Condo was ‘okay’ the fridge didn’t get cold so we had to keep all our items in coolers with ice. Called in a maintenance request and no one came. The ceiling fan fell on top of us at about 3am, after it weeble wobbled all night. The shower handle was broken so we couldn’t turn it all the way on.

• Lisa (10/5): - We absolute love staying at the Calypso. It is our second visit there. Extremely clean and well maintained. The staff is wonderful. We loved we could walk to nearby stores, the pier and attractions. The condo was very nicely decorated and stocked. The kitchen had ample dishes and appliances. The linens and towels were clean and stain free. We liked staying on a lower floor for our second visit. The beach is clean and feels family friendly. The Calypso had a "bar" by the pool area and makes family friendly drinks for teenagers didn't have them feeling embarrassed by the ordeering process. We stayed Sunday through Friday check out. It was starting to get weekend crowded and we were glad to have stayed the days we did. Our only issue and complaint is the door access code ended at 9:30 am on checkout day. Checkout is 10 am. I was in the process of loading the car and got back to the condo to realize the code no longer worked at 9:30 am. Thankfully my teenage children were still packing/checking the condo. This would have been a huge inconvenience if we had all left the condo. This is my only issue with the entire stay. We are already planning our visit for next summer maybe fall break.
• Wendy (8/5): - I liked it a lot because everything was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was complete, and the view was beautiful. I only had a problem upon arrival with the parking. My reservation included only one car and I had two. I handed it to her when I checked in,i don't remenber her name,She was a little rude and didn't help me,but maybe she was tired. After a while, a security gave me a parking pass for only one night and I would be there for 4 nights. The next morning I ran into the lovely woman, her name is Dottie, and she helped me and quickly solved my problem. Then I forgot a box of jewelry and called to find out if they had found it and they quickly solved the problem. Jamie texted me and got me sorted. I am very happy with this hotel and will continue to visit it. I will just make sure to have enough parking (to get your things down the carts are on level 3 of the parking lot).

The AC worked great and the humidity in the space was very comfortable. We were able to walk to many places we wanted to go. If we didn't walk getting there was very easy. The parking garage was very nice and safe feeling. The elevators moved very quickly. We didn't have to wait any more than 4 minutes any one time. On Friday morning near check out there was a but of a jam but one of the three elevators needed repairs. The pools were very clean and maintained to the best levels. The washer and dryer, fridge and stove/oven were all new and clean. The washer/dryer were quite and effective. Overall, I felt very safe and relaxed while at the beach, pool, in the parking garage or in the condo. Will make plans to stay again.

The room definitely needs updated, and appliances changed. Also happened to see the housekeeper walking with just a bleach bottle, no cleaning towels or paper towels. We are assuming she just used our used towels to wipe surfaces. Very gross!! No wonder the room is dirty . I had to scrub the fridge handle with the sponge and all came out!! That means it wasn’t cleaned for a while. I understand that not all the rooms are like that , my review is specifically on this room .I feel sorry we chose this hotel , Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, I’ll take my business somewhere else!

• Julia (10/5): - Calypso Resort is fine, Just wished we would have had more communication when checking in. When booking, I let the property know that we would be arriving between one and two. When I got the parking pass, I noticed it was good from 2 o’clock on, so I assumed that we could check in at two. Not the case! We got there at two and the door code would not work, so I called Panama getaways and they said it was because check in time was not until 4 PM. Panama getaways should inform their customers what their check in time is, even if it is not the same time the garage pass is good for!

There was a bag of dirty towels and linens left in the room, I didn’t know they were dirty until I stuck my hands in it trying to find sheets for the pull out couch. Took it down to the front desk and the lady said oops the maid must have left it then was unable to give me clean linens for the bed until the next day. I went to use the blender and it was sticky with some kind of red juice all over it, clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The beds were awful. There wasn’t a hair dryer in the room, again had to wait until the next day to get one. There was a light in one of the bathrooms that was going out and it buzzed and flickered every time you turn it on. That never got fixed. The staff is incredibly rude. The entire stay was terrible and everything was such an inconvenience! They act like this place is the freaking four seasons when in reality it’s more like the best western, and to top it off the resort patrol tried to give me a parking ticket because it took us too long to pack up our car at checkout! While he clearly watched us the entire time trying to pack our luggage rack in 100° temperatures. We never once walked away from our vehicle, we definitely wasn’t trying to park in the 15 minute spots all day, and we had to pack it there because the luggage rack wouldn’t fit in the parking garage. He seriously said well I should have had you towed! The only good thing about this place is the location. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!

• Thurston (8/5): - I enjoyed the look and feel of the property. Right on the beach and close to Pier Park entertainment. The downside was that the air-conditioning was down for 1.5 days while I was there. Luckily the weather was nice, thus getting a nice breeze.

They brought us new pillows and the other things that we needed that the room was lacking. View and location can’t be beat. Elevators were awful and took forever and the parking garage is very low and seemed to give everyone problems when entering and leaving. I wish the bed was more comfortable, but overall, we had a great time and I’d stay at the Calypso again. The service really made up for what was lacking. Rachel, one of the house keepers, was so kind and apologetic, and did everything she could to ensure we had what we needed once we made are complaints known.

The bunk beds had stains on the sheets and comforter, then my son found food under his fitted sheet on the top bunk. The floors felt greasy and sandy, so it was gross to walk on barefoot. The furniture was pretty beat up and the couch was sandy when we got there. Out of the 4 tv remotes, only one had batteries and all four remotes had no back on them. The air pump in the closet (to blow up rafts) did not have batteries, so it was useless. The AC went out our last night there. The master shower was filthy. The shower curtain was covered in black mold and there was leftover shower gel/shampoo all over the walls from the previous guests. Throw rugs in the bathroom and kitchen were disgusting and needed to be thrown out. It was hardly decorated so it did not feel very homey at all. Beach chairs are not included in this condo either. We paid 55$ a day for two of their chairs on the beach. The main light in the kitchen was burnt out so we had hardly any light in the kitchen. It was not worth the amount of money we paid to stay here for the week.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - First, I’d like to make clear that this review is for Panhandle Getaways and Calypso Resort. Over Memorial Day weekend I booked through Panhandle Getaways because Vacasa had to cancel my reservation 3 weeks prior because of repairs. I was notified there was an electricity outage in our resort but we had already made plans for the beach. Unfortunately we did not get to stay in the resort because it was so hot however the room was so tidy and had an amazing view. Panhandle Getaways customer service was amazing. I work in customer service and realize that the power outage was out of their control. They did their best to make the situation as comfortable as possible for all the very angry guests. The situation was anything but ideal and they offered refunds, purchased fans, left amenities open later for guests that had no choice but to stay in the resort. I hate I was unable to stay in the property but I was highly impressed with the level of customer service and my heart truly went out to them. Though my vacation ended up not being the ideal vacation especially after my family traveled so far, we did make the best of it.

They have a skywalk but our unit was located at end of hallway. Very hard getting luggage and groceries to and from. The unit was good. Could use more pots and pans but if you don't cook any meals you're set. The king bedroom stayed nice and cool but other 2 bedrooms were hot at night and it was hard to sleep. Again, might not be an issue for some. Gorgeous views and walking distance to Pier Park and lots of other stuff.

• Hailey (10/5): - The condo was amazing! Such a beautiful view! I really enjoyed the Tiki Bar and how close we were to the beach. The beds were a little firm, but I think I was the only one who though so. I would definitely stay here again!
• Richard (10/5): So much fun! - Ok, here's the scoop. Calypso Towers is a fantastic resort. While each room is unique, I cannot tell you which room I stayed in, but it wasfantastic, and it was gorgeous with one king and one queen. There were a couple of extremely minor issues that would be nice if they addressed, but overall the unit was so wonderful. The balcony was huge and had an amazing view of the ocean as all of the units do in the east and west towers. Every single room in the east and west towers directly faces the sea. There are two extremely large pools, one in front of the east and west tower each, though anyone staying at the towers can use either pool. Now, Panhandle Getaways does make things a little goofy. I got several emails asking me to download their app to phone which I was absolutly not going to do, but if you read all the emails thoroughly one of them have me a door code in itty bitty font at the very bottom of the email. Another one mentioned filling out some contract that was clearly contradictory to the terms I had with hotels in the area of cancelation. So I just waited until just before my stay, when I knew for sure that I was going to fill out their seperate. Then I got the email that asked me to pay for parking, which, again, was not mentioned on hotels.com. So the property is great, the management is slightly wonky. Would I book this place again? You bet ya I would, we loved it! Walking to many resteraunts, the pier, and the beach makes this the best location in PCB!
• Tonia (10/5): Great place to stay! - We loved our stay! Great location and our rooms were very comfortable and clean!
• Cody (8/5): - The view was very nice. Layout was nice. Staying on the second floor was very convenient for my family and myself. Wife really liked the bathroom. The view from the second floor feels like you’re already on the beach by just opening the blinds. Room needs new vacuum.
• Jessica (10/5): - Nice condo with a beautiful view. Had everything I needed. The pool was not the cleanest but we did spend most of the time outdoors at the beach.
• Nancy (4/5): - The refrigerator was not working. Freezer not working. Had to buy ice. Items in fridge froze food. Ruined lettuce. Called maintenance and nothing was done. Unit should not have been rented until it was fixed. I will never stay there again. I should be refunded a portion of the rent. My son stayed in different unit and was refunded 300.00 for many problems. Also water heater made a loud whistling sound. Did nothing. Sink in half bath did not drain.
• Norma (6/5): - Our unit had just been updated, beautiful. Our check in was a nightmare it took 4 hours to get checked in first it took 4 phone calls to get the code to work and then our condo had not been cleaned from the people before us. We never found a luggage cart upon arrival and upon checking out.
• Whitney (4/5): Disappointing - My husband, children and I have been visiting PCB for 13 years and have stayed many different places, but our stay at the Calypso was very disappointing. The condo that we originally booked was dirty upon arrival (table sticky, shower dirty with hair everywhere, and the master bed had sand and hair all in it). Initially, I cleaned the shower myself and we went to the lobby for more sheets. But, unfortunately, they didn’t have sheets to fit our bed (after we tried 3 different sets) so, they upgraded us to a 3 bedroom condo. It was SUPER nice (706-E)!! All was good, until we didn’t have air one night because of a busted pipe and scheduled maintenance. That was fine until the air in our condo still didn’t work at 9 pm the following night (the maintenance was scheduled until 6 AM). Our thermostat registered 81 degrees in our condo, so I messaged the condo twice that day, but didn’t receive a response. Finally, after my husband went and spoke with the receptionist, a technician came in to fix our air at 9:30 pm. Hallelujah!! BUT, the icing to the cake was having to wait on a elevator for 50, yes FIFTY minutes the day we were leaving. I spoke with many other guests that day that said this was the worst experience for them too. We were very disappointed to say the least!
• Matthew (10/5): Great accommodation! - Great getaway for the family! Staff was very accommodating! Condo was clean and offered plenty of room! View was amazing!

• Verified traveler (6/5): - There is plenty of parking across the street, that was nice. There are no amenities there. No restaurant, no bar. They only have a pool. While there the city had a water repair and the whole city was on a water boil. It was very inconvenient to go eat when drink choices are limited. You couldn’t wash your hands, take a shower, wash clothes or dishes. Anything that dealed with water was off limits. This made it difficult to deal with considering the country is under a COVID-19 risk. We will not stay at this resort again.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and updated property. Stocked with kitchen items as well as fresh clean linens.
