Guest Reviews
- Miele (7/5): -
- michelle (4/5): No tell motel type - Not much Old everything
- Dave (2/5): - I don't think I'll go back there. I made the reservation online, thinking the place looked nice. But it didn't!
- April (5/5): - They allowed us to do a late check out that cost $45 more to stay until 3pm. We wanted to go to the beach and wash up before we headed home. We stayed here 2 years ago and the owner was a very nice and accommodating man. So when I booked again this year, I was expecting the same owner. Well, we checked in with a man who was clearly on drugs. We also realized after the first day that there are many families living within the facility. There were even children. We could not use the pool at all. The families that lived there took it over. I was extremely disappointed with our stay and will not be going back.
Also, I do believe they were turning our ac off when we left the room. Every time we came back, it was off.
- Alexis (7/5): -
- Ada (2/5): - The experience was horrible. It was a dirty place. My family got traumatized

- Lawrence (6/5): - The check in process was good. Parking was convenient. The room was basically clean. The shower curtain liner was covered in mold.
- Roccasecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fab (1/5): Scam artists in dirty motel - Nothing Double charged me for the room. I am not in the process of disputing it with Booking.com
Rooms were dirty, bathroom dirty. Did not seem to be cleaned between guests.
- Brandon (8/5): - Great place- nice and quiet
- Bill (2/5): Very poor - Location Ppl living in the motel with kids, they were up all night making noise got no sleep from the distraction
- Gary (4/5): - No hot water for 3 days when it was 30 degrees outside Shower tub was patched up and definitely needs a serious revocation
Only 6 parking spots for 30 plus rooms
The heater did not work efficiently and the manager tried to help He was great at check in and trying to accommodate my 88 year old mom and me with the issues Had to walk up 3 flights if stairs to our room when there were no more available rooms Construction next door sounded like an earthquake for 3 days rattling the building starting at 7 in the morning Do not bring your family here might be ok for a solo
- Miele (9/5): Superb - Josh at the front desk works his butt off!
- Mohammad (2/5): - The room is literally disgusting
The check in takes so long for some reason
And the heat doesnt work we couldnt even sleep
There are no blankets at the same time and for what you get the thing is way over priced
Not good for humans
- Cymphane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cymphane (1/5): The guy at the front desk always overcharges you the rooms are dirty the Wi-Fi doesn't work - Nothing The guy at the front desk always overcharges you the rooms are dirty the Wi-Fi doesn't work bathroom has hair all over it the TV turns off at 2:00 in the morning
- Aung (7/5): Good -
- Kevin (10/5): - T
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Not accommodating, poor wifi
- Rob (10/5): - Staff was extremely helpful especially when I put in for wrong weekend. Place was very clean. Off season so area very quiet. Short walk to the beach.
- Christopher (10/5): Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location. - Clean rooms, nice location.
- Bill (5/5): For the money it wasn’t bad - Convenient for work Not real clean, had to use my own towels. And it looks like ppl live there in rooms
- karherin (2/5): - Place is infested with bed bugs.
- Marcia (8/5): Very good -
- Conrad (5/5): The fishing was very good. - Walking distance from many activities Since my friend and I traveled in different vehicles they changed us an additional $50 to park the other vehicle in their parking lot. One room one vehicle. If you parked on the street you could get towed since it was in a residential area. And any parking space in town that has a number on it is on a meter.
- Nico (10/5): - B
- Donna (7/5): I would visit again! - It was comfortable, and quiet
- Sagba (6/5): Pleasant -
- Roxanne (2/5): - The place was filthy
- Maggie (2/5): - Terrible customer service. Rooms were dirty and the whole place was unsafe and the pictures look nothing like the place.
- Nelson (2/5): - Don’t get fool by the picture this place is a dump
- Claudia (10/5): - Very clean and affordable! Family friendly and Alexis was very attentive n helpful. I recommend it 100
- Ramos (7/5): Good -
- Kristin (8/5): - Overall I would recommend this hotel. I would recommend bringing your own pillows and towels. The management is very friendly and accommodating.
- Felicia (8/5): - Thanks for the quick stay
- Claire (1/5): Disgusting - Smell was terrible
Sheets were scratchy
Room was dirty
Ceiling was caving in
- P (5/5): The staff was friendly and good location but room needs fixing! - Close to boardwalk and beach Run down. Room needs much TLC! staff was very friendly and helpful. Our air conditioner kept shutting off. When I asked the man at the front desk he told me to take it off auto. Alexis came up to our room to assist and figured out the beds are placed too close so the air isn’t circulating and it thinks it’s cool in the room. She helped us push the beds away and it worked! The light over my bed was out, rust on shower rod, no bar to secure room from staff, toilet paper holder off the wall.
- Andrew (5/5): WON.T BE BACK - WHAT WAS A SINGLE ROOM IS NOW A TWO BED BED ROOM SO THERE WASN.T MUCH ROOM AT ALL SIZE OF ROOM
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible stay - The room was VERY musty. The linens were stained, curtains did not close tight, looked like blood stains on the comforter. The air conditioner did not work well and just blew musty air around. Do not recommend at all. Also room smelled like cigarrette smoke.
- Steven (7/5): Good - Location of the hotel very close to the boardwalk and Beach and rooms were very clean Beds for very stiff and a little uncomfortable and light in bathroom was very dim.
- Paige (10/5): - Overall stay was great. They let us check in three hours early! When we got back to the room at night the smoke detector battery was dying so it was beeping and they sent someone up in less than five minutes to fix it. The room was pretty small but overall good.
- Nick (2/5): - My stay at Bay Breeze Motel was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any motel. When I arrived, I was promised parking on the property, but there were no spots available. After finally finding a place to park nearby, the owner assured me that I was safe with the parking pass displayed in my rearview mirror. However, the next morning, I woke up to a parking ticket because I wasn't in the correct spot. When I brought this to the owner's attention, he simply said, "This is your fault," and refused to help.
The room itself was in terrible shape. It was dirty when we arrived, and the bathroom was no better—grimy surfaces, unclean fixtures, and an overall lack of care in maintaining basic hygiene standards.
To top it off, the Wi-Fi was nowhere to be found, despite the front desk staff assuring me that it was available. When I tried to address all these issues with the person at the desk, they were completely unaccommodating and dismissive.
I strongly advise against staying at Bay Breeze Motel. Between the lack of parking, the unhelpful staff, and the poor room conditions, it’s just not worth it.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (7/5): The owner was exceptional. Parking was no issue. Pool was good. Location is good. - Even though the facility is outdated, it was clean.
Staff was very welcoming
AC was not working in our first room, and they took care of it immediately.
It had everything the hotel we stayed at the night before, but for half the price., plus parking and a pool.
Again, it needs a facelift, but they had clean rooms. I love retro, and I think it could work for this hotel, but there does need to be some upgrading.
- Angel (8/5): Good - It was satisfactory for my needs for the location and the time where other hotels are much more expensive. The only thing I was concerned was the doors to go in and out they have the traditional turn key lock in the bottom the doors doesn’t slam shut unless you make sure the it’s locked from the inside. And you have to make sure when you leave the door is locked. If you loose your key there is 25$ charge.
- Jessica (4/5): Disappointing -
- Noelle (2/5): - Would never stay here again, looks like a cheap motel and expensive
- Counterman (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (7/5): Good -
- Yannick (8/5): - Great place
- Shawn (5/5): Passable -
- Penny J (4/5): - The floor was filthy. My feet turned black after walking across the floor.
- Jonathan (10/5): Great - Felt Welcomed Great Experience Needs updates
- Stephen (5/5): Passable - Convenient location, not too far from the boardwalk. The room was very crammed with two queen size beds barely enough room to get to the bathroom. Towels were dirty when we got there. The air conditioner was very undersized for the room and right against one of the queen size beds so it was very hot because the air couldn’t circulate. We were on the bottom floor and there were people on the balcony above us and in and out of there room making noise and running around above us until 3am. No one from management came out to tell them to keep the noise down.
- Scott (1/5): Sucked - Nothing Dirty run down uncomfortable
- Erika (8/5): - It’s ok for the price , the room was clean.
- Garrett (2/5): Very poor -
- Thomas (2/5): - This motel is a dump. It is gross, unclean, and unsafe. They told us at the front desk to not be alarmed by the frequent police presence. The a/c didn’t work, Wi-Fi didn’t work, there was hair everywhere, orange peels and dental floss in the garbage, and toilet paper in the shower drain/floor. We asked for a refund. They instead gave us a second filthy room. We again asked for a refund and they refused. We left for our own safety.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Clean. Location. Price.
- Prism (10/5): Exceptional - the furniture was nice, very pretty paintings in the room, super clean, felt super safe, very nice staff
- Weakland (10/5): Exceptional - It was well kept and staff was excellent
- Wills (10/5): Fun time - Tub was slippery
- Jorge l (8/5): - Good
- Anna (2/5): - I never even got out of my car because of what I saw once I pulled up outside. I knew I would be charged anyway but no way could I stay there with my kids. I have never in my life seen anything like this shole. I knew immediately by the look of the place it would be a disaster. Thank god we found a fabulous B&B a block from the beach and boardwalk. Expedia has totally mislead people into thinking this place is a family friendly motel. It is actually the most run down motel in the area and the pool is about as big as a bathtub. It was our first time visiting the shore and there are so many lovely motels and hotels. This place should just be torn down and rebuilt.
- Ronald (6/5): - Had a great stay didn’t actually arrive at the hotel until late then the tv wasn’t working the office tried to fix it and didn’t work so ended up switching to another room
- Stacey (2/5): - Didn’t like anything
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (2/5): Very poor -
- Dana (1/5): Absolutely awful - The manager of the hotel is awful. He's nasty and mean and he keeps your credit card number and charges your room unauthorized charges.
- Hector (7/5): Good -
- Gary (2/5): Very poor -
- Todd (8/5): - Staff was great. The tv remote didn’t have batteries. I told Happy at the front desk and he sent the very nice housekeeper up within minutes with the remote and fresh batteries. I only stayed one night, but it was a good stay.
- Ilia (2/5): - True review: the place is run down and filthy. The owner was really nasty, there were no parking spots. The owner told me to move trash and busted up bed frames to find a parking spot. There was a weird large mirror in the room that was suspicious. The shower was clogged. The towels were worn and stained. No sink in the bathroom. AC window unit was not cooling the tiny room. Just overall disgusting for over $300/night. We checked out after three hours and left because it was too gross to sleep there.
- Weakland (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (4/5): Don't bring your kids here! - It was a good price for 2 nights, and the A/C was great. About 6 blocks to the beach, so walking was fine. The floor was sticky, the tub was slimy, the internet didn't work, definitely not family friendly (wouldn't let my baby crawl on the floors) and my older 2 had to walk around with flip flops on. No one came to change our trash even though we paid for 2 nights. If you're looking to stay for cheap and have no kids it's definitely worth it to save, but if you have young kids I'd avoid!
- Amber (4/5): - For the amount i paid i was disappointed. Very outdated & not clean. I won’t book there again. The hotel is definitely more than 3 blocks away from the beach. The WiFi is terrible.
- Christi (6/5): - The clerk let me park my car there before check in. That was nice. The air conditioner and tv were difficult to work and housekeeping came and showed me how to use them.
- Johanna (6/5): - It was okay for 1 night but qe had no hot water.
- Beth (10/5): Exceptional - The manager/owner was so nice! He was very welcoming and alwsys smiling. . He always greeted us even when we arrived later at night, coming outside the office to check on us and make sure we were okay and asking if we needed anything and wished us a goodnight. We walked in our room and the first thing that hit Mr was the clean smell of the room. It was crispy and so clean! The motel has great parking and you're only 5 minutes walking to the beach. Very quiet street and the room was nice and quiet. Bathroom was nice too!! We were visiting my mom at Community Hospital and it was so convenient to see her, being the motel was only 15 to 20 minutes to the hospital. Great location! Everything was fine.
- James (2/5): No Way! - I don’t ever like to say anything negative, but… no lighting, filthy floors and bathroom, smelled like smoke, other guest (I think living there) were up all hours keeping us awake, a/c leaked all over the floor, beds were broken and sunk in the middle, and key barely worked to open the door. We only stayed two days. Will never go back. Seaside Park has much nicer motels and hotels!
- Brittany (6/5): Pleasant -
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - Facility was clean and well maintained
- Harry (10/5): - If you’re looking for an affordable stay at the shore, this place was not bad. It was a short walk to the boardwalk and many stores are near. This property is a place to stay while you are at the shore. We would go back.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Awesome and not heavy on your wallet - Very friendly, staff and a accommodating .Especially the owner. His name is Happy he was exceptional. Everything was wonderful and I will definitely stay there again
- Tiffany (7/5): Good -
- Tiffany (6/5): Pleasant -

- Dana (2/5): - I understand why they make you pay in full before your stay, it’s so you can’t get your money back!! Upon arrival there was very little parking or room to fit our vehicle in some spots. Walking into the office we were greeted by friendly owner and head of ‘cleaning’ lady. I signed some kind of paper work and we were assigned our room, when saying the room# out-loud the cleaning woman said she had just finished cleaning the room and that we are all set. We were given a room on the 3rd, I can only assume that was because there were people living on the other floors. As soon as we opened the door to our room we were blasted with the strong smell of Fabuloso cleaner. There was no airing out the room with the one window and door open it was so strong. We turned the AC unit on and it pumped out nothing but cigarette smoke, like an astray was just cooling the room. The cleaners used so much of that cheap cleaner the floor was slimy. Everything we touched was slimy. As if they hadn’t watered down the cleaner and definitely used one rag to clean everything! We said to ourselves that it would be fine after it aired out but by the time we came back after dinner a show around 11:30pm it was just as worse as when we first arrived! We stayed the night but by morning we were still so grossed out and the cleaner smell was too much to take anymore.
We turned in our key and expressed that we won’t stay here again. We found something cleaner and cheaper one block from the boardwalk.
- Lorraine (1/5): Terrifying and unsatisfying - The only thing we liked about the property was how close it was to the beach and the cleaning staff was amazing The entire place needs an upgrade
- Nicholas (8/5): - Just quiet, walkable and the front desk personnel very friendly and helpful.
- Valerie (8/5): - Room was clean and friendly people
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joan (2/5): - The internet was so slow, it took on average 15 minutes to get an adequate signal to even view emails and only if you sat outside the room. We were never able to get a strong enough signal to actually send any emails. They supplied only one of the world's smallest bars of soap and only one bath towel for two people. We stayed two nights and the maid brought a second towel the second day but cleaned nothing; didn't make the beds, didn't empty the trash. The TV worked in a spotty fashion. In order to get any hot water, you had to turn on the shower full blast for 10 minutes before the hot water came up. The proprietor was very nice and came to try to fix things when we asked but wasn't particularly effective. The beds were moderately comfortable and the room upon check-in was tolerably clean.
- Lisa (2/5): - This is seriously the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We had to buy paper towels to clean ALL THE HAIR AND PUBIC HAIR off of the floor. I feel scarred for life. I cannot even begin to describe how bad this place smells and how gross it is. I want my money back. Cost $250. Seriously considering sleeping in my car. If anyone has a reservation there, see if you can cancel. Expedia really needs to consider not including this hotel. The noise at night sounded like crackheads fighting. We had to call the front desk multiple times, because we could not sleep, due to the noise.
Really false description on Expedia.
- Gary (2/5): Terrible hotel dont recommend - Canceled my reservation at the site. Manager was very rude. Hotel was dirty and smelly. HeThen charged my card anyway. Leaving me cash short for my stay at another hotel.
