• Dmytro (1/5): The worst mistake - Absolutely nothing, gross and disgusting place. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Extremely dirty, smelly and had bedbugs. Horrible customer service and rude staff.

• Ernesto (4/5): Disappointing - Saw a bed bug in the shower and a Beatle crawling on the floor. The AC was noisy and the hot water didn't last that long and was missing the hot water knob. The beds were a bit too soft.

• Perry (5/5): Stuck in the 70s - The price was good. Air conditioner didn't work, was very warm. Window had no lock on it. No room cleaning for second night and had to get our own towels. Room smelled like smoke . Very dated room. Plug inside were worn out.

Dirty bathroom, lights that don’t work, doesn’t look like the room is cleaned well garbage on floor behind tables, ripped and stained sheets and pillowcases, dripping air conditioner and intermittent wifi

I am thinking of booking this place for our entire hiking group next year.What you will not find other places is how nice the owners are. Do not come to Sun Dek Motel and miss staying at this great place
• 291medicineh (10/5): Excellent accommodations - Don't listen to the last guys post. I was staying there at the same time as "Rob". He was evicted for selling illegal drugs out of his room. I watched him along with several other get arrested and he was the reason why his room was in such a state as he put. After he was gone the place was peaceful again.
• L650WCrobc (2/5): terrible - Room had a hose size fridge, little room to move. Floors were dirty and garbage not picked up. Floor tiles crooked and missing grout. Ceiling light had duck tape holding shade on. Cigarette burn holes in the bedding. Many holes and rips in the blackout curtains, looked like a starry night sky at sunrise.Black skuff marks on many walls. Baseboards improperly installed and broken. Smelled bad like stale drinks and cigarettes. Bathroom sink had not been cleaned. Evening manager claimed he could not do anything about the room and blamed it on housekeeping and said he would tell the owner. We had to forfeit a second night cost because we refused to stay and they told us there was no refund for cancelling. Bad choice choosing this location. Oh and no Continental Breakfast. We could not get out of there fast enough. We almost slept in our vehicle.
• seppei2022 (8/5): Over and Beyond!!!! - Stayed at the Motel a few nights back and i give praise to Bruce who helped me locate my cellphone that i had left at the motel. i was able to communicate with him as i was driving to Ontario from medicine hat with calls being exchanged. Communication was excellent and could not expect that from bigger hotel chains. The phone was shipped back to me and i felt confident and relieved knowing i was getting it back safely. Thank you so much...

• Hilsrus (2/5): Not a good place to stay - When we drove in the parking lot there was junk piled up against the side of the office. After we checked in and went to our room it was hard to fully open the door as there was a full size dirty refrigerator in the way. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and not very clean. The shower handle was broken so my husband had to use vice grips to operate it. I would not want to stay here again.
• 421myc (2/5): YouTube video shows truth not manufactured reviews Sun-Dek Motel - Comes with bugs comes with druggies comes with mold you can push the security door open there's no cars in the parking lot because it's a monthly Hotel so your possessions are not necessarily safe pet friendly in fact in the video you can see all the pet friendliness dog food plenty of unusual smells lack of cleaning no covered restrictions to get downstairs if you're on the second floor the air conditioners make a lot of noise vibrating on the wall if you're lucky enough to get one that works
• ddD2476XM (2/5): BED BUGS!! Disgusting and Disgraceful - Room hadn't been cleaned in what must have been a month. MOLD in the bathroom on every surface. MOLD in coffee machine. MOLD on window. CRAWLING WITH BED BUGS. Was offered a different room...which had almost no heat and no hot water as the taps did not work. Phone charger killed all the power to the unit...at least I couldn't see what was scurrying around in the dark.
• TheComfortablySauvag (10/5): Good people - we were on our way back to Ontario, when we got a flat tire here in medicine hat, we drove around looking for a hotel to stay but they were all booked, no vacancy. We finally saw the Sun Dek hotel. We ended up staying here for 3 days because it was hard to find a place that would replace our tires, noticing it was Thanksgiving weekend, but the owners here helped us a lot, calling around the city looking for tires. They were very polite and looked out for our best interests. The rooms were clean..showers HOT and yes there was breakfast waiting. If your looking to stay here for a night or two i would high recommend this place..Oh did i mention the price was cheap as well!
• Go265757 (6/5): Perfect for me - My buddy and I stop in every year on our way to ski in the Rockies. Nice people, clean rooms and a good basic breakfast . No problems at all! The price is right and the manager is very accommodating. We will stop again.
• jerrye377 (8/5): Over night stop - We have stayed here before and knew what we were getting. It is pretty basic economy motel. Breakfast included: yogurt (only one left when we got there) toast, coffee, juice was gone, boiled egg, cereal, milk. It was enough for us.
• JessicaZ367 (2/5): you get what you pay for - the walls in this place are paper thin. we could hear the conversations of people in all the rooms around us. There was something that had been left in the rooms mini fridge from sometime before our visit. the shower curtain was covered in mildew. The thermostat in our room was broken. It appeared that most of the patrons of the motel were actually living there as welfare recipients. all in all spend the extra money and stay absolutely anywhere else.
• marisacoad4 (2/5): Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this motel - We had a 3 night stay while visiting family, very poor cleanliness of the room and whole motel area. When arriving to the motel there no towels. The room had 2 double beds, which had king size sheets on and didn’t stay on the bed. The bedding looks like it wasn’t washed and also had burn holes in the bed spread. The bathroom tub didn’t have any grab bars. The bathroom shower curtain was stained beyond cleaning, for all 3 days stayed there were no housekeeping, and no additional toiletries or towels were provider. The sign outside the motel says it offers complimentary breakfast, but that was a lie. No access to the ice machine and the cups that were in our room was not sanitary( red solo cups with no covers). I also seen the desk attendant bring in red solos cups with his bare hands inside the cup. The sign said high speed internet was provided, but it only worked half the time at a slow speed. Will not be returning and I highly not recommend this motel
• D2420ISpault (4/5): Keep searching unless your on a real budget and not trying to be cheap. - We read the reviews. I booked. 60 bucks was hard to pass up. I should have known for another 20-30 bucks. Dirty and filthy. Stupid me. Bad. Cleaner outside then in. A/C makes noise not cool air. No ice other than little baggies.
• andreabK1542MI (6/5): Meh! - About 3 stars is all I can give. It's under new management and by the looks of it the previous owners didn't do much of anything. So by benefit of the doubt I will give it three stars in hope that the reno's happening is more than a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Now don't get me wrong for the cost $55 A night with a $5 per dog dog fee which is cut down a bit if you stay more than 1 night isn't something to complain about.."you get what you pay for"! There is a complimentary breakfast but I didn't partake so I can not say whether it's work dragging yourself outta bed for. The bed was comfortable and I did get a good night's rest without a kink in my neck in the morning so that was good. The walls are a little thin as well as the floors. The curtains however do a great job of blocking out the hot sun in July. But on that note...if staying be sure you go in if in summer and turn on the bathroom sized air conditioner poorly placed in the room right away because seriously it isn't big enough or placed right in the room at all for it to be effective. They definitely need to upgrade to a model or 2 larger than that because it takes forever to cool the room down so keep the curtains drawn or cook worse cause it will never cool down. Just a warning for any that have the lux of home air. It's not here. Overall for the price and the beds are comfortable the water is hot and cold there is fast food fairly close you don't have to go very far and the hyway is just off the to your left. You don't get a lot of road noise or traffic after 6. It's quaint and for 55 a night seriously..you get what you pay for. I would stay here again just to see what the new owner have done and for the price the beds are comfortable. I hope they can make it more like a 70 a night place with a bit more tlc.
