The room and bathroom were very clean, and while the space is simple and no-frills, it had everything we needed for a short stay—including a small fridge, microwave, and TV. The bathroom is on the smaller side, which could be a bit tight for some, but it worked fine for us. The pool was exceptionally clean and inviting, and the customer service really stood out—warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. It feels like a family-run place, and that personal touch made all the difference. If you’re looking for a clean, budget-friendly stay with great service, Pelican Point is a solid choice.
• Alisha (10/5): - Nice, quaint, and clean! Couple blocks to the boardwalk/beach and to the downtown shopping in the opposite direction = the perfect location! Super friendly staff and cute little gift shop in the lobby. Will definitely return if visiting the area again!

It’s comically convenient to not only the Boardwalk and Jenkinson’s Pavilion; but also to the train station and downtown Point Pleasant Beach. You will not regret staying here!
• martin (2/5): - Absolutely minimal. Sparsely furnished, tiny room. No water pressure, barely warm water. Poor lighting. Motel needs a complete make over. The manager was very nice and tried hard to be accommodating, but she didn’t have much to work with.

• Kelly (10/5): - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay over Labor Day weekend. So clean! A quick walk to the beach & boardwalk. Front desk ladies were so so helpful with dinner recommendations, beach badge & beach chair rentals. Pool was great to use after day at the beach. It wasn’t heated, but still warm. The only slight downsides- TVs are small & outdated, and the PPB area in general was super busy with tons of people, though to be expected on a holiday weekend. Would definitely stay again!

• Anna (8/5): - Pool wasn’t open before 10:00 and we had small kids who were up early to use the pool…they offered for us to come back and use the pool around 3:00 (even after checkout) but they have no rest room to use before we left so we could not use the pool as we live 2 hours away. They also were never at the check in desk - you had to call the phone number and hope someone would pick up
• Michele (2/5): Stay away. - I spent over an $1,000 for only 3 nights. The owner was very very rude. No tables/chairs inside the pool area. We weren’t allowed to use the kitchen sink in our room. (There was a sign taped to it) The fridge/freezer never got cold. There was a coffee pot but no coffee and no filters (they wouldn’t supply any) No breakfast options. Vending machine didn’t work. Couldn’t smoke/e-cigg ANYWHERE even near the property (even the parking lot) The only nice thing was the beds were kinda comfy and it was within walking distance to the beach/boardwalk. I will never stay there again!

They care about their guests and try to accommodate in every way possible. The pool is small but so very clean. The room was clean as well and the bed comfortable, especially if you like a firm mattress. I recommend this motel for singles, couples and families.

But again it was good for my visit. If it was a longer visit and more people I’d might not have stayed there

The environment was nice quiet perfect walk to the boardwalk with the kids. Could be a little more clean, but it’s a motel not a five star hotel. Bathroom was super small but water temperature was great. We like hot shower and it was hot. Beds were hard but it was a for one night. AC were on and kicking pretty strong super cold. Perfect for my husband, the AC could’ve been a little more cleaner floors could’ve been cleaner and the bedding. But overall it was a good stay. Can’t complain for a motel.

• David (2/5): - I fell down the tiny old stairs. No coffee pot. Empty vending machines. Tiny TV with limited cable. No cars in the lot when I arrived, my clue that I should have left. Cut my losses and double booked a better room in a nice hotel that had everything for a little bit more money.
• William (8/5): - The property is in need of an update and basic repairs. For instance, my door hand was not lockable. Someone had obviously broken in and the never repaired the door jamb. Thankfully there was a deadbolt which i could lock. Security wise, every window was un locked, a common set up for theives on ground floor rentals. They rent the room for a night and leave the windows unlocked, then the unsuspecting new occupant heads out to dinner or maybe the boardwalk only to come back and find all their valuables gone. Got upgraded to a larger room at no extra cost....room was so clean, staff was friendly and gave recommendations on where to eat. Pool on site and so close to the boardwalk....we will definitely be back next year!

The water pressure was TERRIBLE! lastly ants and ants everywhere were actually crawling on us a few times. the lady who checked us in was ok nice, the one who checked us out wasn't too pleasant, definitely won't be back there.

The manager was on top of things and made sure that grandma and papa had an adjoining room to grandkids and family without asking for that option. Warning to partiers; management does NOT tolerate ANY infraction of the rules, so maybe look into something more your speed. As old people traveling with family, we liked it just fine.

We were allowed to stay parked all day on the day we checked out, which saved us money we would’ve had to spend on beach parking. Very expensive but that’s normal for the area.

We couldn't get coffee in the morning unless the office open. We had to leave the property to smoke. Understandably it was a nonsmoking room. We were not allowed to bring any drinks around the pool area. We were so disappointed we had to leave early. We will Never go back there again... The upside was that the room was very clean and the location to the boardwalk was close.

• Christopher (10/5): - Nice property with recently updated rooms. Nice and close to the boardwalk so you can walk, but far enough away that you don't get the boardwalk noise while you're trying to sleep. My ONLY complaint is that there is no easily accessible ice machine. Staff is required to assist in getting ice and are only available until 8:00PM
