in one bathroom. We just shut the door and used the other.
- Bryan (10/5): Our stay was relaxing! - The view of the ocean was fantastic! The staff were all very customer oriented.
- David (2/5): Nobody home - There was an “open” sign, but the lobby doors were locked and no one was there. A sign said to ring a bell. Did that several times. Contacted Hotels.com and the representative contacted the hotel. They said they’d come open the door. They did not. I was then informed it was no refund.
- Mary (7/5): Good -
- Caroline (10/5): - The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was kind and attentive. There is not much in the nearby area in the way of food or entertainment. But overall a lovely place to stay for the night.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Excellent and clean property
- Van (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (8/5): I would stay again. - Quiet area, nice staff, clean room, comfortable. Its a good place to stay especially if you're on a budget.
- William (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff
- Linda (8/5): Simple stay - The room was made fresh everyday. No frills room but had microwave and fridge.
- Carolyn (10/5): it was great for what I needed - location everything was good
- JOEL (2/5): - Will never go back. Not worth the. Monie. Management was rude and judgmenteal. . Room was not clean dead bugs all over enterway floor walls covered in I am hoping coffee and sheets stained.
- scott (2/5): - Room was 90 degrees when I walked into it. Didn’t seem like anyone had been in that room for days at least. AC was blowing cold but took 2hrs to cool the room to below 70 degrees so I could sleep comfortably. Needed to sleep immediately I was only in the room for 6hrs to sleep and shower.
- Jose (8/5): - Very clean and spacious. Had a good night’s sleep and quiet.
- pastor (8/5): - It's neat but the noise of the vehicles would not let me sleep
- Sigfredo (10/5): - No tiene restaurant desayunador y alberca area para socializar
- Angela (10/5): - It was very comfortable and not very expensive.
- Thomas (10/5): - Herbert and his wife were very pleasant. Herbert came to the rescue. My wife who has nerve damage in back plus drop feet slipped and couldn't get up, since she can't get any lift using her feet it was like lifting dead weight. I went outside and quickly found Herbert. Herbert helped me get her up on the bed. His attitude and patience was beyond the limits. He was so concerned and and asked how she was at check out. A truly humble and compassionate man. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. I will go back to stay. Thanks again Herbert.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was fine.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was ok for the price, but the room was the tiniest room I’ve ever been in. The room was hot even with the ac on.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok room, but could use some work. - Rooms are a bit dated. Our by-pass for the tub was stuck so couldn't use the tub, only shower. The a/c wasn't that great but did catch up and cool the room eventually. But the room was spacious and bed comfortable. Biggest problem was my internet was coming and going, so had to go someplace else to work. We pulled the glad air fresh from the plug when we got in (was a bit overwhelming). For the price the room was fine though.
- Bruce (8/5): Good value - A little dated but was clean and fairly comfortable. Didn’t bring the wife, so I was roughing it. I don’t think she would have enjoyed staying there. For me it was fine.
- Aaron (8/5): Clean comfortable rooms for a great price. - Not a lot of frills, but its a great room for the price. comfortable beds with a refrigerator and microwave.
The rooms are good size, especially if you're staying a few days.
- Ken (10/5): - Very good experience. Staff very pleasant.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay here for one night, slept good. The room was okay. But I think we paid a little to much, because it’s sad you have to pay extra for a smoking room. The only bad thing is you can hear others in the next rooms.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - very clean. nice people. not the greatest location but acceptable.
- Michael (10/5): - My price changed by + 10 dollars. Room was nice but air didn't work very well.
- James (2/5): - The room was very outdated the smell wasn’t up to standards and the overall appearance isn’t what the pictures displayed
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The parking was not good. Had to walk around back area to get to room. Room looked clean but I really would have liked coffee in my room. The bathroom was small but clean. If you want just a place to go to bed, this is it. Owners were extremely nice. Did offer me a cup of coffee as I was checking out.
- Joe (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable room. Staff friendly and gave excellent information.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - not a thing. horrible service the room was not clean and on top of that we found bed bugs

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet, secure and gated. Rooms were clean and stacked with all your needs. Front desk personnel was nice and polite. Would stay again and would recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was clean and quiet. A good deal for the price. Not great on amenities. There was no hair dryer or coffee maker which is usually standard in most hotels. There was a fridge and small microwave. There was an odd smell when you entered the room. Kind of like a mixture of moth balls and air freshener. The hotel served our purpose of a place to sleep and clean up. We did not spend much time there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was quick and friendly in receiving me even though it was one am
- Daniel (8/5): Hidden jewel of Manvel - BYOC
Yep,bring your own coffee.
The place is great, friendly staff, clean property and very clean rooms. The one I was in was a bit small for a 4 night stay.
The amenities are scant however, they offer no morning coffee and do not have coffee makers in the room or irons although if needed I'm sure the front desk will provide
I'd stay again for sure it was an enjoyable stay even if undercaffeinated
- frances (4/5): Old, run down, not a nice place to stay - This is an older hotel. The typical, standard amenities are not there. No phone in the room, no hair dryer, terrible thin, worn out towels. The primary guests seem to be "residents ". Would NOT recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was very clean....I would stay here again. Very quiet! Only thing was power outlets in bathroom didn’t work but like I said would def stay again!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I always stay here when in town. The managers remember me, hug me hello, make sure i am comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable room, at a very affordable price.
- Julie (10/5): Very pleasant place - Very nice
- Javier (10/5): - I liked the good rate and friendly staff. I would have liked an extra blanket besides the comforter but I sept fine
- John (8/5): - Definitely had a couple of misgivings when I first pulled up to the property in the dark - it is in a fairly lonely location between Manvel and Alvin. And looked a little bit dated from outside. Check in was great, and the room was large and definitely clean. I stayed 4 nights and was impressed at the quality of the house keeping and cleanliness. This is not the fanciest hotel, but definitely good quality and value for the budget traveler.
- Ronald (10/5): - Even though this was an older property, the new owner(s) have done a good job at some renovation and upgrades. Also, even though older, this Motel was also very clean and neat. My wife and I liked the "country" environment as there are still some tall trees, bush, etc. surrounding part of it & being located on an old Farm To Market Road (i.e., Texas Hwy 6). The refrigerator, microwave, TV, plumbing, all worked very well. Even though we didn't use them, there are several barrel pits available for Bar-B-Qing, with picnic benches an overheads to have outdoor picnics, parties, etc. I told my wife that want to stay here again one day to utilize the BBQ pits and the picnic area, she agrees!
- Wanda (10/5): - Staff very friendly & helpful. Yes I will consider staying here again for my next visit.
- Kathleen (6/5): Lacking - Quite & cozy.
$198 for 2 nights, no pool, no breakfast, no coffee.
We will not be staying again.
- Sheri (10/5): - Good stay
- Juan (10/5): Nice! - Nice big rooms
- Cary (10/5): - Always a quiet and comfortable place to stay. Would recommend this place if ever in the area.
- Mary (8/5): Clean & Great value 40 minutes from the seawall - The owners are great and run a very clean and comfortable Motel not too far from the beach. The bed was very comfortable and the room incredibly clean. Small fridge and microwave in room but no coffee pot. Room was upstairs inside but no elevator.
- Caryn (10/5): Great as always! - We’ve stayed here multiple times now in the last few months. Great as always! Large rooms.
- Elaine (2/5): Horrible stsy - Price gouging people. Unfriendly and spoke no english
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a good place to sleep during my daughters tournament and fit the budget.
- Luis (10/5): Excellent - Beautiful staff
- Matthias (10/5): Very peaceful stay w/ no complaints. - Was very quiet and peaceful even though I am pretty sure the were totaly booked. Do plan on staying there each time I visit Manvel, Tx
- John (8/5): Nice motel - Great
- Crystal (8/5): Manvel - I would stay here again, quiet, good accommodation
- Caryn (10/5): Great little place - Nice place, little difficult to find due to waze being off, but not a huge issue. I would take Country off my name since not on sign. Only down side was no secondary lock on room and no phone in room. Loved that mattress was wrapped as I check every place I stay for bed bugs and am shocked that more places don’t put protective covers on their beds. Will stay again if in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect for what we needed while showing @ HLSR for spring break
- John (8/5): - We were there for 2 nights. Great place and friendly atmosphere. It was a little different from what we were accustomed to as they did not have elevators (we had to take the stairs w/luggage) nor did they have bell carts (the owner offered and did assist with our luggage). This is probably standard for an Inn. Due to the Rodeo and other activities in the area everything was booked. But other than that we enjoyed our stay there.
