Guest Reviews
- Yuko (7/5): Out of service for breakfast. - Quiet. No group. There are convenience stores ,cozy cafes and
Local cafe around the hotel. WiFi and power supply were incomplete.
- Konstantinos1992 (9/5): Good stay - Spacious room, comfortable bed and great location. It is a very good value for money option and the staff were very friendly The pool was not looking very clean, the WiFi signal could be better, I had to work a few days from my room and I had a few problems. I also had a small issue with hot water which was annoying
- MOHIT (5/5): It was good - Ambience and overall property Maintenance
- George Bonaventure Chor Chee (7/5): -
- amanda (10/5): A gem of a hotel in Siem Reap - A gem of a hotel, clean, safe and great location. Cant fault the staff, especially the young man on reception. Nothing
- Tino (9/5): -
- Raffaella (8/5): - La stanza molto bella e pulita, posizione centrale comodissima.
Piękny pokój, byłyśmy praktycznie same w hotelu. Czysto, jest woda butelkowana. -
- Gary (8/5): Really awesome staff and the grounds are really pretty! - The grounds were really pretty! The room was massive, huge bathtub, honestly bigger unit than my apartment at home. The staff was so kind and friendly. Any concern I reported to them was handled in 2 seconds or less. They always smiled and made sure I had what I needed. I cannot compliment them enough. So to be fair, I did not bring up a bunch of stuff to the staff, because I’m just not that type of person, but the owner/manager needs to do a walk through and clean up some of the details. There’s just a bunch of minor stuff that is somewhat damaged, like the casing around the door handle, the couch cushions have seen better days, the shower curtain was a bit too small, and just other details that can be cleaned up. I made sure I gave the hotel an 8/10, because I was still comfortable, and the things I did bring up they fixed right away, but the place would be a 10/10 if somewhen went through and repaired / cleaned up the details.
- Phuong (8/5): Very good -
- Clara (8/5): Very good -
- Art (8/5): Very good - Size of the room was great, as are the location and staff Hard to complain, but pool was bit small if you'd want to be properly swimming
- bailey-bush (4/5): Not 5 Star or even 4 star at a stretch! - Not 5 star, of really a hotel! It's a bunch of rooms in need of updating, in a fairly good location, and a nice pool! There is no other facilities at all, I'd say not making it a hotel as defined but again just a bunch of rooms. English speaking is tricky (not that I expect it but it's not as decribed). Basic rooms, and a nice pool in a sweet garden. The hostel i met some people at was similar at $14 a night!!
- Lisa_Torres (10/5): lovely oasis - Love this pretty hotel in a great location in Siem Reap! We are in a second floor balcony room overlooking the pool. AC is strong! Bed comfortable, plenty of room, closet with plenty of hangars and spacious and clean shower room and toilet room. Swimming pool is crystal clean and it’s a very tranquil and calm environment, highly recommended! Staff is charming and kind.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chelsbum (2/5): No hot water, no room cleaning, old bandaids and staff that cannot speak English. Don’t bother staying here. - Where do I start with this ‘hotel’… I’ll start with the little positives - the rooms are big and the air con is good - the end.
Now, to how our stay was, we booked three nights but only lasted two. There is NO hot water, after having a cold shower and telling front desk staff about the issue we were told it would be fixed the next day. The next day we were told nothing. After realizing again there was no hot water, the poor boy at the front desk who can barely speak a single word of English didn’t know what to do and we managed to communicate slightly by google translate he said the boss would sort it out the following day. The next day came, not only did our room not even get cleaned or replenished, again we had no hot water. After realizing we weren’t getting anywhere and the poor staff not being able to communicate at all we just had to check out and leave. How a hotel in Siem Reap has no hot water is beyond me.
Further to this, the couch in the room is riddled with suspicious stains and odd sized cushions to sit on if you dared to. A used bandaid remained on the floor from prior guests for the entire stay even after our room was cleaned after the first night.
The lamps don’t work, the wall sockets don’t work, things like soap weren’t replenished which makes it quite annoying when trying to clean yourself properly.
Don’t waste your money here. Stay elsewhere it’s not worth the cold showers and disgusting used bandaids left on the floor,
The large bathtub would have been impossible to fill due to the lack of water pressure from the tap. Unless you have a week up your sleeve to fill it don’t bother.
- Nicola (10/5): The kindness of the staff exceeded all my expectations. - Room space, location, staff kindness. It was a great place to stay in Siem Reap, reccomended. A bit old
- Byron (9/5): Great hidden Gem.......!!!!!! - Great location to shops, marts etc. All within a decent walking distance. Staff could not do enough for you and will organize anything you want. the largest bath I have ever seen lol. Bed was a tad firm for my liking but not uncomfortable. Floor was concrete and a little slippery at times
- Soriya (7/5): Good - Very spacious room and lovely central pool. It's quite convenient to be out and about for places to eat
- Anastasiia (10/5): I will stay here again - Big room, big swimming pool and very friendly stuff. Good location also
- JohnnieC841 (6/5): A disappointing first impression - This is a 3 star motel, ideas of a complete hotel and service should be left at the street.
We arrived at night and this rarely creates a good first impression. The reception is a hot stiflingly divide between the street and access to rooms.
At check in we were asked to choose our breakfast items and time required, exactly why wasn't immediately clear.
The rooms are enormous, with bedroom area, a lounge with sofa and a double sink bathroom with separate 2 person bath/shower. There is an in room safe and you will need the euro 2 pin electric plug.
Our bedroom included a massage table, I do not know why.
The breakfast is taken at a restaurant next door and that opens at 7. The choice is a style of eggs with an approximation of toast and a coffee.
The biggest problem here is that the privilege boutique has had it's heyday and that was many years ago, now it is neglected and gasping for breath.
On a positive note the motel sits in a quiet neighborhood with a small convenience store across the street, we did try a local restaurant and this was entertaining.
The staff at the PB seem genuinely to want to help, communication is difficult even when using Google translate, sometimes it felt as if there was no comprehension of potential needs of a hotel guest, being the only guests here added to an interesting if bizarre experience.
My top tip is to take a torch and use insect repellent.
- Yohei (10/5): The best! - I visited from Japan. I had a relaxing time during my 4 night stay. I would like to especially thank the staff for their kindness towards my young son. Nothing!
- Kloe (5/5): staff were wonderful but room was stinky - funky aircon smell.
bath concrete wasnt finished so it had deep mould.
shower had so many mosquitos and general stuffy smell to villa.
otherwise it wouldve been great aircon smell, room cleanliness
- Jacqueline (2/5): Extremely bad hotel. - We arrived at night and were not fully aware of the condition of this property until the next morning. The property is nothing like the photos. Our room was filthy. Mould on the shower curtain and stains all over the upholstery. Underneath the toilet seat was disgusting. The bed was rock hard. The swimming pool was dirty and had green mould on the tiles. The property was infested with mosquitoes. There was no restaurant or bar. We were served eggs at breakfast that were only partially cooked. We left after one night.
- Jela (8/5): Love the hospitality - We loved the place as it is serene and near to the nice eateries and shops.
The staff were amazing and very hospitable. The pillows are so fluffy and the bed foam is so tough. Everything is perfect except for this. Maybe can consider changing pillows and beds.
- Quint (7/5): Good -
- Emilie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rebecca (7/5): needs a little love put back in - I think it’s fair to say that covid hit this hotel hard and they are just starting to recover. the location is amazing. just a short stroll into town and loads of cool eateries on the doorstep. rooms are massive and AC was good. everything though is just a little tired and dirty. stains on sofa in room, torn bed sheets and musty smell to room .swimming pool biggest we have had in our mini tour but even there everything just needs a good scrub and all the excess furniture left to rot outside just isn’t a good look. Breakfast was good but current system is to order in morning and brought to room - was nice though so can’t complain. looking at past reviews this hotel has been amazing so hopefully they get it all sorted and give it a deep clean. enjoyed our stay but could be so much better air of neglect and in parts could do with a good clean. also Japanese restaurant next to hotel seemed to have a cut through that was right in front of our patio so didn’t feel private
- Wander32536062171 (10/5): Beautiful property in Siam Reap - Extremely peaceful property with all facilities. The location is perfect. They have the best staff and specially Mr.Meng who went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable! The rooms are humongous with a lovely view of the pool.
- David (9/5): I’ll be back - spacious and nice pool
- Jeanette (8/5): excellent location - very large rooms with comfortable large bed. lovely staff very tired, needs a refurb. breakfast was served in the room, was cold .
- 146bettinah (10/5): I have found my place in Siem Reap - My friend and I booked a Cabana Suite each. We have young adult Cambodian family that we wanted to spend time with and the hotel was wonderful about them coming and going. Not all places are. the room was a cool haven and the bed was stunningly comfortable. The pool is necessary after a big day out and about. The restaurant was closed but we could choose our breakfast to be delivered to our room and the time. I love the location as it is NOT on the Pubstreet side so therefor quieter but still within walking distance. The Bathtub is sublime!
- andrea (2/5): Don’t be fooled by the pictures - The pool had a film over it and wasn’t pumping round so didn’t want to use it as it looked dirty…The restaurant was closed so we had to order breakfast and then we had to eat it in our room…The bar was also shut down so couldn’t get a drink…The rooms themselves looked lovely but the bed was very uncomfortable and the shower was luke warm and the plug hole was all blocked…I felt like squatters …
- Clement (6/5): - It might have been privilege to stay at the Privilege Boutique hotel some time ago, but is not any longer. The property feels old and in need of refurbishment (that might explain the cheaper price compared to other 4 star hotel in the area). The pool doesn't look very clean (on the surface of the water) and the pool chairs are simply dirty (I didn't see 1 person using the pool during my 4-day stay). There is no restaurant so you need to pre-order your breakfast in the evening and the staff will bring it and set it up in the small outdoor space in front of the room. There is also a karaoke next to the hotel which can be noisy in the evening.
What saves this property is the staff which went out of its way to make our stay pleasant. We asked for mangoes for breakfast and they happily obliged; they also made phone calls for us to book restaurants.
- hrBauer (8/5): Small boutique hotel - Cozy small boutique hotel around a pool with lush garden.
The hotel need maintenance, but it is fully compensated by the cleaning and very helpful staff at the reception.
We stayed at a small suite with separate bedroom and nice terrace wit sun in the morning.
The hotel is placed central in the city with walking distance to National museum and the night marked.
Lots of shop, cafe and restaurants quite nearby.
- Joanne (8/5): Very good - Was a little tired looking but loved the location, enjoyed the the pool very much. The room offered everything we needed no complaints Nothing
- Tyla (8/5): - Quite central, staff very attentive but breakfast options could be better. Still worth the price.
- Patrick (7/5): Good - The Privilege Boutique clearly did not cope with the pandemic, it feels a bit left unattended. Breakfast is served in the room as the restaurant remained closed after the pandemic. The room is spacious enough but also here, a thourough clean is needed
. Our advise... close it for a week or two and refresh completely. It is very well located.
- Jorge (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (9/5): Lovely - The peace and quiet. my room was amazing, so big and it had everything I could wish for.
The staff on reception were so very friendly and helpful. the pool area was lovely but it could do with a little bit of maintenance
- Steve (9/5): Would happily return - Excellent staff and location. Covid has hit hard and understandably not operating yet at full capacity and therefore not all services available.
- Beyer (2/5): Without management? - Breakfast and coffee were great
Morning staff was nice and helpful Urgently needs renovation and cleaning
Pool had many broken/missing tiles
Water came through the front door when it was raining
Sofa was disgusting
Bed was worn out
Look on door was broken/missing
Plumbing of sink did not work
Afternoon staff
- Eduardo (3/5): Poor - Overall the room and the size of room were great. The location is also superb, within 10 minutes walk from pub street and the proper city centre of Siem Reap. The staff was also nice to us. The pool was very dirty and unusable. The breakfast was not on-sight, they took you to this cafe next door with very limited options - you could only choose 1 item for free on the list. Worst of all, every night of our stay there was a huge noise outside in this workshop garage next to the property - it started at 23:00 at night, and didn't stop until 2-3am. We asked the hotel / staff to see about the noise to make sure it doesn't happen again after the 1st night, but nothing was done. Without ear plugs it is impossible to sleep. You can tell the hotel is suffering from post coivd-19, so pity as reviews from stays before covid-19 were very positive.
- Kevin (10/5): excellent stay with very friendly staff - the lovely pool and Room with spa and Balcony
- Allan (4/5): Disappointing -
- Eduardo (9/5): Superb -
- Daan (1/5): Booked 3 nights, left after 3 hours. - Service The pool was not clean.
The room was not clean
The surrounding of the swimmingpool was a mess. Broken furniture, no parasols.
- GabrielV381 (8/5): wonderful locally-owned hotel - This hotel was very nice. The location was great, the rates were good, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Importantly, the AC worked really well!
But the best part was the owner and her staff. They were just really friendly and genuine people, as well as very helpful. They got us a super great remorque driver and provided good advice on how to best approach the vast sites of Angkor. It was such a pleasure to contribute to a thriving locally-owned small business.
The breakfast was good as well, in a very nice set up right next door.
- illusionzo7 (8/5): Friendly and a perfect spot to stay - During March 2020 Siem Reap was a different atmosphere. This was at the height of the travel restrictions and drop in tourism.
March is hottttttt in Siem Reap where you don’t want to be out in the sun during it’s peak (12pm-4pm).
It is a boutique hotel with maybe 20 rooms surrounding the pool.
And the room was large with plenty of space. Mosquitoes are around during this time and definitely in the room since there is koi ponds outside the rooms. If this is a constant problem would be nice to have a mosquito killer machine in the room as we were sleeping with a scarf as a tent over our faces because those buggers bit us.
Service is wonderful with everyone being helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was ala cart maybe due to a drop in tourism.
One way airport transfer was included.
10 minute Walking distance or a 5-10 min tuk tuk ride to must tourist things such as the night market, restaurants.
- 940michellep (6/5): Nice stay - This hotel was rated a 5 star on some sites and a 4 star on others. It's more of a 3.5-4 star.
Hotel in general is quite small. Rooms were ok, would have felt better about it if the shower didn't have a ragged curtain & if they had some mosquito repellent device in the rooms. Yes, there were constantly mosquitoes in the room, possibly because the shower has some river rock in it keeping stagnant water.
Breakfast was very limited. It was an a la cart menu at Gloria Jean's (coffee store next door).
Laundry services was great. Clothes smelling fresh & clean.
Service was top notch. Very friendly kind hearted staff. I forget the boys name but was always helpful. Phally was always pleasant to talk to, so sweet, & very helpful.
Walking distance to many restaurants & night market.
Airport shuttle service they provide is only 1 way but $10usd to go back to airport.
- JS (10/5): - This hotel is absolutely amazing! Customer service to the highest standards, staff is super friendly and welcoming and happy to help. Breakfast was good although service a bit slow sometimes. The room was spacious and clean with a great balcony. The hotel is quiet, 10 min walk or a 3 minute Tuk-Tuk ride to pub street and market. Supermarket and pharmacy 1 min walk away. Beds are comfortable and the room has good sized bathroom. The pool is really nice and the bar serves really good cocktails. I would definitely recommend staying here.
- 206angelad (10/5): Peaceful oasis - This peaceful oasis is close to the centre and handy for restaurants and not far in a car or Tuc-T uc ride to Angkor Wat. We went in a Tuc Tuc with Che thank you for looking after us so well.
We had a cabana on the ground floor opposite the lovely clean pool. Very handy for nipping across and chilling on a sun bed.
The staff are some of the best people you could wish to meet. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile.
The cabana was comfortable and just what we needed for a five day stay.
We enjoyed various items for breakfast, continental, cooked omelettes, bacon and the best soft and fluffy little pancakes . All freshly cooked.
A big thank you to Phally who arranged our trips, she is so lovely and always there to help.
To all the staff thank you so much for making our stay so very memorable.
- johndU4920ZS (8/5): Good location and relaxed ambience - Situated in a quiet location with easy access on foot or tuk-tuk to Pub Street. Large rooms have good range of facilities (complimentary laundry, minibar, pool) and excellent breakfasts are freshly prepared at the restaurant next door). Good range of local restaurants with a special mention to The Kitchen which is outstanding and just round the corner. Staff consistently welcoming and helpful.
- mikhaelyo (10/5): Extremely great for this price - I wasn’t expecting much because accommodations were booked by my office in HQ. But I was truly surprised to see a really great hotel with huge, clean room. Staffs are very friendly, they always asked you how you are doing today and tried their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was tasty. Will definitely return here again.
- 581natascias (10/5): A peaceful place in Siem reap - This hotel is absolutely amazing! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is super quiet but at the same time located in a central position close to everything. Beds are super comfortable and it’s hard to get out in the mornings. Would definitely recommend staying here
- moniquemO7562OO (10/5): Best hotel in Siem Reap - I stayed at this hotel and will be staying again every time I visit Siem Reap. Phally and all the other staff made my stay at the hotel so enjoyable, I was sad to leave. The food, atmosphere, staff, room and cocktails are amazing. This hotel is great value for money and it is beautiful! This hotel is also right in the middle of everything and had a lovely restaurant, spa and anything else you could ever ask for. I have already recommended this hotel to all of my family and friends and they can’t wait to visit! Thank you Phally and everyone else for making my trip so amazing!
- lornanolan (8/5): Lovely staff pretty run down - Loved the location, staff were amazing so helpful and kind simply could not fault them so the fourth star is for them . property is adequate maybe a little run down breakfast was really not great , morning restaurant very uninviting. rooms are large and adequate spa bath a silly afterthought would take several hours to fill . free massage was a nice thought
- florianeb919 (10/5): Wonderful hotel - Great hotel well located, big modern clean room with balcony and swimming pool. The staff is more than great, kind, helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I definitely recommend this hotel and hope to go back soon.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel well located in quite area but close by the city center. Big modern and confortable room with balcony. Wonderful staff very kind and helpful who will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I definitely recommend it and hope to go back again.
- esco-jrs (10/5): Great stay - Stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Great location and very helpful staff. Breakfast was great, much better than a buffet, because you can order exactly what you want without worrying about how long the food has been sitting out. Wifi was great, I was visiting for work and needed to do video calls and even downloading and had no issues. Rooms were very nice and had ice cold AC.
- MichelleGal (8/5): Lovely little hotel, wonderful staff! - This is a lovely little hotel in a great spot for getting around by foot or tuktuk. It is extremely clean but perhaps need a little ‘ refreshing’ hence four stars, but the lovely ladies on reception deserve 5 stars, they were so sweet and helpful and friendly, especially when we had major issues with our flights getting cancelled due to the corona virus and could not do enough to aid us during a very stressful time. The pool was lovely to relax around after a busy morning sightseeing. We would stay here again.
- Curiosity798875 (6/5): Expected much more out of this hotel. The reviews are overrated. - I stayed in this hotel for 4 knights with my friend.
Pros:
- very polite and helpful staff
- very good location (5 min walk to the center - Pub street)
Cons:
- old rooms, no windows, no air.
- the breakfast is not a buffet, but by a limited buffet.
- wi-fi is ok but not stable
- the biggest issue - mosquitoes - could not sleep and was bitten bad. May be thats because of the fish pound they have. The buzzing all night, the night i left my face was all red from the bites(. very uncomfortable to sleep.
- too much dust in the room.
- definitely will not stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My aunt and I stayed here for 3 days in January and would definitely recommend it. The staff were lovely and so helpful, particularly Prally and the younger girl (who I unfortunately didn’t get a name for). The hotel is in a really good location as it is only a 5 minute walk to town. The hotel has a feel of. Family run hotel and it really was amazing just how helpful n slovenly the staff were.
- R&B (10/5): - Staff fantastic, could not help you enough.
Location good, easy walking distance to market and pub street .
Room spacious and clean.
Bed and pillows comfortable and cozy after a long day.
Pool large, nice chairs and umbrellas.
Pool towels provided.
- Marvin (10/5): A budget friendly jewel in Siem Riep - They are wonderful! The service is impeccable and you will be well treated by everyone. Of course, it is not a 5-star hotel so you may see the rooms are not perfect, however, the staff service quality surpasses these little details, I would definitely stay there
- Debi (10/5): Lovely hotel with great pool - Wonderful staff. Comfortable clean room. Great rain shower. Good breakfast. Pool wonderful respite from the heat. Tours booked through front desk were all great and priced competitively. Highly recommend!!
- Sandra (10/5): Great Place - I prefer the smaller boutique hotels because I like the personal service and this hotel was wonderful. I chose this hotel also because of the affordability ($134 for 3 nts.); the location (10” easy walk to Pub Street; Old Market); the amenities (free daily laundry up to 4 items, SIM card, airport pick up, mini fridge, hot water pot, bottled water, breakfast); a LOVELY pool; and the reviews on the kind staff. My room was quiet even though I was on the 1st floor. Sept. Is low season for travel so not a lot of guests were there. Everything you need is nearby- a mini mart is directly across the street.
Tuk tuk driver was always available in front. The rooms are huge. WiFi is good. Great hot shower and ac. The only recommendation would be that at breakfast, ONE cup of coffee is included- would have like free flow.
- Adam (10/5): Amazing property - staff is phenomenal! - Our stay was just perfection. Great central location with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. All tour operators will pick you up from here. Staff is SUPER attentive and so very nice. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. And I enjoyed the immaculate pool and poolside with beautiful landscaping every single day. Highly recommend this hotel. Everything was superb!
- JAKE (10/5): - i normally stay at pricier places... this was better
- Shannon (10/5): Would absolutely stay here again! - The online photos are exactly what it looks like in reality. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We booked all our transportation/tours directly with the hotel, and everything went smoothly. Amenities were a nice touch. Our flight was delayed an hour and passport control was hectic, but a driver provided by the hotel was still waiting when we reached the other side. We were also given 8 free pieces for laundry service, which I wasn’t expecting. The only downside with this property (at least in our room), although not a huge deal, is that the bathroom is rather open so if you’re traveling with friends/family there’s not much privacy when showering other than a flimsy shower curtain. The toilet luckily is behind a sturdy door though. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this hotel.
- Sarah (10/5): - Nice hotel in a quiet street close to the busy streets. The staff is very professional and helpful. A good experience!
- Christy (10/5): - The staff was amazing and so helpful. Greeted us with a cool towel and a lovely beverage. They upgraded our rooms to fit our comfort needs. Exceptional!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hotel, service were excellent with super helpful and attentive staff. Definitely going back again
- Yi Ting (8/5): Relaxing boutique hotel - What I like about the room is that it's large and clean with all facilities you need like blow dryer, shampoo products, vanity kit etc. The setting though is neither luxurious or delicate - we found in Room 104 a rough wooden wardrobe, make-shift shower curtain, a not quite fixed faucet, random mix of white & yellow lightings. The hotel offers to wash your clothes for free, max 8 pieces per room, which is a big plus for travelling in hot weather and I actually needed to take shower twice a day!
Breakfast by the pool is a bit hot in the morning so one day we asked the staff to deliver food to our room instead which they were happy to do so. Good variety and quality of food for breakfast, however it may take a long time for the food to be served and therefore it's recommended you make your order earlier than you would usually do. In case you need to go out very early in the morning, just inform the staff the night before and they'll prepare take-away breakfast for you the next morning.
Pool is not big but good enough for the small number of guests.
Staff speak very good English and are helpful in taking care of your requests and answering your questions.
The hotel is walking distance to a number of restaurants and spa and even to the pub street. Calling tuk tuk is very convenient and much cheaper using the Grap app (like Uber), which takes you to these places for around 3,000-3,800R.
I'd say the hotel is overall good value for money.
- Clara (10/5): - The hotel staff, facilities and location made my trip to Siem Reap a wonderful experience. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. They are efficient and you always feel that you are properly looked after. The facilities are very well maintained, and the salt water pool is more than a bonus. It is the best way to wake up in the morning. The rooms are simple, large and very clean. It does not have a restaurant but they serve a lovely breakfast. There are many restaurants right outside your door. The hotel is very well located and minutes by tuk tuk from the main part of town but far enough so it is quiet.
I highly recommend this wonderful boutique hotel and look forward to staying there again.
- Anne (10/5): Great hotel for couples and families - Choosing to stay here was the perfect decision for us. Staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was very personalised and they even made an effort to remember our names. The hotel was located in the city, yet in a quiet surrounding and that made the stay relaxing. Everything was great and we will definitely find ourselves back here again.
- Ruth (10/5): Fabulous place to stay - It was an absolutely gorgeous hotel and the staff were incredible. My room was large and very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious.Good sized pool with nice loungers and umbrellas. !0 minutes walk over the bridge into the heart of Siem Reap. Free laundry service was available for a few items per day which makes a real difference in the heat. It was glorious and I will stay there again.
- Lauren (10/5): Amazing Stay!! - The service here is top notch. Breakfast is amazing (very good!), Wifi worked great, the rooms are clean and well maintained. We stayed in 2 rooms as we extended our stay, they upgraded our room. The first room's bed was pretty hard, the 2nd room was more comfortable and much larger.
The pool is beautiful and we enjoyed many days there as it was quite hot outside.
I highly recommend staying here. There is a convenience store across the street to purchase snacks, beer, etc. They gave us 4 bottles of water each day, 2 when cleaning during the day and 2 more at turndown.
Location is great - close walk to everything, but far enough from the bars to be quiet at night!
Only negative was that they have several frosted windows (privacy) but they don't have any type of curtain/drape to cover them, so light did come into the room pretty early.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Service is Outstanding - Like You're Family! - I've been traveling for four months across several countries and staying at many different hotels. Privilege Boutique was among the best or quite possibly the very best for the degree of hospitality they provide. All of the staff at the front desk knew my name from day one. When I returned to the hotel in the afternoons, they would greet me by name, ask about my day, and see if there was anything they could book or arrange for me. They were so helpful in recommendations as well as just making me feel welcome. The room I stayed in was very comfortable, and the hotel location was great - close to everything without being so busy that it would have been loud. There was a made to order breakfast every morning that was very good. Privilege also connected me with a most amazing tuk tuk driver - Dara - who drove me everywhere and by the end felt like a friend. The only downside about the hotel is that the pool was not cold - it was fairly close to the air temperature, which in April was very hot. However, it would take a ton of energy to keep a pool of that size cold in Cambodia, so this didn't bother me too much. It certainly did not detract from my amazing experience at the hotel. Cold showers were a wonderful way to cool off after a long day touring temples. I have to say that at the end of my experience here I was very sad to say good-bye to the staff. I felt like I was leaving family! How many times can you say that about a hotel experience?!
- Chubbs (8/5): - Fantastic staff who where very helpful and friendly. The facilities where very nice and clean my only issue which is more personal preference was the breakfast facilities being outside i would prefer to be sat inside. The breakfast itself was very nice and freshly made. Overall my 3 days spent here where enjoyable and pleasant and i would recommend.
- Mao (10/5): Very Impressive Hotel - First time to Siem Reap and did not expect such a nice hotel. Very impressed.
- Billie (10/5): - This was a beautiful new hotel and the service was great. When we arrived we discovered that we had made an error when booking our reservations. They graciously found a room for us that night and moved us to a more desirable room for the remainder of our stay. There is a lovely pool which was a wonderful place to relax for drink after a busy day. The reception staff were very helpful in assisting us with transportation and shopping directions. I highly recommend this
- samantha (6/5): Disappointing stay - We stayed for three nights in March. We had expected a lot, but, we were quite disapppointed. There was only 8 sun lounges. The pool got quite busy in the afternoon after coming back from the temples, and there simply is not enough lounges. Made to order breakfast is quite a slow process. Also, a poolside menu is available, but, we never sighted the menu. You would think the hotel would want to promote extra services available. We were never offered a drink around the pool side. The staff were friendly and helpful, but, failed to deliver the service which is to be expected from an expensive boutique accommodation. On arrival we were advised that there were many mosquitos, and when I asked for an insect spray, I was told that the small supermarket across the road sold insect spray!
- Jason (10/5): Excellent service in an A+++ location - We wife and I enjoyed our three-night stay in the Privilege Boutique and would almost certainly stay again. The service is FLAWLESS. From the moment the staff greet new guests with their signature "Welcome home" to the final goodbye, you really feel taken care of. The pool and poolside breakfast are also very nice.
I also consider the property's location ideal. It's on the "atmospheric" side of the river, away from the shopping strip and just far enough from Pub Street to keep things quiet (as long as you don't mind chanting monks from the nearby monastery, which was a rather persistent soundtrack during the daytime). It's a short walk to Pub Street, several night markets, and the National Museum.
Our room was generally quite comfortable: large and equipped with a nice bed and rain shower. The room could have used a few decorative touches, though. The walls were minimally decorated, and the bathroom area lacked hooks for used towels.
Siem Reap is in the tropics, so insects are expected. That said, we had a pretty severe mosquito problem in the room one of our three nights. Nets or incense-style burners would have been helpful. But I don't necessarily hold that against the hotel. I think we just lingered in the entranceway a little too long after dark.
All in all, this is a great property that ought to be considered by any couple looking for an intimate retreat in a central area of Siem Reap!
- Kenneth (10/5): Superb boutique hotel - This small hotel is in a reasonably quiet location close to the centre of town. The level of service provided was excellent with a nice pool, some large suites all at a very affordable price. We got free laundry and airport pickup. Would highly recommend
- Kalyanasundaram (10/5): Wonderful experience! - A small beatiful boutique hotel in a good location manned by staff with the motto to go any extent to satisfy guests. You will remember them fir their hospitality. Hats off to the manager Ms. Bunnah, who is probably the driving force behind this attitude. The Manager, staff Anna, Jasmine and also others at the restaurant are wonderful and are absolutely nice to interact with. The gentleman at the reception immediately brought in a new curtain for room when I suggested and was even keen to get more feedbacks! From the moment you check in till the time you are seen off everyone takes care of you very well without being intrusive.
- Eric (10/5): A gem in Siem Reap - Just the perfect hotel in Siem Reap that won’t cost you an arm and a leg! It’s a very personal and intimate hotel with a very friendly and helpful team. The location is also perfect, near enough to walk to most attractions in town but away from the noise. Would definitely stay here again when I return to Siem Reap in the near future.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place, very nice and friendly staff. I fully enjoyed my stay!
- Kirsten (10/5): Lovely stay - fantastic staff - Incredible stay! Service was top notch. From the help with trip planning, the SIM card to the included laundry...everything was perfect. The staff was so great with incredible attention to detail and everyone was so friendly. Can't recommend this place enough! Great for the price. It's also super close to everything!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel! - Very nice hotel to stay in. Great pool and staff. Breakfast was good. Good Wi-Fi. Not many rooms at the hotel so not many people there too. Meant it was nice and quiet when lounging by the pool.
Rooms need a little bit of updating with more decor.
Location is about 15-20 minute walk to the main area of Siem Reap.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Stop searching, book this hotel! - We stayed here for 4 nights and it was one of the friendliest hotels I have ever been to. The location is perfect as it is only a 7minute walk to Pub Street but the hotel is in a quiet area. There are lots of places to eat near by. The free airport transfers both ways all went very smoothly. The staff are all sensational, very helpful, always smiling, nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are big and clean with coffee/tea making in the room and small fridge. We had to do some work online while we were there and the wifi internet was excellent. The pool is lovely. There is a water refill station in reception where you can fill your water bottles for free as many times as you like. The breakfast is cooked to order and you can order anything from the breakfast menu which is very varied. Plus as much juice, tea, coffee as you like. The chocolate croissants were amazing! The hotel organised our tuk tuk driver everyday (Mr Chet) and he was an excellent driver who took us where ever we wanted, he was always on time and waiting for us even when we were gone hours inside the temples. They can also organise a car with driver as well although we liked going about in the tuk tuk. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again
- Rosa (10/5): Great boutique hotel, close to Pub St and restaura - Big rooms, bathroom was gorgeous with shampoos etc provided as well as daily bottles of water. Staff looked after any request and were lovely. Pool area a great haven from the heat and cacophony of Siem Reap. I had a massive balcony overlooking pool.
- Ryan C Chai (10/5): A hotel with an excellent team of staff - The fantastic team of staff at The Privilege Boutique Hotel went beyond the call of duty in making sure our recent stay in Siem Reap a very memorable one. Ms Phally Soun at the front desk and her team exude warmth and passion for hospitality. We were made to feel right at home the minute we stepped out of our taxi and swoop comfortably into our room, which was spacious and comfortable. Phally also made sure breakfast was packed the next day when we had to start very early for our excursion to the temples. Thoughtful gestures like this really made a huge difference to a traveller's experience. The hotel is within walking distance to the heart of Siem Reap e.g Pub Street but on a hot day a ride on the tuk tuk is advisable. All in all we highly recommend this hotel and will happily check in again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Boutique oasis - Lovely small hotel, close to Wat Bo and within walking distance of several great restaurants and Pub St. There is also a super coffee shop on the corner of the street. The hotel has fabulous gardens with lots of trees and plants and a sunny pool with excellent sun loungers. The room was very spacious with a separate lounge and huge bathroom with the largest bath, a shower and double sinks. The staff were outstanding in their attentiveness and friendliness.
Although the room could do with a little attention - fresh sofa, easier patio doors, a nicer shower curtain - this did not detract from our overall stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel as a wonderful place to stay in Siem Reap.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazingly friendly and helpful staff - The staff is absolutely amazing. We have lived in Cambodia for several years and stayed in many hotels there while travelling. In general almost everyone in Cambodia is friendly but this was above and beyond. Genuinely kind and caring staff who helped us over and over again. Cant recommend enough.
- Young (10/5): Great hotel service - I have stayed this hotel for a couple of nights in Mar 24th, 2017, and it was a great. They picked me up at the airport to the hotel, and all staffs are very hospitable, helped me everything what I wanted.
The hotel is not a big but everything well prepared, and so peaceful, cleaned. I strongly recommend this hotel and I must book this hotel again if I go back to Cambodia again.
