- Arianieyantie (8/5): Untuk percutian singkat memang selesa. Bilik bersih dan luas. - Lokasi dekat padang kota, 1st avenue mall dan tempat makanan lain. Bilik besar, bersih dan selesa. Pekerja mesra dan ramah. 1. Kene naik tangga sampai tingkat 3 utk bilik family room. Yang bawa luggage besar, orang tua dan kanak2 agak menyusahkan. 2. Dalam bilik tak ada peti sejuk, kettle atau free air mineral. Tapi disediakan water dispenser di tingkat 2, macam susah sgt nak dapatkan air minuman 😅

- Kai Leung (2/5): - Complaint against the Hotel which collected extra charges of twenty Malaysian ringgit (RM20.00). Such charges should have been collected by Expedia when I booked the hotel room. Complaint against Expedia which does not follow up my complaint even after I have sent the scan copy of receipt of those extra charges via email. Of course, the receipt was obtained only after the severe disputes with Hotel. The Hotel is unreasonable.

The staff are friendly The room has lot of bright window (double queen room). Good utilities (iron, coway, hot shower, towel, etc) The bed are comfortable. The room could be a little bit brighter the opening for the toilet drained? it is quite big..

- Jairaj (2/5): Hectic going out and need to climb the staircase is nightmare - Bathroom was ok. Noisy as Pdg Kota nearby with concerts and till 2am. Stairway very narrow and dangerous for above 50. Could cause instant joint pain. TV was working but channels are none except radio online.most plugs are working but save box isn't. As above
- Low (5/5): It's a budget hotel, don't expect much - Room was not soundproof, avoid if you're light sleeper. Dust on the floor could never ever be clean totally, do bring your indoor slipper.

- Nurul (8/5): All was good. Value for price. - Walking distance to Penang 3D art museum, little india & padang kota. Downstairs got merlin nasi kandar. So many chinese restaurant nearby. It is and old hotel but room was clean. Aircond & tv functioning well. Room was big. Receptionist ok, not talking too much. Requested extra towel for my kids. Bathroom smelly but acceptable. Finish your business then close the toilet door closely. Ants appear when you eat in the room. Few mosquito appear at night but still acceptable. Bring spray together if you want to stay here.

- Yew (1/5): Terrible place to stay. - Nothing There were mosquitoes and when I asked the staff for mosquito spray, they said they ran out. When I woke up in the morning, I realised the bed sheet was stained with blood.

- Karen (5/5): Not bad, but not great either. - The location was excellent for my needs. The room was not too tiny, it has a private bathroom and air conditioning works well. Some staff members spoke good English and were friendly. Some staff members barely spoke English and couldn't really understand me. There were small details that could have made a difference such as an appropriate amount of toilet paper available in the room, a bath mat as the bathroom gets all very wet and going in and out of it makes the room wet as well, and there was an annoying amount of mosquitoes in the room (every day and night) - i did ask for some bug spray but the staff couldn't understand or be bothered to help. The display lights from outdoor also were just by the widow (in room 105) and I sure that disturbs the guests more than it helps the facade.

- Leonard (6/5): Pleasant - Wifi was locked a good thing. Did not work 85% of the time. They changed a network but did not inform me. It worked fro maybe an hour. The entry is difficult to find. Stairs are steep and irregular both tread and rise. I find this is normal buildings of this age in the area.

- Salleh (1/5): Very BAD HOTEL and STAFF - I want my refund because i didn't stay at Merlin Hotel due my room got a lot of problem such as door key, no hot water, television not functioning. I ask hotel to fix it at 4 pm during my check in but their didn't fix it untill i come back from my dinner at 10.00 pm. I already paid RM301.00 for 3 night stay and when the problem occur, i request them to pay me back. But their refused to do that. So, i will make complaint to Ministry Of Tourism and Malaysian Hotel regarding this matter. I want my money back in full amount because i did not stay at this hotel from 24th to 27th April 2023 Bad Hotel and staff didn't comunicate in good english because their are foreigner....

When I checked into the room there no towel no floor mat there's no shower cap no rubbish plastic in the Dustin.. we asked for it then only thing they gv all the items that we needed...Not clean at all..very dirty.. The room door was so hard to open.. first when I look at the pic for booking the room very nice in the pic.. but when I checked into the room ohhh damn no comment.. hard to open the door and then the room was not clean..the bathroom no words to say... Shower water very slow..they don't hv shower cap..the towel they provide in the second day was so dirty... I will never ever book this hotel again... not worth for money... not worth...

Toilet cover, hot water kettle with stain marks. Towels with stain marks and they got the balls to warn that customers will be charged if we stain the towels. Ni wifi password given. No lift so walk up. Parking advertised as available but NONE. They don't have their own parking.

- Azuan (6/5): Located at the very strategic and good place. You can just walk to reach the Nasi Kandar spot. - The Location is really strategic. just a walking distance to Padang kota, food Court, Nasi Kandar and so on. Just need to understand on how the public transport schedule and it really works. The Hotel is quite old. It has an old smell. But they staff keep it tidy. complete with basic hotel necessity.
- Safurah (4/5): Disappointing - None Location is not a family/elderly/pregnant lady family spot. You have to climb at least a storey to check-in. No fridge, I've requested if i could get cutlery since I've tapao my dinner through grab service. But I was told they don't have such item. very2 basic hotel. Can be a pit-stop. Not suggested for a longer stay
