- Charlie (7/5): - Great location, staff were helpful Slightly old building so felt a bit rough around the edges. Bed sheets could be replaced with newer ones next time.
- Rosemary (7/5): - The view from our room. The bed was comfortable. No bedside reading lamps.

海が見えて最高でした。フロントの男性は日本語を少し話せるので町のことを尋ねて 街歩きを楽しみました。 1階フロント周りは照明が暗い、

- Jean (10/5): Spacious, comfortable and clean - The room was large clean and comfortable. I found the separate dressing table area convenient for dealing with my contact lenses. There is a microwave in reception which I used.
The hotel is located close to the station, the cruise terminal and the ferry port.
There are many other attractions a short bus or taxi ride away.
Everybody I spoke to was pleasant and helpful.
I was very happy with this hotel.

- Kimberly (8/5): - Very central and easy to find because of all the bright colours on the building. It was clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful! It was very high tech for us 😂 The futon beds were not as comfortable as the previous place we stayed in. We are used to sleeping with very little light in our bedrooms and in this bedroom the ceiling was lit overnight and the orange light from the remote room controls was very bright for the entire night

- Dream_Live_Travel (8/5): It a great place to stay. - The Staff is very accommodating and well verse in tourist spot, especially a staff member, "jonas" from front desk i think.. Gave some good places to visit for the holiday.. Would stay in here again. 5/5
- Panda055 (6/5): A quaint hotel - This hotel is a 'Love Hotel' but is not as obvious as the one stayed in the previous night.
Reasonably clean and modern but just a basic hotel. There is free wifi.
One advantage is the location near a modern coffee shop where you can buy good snacks and coffee. A couple of convenience stores are nearby.
- ronaldpta1968 (10/5): Excellent service, polite, warm hearted staff. - Great experience from room service, front desk, security, housekeeping, restaurant.
Special thanks to Jarlene M. and Glen de G. for keeping my 19M room spotless,
they've done a great job.
I'll book this hotel again in a heartbeat. Keep it up guys, the success of your hotel is its people and serive.
Thanks again.
- 1wkyongae (6/5): Well, - Unless you speak Korean it could be tasking checking in or out. The room looks nice, although a heavier blanket would be nice. Largest bathroom I have ever seen for a room with two queen beds. Not really recommend for a family with all the tea houses near by. If you like to eat Korean food lots of places near by. American, nope.
- GeoffreyB610 (8/5): Recommended in guide books and so it should be. - I went to the F1 because it gets a good write up in Lonely Planet and I didn't feel like walking round looking for better. Booking in was very smooth and the the room was well prepared. Inside the large room there was a good range of equipment including a fridge, PC, kettle and more. The room was serviced everyday, made very clean and fresh drinks put in the fridge. Air-con definitely worked a very cool place to come back to.
The staff were helpful with the added bonus of an English speaker, who got my phone to work!
The only reason I not giving a five star rating is because it doesn't serve breakfast and although I know that's common in Korea not to I also know what I want for five stars.
Eating nearby is excellent with seafood places on the water front it's worth missing breakfast for!
- 85elainel (4/5): my work stay with f1 - WiFi is weak on all the floors. The only WiFi coverage u can get is reception floor . Everytime back to my room we can't send/receive whatsapp message even the signal shows is connected . So we went down to reception floor , we can received whatsapp message immediately .
lightings are poor .
- KateARobertson (4/5): Trust me, you can do better! - I have NO idea how this has become the top rated hotel in Mokpo. I blame Lonely Planet! I have NEVER given a hotel a poor rating before. But hey, first time for everything.
Where to begin...
Okay - the good things. It is reasonably priced. The rooms are large. It is clean (when we walked in it was, anyway). We had free wi-fi. Annnndddd...that's about it.
The negatives:
- It's in the middle of nowhere, really. You can walk here from the train station but otherwise there's not much around in terms of dining or even getting a coffee.
- It's a 'love' hotel. Free condoms and lube included! I mean, that alone is not that bad but tbh, it's got a sleazy vibe. For example, there is a PC in the room. When we turned it on and went to the internet, the home page is an 'order a girl' website.
- You can smoke in the rooms. For a pair of non-smokers, the smell was almost unbearable - it just seeps into fabric and the mattresses. The result is we have to wear our thick coats in the room because we have to keep the windows open.
- Staff at the counter are almost no help at all. When the original guy gave us our key, he didn't even tell us where our room was. I mean, we're not idiots, we could work it out, but still, a little courtesy goes a long way. We were only given one towel between two of us, and when we went down to ask for more, they just gave us a bunch of hand towels! And we asked in Korean (which my husband speaks fairly fluently) so it wasn't a language barrier issue.
- The hot water honestly took 5 - 7 minutes to heat up, and the sink in the bathroom didn't drain - well, it did, but crazily slowly.
- The rooms aren't serviced. That's fine, I don't need the bed remade every day but still - it'd be nice if they could take the rubbish out (there's no bins on the street either we could take it to, I looked!).
- Oh, just a minor thing, there's no top sheet on the bed, and I suspect they don't change the quilt cover every time. Keeping in mind what this hotel is usually used for....that's pretty gross.
My recommendation would be to completely avoid this area of Mokpo and stay in the suburb of Hadang. Might be a bit more expensive, but you'll be glad you paid it. There, you're spoilt for choice in terms of dining and bars and it's generally just a much more pleasant area. If you're in Mokpo to get the ferry, still - stay in Hadang. There are cabs everywhere and they're super cheap, so you can get just a cab to the ferry!
I PROMISE you I am not one of those reviewers who seeks to find fault with everything, I am very easy going in terms of my expectations. However, I really felt compelled to write this one while I was still saying here as a warning to others...or at least ensure expectations are set at a reasonable level.
- RDL99 (8/5): Perfectly fine motel - I was pleasantly surprised with the motel, and with Mokpo itself. Although ultimately the ferry I was there to catch was cancelled due to the typhoon over Japan, I enjoyed the day and night I had there. One thing not to my liking was the absence of a top sheet (presumably being a love motel you are not expected to need one?). The guy at the front desk could also not have been less interested in anything really.
- lisazon (8/5): Nice, clean, close to ferry terminal - We spent two nights in this hotel, on the way to Jeju City and on the way back. The hotel is conveniently located, close to the ferry terminal. Rooms are spacious, clean and have all the amenities(did not check WiFi). They let us park our bicycles in the lobby. I also asked for an extra blanket and the front desk lady delivered it and showed us how to turn on the heat in the room.
- 105margith (6/5): Practical stopover - Half way between train station and ferry terminal with shops and restaurants in walking distance it serves as a good base station if you need to leave Mokpo in the early morning. Walking distance from the train station, easy to find as it is a 10 stories building, painted black and colorfully illuminated at night. Clean rooms but nothing special which would make it memorable.
- S345URjohnh (10/5): Excellent value - very big room - F1 proved to be a real value for money stay. Although slightly off the main streets, it was near the main station (Mokpo Koch) and served with plentiful taxis, all but one of which knew where it was. As previous revue mentioned access to station and buses to Bus station was Good. Room was extremely good sized with 2 double beds, 2 2seater settees and coffee table, 2(!) full gaming computers provided with Internet and free WiFi for the Ipad. The hotel is presumably one of those known as Love hotels, - but not sleazy at all. Corner room gave view of the fishing harbour and across city. Cheerful front desk, a little English. . Highly recommended, and excellent value.
- VivianneT (6/5): Near train station & Fish market - This hotel is the tallest building around the area. At night, there is nice lights decoration outside the building making it easy to recognize. The room is basic and clean. We slept in a traiditonal ondol room which is interesting. We cannot find wifi in room, but there is a computer, though we never use it.
The hotel is of walkig distance to the train station, and the shopping area " streets of light". Also, it is close to the ferry pier (from Jeju) and also lots of fish market around it. There are many dried seafood store around the area that the hotel is situate.
However, if you ar looking for the "new down town" of Mokpo, would suggest you choose the accommodation near the intercity bus station. There are more new and nice coffee shops and a very nice walking path by the sea.Though, getting taxifrom the "new down town" area of Mokpo to tis hotel is not very expensiv.
