• Catherine (1/5): I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! - The bed was comfortable. Staff was rude and completely unprepared for our arrival. They didn't even show us booked. Then they refused to give us adequate towels. The place was in the WORST shape I've ever seen in a hotel. Curtains ripped, and just tied into a knot. The place was disgusting. The water took forever to heat up, then never got past warm. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

• Thomas (3/5): - Bed was comfortable. Bathroom vinyl floor was coming up. Tub surface dangerous to stand in to take a shower. Curtains pieced together. Room very dark.
• Amy (7/5): A good value if you don't have high expectations. - Montross punches above its weight. I hadn't been there before, but it's a super cute little town with several exceptional, bustling places to eat. There was plenty to explore in the area, from Washington's birth place to Belle Isle State Park. The motel room was clean and comfortable and fairly quiet despite being on a busy road. I appreciated the price. The furnishings and decor in the room was past its prime. Curtains were actually disintegrating.
• Sharon (4/5): - Convenient to the family we were visiting There were two sinks in the bathroom, but only one was working. The beds were uncomfortable and the toilet kept clogging up and wouldn’t flush. People kept calling our room trying to reach the front desk. A lady staying there, called our room for a plummer. She was having issues with her toilet too. Two people called our room asking how much for one night and if there was any availability. It was very strange that we were getting calls wanting the front desk. The curtain draping the front window was torn! That was tacky. There should be a curtain in the bathroom that closes all the way or install shades.

The water didn't get hot, the beds were too firm and bouncy, the tub was shower only without even a plug for the children to get baths, the hear worked too well, there was only 2 sets of towels when I had 4 people staying, there were people doing burnouts in the parking lot after 10pm, there were holes in the curtains.

• Mark (9/5): I had an enjoyable stay on this fishing trip. I intend to return with my boat next time. - Very clean and well- kept for an older motel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Daily housekeeping. Safe and quiet location.

• Sonja (3/5): Overall it was one of the worst experiences and my grandchildren will have nightmares from how bad they treated us - The property was close ! Well we are trying to relocate and the owner was short and very rude.

• Jens (9/5): Superb - We stayed here from 05-29-24 to 05-30-24 and had a warm wellcome although arriving late. Comfy beds, clean room in vintage style and no disturbing noise during the night. Porch chairs outside facing a large pond, great view.

The owners did a wonderful job with upkeep of original walls and floors. I enjoy staying in vintage places. There was nothing that I didn’t like about the property.

• Byron001 (5/5): Passable - Nicer room than I expected. Reasonably clean. Booked room online the morning of my anticipated arrival in Montross. Checked in at 6PM. At 9PM received this cryptic message from motel: "5 pm or 6 am. Sorry you checking am so you paid extra" Also, no coffee maker or desk in room, though these amenities were advertised.
• Becky (8/5): Nice - An older hotel that is dated - think 1950’s motor lodge , but it was very clean and quiet. It served the purpose of a 1 night stay - and we would return. Wish there had been another pillow for the king sized bed - there were 3.
• Kirsten (8/5): Very good - Location was perfect for our needs. The room was spacious and had a microwave and fridge. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. It's not luxury, but if you're just looking for a simple place in the area to stay at a budget price, this will meet that need. We are likely to stay again in the future because we play at the BBQ joint (excellent!) just a few minutes down the road.
