Sitting on that back patio of the cottage with a glass of wine, looking at Mt Warning in the distance, was perfect. Very minor, the bed was a little hard for us and there was a control switch on the spa that didn't work.

I like that we had a comfy bed, cottage was clean and they provided good quality pool towels. Nothing. The hosts have thought of everything.

They were attentive to mall h our stay memorable and utterly comfortable. The property has all the amenities that you need. They have thought of everything to make your stay a fantastic experience. We absolutely loved our stay here and would go back in an instant. If you stay, definitely eat there, Paul is a superb chef. The food was excellent. Nothing, everything was first class.

Richard (10/5): Outstanding B&B and fully reflects its outstanding rating. - Paul and Craig were excellent hosts - extremely helpful, but not intrusive. They gave excellent recommendations for things to do in the area. The location is well off the beaten track and a bit of effort to reach, being 45kms from Gold Coast. However, it is well worth it with the excellent facilities and the glorious views in three directions, being on the crest of a hill. We only found ii because some friends recommended it years ago for any visit to Australia. We made quite a diversion to spend three nights there, and it was well worth it. Paul cooks excellent meals and I would highly recommend booking in for some of his dinners. I really cannot think of anything. It was really really good and the hosts were on site and extremely responsive. Nothing whatsoever went wrong.

Tracy (10/5): A perfect blend of warmth, comfort, and breathtaking views - We had such a lovely stay at Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat. Craig and Paul were so warm and welcoming, and honestly nothing was ever too much trouble for them. You can really feel how much care they put into everything. The rooms were super comfortable and really well set up, and the shared spaces were spotless with lots of thoughtful little touches. The pool area was gorgeous too — perfect for relaxing. Breakfast was unbelievable… truly amazing, and the real coffee was such a bonus. And the views! Absolutely stunning. It’s such a peaceful, beautiful place to unwind and just take in the surroundings. We left feeling totally relaxed and refreshed. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
Kate (10/5): The most enchanting ausie retreat with an English twist - We LOVED Hillcrest and everything about the location, we WILL BE BACK! What stunning views! They are so lucky… But just when you think you’ve bagged a stunning location.. out come THE HOSTS! The most amazing two people iv met in Australia!!!! There are no faults. Iv never heard my partner make so many yum noises whist eating food, iv now refused to cook for him since .. haha He cannot wait to come back and wants to be .. regulars hah :)
Chantal Marie (10/5): A small, green paradise in Australia - The cottage was great, very spacious with lots of room and two terraces. The spa bathroom was also very nice, especially on rainy days. The view of the mountains and national parks was amazing, everything was very quiet and green. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic, by far the best on our trip. Paul and Craig gave us some great tips for the rest of our trip. Thank you for everything!!

Rooms were very comfortable, and the living area was fantastic with modern heating and a cute library area where my wife and I spent hours playing board games and reading books. Breakfast was amazing and just the thing you needed to start the day. Dinner is a must, Pauls skills in the kitchen are the epitome of fine dining so there is no need to go elsewhere to eat. There are plenty of places to visit in the surrounding towns or just sit back, relax, and enjoy your time at Hillcrest. Thanks again guys well done. No complaints

This is the second time we stay at their Air B&B and we will definitely head back again in winter for the cosy cottage experience. Besides the tranquility and magical views from their property, you are treated from the minute you arrive like a friend. Paul & Craig are great to talk to and Craig has a great sense of humour. Paul prepared us an amazing three course dinner and breakfast while Craig always assured we had everything we needed. The accommodation is very well maintained with lots of attention detail. Fabulous for a romantic getaway. The B&B shared space has a library, fireplace, own fridge and little kitchen area and is very cosy and comfortable. The best thing was the daybed on the deck attached to the room with the most amazing views. Absolutely stunning!

Wonderful nights sleep in the comfortable bed and then a scrumptious freshly made breakfast. Craig and Paul have made Hillcrest into a wonderful B & B and truly are the hosts with the most. The views, the attention to detail in every room, the food (oh, the food!!!)and the most genuine and friendly hosts Paul and Craig. So nice having dinner and a bottle of red with just a few steps back to your room! The menu is fabulous and the wines (we tried two) were perfect. Paul also makes an amazing espresso martini! You feel like you have privacy, freedom and a place to wind down or use as your base for local nature and trials, but at the same time feel as if you've been welcomed in to their life without feeling like you haven't got the option. Food, wow, what a chef! Value for money was really pretty bloody good. Location is great, we enjoyed doing trails and waterfalls around Sprinbrook and checking out some of the local villages etc. Go stay with these guys you won't regret it. Sharna (10/5): A wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable break in a beautiful location with excellent hosts! - Absolutely stunning location, gorgeous private cabins with massive spa and a fireplace. Paul and Craig were exceptional hosts and made our stay so enjoyable. Paul’s cooking was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the 3 course menu! And he catered for gluten free no worries. Nothing, it was lovely.

Belinda (10/5): Exceptional - Its so beautiful and peaceful, amazing place to get a way from the city. The hosts were amazing, super friendly, and extremely helpful. The food was exceptional and only 15mins to town. The cottage was self contained clean and well looked after. After riding motorcycles all day, it was nice to have a relaxing spa bath. Having to leave 😊
Adam (10/5): Relaxing and feel removed from the day to day world in the best possible way. - An amazing location, hosts, food and overall welcoming and warm vibe. The hosts were very approachable. But also gave you all the space you wanted if you did. On arrival made myself and my partner feel like we were staying at an old friends place and instantly comfortable and accommodating. Sarah (10/5): One of our best stays in Australia - We stopped here on our drive up the coast as a little pit stop and it ended up being one of our favourite spots! Craig and Paul were brilliant hosts and chefs, we were made to feel very welcome and we even extended our stay to enjoy the view, pool and food. We will be back!
