The hosts are most gracious. The room was beautiful. Extremely large with a dressing area, balcony with a gorgeous view, jacuzzi bath tub and shower. Breakfast was plentiful and beautifully presented.

What made the place so special is the wonderful & warm hospitality of hosts Rob & Karen, they made us feel so welcome the moment we arrived. The Kiwi Suite (that we booked) was perfect in every way, fully equipped with all the necc amenities and had amazing views of Lake Taupo. Very quiet and super comfy beds. Breakfast simply yummy & prepared to perfection by Karen. A wonderful home that has so much character to it because of the exquisite collection of artwork & artifacts accumulated by Rob over the years. A must stay for anyone looking for THE perfect place. that I did not have the time to stay longer

Breakfast is wonderful and Karen will insure you are pleased with everything served . Rob is helpful with area info and a few nights he drive us in to town for dinner . We would definitely stay at this charming lodge again - treat yourself if you are in lake Taupo Nothing

The complimentary bottle of wine and snacks/chocolates is a nice touch. Room was a bit chilly, took a while to warm it up, just because the Tui suite is quite large. It's line of sight from the door to the kitchen, if you wanted a sleep in, it can be difficult from the kitchen noise. I'd love to go back though!

- James (10/5): Phenomenal stay in Acacia Bay - A luxurious stay in a picturesque location with sweeping views over Lake Taupo. From complimentary chocolate on the pillow (and the choice of a feather, lavender or cotton fill pillow), to the expansive room and spa bath, everything exceeded our expectations. The room and house were immaculately clean. Every amenity was catered for including complimentary wine, water, a range of hot beverages, and toiletries including disposable bathroom sandals. The hosts - Rob and Karen - were unobtrusive yet friendly and made the Bed and Breakfast experience really unique and special. I felt as though I was a welcome guest in their space and home. Finally - the breakfast itself was amazing! The stay was perfect, I cannot think of improvements.

- Alison (10/5): Luxurious stay with stunning lake views - Gorgeous bed and breakfast stay high up, overlooking the lake with stunning views from the Kiwi Suite. Friendly and relaxing spot with every need thought of and the most amazing huge breakfast. There were little additions like chocolates around the room and there's a snooker table and honesty bar in the lodge to use. Loved every minute.

- Marie (5/5): The venue was pretty and comfortable but the food let it down. - breakfast let this place down, it was huge and had variety but was almost cold - nothing was piping hot rendering it tasteless - it had obviously been cooked much earlier- the mushrooms - I’m sure they were out of a tin were congealing on the plate. A breakfast you could order when you came down then served piping hot
- Rob (10/5): it was absolutely perfect in every way. Rob and Karen were wonderful hosts. - The property was exquisite in every way. The driveway to the reception and lodge is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The attention to detail with the stunning antique furniture and beautiful artwork. The enormous room with wonderful views of the lake and beautifully appointed furniture was breathtaking. There was nothing we didn’t like about the property

The suite we stayed in was spacious and comfortable - comfy bed, fabulous spa bath and balcony with great position to watch the sunrise and sunset. nothing. everything was excellent
