• Brad (10/5): - We were so pleased with our stay at Budget Host hotel, in Cameron, TX. Our room was clean, A/C remained cool the entire night and breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs, biscuits or other bread options, sausage links, waffles, cereal and fruit available. Coffee and juice were good too. Bed was comfortable and ample room to move around. Easy peasy check in and check out. Front desk staff were friendly and informative. I would highly recommend this hotel.

• John (10/5): Enjoyed our stay - The facility was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The pool was sparkling clean and the pool area was well kept. The rooms were nice and quiet with large windows with easy to use shades. We needed extra blankets and towels and the front desk was quick to get us extras when we asked. The bed was much to tall for me. I had difficulty getting in and out of the bed. The mattress was harder than I like. But the linens were clean. The height of the bed and the hardness of the mattress are personal likes/dislikes. Not the fault of the facility.

We stay here every year when we come to visit our son and have never been disappointed. We notice upgrades every year. It is by the train track, however, any hotel you stay in Cameron is going to be by the train track.

• Sherardon (2/5): - I stayed at budget for two nights the owners were a man and women the women was fine upon check in on Saturday I found crickets were in my room everywhere I told the young lady the next day and all she said was house keeping will be on there they ce and swept on Sunday I went to my reunion and came back to my room keys not working I went to the front desk where I waseat by the guy owner who activated my keys back while saying do you want to settle your bill I paid and went to my room where I found more crickets on my floor I checked out on labor day aftery husband found a cricket in the bed with us do not stay here it's nasty and poor customer service just sad should be shut down.

The rice was reasonable. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nourishing and tasty. All the staff was very professional, doing their job well. An excellent experience! We will visit again if the need arises! The reason we needed to visit... no power at our home post hurricane.

I showed them Expedia's add and they said it was not them that charged that cost. I had to pay more to get the room advertised in the end.

The air felt so good we slept like babies during the night. The man checking me in was a little rude. He didn't greet me when I walked in. 😔 All he said was I NEED YOUR ID AND CREDIT CARD. I didn't like that the shower curtain didn't stretch all the way, so it cause the floor to get wet.

We could hardly hear the TV. The breakfast was not restocked even though it was 8am and they had 1 hr left. Overall clean hotel but sleep was lost due to the loud AC.
