- Lindsey (10/5): - We had a fantastic at stay the Redstone Inn! This was a welcome relief from a week long trip of camping and it was so refreshing to stay at a place that had a hot tub and fitness center. The restaurant was also amazing - extremely high quality food for a reasonable price. The cozy, historic atmosphere of the inn was extremely welcoming and it was amazing to stay at a place with such character. I would definitely stay here again if passing through the area!
- Marcia (6/5): Hot and dim room with one 2 prong electrical outle - Disappointing. Really looked forward to staying at this remote inn, but the room features were old and not comfortable. The worst part was kack of electric outlets and lighting. Bulbs were dim and corners dark. Plus it was hot and there is no a/c. There was a box fan, but no outlet to plug it in, except in the bathroom! The people were nice and the dining room had good food but I would not stay there again. It was too uncomfortable.

- Tamara (10/5): - We stumbled upon this place accidentally (we took a wrong turn and had no cell service). We were impressed with the place and history! We definitely would stay here again if we are in the area.
- Samuel (8/5): - The room was clean and the staff friendly, the food in the grill was very good and excellent service. The only negative things were the child size toilet in the bathroom and that there was no place to get a cup of coffee before 8am when the grill opened for breakfast.
- Hal (8/5): - Been going since the 80s and love the atmosphere and old historical hotel. However, hotel is not senior over 65 with disabilities friendly. No elevator, toilet space placed in wall such that your shoulders touch both sides of wall. Must use sink to pull yourself up. No grab bars in shower or bathroom. Requested room change and was not accommodated.
- Jeremy (10/5): Quirky, Peaceful Getaway - The Lodge is not for everyone as it has the quirkiness of anything that is old. Floors are uneven, doors don't always fit, lighting is terrible for reading, ( bring your own reading light ) there is no AC or an elevator, yet we love this place and return once a year. Surprisingly, since there are only two places to eat in the village, a pizza place and the Lodge, one would guess that the Lodge could get away with mediocre food, but that is not the case. I had wild mushroom stuffed ravioli, my husband had the chicken alfredo and both were amazing! There are only a few untouched by mega money small towns or villages left to be found in Colorado. This is one of them. Sit by the Crystal River and enjoy the view up or down the valley and the gorgeous Chair Mountain. Although there are no good hikes right out of the village, there are many up and down the valley. Our favorite is Avalanche Creek with all its ferns. Down the valley there are hot springs and up the valley there is the fascinating town of Marble where marble for the Lincoln Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was mined. Go on over McClure Pass and marvel at the expansive view of aspen covered mountains. The Redstone Lodge is the perfect base camp to see and appreciate the beauty of nature, learn history and restore your soul with peacefulness.

The dining options are great, we ate at the Grille, and it was simply amazing! The town is super quiet and we love hearing the river. The rooms are clean and well appointed with time piece furniture. Don’t expect modern conveniences like a coffee maker or fridge, but you don’t miss it. The bed was super comfortable!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the dining is very good. The only thing is that I am gluten free. I couldn't have certain items that came with the breakfast, and it would be nice if they offered free substitutions rather than charge for something when you couldn't get one of the items that came with the meal.

- Laurel (8/5): Lovely Historic Hotel! - Redstone Hotel is lovely and full of history. The historic hotel is well cared for. The adjacent tiny town is friendly and quaint. I wish the Restone Castle would have been open for tours... that was disappointing.
- james (4/5): - I was double booked for 2 rooms and only received confirmation for 1. Some one dropped the ball. Fortunately Redstone made it right and only charged me for 1 room.

Bathroom kinda sucked but the property is historic so I am assuming things were meant to remain rustic. I feel there could have been some modernized in certain essential areas of the property, but I would still recommend this place and would hope some modernization happens in certain essential areas. I am sure that trying to keep a property historic but have modern amenities is very tough.
- Renee (8/5): - The room was spacious and clean, the restaurant there has delicious food options. The outdoor patio and pool is wonderful, the setting is peaceful and beautiful. The mattress was somewhat comfortable but the sheets and pillows were not. With no air conditioning, we had to leave the window open at night to cool the room, and did not really feel safe with a public veranda right out the window.

- Rich (2/5): - Paper thin walls (you can hear the conversation in the room next-door) but the worst part was the people upstairs were moving furniture till midnight. We called the front desk and complained. Then they walked around in boots all night long so we got no sleep.

Had restaurants on property, but did not get a chance to eat there.

- Maria (10/5): - This is a beautiful hotel constructed in 1902 which has been updated. It is charming with lots of wood and vintage decor. It is quite comfortable and the folks at the front desk and the bar and restaurant service staff (thank you Marilyn, Cal and Sarah!) were lovely and helpful. There is ample parking. There is no A/C but we didn’t miss it as it was cool up there. There is heating. A few things need maintenance but nothing egregious. We did not use these facilities but the hotel has a pool and spa for guests. We had a delicious dinner at the Inn’s dining room. We shared a salad and a 1/2 chicken dinner which the chef split for us for an extra fee of only $5 and plated with equal and generous portions of mashed potatoes and broccoli. The chicken was delicious, well seasoned, juicy and with crispy golden brown skin. Kudos to the chef. The town of Redstone is tiny, charming, easy to walk and surrounded by gorgeous mountains and a river which runs along by it. Main Street has cute vintage shops for antique/curio/gift/books shopping and we had delicious huckleberry ice cream at the Redstone General store down the street. Friendly, slow pace. There are various activities available including, hiking, horses, jeep tours, and a historic castle that you need to reserve ahead to tour. We were only there one night, but we surely will return to this cute town and stay longer at the Redstone Inn.

- CHERYL (6/5): Only hotel in Redstone with dining facilities. - Rooms are modest and small. Bathrooms are dated. This was our second stay. First time we stayed in room 201. We thought it was small until this (2nd) time when we were in room 202 that was even smaller. (No room for a dresser). But, the proximity to our events was perfect both times.

- Paul (10/5): - I Book this hotel when my flight from Aspen to Fort Lauderdale was canceled due to weather. I was attempting to get an Uber to the Vail airport, where American Airlines had rerouted me, but I was having great difficulty finding any kind of ground transportation. I booked this hotel in the event that I was not able to make my flight from Vail and I took the cancellation insurance that was offered by Expedia. Fortunately, I got a Uber just in time to make my flight from Vail. Because the hotel was noncancelable on Expedia I called the hotel directly when I finally got the Uber and asked them to send me an email confirming the cancellation. I subsequently filed my claim with Expedia/AIG, which declined my claim due to fine print in the terms of the insurance, which, of course I did not have time to read at the time I booked the hotel. Fortunately, the Redstone Inn chose to refund my initial deposit without my even requesting it. Thank you Redstone Inn for your excellent customer service and consideration in this challenging situation. I wish I could say the same for Expedia, but for anyone reading this review… buyer beware!

- Ian (8/5): - Exceptional room on short notice for the price. Lunch at the grill was quite delicious after climbing Redstone Pillar. Only complaint is there was what we can only assume was either a pogo stick festival or possibly a gathering of kangaroos in the room above us, and the walls are a touch thin.
- Christopher (2/5): - Pros: The area is beautiful. There is some cool history to check out around the hotel. Staff is *friendly enough.* Cons: rooms are in DIRE need to repairs (broken mirrors, bathroom sink black from constant dripping, door handle broken, etc). Power went out and there is NO backup anywhere on site (was down for 4.5 hours with no inclination from the staff to say anything about anything), so heat was off in mid January in the Colorado mountains 🤔. If more than 3 or 4 rooms are on wifi it's virtually non-existent, and with hardly any cellphone carriers having service in the area, that means zero communication with anyone... Not a good look. All floors seem to be from the original 1903 building, so no footfall goes unnoticed (even on the bottom floor coming from the 3rd). All of this for $210 a night? It's laughable. All in all, it would be a 2/10 experience. Not recommended until they make major renovations and change some of the staff.
- Kelly (10/5): Quiet, Beautiful Spot - Stayed here several times and I love it. Great place for peace & quiet if you want to be away from the city, people and traffic. Small main St with a great General Store and Pizza place.
- Rochelle (10/5): Excellent! - This is a historic hotel so it has its quirks and squeaky floors, but that only adds to its charm. Despite age and use the space is very clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the radiator heat has a charm of its own. Great place to unplug, enjoy some nice food and relax. The town is super cute, great shopping and food.

- Monica (8/5): - This property does not have an elevator, no in room coffee maker, iron board/iron. Simplistic and clean. I would give it 5 stars if updated. It was extremely affordable for a last minute reservation. The staff is so nice and helpful. Very thankful for in hotel restaurant as nearby eating options are very limited.

- Jennifer (6/5): - Pros - location, views, historical value, cute bar downstairs with awesome bartenders. Cons - this property is old and is literally falling apart. The bed creaked and groaned with every movement. The floor felt soft underneath and we worried about falling through in spaces. The window was stuck. The shower was ancient. The toilet flushed, but weakly. This would be a beautiful and amazing property if the owners spent some money to renovate it.
- Crystal (10/5): - When I arrived I was shocked to find that I booked the wrong dates. Thankfully, the understanding staff found a way so we would have a room for the night. The area is so tranquil; there's a nearby trail that parallels a river. Short distance from the hotel is a boulevard lined with a few shops and a Detroit-style pizza place. The place was built in the early 1900s, so it definitely has an old charm to it. The rooms were clean; bed comfortable; bathroom was clean as well. If I decide to visit Aspen again or Glenwood Springs, I would book a hotel stay here. It is an hour away from Aspen (stayed the night before heading to see Maroon Bells); but the drive wasn't too bad, and the price was reasonable.

- Stacey (10/5): - Friendly staff, beautiful scenery and the restaurant was delicious! Truly enjoyed our stay. Only minor negative thing is that our room was advertised as a mountain view and it did not have a view.
- Ruchi (8/5): - 1. No Microwave, neither in the room, nor in the entire Motel; no fridge as well. 2. Owner was excellent, offered to use their personal Microwave if needed. Overall, Cozy beautiful look & design, good people, less amenities (I hope those were mentioned at the booking time on the Expedia, it was mentioned like a regular motel).
- gerald (6/5): - They tried to keep the vintage atmosphere, but fell short in the bathroom. Sink had rust in it and was super small. Bed was very uncomfortable.
