Deborah (10/5): Perfect for a quick stop over - Everything was wonderful. Being so close to the highway there is light and noise pollution so brung ear plugs and eye mask for a good night skeep. Nothing. The only thing I would mention is if you are a larger person you may find the space between the sink and toilet a little tight to squeeze through.

Awesome staff and very clean and tidy with everything - Large room with a very comfortable bed and everything we needed for our small stay with our Staffy. No pool. It’s been replaced by a BBQ and a really nice sheltered outdoor dining area which was inviting.

Erica (9/5): Great stay, will recommend - The room was excellent for4 people. The room was scrupulously serviced every day. The bathroom was excellent. The available services(microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, clothes rack) were great. The aircon worked great Towels did not need to be replaced every day, re-using would be fine. Cleaning staff walked in on my daughter on the toilet in the morning, even though she sang out hello when she heard the door open! Shes not sure if they knocked before coming in.

Bring an eye mask though. - Easy access Very bright fluro lights directly outside the rooms (even blockout curtains don’t stop significant light bleed when they are so bright right outside the windows)… would be really helpful if they can be turned off after say 10pm? The kids asked “why was it daytime outside” when we put them to bed after 9pm… otherwise a good eye mask necessary.

Shane (7/5): Ballina respite - Great location, friendly staff and clean facilities. Great spot for a two night stay. The air con and fan were both loud when in use, and the fan was not sufficient when turned down. With bright external lights you couldn't simply open the blinds to get fresh air.

Liked the magic renovation of the dogbox motel rooms, given in which you couldn't swing a cat. Size of room. Given last room at end of Motel, streetsweeper both sides early hours, seemingly lots of happy friend 'campers'.
Therese (3/5): The room was comfortable, but the smell was hard to ignore. - There was a bad smell in the room. I asked for another room and the man said they all smelt the same, but if I wanted to pay extra, I could have a family room. I stayed in the room and bought a scented candle and found some gardenias. That helped.
